- Alright!

[beep]

[elevator whirring]

[gentle music]

[sighing]

This elevator is so slow.

[gasping]

Oh, I bet I can make it down the hall and back

before it gets here.

[upbeat music]

Yes!

Racer Rae beats the elevator again.

And the crowd goes wild.

[ding]

Yes! Oh, wait. [groaning]

- There you are.

I thought you said you were coming right up.

- Yeah, what happened?

- I missed the elevator.

- Were you doing a hallway lap again?

- Yes, but I beat the elevator this time.

Only my celebration got me a little... distracted.

- Now that you're here, we can play Skillsville!

- Let's do it!

[all]: Launch Skillsville.

[upbeat music]

- Racer Rae!

- Whoo!

- Devosaurus!

[growling]

ParCora!

[grunting]

Welcome to Skillsville!

- Woof-hoo! You're here, you're here, you're here.

What are we playing today?

- Something fast. I have a need for speed.

- Fast? Oh, I know the perfect job for you.

- To the telepuddle. - Race, y'all.

- Hey! Not fair.

[grunting]

- Welcome to the Triple Thrill Speedway!

We've got two drivers ready to race.

But the Beeples need one more driver.

- Seriously?

I've always wanted to be a race car driver.

- You've totally got the skills to get this job done.

- Yeah, you're perfect for this.

- Excellent. Then you're gonna need this.

[gasping]

- Wow. It's even my favourite colour.

- We can be her pit crew!

We'll make sure her car is ready to race.

[engine revving]

- Sweet ride.

- Nice!

- I cannot wait to get out there on the race track.

- And you won't be alone.

I'll be in your ear every step of the way.

- Looks like your car is good to go.

- Racers to the starting line!

- Let's ride! - Good luck.

See ya from way up here.

[triumphant music]

It's a beautiful day here at the Triple Thrill Speedway.

Our three racers are about to compete in three races.

- Race Car Driver Challenge:

Be the first to cross the finish line.

Drivers, start your engines!

[engines rumbling]

[upbeat music]

- You got this, Rae.

- This is gonna be great!

- Three, two, one. Go!

- And they're off to a great start!

Racer Rae has the early lead.

[tires screeching]

- Those other cars are way behind me already.

[tires screeching]

Ooh! Moo-lahs.

[beeping]

- Keep an eye out for speed boosters on the track.

- Huh? Um, missed em.

[ding]

- Oh, the Beeples hit the speed boosters,

and now they're catching up.

- Oh-oh, they're right behind me.

- And here comes a sharp turn.

- Ah! Oh, no! A curve. But I'm going too fast.

[tires screeching] Oh!

[engines revving]

- Rae! Are you okay?

- Yeah, but now I'm totally behind in the race,

and nothing is going the way I thought it would.

I need to pause! [ding]

- Whoa!

- What happened, Rae?

- I was distracted by the other cars.

I didn't see the turn coming, and I went into it way too fast.

- Aren't you trying to go fast?

- Yeah, but on the turns, you have to slow down

so you don't spin out. Like I did.

I should've stayed focused on the track.

- Maybe there's a strategy that can help you pay attention

to what you're doing.

- That's a great idea!

Hey, maybe I could just repeat that to myself.

Pay attention to what you're doing.

Pay attention to what you're doing.

That should help me stay focused.

- Now we're talking.

- I know what to do now and I'm ready to race.

Un-pause.

- Whoa! Ha!

[revving resumes]

- I gotta catch up. [engine revving]

- And Racer Rae is back in the race.

- Where are those other cars? Oh, wait, that's not important.

Pay attention to what you're doing.

Here comes a turn. Slow down, keep control.

- Nice job, Rae.

[engine revving]

- Go get 'em!

- Here they come, down the final stretch.

Who's gonna be first? Who is it gonna be?

Is it blue? Is it green? Is it...

Oh! It's blue for the win!

[triumphant music]

- First place: Blue. Second place: Green.

