When we go to the Maipo Valley,

my friend Rodrigo will introduce us to the local music.

But first we're going to Santiago,

where we'll meet Muffy's friend Carolina.

That reminds me, I need to read her book.

BUSTER: The Darkness of the Ocean, by Carolina Gonzales.

Her class was taking a trip over the Amazon rainforest,

when their plane had to make an emergency landing.

Unfortunately, she had gotten separated from the group.

Now it was up to her to save the dolphins

from the oil spill.

Finally, she found her group.

She told them about the oil spill,

and they called for help.

And the coastline was made into a national preserve,

so that it would never be polluted with oil again.

I can't believe she rescued those dolphins.

Francine was right.

Everyone in Chile is an adventurer.

BUSTER: Is this where we're supposed to meet Carolina?

CARLOS: That's right.

This is Cerro San Cristobal.

At the top, you get a view of the whole city.

Well, because it has really good empanadas.

It also has the biggest one.

I'd have tons to write about:

rodeos, funiculars, mountains, bridges...

BUSTER: Okay.

This is his boat.

BUSTER: Very cool.

But I thought he was afraid of the sea.

who likes to just sit and talk.
