Land That Time Forgot, The (2025)

Post by bunniefuu »

Should be arriving at the CV

we're repairing in a few hours.

- Specs?

- Uh...

15 transverse

and rake trusses each.

Should be easy, in and out.

Mm. Yeah, back in time

for your birthday, Tyler.

One more awesome night

before I'm off to the U.S.

for a couple of months.

Okay, okay. Well, that means

we need to go all out.

All right? All out.

Gotta top Bali last year, so...

True, but you know,

just let me see what I can do.

What does-- What does that mean?

- It's a birthday surprise.

- Birthday-- Are you insane?

Updates. Watchstander status?

Mm, negative on watchstanders.

We're off course.

We have had a subsurface hit.

52 degrees...

A Lada signature reading.

How?

We're outfitted

for repairs, not combat.

- Engineers.

- Sir.

All helmsmen

and lookouts are down.

Quarters have been destroyed.

Russians are boarding

from a surface sub.

Get your weapons,

and let's move.

- Sir.

- Yes, sir.

Board! Board!

sh**t to k*ll!

Australian Naval Rescue, Kuprin.

Enemy engaged.

Plant the expl*sives.

Come on! Quick!

Plant the expl*sives!

Now! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go.

Sir...

the armory's on fire.

It's gone.

God damn it.

Larue, you remember

that discussion we had

last night on mess deck

about your skill with an ax?

When I tell you to go,

get to work, all right?

Yes, sir.

All right, Tyler,

get us eyes on deck.

Sir.

Get down. Down. Down.

- They are hiding.

- Search below.

All friendlies down.

25 Russians.

One has expl*sives, starboard.

expl*sives? Well, they want us

to sink fast, don't they?

All right, engineers, this barge

is now nonrecoverable.

We gotta take that Russian sub.

- Yes, sir.

- Yes, sir.

See the Australian? Down!

Russian diver inbound,

60 seconds.

I'll disarm.

Tyler, cover Bradley.

Bradley, get to the b*mb

and reduce it to 20 seconds,

and 20 seconds only.

Larue, you're gonna have

to cover exit points. Copy?

- Copy, sir.

- Yes, sir.

We are in that water

the second

Bradley gives us a signal.

Okay, then boom. These Russians

can go to hell with the barge.

- Copy?

- Yes, sir.

All right, let's move.

Sir, look out!

Go! Go! Don't worry about me!

I got this!

Kuprin, intel report.

Kuprin, intel report.

Set to 20 seconds.

Kuprin, intel report.

Status? Where is he?

No response, sir.

Ah, there it is.

The Australians overpowered me.

They have boarded.

Order 66! Now! Go!

Stop what you're doing!

Step back! Step back.

This sub is now

under the control

of the Royal Australian Navy.

Tyler, get on the radio and

rejigger to our frequencies.

I want that carrier here now.

Hey!

Hands off, or I chop 'em off!

Bradley, get on nav-com.

Um, d-do you smell smoke?

There's a fire back there,

but we're good.

Checking nav-com.

Mayday, mayday, mayday.

This is Captain Tim Olson

of the Royal Australian Navy.

Does anyone copy?

They've blown

their own comms, and...

panel's on the fritz.

Can't I.D. origin, result,

method, or damage.

They've disabled the entire sub.

Middle of the ocean.

Nothing for miles.

You know, I don't care

how near Russia we are.

We need to chart a course

for nearest landfall.

We need to know

if this attack is just us...

or the start of World w*r III.

What is

that groaning sound?

What the hell was that?

Were we hit?

Status?!

Sir, they've done something

to the nav-com.

It's not working. No readings.

We can't be in the middle

of the ocean.

We're nearly

in sight of Russia.

Tyler, get eyes topside.

I need to know

if anything's moving up there.

Hostiles, friendlies, anyone.

Yes, sir. You got 'em?

Got 'em.

Land, sir!

No survivors, but land!

Less than a mile!

Land?

Less than a mile?

We were just surrounded

by nothing but ocean.

Pearce, we need to figure out

what happened

on that Russian sub.

We need to know it wasn't

disappearing on purpose

this close to Alaska.

Pearce, tell me

we have some answers.

The Russian sub intercepted

the Australian naval vessel

in the Bering Sea along

the coast of Russia and Alaska,

but something went wrong,

and we don't know what.

There was some type

of weather anomaly,

but that's not uncommon

for the area.

