space it's one big neighborhood neighbor

but some neighbors aren't so neighborly

take that fourth planet from the Sun

Mars he's a little touchy about why some

folks would rather spend time on earth

Oh like liquid water is such a big deal

I've got the biggest volcano in the

solar system dry for the rules and mores

you won't find plants swimming pools or

even zoo Lane iam on Mars yes uranium

the most powerful spaceship fuel known

to the lands there it is the richest

deposit of selenium in the universe when

I fill up my spaceship with selenium

fuel I'll have the most powerful ship in

the galaxy and no one can stop me not

even the sula Patrol

[Music]

just one teensy problem doc it's under

Zulu Patrol headquarters somehow I've

got to get the Zulu patrol away from

their track see I'm going to need

silverstar there

oh boy what a week

the only time we weren't working was

when we were sleeping and even then I

dreamed of work gram gram

[Music]

congratulations ooh the Patrol PRI grand

prize winners

I don't remember entering the contest we

must have we won you what a one-week

all-expense-paid vacation to everyone's

favorite paradise lovely where you'll

enjoy fun of the Sun while you play on

our sandy beaches there's three movies

every night and it's all yours but to

receive this fabulous prize you must

pack

they took the bait now divide them a

place to stay

booked the entire earth can't be booked

I just need one hotel a log cabin how

about a tepee that's what happens when

you make an evil plan at the last minute

boiled unless I get them to go to Mars

instead why don't you kiddin vacation on

Mars I mean beautiful planet with

beaches paradise but Mars is a cold dry

orange desert with not even one decent

mall true but what if I get the Zuma

Patrol to think Mars is all I need is

this Renta cloud to block their view of

the real birth but it's in the right

place it's the third from the Sun

Mercury Venus some big cloud then Walt

oh is that Earth or isn't it well it's a

little more orange than I remember maybe

it's having a dry spell let's check the

multiple yeah man it when we count out

from the Sun while Mars is the fourth

planet plus if we count the planets well

then that's

there must be earth

[Music]

welcome to spa royale where vacation

dreams come true and our Comfort dome

guarantees that the weather is always

this way to help you begin your vacation

[Music]

sorry the bottled water in the fake

Hotel fooled them and this dome will

make sure the water doesn't dry out now

to check on the selenium my automatic

zoom lady a pump is already hard at work

I just need to keep those patrollers

busy until I have it all

Oh Oh your majesty

somebody wants that pillow flap I see

you've noticed our plastic meadow tree

yes Peter relax we're on vacation

I tell you something's not right about

this place

I must admit Earth does seem a little

different on this trip more like Sailor

Mars

perhaps I should research it fortunately

I brought along some light reading sure

is hard work where you going you said a

plastic leaf palmetto tree grows all

over earth i thought we'd see what other

species are here a nature hike sounds

good to me

our hotel wildlife expert is at your

service gasps Bob these are some of the

most unusual rock formations I've ever

seen on earth those are the statues this

one is called a sock puppet in booty

but why if everything orange it's that

time of year

dear mites thirsty too much cedar will

you please just try to enjoy yourself

[Music]

according to my thermometer that dust

storm was 70 degrees below zero there's

only one place I can think of with

orange dust storms that are that cold

and that's the planet Wow would you look

at the time we've got to get back it's

yoga night it's Mars the fourth planet

from the Sun I got to see what's going

on

[Music]

you'll decide the plan appear on the

Clairol trip

[Music]

one two three planets before this one

then we're on the fourth planet from the

Sun which is Mars

[Applause]

[Music]

Zita was right we've been tricked

where's our waiter

for my pony vacations this second-rate

pilot I got all the zoo Lanie of I need

now I have the most powerful ship in the

universe this is a job for the Zulu

Patrol

[Music]

