The beauty industry in LA
is very competitive, and it's
hard to work in a nice salon.

you do have to prove yourself,
and you do kind of have
to pay your dues all over again.
And sometimes, funny enough,
like, I'll actually get in
the shower with them and, like,
help them shampoo their hair.

That's not something
I advertise, but, like,
if they need help
with something, yeah.

for their anniversary,
and that's

So this party is to celebrate
the wedding
anniversary of Ted and me.

something just like they did.

of our closest friends
at the Albright Fashion Library,
which has this amazing terrace
overlooking all of Los Angeles.

and they said yes!

see my friends
being treated like royalty.

I've been sober a long time,
but before I was sober,
I did a lot of drugs.

It was the '90s,
we had a really good time,
and we didn't hear that we were
supposed to come down

My parents couldn't see to come.
because they didn't
understand the fact that,
you know, their only son
was getting married to a man.
And that was really hurtful.
But at the same time, you know,
we have been so blessed to
be able to create really
amazing people in our life.

celebrate with us, because
there's nothing greater than
people that you love
and people that you really
cherish and people
that you have the opportunity
to have really
strong connections to.
And I'm just really,
really grateful for you,
that you came tonight.