Third place: Purple.

- Ah... Last place?

- But you stayed focus on the road this time.

And you didn't spin out.

- And there are three races

so you have two more chances.

- Yeah! You get to try again.

- Alright! I'll try again.

- Now let's get this car ready for the next race.

Pit crew, assemble!

- Whoa!

[upbeat music]

[charging]

[drilling] - Tires, check!

- Fuelled up.

- I'll squeegee the windshield.

- Get ready for Race number tw!

- Gotta go, Scout.

- Almost...

- Drivers, to the starting lin.

- Scout!

- Woof! Cleanest windshield around.

- Thanks, everyone.

- Race on, Racer Rae. - Go get 'em!

- Racer number two!

Who will cross the finish line first this time?

- And the cars are lined up.

- Ready, Rae?

- I was born ready.

- Three, two, one, go!

- And they're off!

[tires screeching] - Yeah!

Those moo-lahs are mine.

[dinging]

- Rae, you missed the speed boosters again.

- Ah, I got distracted by the moo-lahs.

Pay attention to what you're doing.

Oh, there's a turn. Slow down, stay in control.

[ParCora]: Nice and easy.

Now go, Rae, go!

[engine revving]

[Cora, Dev]: Woo-hoo!

- It's green, then purple, oh! Who's gonna take first?

Green wins it!

- First place: Green!

Second place: Purple!

Third place: Blue.

[tires screeching]

- You were so close that time.

- I know! There's just one race left,

I know I can finish first if I just stay focused.

- We'll get your car ready.

[upbeat music]

[drilling]

- Time for race number three.

- Wait, first I have to squeegee!

- Gotta go! - Got it.

No squeegee, good luck.

- Drivers, to the starting lin.

Race number three!

Increased difficulty.

[tense music]

- Oh-oh! Sounds like this race is gonna be harder.

- You can do it, Rae.

- I'll just use my strategy and tell myself,

"Pay attention to what you're doing."

- Three, two, one. Go!

- There they go!

One final time.

They're approaching the swinging arm obstacle.

- Pay attention to what you're doing, better slow down

to get around that obstacle.

[engine revving]

- Nice! - Good work, Rae.

- Blue is in the lead and here comes purple and green!

- Wow! That car's so fast.

No, Rae, pay attention to what you're doing. Speed boosters.

Not gonna miss them this time.

- Go, go, go!

- See ya, Beeples.

- Purple's in the lead,

they're heading for the mud puddle obstacle.

Ooh, this could get messy.

[engine revving]

- Ah! I can barely see through my windshield.

- Squeegee to the rescue!

[squeegee wincing]

- Thanks, Scout. - Go, go, go!

- Ah, I'm behind. I'm never gonna make it.

Ah, Rae, pay attention to what you're doing.

[triumphant music]

[engine revving]

- Go, Rae, go!

- Is that double speed boosters?

They didn't see them.

Here's my chance!

[ding] Whoo!

[Scout]: Purple car takes the lead.

Racer Rae wins the race! Woo-hoo!

- First place: Purple.

Second place: Blue!

Third place: Green!

- Yes! - Epic.

- Yeah! - Ha-ha!

[Scout barking]

- Race Car Driver Challenge: Complete!

- Best. Race. Ever!

- See ya next time, Scout.

- Later, Gamers.

- So, same time tomorrow?

- You know it.

- See ya, Cora.

[rhythmic music]

- The elevator's all the way down on the first floor.

- Wanna race? - A hallway lap?

Yeah!

- But this time I'm gonna stay focused

so we don't miss the elevator.

On your mark, get set, go!

[rhythmic music]

- I'm right behind you!

[panting]

- Pay attention to what you're doing.

[♪♪]

- I win! - Oh, man!

I didn't have a chance.

- That's why they call me Racer Rae!

[laughing]

- Don't grab it yet. - Go left.

- I'm gonna get it this time.

I can just feel it!

