01x02 - The Summer with Stars, Stripes, and Chicken Fights

Post by bunniefuu »

- I'm back.
- Welcome.

- Miss me?
- Nope.

Hey, uh... I meant to tell you,
so I'm having a party tomorrow.

- Oh.
- Just for July 4th.

- Yes!
- Should be fun, you know?

- Party of the century.
- Literally.

I got to have that sh*t pop off.

- You know, I gotta...
- It's 4th of July.

- It's gonna be fun no matter what.
- I know. 100%, it'll be fun either way.

- Hello.
- Oh, what's up, guys?

- How are you?
- Good. How are you guys?

Good. You look so cute.

Thank you. You look cute too.

I like your little Dockers outfit.

- What about... what about me?
- Oh, yeah.

- So cute.
- Yeah.

I was actually just talking to Avery here
about a party that I'm having.

- Um, for July 4th.
- Oh, no way!

If you guys are interested in coming...

- Oh, my God, yeah. That'd be so fun!
- Yeah, definitely.

Also, um, I've-I've heard we have
a little double-date action going on.

Oh, later today. Yes, we...
I think we do. Yeah.

- Yeah, so, I look forward to that.
- I'll be seeing you when you're done.

Yeah, that'll be fun.

So, does he still not know
that Lottie has a boyfriend?

Oh, my God.

"Oh, my God" is right,

and it's all because of
the city kid, Ilan,

- who I had a crush on for a second.
- What up, what up, what up?

But as it turns out,
he has his eye on Lottie.

And, anyway, my best friend, Emelye,
thinks I should go for Frankie.

Frankie's personality beats
Ilan's out of the woods.

But Frankie is obviously into Shannon.

Meanwhile, Hobbs is vibing on Juliet,

but little does he know
she has a serious boyfriend.

And Milo has officially curbed Reid.

Jumping on top of me
and trying to kiss me.

I was not into it.

Although Reid is clueless.

Speaking of clueless,
Ilan thought Emelye was into him,

but she's basically married to Hunter,

which means sh*t is about to get real.

So, Ilan's obviously
interested in Lottie.

Yeah, but like, she definitely
doesn't think it's a date.

So, should we tell him?

I think it might be better
just to say nothing.

That's going to be so awkward.

That's her problem.

Um, double date?

Yeah, like, Frankie's like,
crushing on Shannon,

and then, like, so I guess
I plus one like, Lottie.

Frankie set it up.

- With Lottie?
- I'm excited.

- Okay.
- I just think, oh, it'll be great.

And, like, this girl Lottie seems nice,
so I'm not worried.

- It'll be fun either way.
- Um, hello.

- Oh, what's up? How we doin'?
- Hey, what's up.

Can we order... some food?

- Yeah.
- Actually, you know what?

I'm going to have you get it,
and I'm going to run on break quick.

- All right. Cool.
- Okay, cool.

I think I might do... ooh,
avocado toast chopped salad.

All right.

Um,

so...

um, okay.

Sorry, I'm, like, new here.
I don't know what I'm doing.

- You're new?
- Yeah. Um,

- I'm out here from the city.
- Oh, cool.

- For the summer.
- Yeah, we're out here for the summer too.

- Yeah. Oh, yeah?
- Yeah.

From Texas.

Cool, cool, cool. Okay, yeah.

Um, I know we don't
know each other at all,

but like, actually,
I'm having a party July 4th.

If you guys are interested,
it's going to be, like, a pool party.

- We're lucky girls, yeah.
- I know.

So, if we're coming to your party,
I think I need to know your name.

Yeah, you should know my name.
My name's Ilan.

- Ilan. Okay, I'm Addison.
- Addison...

- I'm Melissa.
- Addison and Melissa.

We will see you there. I'm not really
going to give you a choice, honestly.

- You just gotta be there.
- Yeah.

- Hello.
- Oh, how are you?

I'm exhausted right now.
I needed a break.

Oh, we're just talking about
our little double date tonight.

Wait. Yes, I want to hear about this.

- She has a boyfriend, right?
- You knew that, right?

- Yeah.
- Yes, I knew that.

Sorta figured it was, like,
common knowledge.

We were just saying like,
Lottie didn't think it was a date.

- Okay.
- Yeah.

Well, do you think it's a date?

- Mmm...
- So, yes!

- No, not really.
- So, yes!

No, not really. I don't know.
I don't think it's a date.

Ilan thinks it's a date
and Frankie thinks it's a date.

It's a date.

- "We're going to hang out."
- Let's relax. We'll see.

"Guys, we're only going
to dinner and a movie. It's not a date."

That's not what's happening!

You know what? Um, me
and Frankie did match on Tinder.

- So, I like...
- A true love story.

- A true love story.
- Yeah.

Like, if this goes great,
you guys will be cute together.

Let's relax.

Money.

Frank.

All right, Wes,
the next two-shot wins.

- Oh, what?
- Ohh!

What?

That was a "spicy meat-a-ball."

- Oh, my goodness.
- Oh, Wes!

- That was a good game.
- You just got whupped, son.

- Oh, my gosh.
- You're lucky, though.

I was slippin' and sh*t.

Oh, my God.

We haven't played basketball
like that in a minute... before.

And you just got whupped, son.

Larry Bird out here.

So, uh, so tell me about this girl, man.

- Shannon?
- Mm-hmm.

