"The Festival of Might."
[Gladys] Many moons ago,
two mighty warriors from opposing kingdoms
crossed paths while lost in a great storm.
The warriors were named
Mighty Mordecai and Mighty Miriam.
And like their kingdoms,
they did not get along.
But in order to survive,
they decided to work together
to push aside a boulder
blocking the entrance to a cave.
Inside, they found a magic crystal
whose glow gave them light
and warmth during the storm.
And the more they got to know each other,
the brighter it glowed.
[Greymoon] When Mordecai and Miriam
finally emerged as friends,
the storm that was supposed to have lasted
for eight weeks
had miraculously ended
after only eight days.
To this day, kingdoms across the land
celebrate their friendship
with the Festival of Might.
An eight-day extravaganza of games,
interkingdom bonding
and, most importantly,
a fried potato feast! [laughs]
-[all gasps]
-[chuckles]
Each year, a kingdom is chosen
to be the Keeper of the Crystal.
They host a delegation
of last year's Keepers,
and together they place the crystal
in the Sacred Beacon
to keep the Great Storm at bay.
And this year,
the Keeper is finally Sturdystone!
-[laughs] Yeah! Whoo!
-Whoo! Yeah! Sturdystone!
Yes. Which is why you three
have been selected for an important honor…
-[giggles]
-…welcoming a delegation of kids
from last year's Keeping Kingdom.
-[laughs]
-Whoo-hoo!
So, let us do Sturdystone proud
and be the best hosts we can be
to our new friends from Fletchers' Vale.
-What?
-[gasps]
Fletchers' Vale?
But that's where Prince Randolf's from.
[chuckles] I'm the best archer
in all the land.
You're-- You're just some kid with a bow.
-[echoing] Kid with a bow. Kid with a bow.
-[groans]
I've been waiting forever
for Sturdystone to be the Keeping Kingdom.
And now
I'm supposed to get along with Randolf?
Ah, I mean, maybe he's changed
since he was really mean to you
and tried to steal your archery trophy.
Yeah. Or maybe Fletchers' Vale
will send a different prince.
[groans] It's okay.
I won't let Sturdystone down.
[blusters]
I just have to stay calm
and not let him get to me.
[breathes deeply]
-It's only eight days, right?
-[blusters]
-[people cheering]

Queen Bianca. King Yew.
Mighty tidings to you both.
-[laughs] Bring it in. Mmm.

Mighty tidings, Prince Randolf.
Hey, Pinenut.
How's life as the second-best archer
in the greater kingdom area?
[bird cackles]
Fine, thank you. [sighs]
Excuse me. The beacon's about to be lit.

Look at the dinky little beacon.

Prince Randolf, pleasure to see you again.
We're excited
to meet your fellow delegates.
You should be.
This is Prayan, the most advanced
mini mage in Fletchers' Vale.
Whoa! Is that
a Prada-cadabra junior wizard's cloak?
[scoffs] Of course. Any wizard
who's serious about their craft has one.
And I'm Annabelle.
Uh, no. I'm Annabelle.
Oh, my spears. That's so funny.
Well, not to worry,
we'll just call you Annabelle 2.
-[laughs]
-[groaning]
I'm sure by the end of these eight days
we'll all be besties.
-Or, in your case, second besties.
