and they misunderstand her.

She puts her neck out

on the line for people,

and then they get mad at her.

I mean, it is just horrendous.

And you know what? Every Joseph Smith,

every, every wonderful man of God

has had to be misunderstood.

I woke up.

The Spirit told me it's all the devil.

I mean, you've seen him.

You've watched him come at me,

When was the last time

They put us in separate cells,

and we've been in separate cells

ever since.

And that's when things

kind of started turning.

I was like, "She's not been honest."

Believe that God has a hand in

the old Ruby being set free,

or whatever you want to call it.

[Ruby] Yeah, absolutely.

This has been

the strangest

and the most miraculous intervention.

It separated me from Jodi,

so I'm not hearing her.

And I think just

being gone and not hearing her

has cleared a lot of things up for me.

[Jodi] I know this sounds crazy,

and I still can't put my finger on

why it feels this way,

but it feels like

I was being set up

to end up here.

I know that sounds bizarro.

I mean, I shouldn't be here.

I haven't done anything wrong.

[Jodi] We didn't do that.

Those pictures, we did not do.

He did that to himself.

Did we put that on him?

And then he rubbed around and

cut himself? Yes.

But we didn't do that.

[Ruby] Jodi denies everything.

and I was shocked.

I think putting the pieces together

and just seeing

how gullible was I?

and I didn't see it.

[Jodi] I was just getting ready to move,

and all of a sudden I end up in prison.

You know, I thought, "What in the world?"

Now, I have been praying for five months,

like, "Explain it to me," like

"Please help me understand."

And then, I connected it to my blessing.

The first paragraph, it says,

"Through the power of your example

and the spoken word,

you will be a great tool

in the hand of the Lord

in teaching the gospel to many."

I probably cried for an hour straight.

Just everything clicked.

And I said, "I'm happy to go to prison."

[Jodi] The blessing's pretty clear,

and it says,

"The strongest message you will ever teach

is the power of your example."

What's a better example than to

go to prison

unjustly?

And then go teach the gospel.

Which I plan on doing.
