ELINOR: Great playing everyone. The team is really working together!

ARI: We even got past Elinor's famous ear-block.

ELINOR: I just couldn't cross my ears fast enough.

ARI: Next time try the Bat-Bam.

Bat, Bam! It'll stop anything.

Bat Bam! Bat Bam!

ALL: [laughter]

ELINOR: I love all of our special moves.

What's yours, Olive?

OLIVE: My dance when I score!

ELINOR: [giggles] [whistle]

MZ. MOLE: Hustle back, kids!

I have some exciting news! We're getting uniforms for our soccer team.

KIDS: [cheers]

But first, we have to choose the color.

Which color should we get?

ELINOR: Red!

KOA: Obviously orange.

ARI: I love green! Green is the best!

OLIVE: I like blue. It's my favorite color.

ELINOR: Why don't we take a vote, Mz. Mole?

MZ. MOLE: Great idea, Elinor.

MARY/LIZZY: We'll vote first because we're always in sync. One... two... three!

MARY: Purple! LIZZY: Yellow!

MARY/LIZZY: Wait, what?

ALL: [arguing]

[Loud whistle]

MZ. MOLE: Okay! Let's take a little break and think over this tricky choice.

We'll have to figure out a way so that everyone is happy.

Elinor why don't you, Ari and Olive go see Ms. Llama and ask her for some snacks.

Here's the snack list.

ELINOR: No problem, Mz. Mole.

OLIVE: We'll be back in no time!

ARI: I think our uniforms should be green. Green makes sense.

Soccer is played on green grass, so we can blend in.

Then bam, sneak attack!

OLIVE: But blue is the color of the sky.

And the sky is made of air, and air is light and to play soccer,

well, you must be light on your feet.

Okay, I just really like the color blue.

KIDS: [giggles]

[ding]

MS. LLAMA: Oh, hello kids! What can I do for you?

ELINOR: We need some snacks for our soccer team!

OLIVE: Mz. Mole gave us a list.

MS. LLAMA: Oh, a delicious list!

You kids start picking out what you need, and I'll be out in a jiffy,

I'm just in the kitchen working on a snack myself!

Holler if you need anything.

ARI: Thanks Ms. Llama!

ELINOR: Okay first up, grapes.

Got ‘em!

ARI: Got ‘em!

Wait, which color grapes should we get?

OLIVE: The picture on Mz. Mole's list doesn't show a color.

Hmm...

ELINOR: Well, let's save the grapes for last. What's next on the list, Olive?

OLIVE: Looks like a bell pepper.

KIDS: Hmm.

ELINOR: Green.

OLIVE: Yellow.

ARI: Red.

ELINOR: Oh no.

OLIVE: But which should we get?

ARI: Maybe it doesn't matter?

I mean all peppers taste kind of bitter.

OLIVE: Bitter? I think bell peppers taste light and sweet.

ELINOR: But they're all bell peppers, so they can't taste different.

Can they?

Hmm. Let's move on to carrots.

I love carrots because I know exactly what I'm getting,

and what I'm getting are sweet, orange carrots!

ARI: Um, Elinor?

ELINOR: Different... color... carrots?!

[sniffs]

OLIVE: [sniffs]

ARI: [sniffs] Oh, something smells good!

ELINOR: [sniffs] Mmm. It does.

OLIVE: It's coming from Ms. Llama's kitchen.

ELINOR: Maybe she knows more about why veggies are different colors.

ARI: Well, what are we waiting for? Let's follow that smell!

MS. LLAMA: Ha hoo! Yah! [peppers sizzling in pan]

KIDS: Wow! [clapping]

MS. LLAMA: Oh, come on in, kids.

OLIVE: Nice moves, Ms. Llama.

MS. LLAMA: Thanks, Olive. I'm just finishing up my veggies.

ARI: [sniffs] They smell delicious!

MS. LLAMA: They are delicious.

And beautiful! I love their bright colors!

ELINOR: Ms. Llama, what kind of veggies are these?

MS. LLAMA: Peppers!

ELINOR: Mmm! And what else?

