MAUDE: Your collection has really grown, hasn't it?

CARL: Yeah. I guess...

CARL: My plushie collection is everywhere ! I can't even get

CARL: to some of my other collections!

MAUDE: So... Do you think you might want to do something

MAUDE: about it?

CARL: I don't know. But, I would like to reach my other

CARL: collections without having to move so many

CARL: plushies.

MAUDE: Well, you could organize your plushies. You

MAUDE: know, come up with a system, so they can all be

MAUDE: neatly put away. That could really help.

CARL: Yes, I can do that.

CARL: Maybe I can put them on the bottom shelf?

MAUDE: Sure, some could be kept in your room. But, you do

MAUDE: have a lot! Maybe others can go into...the

MAUDE: basement?

PLUSHIES: No, Carl! Don't leave us here!

CARL: I...don't like the basement!

CARL: Hmmmmm...

MAUDE: Carl, remember when we went to the museum?

CARL: Yes, I do.

MAUDE: Did you know that not all their collections are put

MAUDE: out for us to look at? Some are put away safely in

MAUDE: storage until it's their turn to be on display.

CARL: I do remember seeing them taking stuff down and

CARL: putting up new stuff!

MAUDE: That's right!

MAUDE: And... sometimes museums give their collections

MAUDE: away...

CARL: Away?! You mean away away?!

MAUDE: Now, I know it's hard, but I want you to at least

MAUDE: think about maybe parting with just some of the

MAUDE: plushies you don't play with.

CARL: No way!

MAUDE: Not all of them -- which ones are completely up to you.

CARL: how to do that, OR whee to put them all, and they are

CARL: collection? I kind of don't know what to do about

CARL: Awww, this didn't work either. Although, it was an

MAUDE: I've watched you guys try to organize the plushies

MAUDE: all day! But you know, organization can be a little

MAUDE: tricky. You think you need some help?

CARL: This one doesn't have a name, which means I never

MAUDE: Exactly! Just like how I have a scrapbook of photos

MAUDE: of all the pottery I've sold.

CARL: Can I put this in a scrapbook?

MAUDE: Of course, you can! Let me go get one.

CARL: I think I've figured out how to organize my plushies.

CARL: If it has a name or story, it stays, and if it

CARL: doesn't, I can give it away but I'll need a

CARL: photo first.

CARL: Now, this one was my dad's when he was little. His

CARL: name is Diggie. Very special to me!

CARL: And...these two are his friends! They call themselves

CARL: the Junkyard Dogs! These guys will stay.

SHELDON: Oh, who's this guy?

CARL: I had a panda collection for a while. Buuut...I don't

CARL: really play with them anymore.

FORREST: You know who likes pandas? Lotta!

MAUDE: Here's a scrapbook, Carl!

CARL: Thanks, Mama.

CARL: I think I know what to do with my plushie collection!

SHELDON: What?

CARL: I'll have my friends come over! Any plushies I

CARL: don't play with, they could take home! I'll take a

CARL: picture of each plushie I give away to remember it and

CARL: keep it in my scrapbook!

FORREST: Yeah, and if you ever want to visit an old toy, like

CARL: Wow, I didn't play much with these either!

SHELDON: Can I have the shark, Carl?

CARL: Sure!

FORREST: Can I have the pink poodle? It's my favorite

FORREST: color!

MAUDE: How '‘bout these?

CARL: The horse is from my favorite movie, Racer ,

CARL: but I never played with, or named, the teddy.

CARL: I can see my own bed AND the floor! All my plushies

CARL: We saw a lot of pigeons in the park, we made a

CARL: big train track with a tunnel AND a bridge that went

CARL: all the way from my room to Dad's room and...Dad gave