- She's pretty cool, bro.
- Yeah?

- I'm kinda digging her.
- Yeah?

Yeah. I just set up a little, like,
yoga thing or... call it a date.

Call it a date?

I'm really not that good with girls.

One-on-one, I'm shy.

That's why I've set up a double-date.

Mmm, dog.

Hey! Look who's here!

What's up, my family?
Come on.

Stop.

Stop already.

Here we go!

- I got it.
- Go, Mom!

Mom holds the power.
Whoo-hoo!

Oh!

Mad cold.

What do you want to do today?

I don't know. Skate, surf...

go to the beach.

Ah!

- Whoo!
- Aye-aye-aye!

What are you doing?

I get a little competitive.
I'm sorry.

I love competitive.
That's how I raised you, girl.

g*dd*mn it!

You know how, like,
Reid told us what Ilan said?

- That I was eyeing him?
- This is f*cked.

But I honestly think Ilan's
just a little tool, so.

It's okay. Like...

- I think he's just weird.
- He's stupid weird.

I don't know, it's just f*ck' weird
to see a kid coming from nowhere.

He's just a city kid.

A "citiot."

Nice game, guys. Nice game.

You guys got lucky.
I mean, that was kind of a tough defeat.

You did good.

Actually, I'm really, really happy
because you did much better

than I thought you'd do.
Put that over here, please.

I'm inconsistent, you know.

The serve definitely needs some work.

Yeah, but you played great.

- Thank you, Mama.
- I'm hungry.

- You're hungry, but you got to wait.
- Aww.

Come on, your grandparents
are getting here soon.

- Yeah, I'm starving too.
- Yeah, now we're all starving.

Nobody touch, though.

Oh, look who's here!

- Hello.
- Hi!

Hello.

How are you?

- Here's the boy, and here's the man.
- How are you?

What's going on?

- This is gorgeous!
- Dad, come sit down right next to Mommy.

It's so good to see you all.

- Love you.
- I love my grandson.

So, how's the house for the summer,
by the way?

It's fantastic, you know,
the Cohens are being great, obviously.

Now is the house all furnished too?

Yeah, it's a wonderful house.

- It's really nice.
- Oh.

- Five bedrooms.
- Are you taking good care of it?

I'm taking good care of it, you know.

It's a little bit messy after this
weekend, but I'm gonna clean it up.

I'm honestly worried about if you're
having all these parties and stuff

that you just really respect their stuff.

- I know. I know how you always do.
- I know you know.

But you know, I worry anyway,
even though I know you know.

I know.

Who wants wine, by the way?
Anybody up for some wine?

- Dad, Mom, wine?
- I would love a glass.

- A tiny bit of wine.
- David, always.

Thank you, darling.
Yes, always.

Glass of wine? Rosé?

- Thank you.
- You're welcome.

Can I get you two
started with anything to drink?

Um, can I have just a glass
of Pinot Grigio?

- Absolutely.
- Thank you.

Can I get you anything else
to drink besides the water?

I'm fine with water. Thank you.

Really? Not even wine?

No. I don't want to be like

the "alky" parents out here

that get wasted and slammed
every night.

- This is awesome.
- Very pretty.

That is pretty.

So, what's been going on lately?

Me and Tony are actually
going to Boston this weekend.

Okay.

Our nine months was two days ago,

so he got me tickets
to the Red Sox/Yankees game.

So, you're doing
month-to-month anniversary?

Why do you say it like that?

Because who does that?

What do you mean?

- Who celebrates month to month?
- We don't celebrate month to month,

but, like, he lives in Connecticut,

so, like, might as well do something.

Yeah, I guess.

So, after Boston,

are you going to start applying
for any jobs...

- Um...
- related to your major?

Well... me and Tony
both want to move.

I feel like I'm going to have
to wait, though,

because he still has
a year left in school.

- Okay.
- So, I feel like I need to work

just, like, any job,
and then save up, and then move.

- Like, does that make sense?
- No.

In your field,
there are no jobs out there.

No, not for my major. Just any job.
Like waitressing, bartending...

- No. No.
- Why?

No. You find a job in your field,
right off the bat.

All right.

So, what are you gonna do
after the summer?

What are your plans?

Um, I'm still not sure.

You know, I'm a computer science major.

So, for me, if I can come out of school
with a computer science degree

from University of Michigan,
that'd be fantastic.

But once I achieve that, right,
I still don't really know

'cause I don't know what
I'm interested in, unfortunately.

Of course, you're not supposed to.

Yeah.

But, like, I have my insecurities
about it, to be honest.

You know, Ilan, I really, really feel

that you put yourself
under a lot of pressure.

I certainly didn't know
when I was in law school

what kind of law I'd be practicing, where.

I never thought I'd end up

in the Congress of
the United States for 32 years.

And I changed my careers midway.

- I changed my major, like, eight times.
- Exactly.

So, we'll see what kind of job I can get.

You have a job already.

Your job is to figure out
who you are and what you love.

That is your job at 21.

And you're doing everything right.

All you have to do is be prepared
to grab opportunities.

It's a little bit stressful.

But it shouldn't be stressful.

It should be fun.

Life is in the journey. Stop worrying.

- So, you need to find a job.
- Mm-hmm.

Thank you.

And you need to move out.

- Really?
- Mmm-hmm.

You told that to Emmanuel?