The Russians attacked

an Australian naval repair ship

unprovoked?

Yes, that is correct, sir.

We were allowing them

to pass through friendly waters

to get to their repair faster,

but the Russians

must have been patrolling.

We've tried all known

Russian frequencies,

and there's been no luck.

There's no sign

of the submarine anywhere.

Do you have

the names of the crew

that were

on that Australian barge?

Yes, sir. Unlike the sub,

the Australian wreckage

is present in the water,

so the officials

are still working

on identifying

all of the casualties.

Dozens of the Australian crew

are confirmed dead.

But there are four

that are unaccounted for.

They may be among the dead

and just not found yet,

or there is the possibility

that they were taken aboard

the Russian sub as hostages.

Do you have the names

of those potential hostages?

Lieutenant Olson,

Engineer Tyler Armstrong,

Engineer Jennifer Bradley,

and Engineer Lee Larue.

I understand

that that's your niece, sir.

Admiral, are you okay?

I'm fine, Pearce.

We need everyone's full

attention in finding that sub.

Sir, yes, sir.

I'll call in the NSA

and experts on this.

No, we can't.

It'll take too long.

This is off the books.

You understand?

I'm taking

personal responsibility

for this operation, Pearce.

Do I make myself clear?

Crystal, Admiral.

Admiral, where are you going?

I'm going to visit

my sister who's in hospice

and inform her that her child

may be held hostage

by the Russians.

Meet me in the command center

in one hour, just you.

That monster has most

likely put us out of commission.

That creature, sir,

never seen anything

quite like it,

except maybe in a picture book.

Aw, this stuff

needs to be fixed now.

And then we've got to figure out

a way to shift

that creature off us.

Bradley, can you undo

whatever they've done

to the engine?

I'll give it my all, sir,

but I'm certain

Kuprin here sabotaged it,

and I'm not sure how,

except it involved fire.

Well, you go work your magic.

Copy, sir.

- Larue.

- Sir.

I need you

to reset that console.

I need the radio operational,

please.

'Cause I don't like

standing around, doing nothing.

I mean, we're sitting ducks

right now.

I'd almost rather talk

to the Red Fleet.

You hear that, Andreyev?

They're surrendering

Shut up.

The circuits are melted.

It's chaos

inside this panel, sir.

If only you had a real engineer

to explain it to you.

Say that again.

All right, Tyler, stand down.

Okay, the last thing we need

is more trouble,

all right? No more fighting.

Yes, sir.

Larue, progress?

Radio, nav-com

out of commission.

Andreyev over here

overloaded the grid.

Circuits, motherboards,

every piece of hardware,

they fried their entire sub.

Bradley, damage report.

The hull's intact, sir,

but we're stuck

under that creature.

Maybe high tide will help.

Well, can we restart? I mean,

why aren't I even

hearing the engine anymore?

The engine's dead.

They dumped all the fuel.

So there's

a possibility to refuel?

Possibly. I can't tell

without trying.

Fuel source is unknown, too.

The radio, Larue,

how long to repair it?

At least two days of

nonstop stripping, connecting,

insulating,

replacing every burned wire

by borrowing them safely

from other parts of the sub.

And even then,

I would be better off

spending a week

salvaging parts,

taking them off the sub,

replacing everything,

a-and just rebuilding the radio.

Sir, can-- can you smell that?

There's gas in the cabin.

What did you do?

Standard capture procedure.

Good work, Engineer.

Hey, idiot, you're

in this mess, too, with us.

Just remember that.

Keep yelling.

Help the gas fumes

do their work on your lungs.

Shut up.

All right,

this sub's a deathtrap.

We've gotta move.

We gotta get out of here.

Engineers, grab a Red.

Let's move.

- Up! Up!

- Move! Move!

- Bradley, you're with me.

- Go!

Go. Get down. Down.

Stop.

- XO.

- Sir.

So your file indicates

that you three

have shared an abundance

of repair assignments before.

Yes, sir.

We've been in enemy territory.

We can defend ourselves.

Eh, I was

in the infantry myself,

and to be honest, I'm quite

impressed with your, uh,

resolve under pressure.

Good work.

Thank you, sir.

Happy to have a captain

who can take a Russian sub.

Yeah, I'll get us home.

It's just this...

I still can't believe you k*lled

that thing on your own, Tyler.

Dad was a surgeon, sir.

Everything has a carotid artery.

That's not something

they focus on in basic.