[Music]

with this Delaney empower there's no way

we can catch him maybe we don't have to

catch him turn on the outside speakers

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

Mars him so far into deep space he'll

need all that selenium just to get back

good investigating cedar you figured out

we weren't on earth even though it

looked like we were I guess we have to

look around ask questions and explore

things to figure out what's really going

on but the truth and so the Zula patrol

trials proving you can fool some of the

zoo lands all the time and all of the

zoo layin sparked on and part of the zoo

lands at halftime no wait you can fool

half of a zoo Lane at lunchtime Oliver

wait earth alright everyone it's time

for our multo moment mars has the crated

orangey-red surface covered with lots of

stands and rocks

there isn't any liquid water on Mars but

Mars does have frozen water the air on

Mars is too thin for Earthlings to

breathe so they'll have to wear

spacesuits when they go there and dust

storms on Mars can be as cold as 70

degrees below zero now that's what I

call Miffy

[Music]

[Music]

Space, the realm of extraordinary

wonders, astonishing spectacles, and

cosmic volleyball. All right, sports

fans. Today's game is between the four

rocky planets, otherwise known as Team

Terrestrial, and the Jovians, those gas

giants, the planets made mostly of

liquid and gas. There's Mercury with the

serve, and the game is underway. Uranus

passes to Neptune. It's Saturn up for

the spike. The Jovians score. The crowd

goes wild.

Oh, this is so exciting. I just love

sports. Sharon, you suppose they'd let

me play again? I mean, after what

happened last time?

It wasn't your fault, Mr. Pluto. Anyone

could confuse planet Mercury for the

bowl?

Oh, who am I kidding? They'll never let

me play. They don't even think I'm a

planet.

Well, of course you're a planet, Mr.

Pluto. You're a dwarf planet and

different. The terrestrial or rocky

planets are made of rock and metal. The

Jovian or gas giant planets are mostly

liquid and gas, but you're solid ice and

rock. You're special.

Thanks, Shaun. You're the best moon I

ever had.

I'm the only moon you've ever had.

[Music]

Hey, Pluto. A little help.

You want me to get the ball?

Burr, you're freezing. I'm out of here.

Way to go, Pluto. That was our only ball

left. But what can you expect from such

a little dwarf of a planet?

Yeah. Why don't you go back to the cold

outer part of the solar system where you

belong? But but I miss Oh, I Yeah. Okay.

Come on, Mr. Pluto. You've got to snap

out of it. You can't let those bully

planets get you down.

They don't like me, Shaun. They've never

liked me.

Oh, that's not true. You'll feel better

once you start traveling around the sun

again.

You mean orbiting?

What's the point? I feel like I'm just

going round in circles.

What do you mean? You've got to orbit.

If you don't orbit the sun, then neither

do I.

Sorry, Sharon. My orbiting days are

over.

But Mr. Pluto.

Hello, Zula Patrol.

[Laughter]

[Music]

I'm setting the automatic pilot.

Great. Autopilot engaged. Destination

Pluto.

It'll take a while to get there.

Great. That'll give us time to find out

more about Pluto. So, everybody enter

the Multipedia.

[Music]

In the solar system, all planets orbit

or travel around the sun. Some planets

are ba*ls of metal and rock.

Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. Other

planets like Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus,

and Neptune are ba*ls of mostly liquid

and gas. But little Pluto is the only

one made up of ice and some rock. It's

part of the Kiper belt, a ring of small

icy objects known as ice dwarfs. In

fact, scientists debate whether or not

Pluto really is a planet.

My dear madam, of course, Pluto is a

planet. It orbits the sun and it's round

like a planet and we've always called it

a planet.

But no, then we have always been wrong.

Pluto is too small for a planet too far

away. It's made of different stuff and

its orbit is shaped differently than the

other planets. It is an ice dwarf.

Planet.

Ice dwarf.

Planet.

Ice dwarf.

Doesn't anyone know for sure, Moto?

There are good reasons for both points

of view, Wizzy. Just think of it as two

different ways to look at Pluto. Many

scientists now consider Pluto to be a

dwarf planet.

Planet or not, we'll be there soon.

When we get there, I'm going to ask

Pluto himself what he is.

Planet ice dwarf. Who cares? Nobody

likes me. I'm never going to orbit

again, and nobody can make me.

Thanks for coming. He sounds much better

already.

Well, we can't have him refusing to

travel around the sun. It breaks all the

known laws of physics.

What he needs is a good pep talk, and

we're just the team to give it to him. I

told you I don't want to.

Come on, you can do it. My name is

Pluto.

Okay. Okay. My name is Pluto and I'm the

greatest dwarf planet.