- Yes.
- What'd he say?

Your brother said that
he's moving to the basement!

I'm gonna be honest,
I feel like it's really unfair

that Emmanuel and I just, like,

don't get the same treatment.

Like, Dad doesn't let Tony sleep over,

- but Emmanuel...
- Your dad...

like, he's allowed to have any girl,
random girl off the street,

like, sleep over in his room,
and I'm just like...

Your dad grew up in a time where

boys and girls were treated differently.

I think that's stupid.

He doesn't want you
being a young mom, unwed.

That's not going to be me.

In his eyes, you're a girl,
and that's what that means.

Whatever.

I mean, I am very fond of Tony.

I know.

But it does bother him
that Dad doesn't, like...

- Accept him?
- Yeah.

That's something he doesn't
really like, understand.

But you did explain to him that
your dad is Hispanic, and...

- I explained that it's just my dad.
- It's just a cultural thing.

Like, any boyfriend
I would have had, like,

- my dad would have probably...
- Freaked out.

- Reacted the same way.
- Not probably. He would have.

So, I'm like,
don't take it personal, like...

You know, take your car keys
and lock you in your room.

Crazy.

So, what's the girl situation like?

Um, my girl situation?

Right. I know you're
getting over this breakup,

and I want to see you out and about.

You always bring that up.

I know, because I want
to see you happy.

I am happy.

I think I'm just trying
to, like, meet new people, you know,

laying out the options.

Now, is your goal
to have a serious relationship

or just to play around
all summer long and have fun?

- TBD.
- My plan is to just live life.

And if someone makes me
feel a certain way, then I will.

And how are you gonna know
whether or not the person

is worthy of a relationship?

Would you find that out
at three in the morning at a bar?

Where do you find that out?

- Whether me and my mom like her.
- It's actually an interesting question,

but I've always been a man
that trusts my instincts, you know?

I know myself really well,
and I know what I want.

And I know what I look for in a woman.

I can't say you've always
been that kind of guy.

True.

But... I feel like I couldn't date someone

unless I was, like...
I felt like, oh, maybe I could

be with them for the rest of my life.

What?

You know, like, otherwise,
what's the point of dating, you know?

Oh, that's beautiful.

Love you, darling.

- Do you wanna race down?
- No.

I'll just start doing a cartwheel.

Whoo!
Where's Ilan and Frankie?

Oh, not here yet.

Whoo! Okay.

I assume
they'll probably be here soon.

What flavor are you having?
Eww, I hate lime.

- Why?
- Lime is the worst flavor.

Do you think Frankie's gonna try
to put the moves on you again?

- Oh, my God.
- Tonight?

I don't know, like, I'm just enjoying

getting to know him and, like...

But you're not really, like, so into him.

No, I... I don't know.

I feel like I'm a little open.

He has a good personality
and he's a little different,

but in a good way.

Like how he's into yoga
and, like, really spiritual.

I mean, I think that's
kind of refreshing, like, different.

- Yeah.
- I don't know.

I wonder when the guys are coming.

Yeah, it's kind of weird
they're not here, but...

- Oh, I have a text from Frankie.
- Oh.

- Oh, my God!
- What did he say?

- Aww, I feel bad.
- What?

Frankie hurt himself surfing.

Look, he sent me this text
saying he bailed.

- He sent a little picture.
- A photo.

- I know!
- Oh, my gosh.

- But he looks like he's crying a little.
- I feel bad.

Maybe he's crying
'cause he couldn't make it.

Aww. He's so sad.
He's gonna miss me.

Maybe he'll ask you out on a date.

Well, this was supposed
to be a double date.

No.

I was in disbelief too,

but apparently Ilan was like,

"Oh, I'm going to see you later
for our little date tonight?"

And I was like...

"Uh, yeah."

Well, I would've, you know,
let Ilan down easy.

- Really?
- Yeah. Obviously.

Okay, but come on.

This is our ultimate "Hot Girl Summer,"

or at least it's my "Hot Girl Summer."

I don't know if you're...

You can still be a hot girl with a boo.

Yeah?

I don't know.

It would be fun if you were
single, like, no offense.

But think about all of the wealthy
men coming out here to summer.

Like, come on.

But, like, I just, like,

like to be in a relationship.

Cool.

Yep.

July 4th, baby.
Let's f*cking go.

Anyone coming through
that you're excited for?

Yeah. There's this one girl, like,
I invited yesterday. She's from Texas.

She came up to the Shack.
She was being flirty or whatever.

New York City guy, Texas girl.

Yeah. It was nice.

Is there gonna be good music at Ilan's?

I hope so.

I feel like he definitely does,
like, the Euro creep, kind of like...

Oh, yeah!

And he's like...

I can literally picture him
holding a bottle going like...

- Cheers. Cheers up. You got it?
- Yeah. Let's have it.

Ooh.

So, all of our friends
are going to be there,

but... I guess we'll just see
how it goes today. I mean...

I never liked Ilan
from the moment I met him.

I don't know who
he thinks he's f*cking with.

- Well, this is what I want to do, but...
- What do you want to do?

Okay. So, I only want to say,
"Oh, my God, hey, Ilan."

And then we start hooking up
in front of him.

So, he's like, "What?"

And then I'm like, "I don't know how you'd
think I would ever be flirting with you."

And then I'm going to be like,
"Gotta go."