What about the jugular?

Focus on behind the ear, sir.

Doesn't matter

if it's 20 ounces,

20,000 pounds.

It's all over.

Does anyone know

what type of reptile,

crocodilian creature

we're dealing with over here?

Uh, sir, Larue and I...

we studied a little bit

of biochem in the academy

before we focused

on engineering,

but in biology...

Well, so level with me,

engineers.

Uh, looking at the tail,

flippers, jaw,

I recognize it more

from primary school

than I do academy sciences.

- Yeah.

- I think I know what it is,

but it should have been dead

about 65 million years ago.

So what you're telling me

is that thing,

that reptile is a dinosaur?

Technically maybe, yeah.

Uh...

Look, I think

what Larue's trying to say

is it looks like a mosasaur,

which is a marine-like,

crocodilian,

sort of like a dinosaur.

Uh, look, I mean...

it could be possible, right?

I mean, we've only discovered

5% of the ocean.

Maybe on a remote island

like this...

It could be a new species,

could be an old species.

Yeah, well, I don't know

how it happened,

but I think

we're closer to Russia

than we are the middle

of the Bering Sea.

Yeah, well, there's been

mosasaur fossils

found in Russia, sir.

It's just that...

this doesn't look like Russia.

Yeah.

Soon as we're done

with the inventory,

I'm gonna make

a quick expedition

to the cliff and back.

All right.

I'm gonna scan life

from the top.

Maybe if we're lucky,

we run into life sooner.

Of course, sir.

Ready for inspection, sir.

Unfortunately it's grim, sir.

Zero rations

made it off the barge.

Nothing's washing ashore yet.

What we found in the Lada

was burnt and/or tainted.

Potatoes, eggs, milk, bacon...

ruined.

We recovered six cans

of bean soup.

It seems the Russians were

at the end of their patrol

by the time we found them.

They were already

halfway through their rations.

Then, during our takeover,

Kuprin here doused

the ration cabinets with fuel

and lit them up.

Most cans burst.

Bradley saved six.

Tyler, pat them down, please.

Yes, sir.

That soup's

gonna have to last us

an unfortunate amount of time.

Until then, we gotta forage

to supplement it,

so we might have

to start fishing.

Sir, couple of knives.

Ah, good work, Engineer.

This'll come in handy.

Sir...

if I may...

we do have

a large amount of food

if anyone is brave enough to

grill mosasaur meat and eat it.

So you think this crap

is safe to eat?

You cannot be serious.

There is no way of knowing

if that food is even edible.

Well, it's either

we risk dinosaur meat tonight

or find some type

of immoral meat

we can feast on

over the next couple of days.

Sir, we can also make jerky,

uh, make a pole, some nets.

We can fish.

Well, that's gotta be

a short-term gameplan for food.

What about weapons?

Uh, we have the...

three axes

we retrieved from the barge,

the knives we just recovered

from the Russians,

but that's it.

Well, that's not a lot

to protect ourselves with,

especially

with what's out there.

I mean, anything else

of value for survival?

Like anything at all?

We also got

Larue's compass,

my lighter.

Hey.

You holding out on us?

Because if you are,

God help you, sunshine.

You'll leave us to starve alone

on this beautiful island?

Tyler, a word.

All right, Tyler,

this is important.

We are on our own out here.

You understand what I'm saying?

- Yes, sir.

- All right,

dress the meat immediately

so it doesn't spoil.

Okay, the Russians are gonna

carry on, but I don't care,

but I'm not interested

in starving anyone.

I need you to make sure

that everyone understands

how far we are from supplies.

All right, I need to scout

that cliff in the distance.

Recon can't wait, okay?

It's gonna take me

about an hour.

As of right now,

you're acting C.O.

- Copy, sir.

- All right, bring it in.

Now I'm gonna hike

up that beach to the cliff.

I'm gonna try to scout out

for any humans, animals,

locals, Russians,

whatever I can find.

Tyler's acting C.O.

until I return. Copy?

- Copy, sir.

- What he says, go.

He is the tip of the spear.

Copy, sir.

Okay, Tyler, get cutting.

Bradley, get cooking.

Larue, work your miracles

with that radio

until the fumes

get too much, okay?

If rescue comes

before I get back,

then Godspeed.

What in the...

It should be edible.

It's cooked--

Go find wild dog to test it on.

You know what?

I'm gonna go check

the shoreline.

Bradley, watch them.

Copy.