MS. LLAMA: Let's see.

Red peppers, green peppers, and yellow peppers.

Only peppers. It's peppers galore, Elinor! [giggles]

OLIVE: Just like at the fruit stand!

But Ms. Llama, why are peppers so many different colors?

MS. LLAMA: Well, good question! What have you noticed so far?

ELINOR: Well, other than their color, they look the same.

They have the same shape and size.

MS. LLAMA: Maybe you need to observe more than just what you see.

ELINOR: Hmm. Can we taste them?

MS. LLAMA: Of course!

ARI: Yep, that's a green pepper. My favorite!

OLIVE: Hmm. It has a bit of a bitter taste.

ELINOR: This one is way less bitter.

ARI: And just a little bit sweet.

ELINOR: Mmm! This one is way sweeter.

OLIVE: Mmm. So sweet.

ARI: So they look different and they taste different.

ELINOR: Maybe what makes them look different is also what makes them taste different.

OLIVE: Yeah! Maybe they're different on the inside.

MS. LLAMA: That's right!

Different color vegetables taste a little different,

because they have different nutrients and vitamins in them.

ELINOR: That is so interesting!

MS. LLAMA: Sometimes the different colors come from how long they've been in the sun,

or how ripe they are.

Red peppers are riper, and sweeter, than green ones.

And sometimes they're just different kinds of the same vegetable or fruit,

like these grapes.

ELINOR: And carrots?

MS. LLAMA: Mm hmm. Each color carrot has a slightly different

taste and slightly different nutrients.

I love cooking with different kinds of fruits and vegetables,

because it makes our food more colorful, tasty and nutritious for our bodies.

ELINOR: It's important to eat lots of different kinds of foods!

MS. LLAMA: You got it!

OLIVE: Wow. They're so pretty.

MS. LLAMA: Say, would you like to help me make a salad?

KIDS: Yeah!

MS. LLAMA: Well okay then, pass those carrots!

ELINOR: On it!

♪ MS. LLAMA: Pass that, add this, time to make a snack. ♪

♪ OLIVE: Grab all the foods that our bodies lack. ♪

♪ ARI: Listen to our song, all you need to know. ♪

♪ ELINOR: Is pick lots of color and eat the rainbow! ♪

♪ KIDS: Different foods are good for you, ♪

♪ Eat your greens, your yellows, and blues. ♪

♪ ARI: Eat this, eat that, it's so nutritious ♪

♪ MS. LLAMA: With more colors, it's more delicious. ♪

MS. LLAMA: Olive? Oil.

OLIVE: Olive Oil! [giggles]

It's beautiful! I love it!

MS. LLAMA: And not only is it beautiful, Olive,

but it's packed with nutrients that keep us healthy and strong.

ARI: Yeah, it looks like all of our favorite colors

are working together to make an awesome rainbow!

ELINOR: That's it. Ari, you figured it out!

ARI: I did?

ELINOR: I think you figured out the perfect color for our team.

Thanks, Ms. Llama!

MS. LLAMA: You're welcome, kids. Have fun!

Oh! Don't forget your vegetables and salad!

OLIVE: Thanks so much Ms. Llama!

ELINOR: Bye!

We figured out veggies have different colors because they have different nutrients.

ARI: And we need different nutrients to be healthy!

OLIVE: So eating veggies and fruits that are lots of different colors is good for us.

ARI: And just like different veggies bring different things to a tasty meal,

we all bring something special to our team.

ELINOR: So, we think the best color for our uniform is...

A rainbow!

ALL: [cheers]

MZ. MOLE: Well class? Which color should we choose?

MARY/LIZZY: Let's vote on three. One... two... three!

KIDS: Rainbow!

MARY/LIZZY: [GASP] I knew we were in sync!

ALL: [laughs]

OLIVE: Ready, everyone?

KIDS: Yeah!

ARI: [grunts]

MARY: [giggles]

LIZZY: [grunts]

KOA: [giggles]

ELINOR: Bunny-Rainbow-Bam!

KIDS: [cheers]

OLIVE: She blocked it! She blocked it!