Yeah, are we excited for this?

- I'm excited.
- Are you excited?

After your little double date.

- No, it didn't happen.
- What happened?

Me and Lottie had a little date instead.

- Wait...
- Ew. Ilan and Frankie didn't come.

So, I didn't get the chance to tell Ilan
that I have a boyfriend, so.

- Yeah?
- Yeah.

- That's still up in the air.
- Whatever.

Yeah.

- You want to take one more shot?
- Yeah, let's do it.

To a great day.

- To an amazing day.
- To America.

To America! USA, baby.

- Hey.
- Yo, what's up, shorties?

What's your name again?
I can't remember.

- Zed.
- Zed.

- Frankie. How we doin', baby?
- Ilan. What up, baby? Good.

Dude, this place is
looking pretty party-ready right now.

- Right?
- The crib is fresh.

Thank you, boys.
I appreciate you.

Yo, Frankie, so what
happened to you yesterday?

Dude, I f*cked my neck up pretty bad.

f*cked up our date too.

I know, dude.
Hey, is there other chicks coming?

- Or what's the deal with that?
- Oh, come on now. Come on.

Come on, bro. I gotta ask.

Is the Pope Catholic?

- What?
- Is the Pope Catholic?

I've never heard
that before, but I suppose he is.

Frankie!

- Ilan.
- Oh, what's up, boys?

Good.

- Hey, what up, Hobbs.
- Habtamu in the house.

- What up, man?
- I'm Hobbs, nice to meet you.

- What's your name?
- This is looking... this is looking fine.

- Looking nice, right?
- You did it.

We got Juliet coming today, huh?

She is, yeah.

She's coming. I got you.

Dude, I got some news for you.
I got some news for you, dude.

What's the f*cking news?

She has a boyfriend.

Juliet's the girl we're
trying to set him up with.

Bro, there's going to be, like,
a bunch of other girls coming.

I was at the Shack yesterday.

These two girls from Texas are ordering,
like, avocado chopped salad

or something like that.

I'm like, "Avocado chopped salad.

Have you heard of this party
I'm having at my crib?"

Really clean transition.

- Oh, let's play BP. Let's go.
- We're playing beer pong.

Yo, let me hear your house rules.

There's no ba*ls back.
There's no heating up. That sh*t's wack.

Nah, yeah.

And then with re-racks,
what should we do?

One re-rack.

- All right. Fair.
- We can do one re-rack.

We're not at school right now,

- but if you were at Michigan...
- You got a behind your back.

You're in the Hamptons now, baby.

Yeah.

Oh.

Watch out, he's a k*ller.

- f*ck me.
- For real.

Baby. Oh, f*ck me.

- f*ck!
- I thought you went to college?

Come on, guys.
Pressure's on. Pressure's on.

Oh, there you go!

I love it when the pressure's on.

It's when I perform.

Ah! f*ck!

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

What's good, Reid?

- Hey.
- How are you?

- What's up?
- How are you doing?

- How are you?
- Good today.

It's the host himself.
How's it been here?

So, you and Reid are, like, fine, right?

Like, I really just, like,
don't care enough.

The stuff from the bonfire
just kind of blew over?

Yeah. I'm over it.

- That's good.
- So mature of you.

What's good?

- Hi.
- How are we doing?

- Doing good. How are you?
- Nice to see you again.

- Thanks for coming.
- Yes, of course.

What do you want? Rosé, tequila?

Rosé, absolutely.

- Rosé?
- And tequila shots.

All right, so we'll take
a tequila shot and then rosé.

- Yes. Ready?
- Cheers.

Oh, God. I was... Ugh.

I mean, that was alarming and painful.

Ugh!

How was the double date with Shannon?
Did it end up popping off?

- What happened?
- Actually,

I kind of bailed on it, just 'cause
I f*cked up my neck surfing yesterday.

- She's coming?
- She is coming.

But like... today is the day
where we're weighing options.

I like that.

That's what I was trying
to think about Juliet,

'cause she has a boyfriend,
but she's coming tonight.

I think she's coming here
with her brother or something?

Well, if she's not
with her boyfriend, go in...

- Come on, man.
- Let's do it.

I'm gonna still be
as respectful as I am now.

You know, I'm not a dude
to be a f*cking d*ck.

I'm going to give it time,
but I'm gonna still be nice to her.

sh*t, look who it is.
Look who it is.

- Hi.
- Hi, what's good?

- What's up. How's it goin'?
- How's it goin'?

- Hi, Juliet. How are you?
- Good.

- What's up, brother, what's your name?
- Emmanuel.

- Emmanuel, Frankie.
- This is my brother.

- Hobbs.
- Hobbs?

- Nice to meet you.
- Nice to meet you, brother.

Rosé. I'm a French guy so...

- You're French?
- My dad's French.

So, I'm, like, half-French.

- Are you Jewish?
- I am Jewish. Yes.

How kosher are you?

Like, not at all.

I will say all of
my favorite bloggers are Jewish.

- Oh, yeah?
- Yeah.

Who are your favorite vloggers?

It's not "vloggers," bloggers.

Oh, okay.

So, what do they post about?

Like the thing you do on Friday?

What do you do on Friday?

- Oh, like, Shabbat Shalom. That sh*t?
- Yes! That kind, yeah.

- Yeah, yeah.
- Yo, what's up?