Surprisingly tasty,

though.

Yeah.

Oh!

You all right?

Yeah, it's not too dissimilar

to dressing a deer.

Although that smells

pretty bad, too.

Mm.

And just promise me

if we get off this island,

you won't leave me behind

because I smell

like mosasaur meat.

Don't worry. I could never

leave you behind here,

even if you do stink.

Thanks, I think.

You think, uh, Captain Olson

will be back soon?

I don't like

waiting around like this.

Yeah, well, if he's

not back in a few hours,

we go look for him.

Hey, are you...

okay?

Really?

Why are we, uh...

on this walk?

Uh, yeah.

Look, Ty...

my mum, uh, I know that you

know she's sick in hospice,

but, uh...

she's stage IV now.

It's spread to her lymph nodes,

and she doesn't have very long.

I'm sorry.

You know, I didn't--

I didn't know.

Why are you on assignment?

She's been in and out

of treatment for years.

I mean, every time she gets bad,

I have to splurge for transport,

and it's expensive.

Do you...

Do you know

how long she has, exactly?

Yeah.

Uh...

last month was

supposed to be her last.

She's on borrowed time now.

She...

She's meant to be having

this operation, but...

it's risky.

Yeah, and...

this was supposed to be

an easy assignment.

In and out.

Strut repair.

Can be simple if you're lucky,

but--

Our luck? I mean...

our struts are currently

on the bottom of the ocean.

Ty...

Mum was a vet.

Yeah.

She is a vet,

so she gets it.

But...

I get it. I get it.

We get signal...

could be good news.

Could be bad news.

- That's if we get signal--

- I--

Look, I'm actually sorry

for bringing it up.

I shouldn't have even--

I shouldn't even

be talking about it.

I wanna be focused

on our solutions.

You know?

When I talk about

why I've been distracted...

- It's fine. Hey, hey, hey.

- I don't know, I...

- Hey, hey!

- feel, like I should be able...

- Rue. Rue. Rue.

- to handle this on my own.

You're doing fine. Okay?

- Yeah.

- Okay?

Together.

Together.

You only ate

that little spoonful of beans.

I know you're hungry, eh?

I'm just trying to keep

you three from collapsing on us.

We're not coming back for you

if you do.

Suit yourself.

Truth be told, it tastes

exactly like what you'd think...

chicken.

Fishy chicken.

What's that?

Kuprin!

Help!

Come back! Help!

Help!

Hey! Hey!

- Help!

- Get back!

Get their ropes off!

Get back! Get back!

Quick! Into the forest!

Move! Move!

Move!

They're everywhere!

Move! Come on!

Olson?!

Go! Go! Get to the cliff!

- Move!

- Got all of the supplies!

Move!

Let go of my...

...leg.

Move. Move. Up! Up! Up!

Go. Go. Go, go, go.

That's the last

of 'em for now.

You all right?

Sir, the sound

we heard on the sub,

the groaning,

I think raptors, mosasaurs...

I think we passed through

to somewhere...

different.

I mean, at the very least,

like the Galapagos, where

evolution forged its own line

because it's so remote.

Yeah, I know,

but where on Earth have we--

have we found living dinosaurs,

still living dinosaurs?

I mean, yeah, sure, birds.

Ancestors,

million years old,

100 million years later, but...

I don't think

we're in some place.

I think we're in some time.

You really think that...

we traveled back in time?

No, no, no. I know--

I know it sounds impossible.

But...

But how else do you

explain dinosaurs?

Yeah, well,

the where and the when

doesn't make much difference

now, does it?

What matters is we get

to that cliff.

Okay, then we can figure out

what the hell went down

and how to get off

this bloody island. Copy?

- Yes, sir.

- Right?

- Yes, sir.

- Let's go.

Dr. Rimawi, Dr. Rimawi,

to the theater immediately.

Hello, Margaret.

Chris.

I haven't seen you in weeks.

I know. I should have

come by sooner.

You look--

Oh, terrible.

I know.

But I am fighting.

I don't know anyone

who looked great

when they were in the middle

of the fight of their lives.

Listen, I don't know

how to say this.

Is this about Lee?

I haven't heard anything

from them all day.

They should have docked by now

and be on their way here.

What happened to Lee?

What happened

to my child, Christopher?

Margaret, they're missing.

- Ohh.

- They were on the Bering Sea.

They encountered

a Russian submarine.

We're afraid that they may

have been taken hostage.