Mega T-Rex trading cards, you are mine!

[machine whirring]

- Ooh. - So close!

- I dropped the claw too soon again.

I just get so excited and then I start rushing and...

- And-- - You know,

you could just save up your money

and buy those trading cards.

- Well, sure, but that's not as much fun.

Okay, I've got one token left.

So I've got to get it this time.

- Too bad there isn't a way to get some practise first.

- Hey, maybe there is.

I wonder if there's a crane in Skillsville.

- That would be a great way to practise!

Let's go play.

- Wait for me.

[upbeat music]

[all]: Launch Skillsville!

- Devosaurus!

[grunting]

ParCora!

[grunting]

Racer Rae!

- Whoo!

[♪♪]

- Welcome to Skillsville!

- Scout! - Hi, hey, hello!

Hiya, Gamers.

Thought I'd drop in.

What job do you wanna play today?

- One where I get to use a crane.

With a claw! You know like... [imitates whirring]

- Ooh, great idea. Let's do it!

And I've got just the crane on my brain!

To the telepuddle! [grunting]

[grunting]

- What is this place?

- It's the Bunch a Stuff Warehouse.

It holds a bunch of stuff

till it's ready to be sent out to stores.

[beeping] [struggling]

As you can see, some of this stuff is heavy to lift.

That's why the Beeples need someone to operate that.

[ding]

- Whoa! A crane! A massive crane!

- Yup! The warehouse crane.

So, Dev, think you got the skills to get the job done?

- I hope so. That's why I'm here.

To practice!

- Then you're gonna need... this!

- Whoa!

- Crane Operator Challenge: Move the big crate

on to the truck.

- How do I work the crane?

[beeping]

[triumphant beeping]

A remote?

Whoa! Let's see how this crane can move.

Forward, back. Left, right.

This works just like the toy crane game.

- Handle carefully.

- No problem!

Carefully is my middle name.

- What an interesting name.

[laughing]

- He just means he'll be careful.

And we will, too.

- Before Dev lifts the big crate,

we can help the Beeples unload the truck.

[grunting]

[beeping]

On it!

[upbeat music]

[dinging]

[cheering]

- Oh, you're really getting the hangof that hanging crane.

- Look how fast I can move it.

Nyoooow!

- Crane Operator, get lifting.

- Oh, right. I gotta lift that crate.

- Oh, here it goes.

And... it's grabbing time!

[error notification] - Ooh.

Missed.

- I'm just getting warmed up.

[crane whirring]

- You're moving pretty fast there, Dev.

- That's cause this is so much fun.

[descending music]

- Ah, strike two!

- Okay, I'll get it next time.

[beeping]

- Hey, Dev. There are musical instruments in that crate.

- Just be careful.

- Careful is his middle name.

Or was it "Carefully"?

[playful music]

- I notice when you go too fast,

it makes the claw swing a lot.

So maybe slow down a bit.

- Don't worry, I've got this!

- Swing and a miss.

And a swing. [drum resonates]

- Look out!

[grunting] - Whoa!

[Scout shouting]

[beeping nervously]

[cymbals ringing]

[cymbals crashing]

Whoa, whoa! Whoo!

[laughing]

- This is why I'm saying maybe slow down a bit.

- 'Kay, I'll try again.

The claw is still swinging.

- Ha... But it takes so long to stop swinging.

- Don't worry, Dev!

I'll stop it!

[upbeat music]

Ah! Whoa!

Ah, somebody's gotta stop me!

- Ah, everything's out of control.

I need to pause.

- Whoa! [beeping stops]

- Being a crane operator is a lot harder than I thought.

- You do kind of keep dropping the claw

before it stops swinging.

- I know, but when I get too excited,

it's hard for me to wait.

- So, maybe there's a strategy that can help you feel calm.

- I know one!

You could try breathing.

- Breathing?

But I'm always breathing.

- I mean, deep breathing.

My dad taught me.