- Hi. Good to see you. What's goin' on?
- Oh!

- I'm great!
- It's the after party.

Hi, oh my God. Eman!
What's good?

- Please, let's get the party started.
- All right.

What have you been up to
in the last, like, week?

- You know.
- Yeah?

- I've been going to Connecticut...
- For what?

- To visit my boyfriend.
- Oh, nice.

- Just got a puppy, yes.
- Gotcha.

- Yes, so...
- So excited.

- It's good.
- Yeah.

Wait, what's your major?
Did you already tell me?

- Computer science.
- Oh, that's kind of nerdy,

but you don't seem like a nerd.

Yeah, that's, like, my whole
kind of plot twist, you know?

I don't really seem like a nerd,
but I'm low-key, like very much nerd.

- That's very interesting.
- Yeah.

- Oh, sh*t, look who it is.
- Hey-h*!

How are you?

- How are you?
- Good.

- Good, how are you?
- Good, how are you?

Normally, like,
people that don't know me,

they just judge me
for whatever the f*ck I am.

That's weird.

I mean, I won't lie. I'm a pretty
judgmental person as well, so I...

What do you judge people for?

It's not like I judge people.

It's that, like, I trust my instincts.

My initial instincts on people,
like, when I meet someone.

When I met you, I'm like,
"All right, this girl's cute.

I vibe with her. Let me
invite her to my party, whatever."

And, like, other people,
if I don't get that instinct,

then it's like,
what's there, you know?

- Like what are we doing?
- I get that, yeah.

You guys, wait!

- Hey.
- Hello.

- How are you guys?
- Pretty good, how are you?

- Hi.
- Hi.

Eww, you're sweaty.

Hi, Zed, how are you?

- Hi.
- How are you doin'?

- You look so cute!
- Hi, you look so pretty.

- Thank you.
- Hi, Hunter.

- How's it goin'?
- Oh, same old sh*t.

Oh, I think there are, like,
more people here.

- What's up?
- Hi. How are you?

I mean, I'll talk to you forever,
honestly. I can be there for you.

- Thank you. I appreciate it.
- Yeah of course.

Excuse me.

- How are you?
- Hello? Oh, are you going to stand up?

Yeah, I think I'll...
What's going on?

Give me a drink, give me food.
I need something!

Okay, wait, do I talk to Milo?
I don't know...

Uh-oh.
Did you see Reid over there?

Yeah.

I don't know, should I ask him
how he feels about the bonfire?

Dude, no.

Frankie,
we could play beer pong.

Okay.

Oh, sh*t.

We just got here, relax.

Well, happy 4th of July, girls.

- Thank you.
- You too.

Okay.

- Damn it.
- Huh.

- Huh.
- You're tryin' to show off.

Frankie's so funny.

No!

See, what's going on here?

- I think he's such a good time.
- Yeah.

He's so funny. No, but...

also, isn't he mad cute?

Um, sad. Anyway...

- How's your Fourth?
- Good.

So, what have you been doing?

I literally just work, so...

I feel like I haven't
talked to you for awhile...

- I know.
- But, um,

you came here
with Shannon and Lottie, right?

Yeah.

Hey!

I just love how close they are

'cause, like, I don't know, you feel like
you're kind of in that group too.

- Oh, my God.
- Damn!

Oh, my God, I'm gonna start sweating.

Are you not dying of sweat right now?

I'm, like, really hot.

You want to go?

- I don't care.
- Okay.

What about Dockers?
Do Lottie and Shannon work there too?

No, we're trying to get Shannon
a job there, though.

- Oh, really?
- Um, yeah, 'cause she's not

doing anything this summer, so...

Okay, there we go.

Honestly, it's pretty fun.
Ilan's in the food truck with me.

Have you heard anything about Ilan?

No, why?

Should I have?

He told Reid, that I was, like, eyeing
him down... like, flirting with him.

- And I'm like, "Oh, ew."
- Okay.

Like, super off-putting.

- But I thought...
- That's so weird.

You wanted to get with him.

I thought, but no.

Like, he was supposed to go
on a double date last night.

It was going to be Frankie,
Ilan, Lottie, and Shannon.

But Lottie has a boyfriend.

- He's such a f*ck'...
- That's what I mean, though,

is, like, he comes across as super,
like, you know, well-rounded,

"I'm really such a great person.
I work out. I really respect my mom,

my family, my sister, whatever."

But after that I was like, "Oh."

- I was like, "Shut the f*ck up."
- Oh, please.

He doesn't respect women.

My mom's a f*cking badass,
by the way.

- I'm sure.
- Absolutely beast.

But my sister's, oh, she's perfect.

The most beautiful thing in the world.

I love that.

I'm sweating.

I have to go inside.

This is actually so nice,
what the f*ck?

Ilan has a nice house!

His house is really so nice.

- Wow.
- And then we don't get to see it.

Oh, my God.

Dude,
it's so much nicer in here.

It's like
four million degrees outside.

Frankie, how is your neck?

It's feeling better today.
But yesterday I was, like, stuck in bed,

like this, like with my shoulders up.

I couldn't even move.

And then I went to the chiropractor
and, like, he readjusted it and then...

Seems awfully fine now.

It's definitely all right now
because I went to the chiropractor.

You guys want to go in the pool
'cause it's so f*cking hot out?

Oh, we're like this.