We are doing

everything we can to--

Why are you here?

You should be trying

to find Lee.

That sub is nowhere to be found.

Every resource in my fleet

is being directed

to finding that Russian sub.

I promise you, Margaret.

I want you to leave, Chris.

I want you to leave

and find my child.

That's all I care about

right now.

I'm going into surgery

in a couple of days.

I may not come out of it.

- Maggie, don't--

- Don't you "Maggie" me, Chris.

I know that look

when something's too damn big.

But you always found a way...

you and Mom.

You always found a way.

Now pinky-promise me.

I love you, big sis.

And I love you, too.

Now go find Lee.

Keep moving. Keep going.

Sir, stop.

Listen.

I think the raptors gave up.

All right, Engineers,

bring it in.

Bring it in. Take a knee.

All right, north

of the cliff face is a cave.

I spotted two silhouettes,

humans.

I think it's our best bet

to make contact and regroup.

Okay, but we gotta be cautious.

I think it's safe.

We need rest. We need water,

at least a couple hours sleep.

So we need to prepare

to defend ourselves.

Shh.

All clear.

All right, we gotta move.

I think the cliff face

is climbable.

Stay down. Stay silent.

Stay in formation.

If you see anything

or hear anything,

you hit the ground ASAP,

you understand?

- Copy, sir.

- Right, let's move.

Come on.

Right, that's the cave

I saw earlier. Let's go!

Run!

We gotta make a beeline

for the cave!

- Don't look behind you!

- Run!

Move! Come on!

Identify yourself!

Ahm!

Ahm, is it safe?!

Okay, we got our cave.

Move. Move. Move. Go.

Lee, cover our six!

Wait for the others!

Go, go!

He's right there.

My phone!

Keep climbing, Larue!

- Larue!

- My phone!

Verdammt!

Hey, hey. Hey.

It's okay.

That was

my last connection to her.

Larue, Tyler, you two come here.

Yes, sir.

So what do you reckon,

that's 25 feet?

Yes, sir.

And with your skill sets,

do you think you have a chance

of hitting that thing?

What, with a knife?

Affirmative.

Carotid artery,

right behind the ear.

Like you took out the mosasaur.

Yeah, I was-- It was

close combat, and I had an ax.

It's a completely

different situation.

Tyler, if you got a better idea,

speak up now.

Other than that,

just keep your trap shut, yeah?

Yes, sir.

Don't miss.

Copy that.

Thanks, Mum.

Well, uh...

before we get into

the squabblings, hmm,

Ahm has invited you

into the cave,

so come, rest, ja?

Just for a little while.

We gotta keep moving.

We got a plan to get off

this bloody island,

so we can't be too long.

Ja. Ja, Herr Kapitn.

Ahm, was it?

Ah, thank you

for saving our skin back there.

Thank you for letting us

I appreciate it.

Ja.

Ahm is insightful, ja?

I have no idea

what he is saying.

I only understand his name, Ahm,

but, uh, he lives

on the island.

And I, like you,

am a survivor, ja.

So my name is Kapitn

zur See Fredrich Von Schoen,

Imperial German Navy.

Imperial?

Now look who is

too proud of themselves.

Well, I'm sure some ideas

will be lost in translation.

I apologize

for the frayed nerves.

My name is Captain Tim Olson

of the Royal Australian Navy.

Kapitan Remizov, Russian Navy.

So you think

this is a Russian base?

We are not in Russia.

We are in the middle

of the Aleutian Basin.

The only thing Russian here

is myself and my engineer.

Well, do you know

where we are, Von Schoen?

Nein.

Uh, I was shipwrecked here,

and my navigation told me

there was no island for miles,

just sea for miles.

How long have you been

on the island?

I don't know.

I have lost count of the days.

Hey, Lee, sit down.

Uh, we-- we should

keep climbing, keep moving.

- Right?

- We need to rest.

It doesn't matter.

Our last camp lasted what,

20 minutes before we

had to run for our lives.

- Yeah.

- Ty, we run

the minute we start any damn

plan on this godforsaken island!

Hey! Hey, it's okay.

We can hear you.

Ty...

my mum is my best friend.

- I know.

- And any chance I had...

of connecting with her

while she's still alive...

is gone.

Right, everything I do

will be in the name

of getting off

this bloody island, all right?

I just-- I mean,

is this even Russia?

Again! I'm telling you,

we're not in Russia.