KIDS: [cheers]

ELINOR: “Olive Gets the Big Picture”

OLIVE: Come on, come on, come on!

[giggles] I'm so excited to meet Ms. Badger.

ARI: [panting] Me too! Wait who is Ms. Badger again?

OLIVE: She's the best Nature Photographer in the whole wide world!

Her pictures are always on the cover of Animal Town's Nature Magazine.

I want to be just like her and take awesome pictures.

[gasp] There's a bird!

Woah! [grunts] [camera clicks]

[giggle] But I'm not very good yet.

ELINOR: Don't you worry Olive, we'll help you take an awesome picture.

ARI: Yeah, because we're awesome friends.

OLIVE: [giggle] Yes, thanks.

[camera clicks]

I wonder where Ms. Badger is?

ARI: She's definitely not here yet, or I would have seen her.

It's just the three of us. [bushes rustle]

[bushes rustle] Yikes! Ahh!

MS. BADGER: Howdy kids!

OLIVE: Ms. Badger!

MS. BADGER: [chuckles] Oh, I bet you're wondering why I'm dressed like a bush?

Well, sometimes I dress up like nature to blend in so I can take better pictures.

Oh, oh, take a look at this picture I took a moment ago.

KIDS: Wow!

OLIVE: Ms. Badger. I want to take amazing pictures of nature just like you.

MS. BADGER: Aw. Thank you, Olive.

Pictures are amazing because they help us look at the world in new ways.

I need a picture for the cover of Animal Town's Nature Magazine.

Maybe you kids can help me take one?

ELINOR: Yeah!

OLIVE: We love helping!

MS. BADGER: Awesome, well then what are we waiting for?

Let's make like a bush and leaf. [chuckles]

KIDS: [cheers]

[seagulls squawk in distance]

MS. BADGER: Welcome to the coast, kids.

Isn't it wonderful? We can take some amazing pictures here.

ELINOR: Awesome!

MS. BADGER: And we can set up camp right here.

ELINOR: Look, there's a moth!

Let's take a picture of it.

ARI: Hurry, before it flies away!

OLIVE: I got it, I got it!

ELINOR: It flew to the next flower over here!

OLIVE: I got it!

Oops! [camera clicks]

I don't got it. Sorry.

MS. BADGER: Whoa. Are you alright, kids?

That was quite the spill.

OLIVE: [sigh] Another picture of my trunk.

Ms. Badger can you show us how to take pictures?

MS. BADGER: Of course! Here, let me give you some tips.

Taking pictures of nature is all about making observations.

ARI: [gasp] We love making observations!

MS. BADGER: Shh!

ARI: Oops, sorry.

MS. BADGER: First you need to be very, very quiet,

so you don't scare whatever you're trying to take a picture of.

Then before you take the picture, make sure you observe it and what's around it.

ELINOR: I see the moth. Its flying from flower to flower.

MS. BADGER: Great observation.

Now what do you think the moth is going to do next?

OLIVE: I bet it will land there next.

[camera clicks]

MS. BADGER: And voila. After some careful observations, a picture of a Moth! Haha!

ARI: Whoa! ELINOR: Look!

I never knew moths had fuzzy little hairs like that.

ARI: Yeah, like a fuzzy-wuzzy teddy bear.

MS. BADGER: [chuckles] See! This is how pictures can help us look at the world in new ways.

They show us details we might not have noticed.

OLIVE: Do you think this picture amazing enough for Animal Town's Nature Magazine?

MS. BADGER: Hmm, not quite. We already have pictures of moths.

But let's keep looking.

Who wants to help me unpack the rest of my camera gear?

ELINOR: I do!

ARI: Yes!

OLIVE: Ms. Badger, is it okay if I practice taking more pictures instead?

MS. BADGER: Ooh, sounds good to me. I can't wait to see what you observe.

OLIVE: Come on Olive, you can do this.

You can take an amazing picture of nature.

[bushes rustle] [gasp] What was that?

[camera clicks]

[gasp]

I think I found something, I think I found something!

I saw an animal run from behind a bush!

I didn't get a good look at it. But I did take a picture.