I see you got a swimsuit on.
You have a swimsuit on.

- Okay.
- I'll watch you swim.

Don't be f*cking lame.

Maybe in a little, we're going
to use the bathroom right now.

- But maybe soon.
- All right.

Go, go, go do your
little girl's trip in the bathroom.

- We'll see you guys out there.
- All right.

- Should we go outside?
- Yeah.

- And sweat our asses off?
- Unfortunately, yes.

Where's the bathroom?

I'm f*cking sweating.

No, but you look good.
Frankie was looking at you like, "Mmm."

- Just now?
- Yes.

- Are you kidding?
- No! He thinks you look sexy.

He was like,
"I see you have a bathing suit on."

I was like, "Oh, my gosh!"

- How you doin', man?
- Oh, I'm vibin'.

Cute, beautiful.

Love it!

Let me see.

Okay, I'll take the next one now.

Okay, but make my butt look good.

Ooh.

Damn.

Ooh.

You look really good.

- You good?
- Yeah.

Good.

Fantastic.

This one's my favorite one.

- Look at my face.
- I don't care. You look cute.

Look at him,
he's macking on every woman here.

Isn't it crazy, though, that someone
in Texas ended up in the Hamptons?

- It's kinda crazy.
- Yeah, it is crazy.

That's fine.
They don't have a boyfriends.

I'll hit that f*ck.

He clearly just doesn't care.

Well, I'm gonna make him care.

Ooh.

God!

Ilan!

Yo, Ilan!

Come here for a sec?

We're not going to have a problem, right?

- What are we talking about?
- You know what I'm talking about.

Don't act stupid.
We're not going to have a problem. Right?

I don't know.

You know what you said to Emelye.

What did I say to Emelye?

You tell me.

- What'd you say?
- I don't know.

I'm just saying,
if you say anything to her,

we're gonna have a problem.

I didn't say anything to her.

You talk sh*t to anyone else,
and I f*ck' hear about it,

we're gonna have a problem.

It had nothing to do with Emelye.
It was literally just me and you.

- What?
- Just me and you, like...

Me and you have a problem?

- I guess we do now.
- We do.

It has nothing to do
with your girl, by the way.

Yeah, but Reid said that you said
that I was eyeing you down,

- which I didn't...
- No!

Mm-mm. Mm-mm.
I never said "eyeing down" or anything.

You said I was basically
flirting with you.

No, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no.

All I said was that I saw you guys
were fighting for three hours straight.

- We weren't fighting.
- Exactly, so don't f*ck' assume.

How about you keep
your f*cking mouth shut?

'Cause if we have a problem,
I'll make sure you f*cking

swallow your teeth. How about that?

- What the f*ck going on in here?
- I don't know.

Just don't talk to my girl.
Don't say anything. That's it.

- Obviously, you know...
- What's up, baby?

How are you, baby?

What is going on?

It's just like, I don't want you
f*ck' scheming on my girl

- and that's how...
- I really wasn't...

Do it again or we're gonna have
a f*ck' problem.

- I'm just letting you know.
- We're not gonna have a problem

'cause we're all friends here.

I just heard what I heard.
So, I'm f*cking giving it out to you.

Also, I f*cking heard that you asking
what's-her-name out on a date

- and she has a boyfriend...
- Who?

- Don't you even think about...
- Lottie?

- Saying that to my girl, all right?
- I had no idea Lottie had girlfriend,

- either way.
- I literally don't care

- about anything you have to say.
- You don't need to.

No, I don't.

Wait, hold on.

No one's gonna be
spinning on Emelye

'cause everyone knows
you're with Emelye.

I wouldn't let that happen.

He wouldn't get to have that chance.

- I'm just speaking my mind.
- I know. I know you are.

But can we just shake hands
and all be friends here?

I'm not shaking your hand.
I'm just letting you know.

- All right, you have a good one, man.
- All right.

All right, Frankie...

- We get it, big guy.
- Thanks for being the mediator.

- I am the mediator.
- I'm outey-bo-outey.

All righty.

I'm so in trouble.

What the f*ck just happened?

- I have no idea!
- God damnit!

Jesus Christ,
that just gave me agita.

Oh, Lord.

This guy needed to be, like,
the big guy beefing around me.

Avery,
Hunter just called out Ilan.

- It was the funniest sh*t...
- Wait, what?

Like, Ilan's just sitting there, like,

"I never said that she was
eyeing me down." And I'm like, okay.

You didn't tell me Lottie had a boyfriend.

By the way.

Right, I didn't.

Hunter also brought up
how Ilan asked Lottie on a date

- and she has a boyfriend.
- Yeah.

And then Frankie walks in
and tries to mediate it.

Frankie's like...
Frankie's like, "Shake hands."

- Frankie's so funny.
- I know.

You made me look bad as sh*t.

Wait, bro, because remember
when my phone died,

- when I texted Shannon?
- Yeah.

She texted back later
when I charged my phone.

I saw the text message
she sent back to me.

- "Lottie has a boyfriend?"
- Lottie has a boyfriend.

You could've f*cking told me that!

- Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
- I know. No, I know.

So, now...

Okay, so now tell me
Lottie has a boyfriend.

- Lottie has a boyfriend.
- All right, thank you, thank you.

- So...
- Oh, my God.

I don't really care what the situation is.

I'm gonna drop it and let it the f*ck go.
Obviously, I don't care about Ilan.