I'm sure we've all seen versions

of the same satellite photos.

We should be in the middle

of the Commander Islands,

Kamchatka shore,

St. Matthew Island,

and Aleutian Islands.

It should be deep ocean

for many miles,

far too deep for an island

or even rocks to crash into.

The Pacific Sea?

The Bering Sea? What?

Oh, you seem to be surprised

about that, friend.

Well, if we are

in the Pacific Northwest,

then why is all the weather

temperate, ja?

Ah, well, where do

you think we are?

I told you. I don't know.

I was in a terrible storm,

and I was knocked out,

and then I'm waking up

on the shores of the island.

Von Schoen, have you even

asked Ahm where we are?

Ja, of course,

but I cannot understand

what he says.

He cannot understand what I say.

I have no more knowledge

of information

as to where we are

than any of you, ja?

Tyler, you really think the

small ones are velociraptors?

Velociraptors

or something similar, sir.

We can't know.

They could have

evolved differently

on a remote island like this.

Strange.

But interesting, hmm?

I am curious.

How did you end up

on this island, hmm?

Oh, we commandeered

a Russian sub.

It's beached at the south.

It's got no fuel.

It's twisted. I--

There's no way to recover it.

I don't think we can, um,

repair it at this stage,

but we definitely have a chance

if we can get some sort of fuel.

Ja?

Well, this is wunderbar. Ja.

I also came here

on un submarine.

It is damaged,

irreparable now,

but the fuel tank

is largely intact.

We-- We could haul

the fuel to our sub.

Not right now.

It's way too dangerous.

Okay, okay.

So we take a rest, then.

This could work.

All right, we're not gonna

be dragging drums of fuel

in our condition.

We need to rest.

Right, everyone on rotation.

Tyler, you're

on picket duty first.

All right, everyone,

take a beat.

The SWISS haven't reported

anything unusual

or en route from the shore.

The present wreckage seems to be

that of the Australian barge.

Signs of life?

Rescue boat?

Items left behind?

No, sir.

If your niece's crew is alive,

they should be

aboard the Russian sub,

not this ghost ship.

And where is that sub?

There must be something

we are missing.

Sir, I have been looking

through some old report files

of missing vessels,

and I found something.

A German U-ship

from World w*r I.

23 soldiers went missing

when returning from

a Russian surveillance mission,

70 years ago in the exact spot

the Australian ship

went missing.

Were they attacked as well?

Well, that's the thing, sir.

The Germans investigated,

and they didn't find anything

out of the ordinary at first.

But then they started digging

deeper into a weather anomaly,

and they found way more

than just impacted weather.

They found dramatic shifts

and fluctuations in gravity.

Mostly imperceptible,

but at its worst...

It affects the speed of time,

like a black hole,

a time dilation.

Time dilation?

It happens very often,

almost every day in small ways.

Like a clock at 3,000 feet ticks

different than at ground level.

We need to confer data with the

other branches of the military,

find out what the hell

happened out there.

And if there's anything

that can help us

find that damn

Russian submarine now.

On it.

Okay, Bradley.

Shift over.

All right, listen up.

It's zero-dark-hundred.

Reveille in two hours.

Everyone put their heads down,

get some rest.

It's my turn to keep watch.

Is that skull human?

Who put that knife through it?

Cheh.

He says, uh, there are

more people like him.

Many. I can confirm this.

I have seen them

from a distance, of course.

Where? In the cave or out there?

Ah, he means to say

they are out there.

And, uh, they are the ones

putting the knife

in the skull and such, ja?

All right, all we can do

is be cautious.

Well, the T-rex attacking us

might have actually

been a good thing.

Maybe it'll keep the people

from trying to enter the cave.

You hear that?

Water.

Mein Gott...

I think you may be right.

Thank God.

Is it coming

from the back of the cave?

All right,

we should check it out.

We still need

a source of water. I'll go.

No, I'll go.

My watch is over,

and I really,

really need some water.

All right, understood.

Just be careful.

If you hear or see

anything back here,

you get back here ASAP, copy?

You have my word.

And I won't take

more than my share,

just enough to fill my canteen.

All right,

you got 10 minutes, Bradley.

You get back here ASAP.

Yes, sir.

Did-- Did Ahm's people do this?

Still no moisture.

Where is that echo coming from?

The knife.

Russian!

He's taken the knife

from the skull.

Oi!

- Where's the knife?!

- How would I know?!

