what is wind anyway an excellent

question let's have a look in the

multipedia

wind is moving air we can't really see

it but we can see what it does like when

it makes the trees move or when it picks

up dust and leaves like breezy did

the wind is there but we just don't know

it's there until we feel it or until we

see it move something like those flags

but what are those other things

ah they're called wind socks and weather

veins they show us which way the wind is

blowing

wind can be helpful or harmful it can

blow the seeds of plants to new places

to help grow new plants

the wind can also become harmful like

when it becomes so strong that it's a

tornado or a hurricane

why are some winds like card games that

blow really hard and others just little

breezes

well it's all a matter of the wind speed

gentle breezes blow slowly while strong

winds like hurricanes blow super fast

there's a lot to discover about wind and

we can discover even more by building

our own wind indicator a tool to show

how strong the wind is

we need a yardstick

something to hold it in place

some objects that are light

and some that are heavier

now we'll tie the heavy objects at the

bottom and the light objects at the top

the stronger the wind the more objects

on the wind indicator will blow

that's the best i can do
