You had one set of beliefs

until you were 20,

and then the person

you trusted the most said,

"Okay, everything I've taught you

But when I was teaching that to you,

I really believed it

because it's what I had been taught

I'm even talking about, like, pre-that

I thought we were talking about the fact

frum stuff

that I had taught you

No, you always told us

that we were your greatest joy in life

and that it was the best job you ever had

So it was, like, confusing to me

to understand why you weren't able

to be there for me as a mom

during that time

It wasn't about that, it was

about not being allowed to be me

what we went through is crazy

Everything I wanted to do was bad,

and so after years and years

it didn't mean that I loved you less

and it didn't mean

that I didn't love being a mom

because it wasn't about being miserable

it was about being miserable

not being myself

I didn't know that when you were going

through it, that you were so miserable

You were married

You were starting your own life,

and I had no life

I had lived my entire life for my children

and I had put back

all the misery that I felt,

because I wanted you guys

to have a good childhood

But at a certain point,

it was literally life or death

If I hadn't gone the day that I did,

I would have k*lled myself

Hearing, like, how terrible, like, your

What you were going through

and how you didn't want to live,

like, I you know, I didn't know that

I understand that, like, you weren't able

to be there for me as a mom

In order to get yourself out,

you needed to be mentally on your own

I wasn't

able to explain to her what I was doing,

because I myself was not well,

but seeing her deal with her own pain

and the memory

of how alone she felt when I left,

she was justifiably angry with me

It makes me so sad

It was really hard to go through

and I have closed that chapter of

Closed it because you don't

want to think about it

or because you really understand now?

No, I understand. You couldn't It wasn't

You wanted a different life for all of us

and these were the steps

you needed to take to get there

I have my version of my story,

because I lived through everything,

but you were my daughter

living through that

and that's

a totally different perspective

You have every right to it

This has been weighing on me,

this fear that we're gonna go backwards

and it's gonna harm our relationship

I am genuinely so grateful

that my children are all so different

and they're part of the process

and that if there's something

in the book that bothers them,

I can change that

I don't want to hurt them

I'm really happy we had this conversation

the Fashion Institute of Technology

I'm studying marketing, which is

really helping me further my career,

and now I work at Elite

as a social media consultant

Took my mom a long time

to hire me in this position

She wanted me to get to a certain

follower count and place in my career

where she would view me

as a content creator and influencer

I have officially reached

one million followers on TikTok

I feel very thankful

that I've finally gotten to that point,

and I am helping Elite develop a program

to share all the knowledge

and expertise I've learned

to help their models

to develop their social media,

gain followers, and gain influence,

and really change the industry

Definitely when I'm sh**ting a campaign,

I put together a mood board,

but it would be a good idea

to have, like, a Pinterest board

of, like, go-to poses

So I would say, like, maybe, like,

we can do, like, a standing pose,

like, how to create triangles

It just, like, makes a photo

a little bit more interesting

that, like, your searching

for a career is very normal

You shouldn't feel bad or upset

because I think that's part of life

I think you have two different skill sets

One route that you can take

is more the business development
