on the most exciting day of the year

and Matthew is fast asleep bless his

little cotton socks

I'm not asleep at all

and another thing my socks aren't cotton

the wall sorry it's all right I haven't

been able to get to sleep at all because

I'm so excited you see

it's Christmas

so excited I keep thinking about the

tree that we put up last night well

decorations all the presents do you want

to see it all

see what I mean isn't this a beautiful

Christmas tree and all the presents

underneath oh but that's not all there's

one more present the one from

sweep and Sue to me they've hidden it

behind the sofa but I know where it is

let's go and have a look at it

so exciting it's really heavy and really

big look at that to Matthew I wonder

what it is it's a surprise Merry

Christmas

such a sweep and sue you three well that

is a surprise do you know something this

is the nicest Christmas present I've

ever received

can we go to the theater now oh yes

we're going to see the Bernie Clifton

Christmas show later on no it's far too

early to go now sweet oh

our Christmas party now Matthew it's too

suppose that I've opened one so it's

this is gonna turn out to be one of the

best Christmases ever

one right all we have to do is to roll

I got a very special Christmas present

and I bought him along with me today him

call him Oscar with a robot yes but he's

also a very very clever robot and we'll

he's going to see if he can run along

there and if he thinks he can find your

card he should be able to to stop

somehow let's have a look he's getting

very excited I think you've just knocked

it never mind he doesn't want any of

those

um he's doing well still ah hang on oh

must say you've cheered us all up

enormously great really amazing I'll

won't be happy this Christmas but

everybody should be happy at Christmas

of course they should

see he says all the boys and girls who

are going to spend Christmas in hospital

oh I haven't thought of that

Matthew go down to the hospital and see

if you can cheer up some of the patients

well I was going to tell a Christmas

story yes and

perhaps could have helped me you see but

the problem is you see now that the

ostrich has lost all the sound effects

for the story the special effects on

everything oh look can't we help Susie

ask Bernie what to do what do you want

us to do then I wondered if perhaps

whether the boys and girls would help me

to make all the sounds and special

effects would you help me boys and girls

I'll leave it to you Matthew okay then

buddy that's nice boys and girls will

you help Bernie to make the sound

effects

yeah great that's smashing oh he's

coming back give him a cheer

hey thank you boys all right Oswald all

right Oswald you carry on with your bird

seed while I tell the boys and girls a

story now remember boys and girls this

is a story but Oswald has lost all the

sound effects so I want you to help me

so here goes Christmas Eve and Father

Christmas was walking from his house to

the reindeer Stables to get all the

reindeers ready to take all the toys to

the boys and girls all over the world

and as he's walking across the

snow-covered field to the reindeers

tables

it's very very cold and the wind was

blowing a bit hard and we did some wind

noises more more noise

[Applause]

[Music]

wind was blowing so hard it was picking

up the snow in Little flurries I'm

blowing the snow in his face

[Applause]

that's it yeah on Father Christmas stuff

my word I didn't realize I had such bad

dandruff I'll sit down because there's

none of it coming up soon right well

then that was Father Christmas covered

in dandruff and snow and everything and

do you know what happened next boys and

girls it started to rain rain

we haven't got any rain in fact we need

some rain the rain effect you've got the

rain effect you're in luck so he's gonna

rain

please

please oh I should have known that would

have happened

Father Christmas is on his way to the

reindeer stables and as he got close to

the Stables they could hear a strange

sound he could hear some sneezing

oh

what had happened was all the reindeers

had got the flu and Father Christmas was

very upset because they wouldn't be able

to deliver the toys to all the boys and

girls because it was Christmas Eve just

then on the roof he heard a strange

sound it was something slithering

slither.io

wonderful he went outside and do you

know what was up on the roof boys and

girls

what no no snakes no no snakes anything

else no plenty of snow

there was an ostrich on the roof

[Applause]

you know why I'm just not ignored

because the ostrich was wearing skis

Father Christmas said to the office what

have you done in my roof on the office

said I'm on my winter holidays I'm doing

a bit of skiing suddenly Father

Christmas Had a Brain Wave he waved to

his brain

will you help me to deliver all the toys

of the boys and girls around the world

because all the reindeers have got the

flu the Oswald the ostrich said not off

he said I will not only that I'll

whistle for me mates and they'll help

you as well right he whistled

and Over the Horizon came all these

ostriches on skis and in no time at all

that hits themselves up to the sl*ves

and they were pulling the sl*ves all

around the world so that the boys and

girls would get the toys on Christmas

Eve all the reindeers that were poorly

sick sat up in bed with hot water

bottles and gave the ostriches a round

of applause like this

[Applause]

well done Bernie wasn't that good well

I'll tell you what you've made us smile

Bernie you really have we're all having

a great time really well sure yes oh

absolutely

she's crying so why are you crying

because

funny had some time

Christmas isn't Christmas without we

can't have the party but wait a minute

wait a minute because something that got

delivered to me on Christmas Eve yes was

a magic balloon balloons aren't magical

this is a magic balloon you just watch

and see what happens yeah

hey look at this we can have a part of

this Bernie over there and is

sweet hi Bernie and there's Richard over

there with Sue hey does everybody want

to have a party