When I feel myself getting too excited,

I stop what I'm doing and I take a deep breath in...

[inhaling deeply]

And then out. [exhaling]

I do that until I feel calm.

- I'll give it a try.

[inhaling deeply]

[exhaling]

[inhaling deeply]

[exhaling]

- How do you feel?

- I'm starting to feel calmer.

That really helps.

- Are you feeling calm enough to play again?

- Yeah. I'm ready.

Un-pause.

- Ah! I can't stop the swinging.

Help me-- Oh.

It stopped. Ha!

[cymbals crashing] - Oh, watch your paws.

[box thumping]

- Okay. Everything's back in the crate.

It's ready to go.

[beeping cheerfully]

- Stand clear. I'm gonna try again.

But this time...

[inhaling deeply]

[exhaling]

I'm calm and I'm gonna go slow and steady.

Now, here we go.

[crane whirring]

[ding]

- Yeah! - You got it!

- I did it. This is so cool!

Now I just have to put it on the truck.

Full speed ahead!

[beeping nervously]

Oh-oh! It's swinging too much.

[beeping nervously]

Oops, too fast.

I got excited again.

[inhaling deeply]

[exhaling deeply]

Okay.

Feeling calmer now.

- And look, the crane stopped swinging.

[beep]

[crane whirring]

- Level complete!

Crate job!

[cheering]

- We knew you could do it.

[beeping]

- Crane Operator Challenge Level Two:

Lift the duck, put it on the truck.

- The "duck"?

[beeping]

[all]: Oh!

- Well, now that you know what you're doing,

this should be... easy?

- But the crate was just one thing to lift

with nothing around it.

That duck has lots of stuff around it.

- It's like the toy crane game, Dev.

You' gotta just get the one thing you really want.

- Right.

Keep your eyes on the prize.

- Okay, everybody. Stand back.

I'm gonna take it slow and steady.

Eyes on the prize.

Here we go.

[crane whirring]

[error notification]

- Missed.

- Ah! That's not what I wanted.

- Try again.

Don't quack under pressure.

- You can do it, Dev.

Gotta get that duck.

[crane whirring] [error notification]

- Strike two.

[groaning] - I got the wrong thing again!

- You sound frustrated.

- Yeah, and it's hard to do this when I'm so frustrated.

I've gotta feel calm.

- What about your strategy?

- Oh, right. I can breathe deep.

[inhaling deeply]

[exhaling]

[inhaling deeply]

[exhaling deeply]

That's better.

Okay, I'm feeling calmer.

- Good. Now maybe we can figure out what went wrong.

- I was doing what you said,

I kept my eyes on the prize.

I was looking right at the duck the whole time.

- But maybe you have to look at the duck

and at where the claw is.

- Oh! Right.

Gotta make sure they're lined up.

Ah, how could I forget that. So frustrating.

[gasping] Wait.

I need to feel calm again.

[inhaling deeply]

[exhaling]

Alright.

Now I'm ready to try again.

[crane whirring]

Looks like it's lined up.

[duck squeaking]

[cheering] - Now put that duck

on the truck!

[crane whirring _

[ding]

- Job complete.

What an uplifting challenge!

[cheering]

- Oh, you handled that crane like a pro!

So, you wanna play again?

- Maybe next time.

Right now, I have some trading cards to win.

- Exciting. Okay, good luck.

Later, Gamers.

- Bye, Scout. - See you, Scout.

- Thanks for bringing us back to the store, Nani.

- Happy to.

- Okay.

This time those Mega T-Rex Trading cards are mine!

- Got your last game token?

- Check!

And my new game strategy.

[inhaling deeply]

[exhaling]

[rhythmic music]

I'm gonna take it slow and steady.

And keep my eyes on the prize and on the claw.

A little bit this way...

Um, back a little more.

Okay...

Here we go.

[beep] [claw whirring]

- I did it! - Oh, yeah!

Epic grab.

- Awww, I already have this one.

[♪♪]