Now say it like you mean it.

My name is Pluto and I'm the greatest

dwarf planet.

What? I can't hear you.

My name is Pluto and I'm the greatest

dwarf planet.

It's great to orbit Pluto while going

around the sun. And even though you're

ice and rock, you're really lots of fun.

So let them call you ice dwarf or let

them call you planet. Who cares if your

name's Matroid or if your name is Janet?

We'll still be Shaun and Pluto and orbit

just we two and I will go where you go.

We're best friends forever, me and you.

Wow, for an ice ball. I'm pretty hot

stuff.

So, show us the proud new you and get

back in orbit.

Sure. But first, I want to tell the

other planets something.

Oh, it's great to orbit me while going

around the sun.

Are you Jupiter? Wakey wakey wakey.

Oh, it's you. What do you want?

I've just come to say, let's let bygones

be bygones. There's no reason we can't

all be friends. I mean, after all, we're

all planets, right?

Planet. Get real, Snune. I've got moons

bigger than you. Now, run along.

[Music]

Well, I guess we can put away the pom

poms.

I told you it was no use. Now, will you

please leave me alone?

Oh my. Will nothing snap poor Pluto out

of his bad mood?

Wizzy and I have an idea. We think we

should build an amusement park on Pluto.

We could make the solar system's biggest

bob sled run. It would attract visitors,

lots of them. All the attention should

really make Pluto feel good.

Mr. Pluto did tell me he always wanted

to be a vacation hot spot. Well, in his

case, a cold spot.

Well, if it's been a dream of his, maybe

this will work.

Good job, Zula Patrol. A bobsled run

around the entire planet. It shows what

you can accomplish with teamwork.

Now comes the fun part. Before any

visitors can ride a bob sled, we have to

test it.

[Music]

That's so funny. I

I don't know. Something's tickling my

middle.

[Music]

[Music]

If two little sleds make Pluto ticklish,

he'll never be able to handle lots of

visitors. Anybody have any other ideas?

Don't worry, Mr. Pluto. I'm sure the

Zula Patrol is coming up with another

brilliant idea right now.

Oh, what's the point? It'll only turn

out Hey, what's that?

What? I don't see anything.

That bright thing way out there.

Help. I'm new to all this. I don't know

how to stop.

Oh no. There's an out of control comet

coming this way. This can't be good. No,

no, no. I better tell the Zula patrol.

Good thing Pluto warned us. It looks

like that comet is going to crash into

Mars.

A crash like that could be bad news for

both Mars and the comet. Looks like

we'll have to get on its tail and nudge

it out of the way. This is a job for the

Zula Patrol. Help.

Zula patrol, engage traction beams.

[Music]

I can't look. Oh, the comet's too strong

for them.

Help.

[Music]

Thanks for the lift. See you next time

around.

Your warning prevented a possible

disaster. Pluto, you're a hero.

Oh, no big deal. The good part about

being far from the sun is that I've got

the best view of the big wide universe.

Don't be so modest. You saved me. I'll

always be thankful. Since you live way

out there, we're hoping you'll serve as

the solar systems look out from now once

you start orbiting the sun again. Of

course.

No. What can I say? Except sure. I'd

love to.

Let's hear it for Pluto, everyone.

Hip hip hooray. Hip hip hooray. Hip hip

hooray. And so until the next exciting

adventure of the Zulo Patrol, remember

there are still plenty of season tickets

available for Cosmic Volleyball.

[Music]

And now it's time for our maltto moment.

Wasn't that a far out adventure?

Get it? Far out.

Can you tell us what Pluto is made of?

Toothpicks and feathers,

muscles, and salt.

Oh, dear me. know. Do you know?

Right. I send some rock. And what else

do we know about Pluto? My dear Madam,

of course, Pluto is a planet. It orbits

the sun and it's round like a planet,

and we've always called it a planet.

But no, then we have always been wrong.

Pluto is too small for a planet too far

away. It's made of different stuff, and

its orbit is shaped differently than the

other planets. So, which one's right?

Many scientists now think Pluto is a

dwarf planet. Some scientists disagree.

Good,

because we disagree all the time.

I agree with that. Oh my