MS. BADGER: Whoa, super cool Olive. Let's see what you got.

OLIVE: [giggle] Sorry, it's not a great picture.

ELINOR: Wow! It looks like a picture of bird's feet.

They're orange with webbed toes.

ARI: They look like a duck's feet!

MS. BADGER: Oh it's definitely an animal with webbed toes. Nice work Olive.

OLIVE: Thanks.

MS. BADGER: Huh. Maybe Animal Town's Nature Magazine will want a picture of this animal.

KIDS: Yeah!

OLIVE: Here. It ran from this bush.

We have to take an amazing picture of it.

ELINOR: We will, Olive!

[bushes rustling] KIDS: [gasp]

ELINOR: Hmm, nothing's there.

KIDS: [grunts] [camera clicks]

MS. BADGER: Whoa, you kiddos aren't afraid to get dirty. I dig that.

Did you see what it was?

ELINOR: [sigh] A little, but it was very fast.

OLIVE: I took two more pictures of it though!

Aw, it's only part of the animal.

ARI: Hey! I know what this is! It's a penguin!

It has to be! A penguin has black and white feathers,

with orange webbed toes and an orange beak.

They walk around like this! Quack! Quack!

KIDS: [laugh]

OLIVE: Hmm. Let's find penguins in my nature book.

Huh?

ARI: See! It has to be a penguin.

ELINOR: It does seem to be the same black and white feathers, and the same orange feet.

OLIVE: It says that penguins are birds that live in far away places near the south pole.

ELINOR: Hmm... But we're not near the south pole.

ARI: So how can it be a penguin?

MS. BADGER: What about your other picture, Olive? How'd that one turn out?

ELINOR: It's a picture of feathery wings. The animal has feathery wings!

ARI: Wait, maybe it's not a penguin. Penguins don't have feathery wings like that.

OLIVE: Yeah, penguins' wings are thin and they don't have big feathers.

ELINOR: Hmm...

OLIVE: [sigh] I wish I had taken a picture of the whole animal.

MS. BADGER: Remember a picture can help us look at the world in new ways!

What do you see Olive?

OLIVE: [gasps] What if we look at the pictures together?

ARI: Huh?

ELINOR: That's it!

ARI: Whoa!

ELINOR: That's so interesting!

OLIVE: Look!

You can see that our mystery animal kind of looks like a penguin.

But a penguin's shape is longer than the animal in our picture.

ELINOR: Yeah, and the animal in our picture has a different shaped beak.

And it's more orange.

ARI: So now we know the animal in the picture isn't a penguin, but then what is it?

MS. BADGER: I say we check Olive's Nature Book.

OLIVE: [gasps] Here it is! It's a puffin!

MS. BADGER: Yup, nice work kids. I think it is a puffin!

OLIVE: Puffins are birds similar to penguins,

but they can also do all sorts of amazing things!

They can swim and fly.

They can carry more than ten fish in their beaks,

and their beaks turn a bright orange in the spring time!

MS. BADGER: Yeah, puffins are very special birds.

I was hoping we'd see a few here on the coast.

ELINOR: Ms. Badger, if we get a picture of a puffin,

will it be amazing enough for Animal Town's Nature Magazine?

MS. BADGER: Oh yeah, without a doubt.

OLIVE: [gasps] Let's go find that puffin!

ARI: Look! I see the puffin!

ELINOR: It went in and out of its burrow.

MS. BADGER: You know Olive, why don't you take the photo?

ELINOR: Yeah, Olive!

ARI: You can do it!

OLIVE: Okay, I'll give it a try.

MS. BADGER: Okay, just remember, be very quiet.

Now, what can we observe?

ELINOR: The puffin keeps leaving its burrow and then coming back.

OLIVE: Okay, so let's sit by the burrow and wait.

ARI: There it is!

OLIVE: Wait for it.

Wait for it.

[camera clicks]

ARI: Hi!

ELINOR: Hey, Ms. Badger!

OLIVE: Out taking more pictures?

MS. BADGER: Howdy kids! I have a special surprise for you.