Do you think Reid made it up or no?

No, I think Ilan's f*cking lying.

f*ck' dipshit.

I just want to know...

what your thoughts on Ilan are?

Because I love the kid,
and he was talking to me

about maybe wanting to meet someone.

Okay.

And you guys were sitting by
the pool talking for so long.

So, what do you think?

Okay.

He... is cute.

Um...

- Actually, he's very cute.
- Okay.

I feel like I'm lying to myself.
He's very cute.

I mean, Addi's pretty cute.

I saw you talking with her the whole time.

I know, Addi is fantastic... by the way.

- Do you like her?
- Yeah, she's dope.

- Oh, you do?
- Yeah.

There's a bunch of
good-looking chicks here, yeah?

I know.

Oh!

- This feels good.
- Oh, it does feel good.

Oh, see, that's a little scary.

Don't splash on me!

If he splashes us, I will cry.

How is it with Shannon, though?

Dude, Shannon's like...

- Oh, God!
- Oh, no! Oh!

Oh, my gosh.

That sh*t...
It's a little sus, bro.

- Why?
- Like I don't...

I don't want to say she doesn't
have too much substance to her,

but, like, she's not really,
like, attracting me anymore.

Yeah.

Has Frankie tried
to put any moves on you?

- No.
- No?

- No.
- Oh.

I don't want to say
she's not that interesting,

but she doesn't have that much...

Like what do you guys speak about?

Substance to her?

Because I'm, like, I'm a deep person.
Like, I'm very spiritual, and, like...

I'm just not seeing it
with her, you know?

Oh, God.

All right, this is becoming
a little scary.

Ooh.

Do you see their butts?

They're insane.

Sexy mama!

Literally both of you.
You guys have gorgeous butts.

Now I'm really not going in.

Here comes the man,
the myth, the host.

Boy, did I... I just got destroyed.

- What happened?
- Get destroyed?

Reid, you dicked me down.
You dicked me down.

Oh, I know what I did.

Yeah, you know exactly what you did.

- You mad at me?
- I'm not mad at you.

- Oh, no.
- We've got Hunter and Emelye there.

I've heard about this, yes.

Yeah. I'm sorry. Um,

but I'm glad you guys handled it, I guess.

Yeah, I guess...

Did you handle it?

I didn't do sh*t.

You didn't do sh*t?

Well, I did sh*t yesterday.

So, you did sh*t yesterday.
Did you do sh*t today?

- No, I didn't do anything...
- You didn't do sh*t.

Sound like nothing was handled.

There you go.

You guys are gettin' along.
What are your thoughts on her?

What are your thoughts on me?

I think you're beautiful.

- He thinks I'm beautiful.
- Obviously.

- I do.
- What about her personality?

Yeah. It's really cool, honestly.

I loved how you were
just, like, straight up with me.

- I'm very real.
- That's good.

Yeah. It's good.

That's why, like,
I went in there and they were, like,

making me involved
in this whole f*cking thing

that I just wasn't a part of.

No, I think that's bullshit.

It's f*cking bullshit.

I think drama is f*cking stupid.

Wait, we just switched the conversation.
I was asking you to ask her about a date.

- Are you going to ask her or what?
- You want to go on a date with me?

- I would love to go on a date you.
- Yeah?

That's how
you f*cking do it, yes.

I will take you to
the nicest place in the Hamptons.

- Obviously. 100%.
- Amazing.

- Bye, lovebugs.
- Bye.

- Nice to talk to you.
- Bye, guy.

So, I'm thinking we go out to dinner.

Maybe a little sushi?
Are you into sushi?

My favorite food is pasta, but, like,
if you can't make that happen...

- I can make pasta happen.
- I also like the beach.

Like, if we go on a date,
the beach would be nice.

Okay.

So, how about: beach picnic?

You're reading my mind.

- Oh, my God.
- Oh, my God!

Get on her f*cking shoulders right now.

I wanna see the colors
of the fried chicken-fight.

My money's on Emelye.

Oh! Yup!

I need someone to
chicken-fight with. Shannon?

Absolutely not!
I'm not chicken-fighting.

You. You're getting the f*ck in the pool.

No.

Why'd you wear a bathing suit?

- What is the point in that?
- I said no.

Oh, my God.

- Yo! Chicken fight!
- Now I'm gonna be on top.

- Emelye!
- Come on!

Emelye!

How is she holding him?

She's a strong independent woman!

Let's f*cking go, b*tch.

All right,
Emelye and Hunter take the win.

Why didn't you chicken-fight with me?
Why'd you gotta do it with the g*y boy?

- Frankie!
- Relax.

Wait, why would you say that?

- I can't.
- Oh, my God.

Frankie, that's just, like, not okay.

Yo, let's play volleyball.

What do you mean?

Oh, my God.

Get the f*ck in the pool.

No.

You're ruining it right now.

Is Frankie like
turning you off right now?

Serve it up!

Um...

That's a lot.

Um...

Yeah. I feel bad. Look at him.

Milo's really upset.

Totally. 100%.

Yeah.

That's not okay that he said that.

Wait, what's this necklace?
Tell me about it.

It's, like, one of the most popular
French jewelry brands out there.

Okay.

- It's called fromage.
- Okay.

- Absolutely fantastic.
- Tell me about it.

- They're French...
- Okay.

- And they're popular and fantastic.
- Okay.

- And like, that's just what it is.
- Okay.

Yeah, 'cause that's
what it's all about.

Okay.

This is so sus in the pool.

Ilan is literally so extra.

- Is this it?
- Yeah, isn't that gorgeous?

Yeah, it is beautiful.

I think you'd wear gold.

- Gold?
- I like golden and silver. I like...

Interesting.

All right.
That's a little ridiculous.

- You seem like a good girl.
- Yeah, I am.

All right, so, like,
we're going to go shopping.

- What?!
- Absolutely!

I would love
to go shopping with you.

All right. What the f*ck?

- Jewelry shopping would be fantastic.
- Yes! Yes yes yes yes.

Perfect. Perfect.

Can they just f*cking do it?
The anticipation is k*lling me.

- What?
- Can I talk to you one second?

- Yeah, of course.
- Okay, cool.

Be back guys.

- Uh-oh.
- All right, I'm in. I'm in.

- Honestly, I'm glad you called me.
- Why?

'Cause I wanna talk about
the bonfire a little bit.

Like we had the moment in the city,

I guess I was like, "Oh, maybe, like,
maybe he's into me?"

But... I did drink too much
at the bonfire.

So, sorry I did that to you. I think it
was crossing the line a little bit.

- No it's...
- Though I did, so.

- Like it happened...
- When there's a tequila in my hand,

I just keep drinking it,
so I don't know.

I'm not gonna lie.
Like, I was bothered by it.

- That's so embarrassing.
- Yeah. But I totally understand.

How embarrassing. I'm so sorry.

No, I totally forgive you.
Like, just like...

Like, I very much appreciate it.

- Like, I really don't care.
- I hope I didn't ruin everything forever,

but I would love to be friends.
I'm literally so down.

No, like, I really like,
want to be friends.

Like a friend zone, though?

Is that what's happening?
Am I friend zoned?

Um...

I would love to hang out sober
and they get to know you as a person.

Drive around, music blasting,
watch the sunset, drink some wine.

Like do something alone.

- Uh...
- I mean, like, a summer fling,

but do whatever the f*ck you want also.

'Cause I don't want to be
settled down until I'm, like, 26.

That's it? You know?

Okay. Well, regardless,
completely unrelated

from like us and whatever.

Today, the thing that, like,
I was bothered about...

um,

is when we were in the pool and
like, you were on Zed's shoulders.

Mm-hmm.

Frankie came over and he was like,

"Zed, why would you let
the g*y guy get on your shoulders?"

And like, hey, everything aside,

- I literally do not give a sh*t about...
- Dude. What the f*ck?

Anything that's happened between us,
that actually was very upsetting to me.

You can say whatever you want,
but there's a point where it's too far.

Yo, Frankie, come with me.

I'm trying to eat real quick.

Dude.

I got to get Frankie home.

Is he okay?

Yo, dude, we gotta go.

Oh, my God.

Dude, he was just, like, a little bit
intoxicated

and was being an a...
That doesn't excuse it at all?

- But it's not... it's not an excuse.
- Yeah.

So, let's go.

I'm getting ready.

- Um, I'm leaving right now.
- Stack up. Stack up.

That hangover is gonna be
kickin' tomorrow morning.

Yo, Frankie. Frankie.

- Love y'all.
- Peace out, guys.

He probably thinks it's not that hurtful.
You know what I'm saying?

But that is like, why?

I just feel like it's hard for
anybody else to understand.

And for every other like,
straight girl who was there,

- to just be like, "Oh, like, ha-ha."
- Yeah.

And me being, "That's not okay."

I wish that I had said more
in that moment, but like,

- I was just caught off guard.
- Yeah. That's fair.

I'm not trying to, like, cancel anybody,

but that's not something
that I want to just let slide.

Yeah. That's actually kinda f*cked up.

It sucks. Like it should not be this way,

but it's like, do we need to
stick together on this front, you know?

Definitely stick together. Obviously,
I have your back no matter what.

But... I've worked with him
the whole entire summer.

How do I talk to him, like, as a friend?

Okay.

All right, I'm processing that,
but like, yeah.

I appreciate you telling me too.

Thank you.

I don't know. I gotta process this sh*t.
All right, bye. Thank you so much.

- Yeah.
- Sorry.

Hey Reid.

Are you okay, Reid?

Are you chilling?

Yeah, I'm chilling.

What's wrong, Reid?

You just look a little sad.

Yeah I am a little sad, honestly.

Okay. So, I just find me
some f*cking tea over here.

Apparently after I was on
Zed's shoulders in the pool,

Frankie was like,

"Why would you let
the g*y guy on your shoulders?"

What?

Whoa!

That's f*cked up.

That's an ignorant thing to say.

If it were me,
I'd go straight out to him.

- Like, "Why did you say that?"
- You should know.

You should be like,
"What did you mean by that?"

Dude, I'm sorry that even came up.

That's f*cked up.

I don't know.
I feel like he was really hammered.

- That's not an excuse.
- Not that's an excuse.

Still if you're drunk,
don't say that sh*t. He f*cked up...

It's still in his head.
That means it was still in his head.

I agree.

If you say something the slightest bit
offensive when you're drunk...

That's still in the back of his head.

- Be like you mean it.
- Yeah. True.

He's a f*cking as*h*le, bro.