Look around you, Einstein.

You're outnumbered.

I have done nothing

but comply with you

since the moment

the dinosaurs arrived!

Why not ask your crew member,

who, good fighter or no,

is clearly a nervous wreck?

She's not a nervous wreck.

She's grieving.

- Have some compassion.

- Grieving?

All right, arms up.

This is ridiculous.

You've already

taken everything from me.

He's clean.

I have a button

sewn into my left pocket.

You're welcome to that.

And what of your pockets,

Australians? Huh?

Nothing but an ax.

Just this.

We're clear.

Run!

Get out! Run!

Jen!

Oh, my God!

Bradley!

No, no, no, no. Hey, hey, hey.

Hey, hey, hey, hey.

We need

to get out of here!

Hey, hey, hey. Hey.

Hey, hey, hey.

I think...

I think my watch...

is done, sir.

I'm sorry, Bradley.

I-I'm sorry.

No, no, no.

What if there

are more of those creatures?

We gotta get out of this cave.

It's not safe.

We gotta get to that sub,

get the fuel,

and get off this bloody island.

I have

found a way down. Come.

Sorry I couldn't give you

a proper burial, Bradley.

Your sacrifice

is not gonna be in vain.

Let's move.

We have to go now.

Fredrich, we've got

to get to your sub now.

Is the compass working yet?

Uh, negative.

It's a graduation gift

from my...

Yeah.

Fredrich, how close

do you reckon we are?

Why don't you see

for yourself, hmm?

This is chaos. How are we

supposed to siphon the fuel?

Ja, ja, ja. I understand.

But I think you must be

entrusting of me

with the task, ja?

There is much shredded steel

around the fuel tank, ja?

But there is one fuel tank

still intact.

But it will be precarious work,

you see.

So I think it is best

if I go alone to do this.

No, no, no. Wait, wait, wait.

No, no, we didn't

come all this way

to watch you get crushed

by this broken mess.

No. Team, fan out.

- Set up a perimeter.

- Sir.

Gonna try to brace this thing...

move it along.

If you must, Herr Olson,

but I think that you will be

finding that having more bodies

will not be less complicating

of the task in hand, Ja?

Go! Go! Hurry up!

Do you not understand?

This is metal hull

that has been torn by a rock.

It is not meant

to be gripped in such a fashion.

It must be held delicately.

Also it is slick

with waves and ocean mist, ja?

This is it! You understand?

This is the only way

off the island!

You are panicking, Herr Olson.

You panic, you get cut.

You get fuel in the wound,

and guess what.

You be getting the gangrene.

And that is not good, my friend.

Aw, this is wasting time!

I am not going in there.

You will crush me,

and then what?

I'm having one leg

for the rest of my life. No!

This is a one-person job.

Herr Olson, please.

- Right. All right.

- Look at me.

This way in which you

are behaving, Herr Olson,

it is folly.

All right. All right, all right.

All right.

Maybe you're right, yeah.

As long as you're prepared--

I am prepared!

All right.

All right.

Remizov, you're with me!

Be quick.

Tyler, Ahm,

dart in and out of the bush!

Keep an eye on the water!

Make sure everyone's got an ax.

Larue, go east.

I'm gonna head west.

Copy, sir.

I hope you know

what you're doing!

Ahm, your people...

how did they get here?

They use boats?

You know, boats?

No boats.

Must stay on Caspak.

This?

This is all Caspak?

Must stay...

on Caspak.

Why?

Don't you want to get off?

What, do you have family here?

Do you have fri--

You have family here.

Tsuh.

Bad people.

We must go.

Okay.

Can you-- Can you

tell the difference?

Good people? Bad people?

Yeah.

We spend our whole lives

trying to do the same.

Ahm, how did you learn

about this land?

In Caspak...

my people...

we have many ideas...

that we can learn in one day.

Why is it your words...

your speech,

i-it gets so much better?

Yes.

This is how we change.

The island wants me to change.

How "we" change?

- What do you mean?

- My people.

We learn many things.

We can learn many languages.

We have many children.

And our children have children,

and we get to meet

those children

and their children.

How is that possible?

My people...

we live many lifetimes.

I think with the...

the tides, the daylight hours,

that has to mean something.

But are you comparing

your people to my people?

Yes. You understand.

On Caspak...

my people...

we are much like your people.

And you only run

towards your past.

My people, we remember, yes...

but it is only the future

we run to.

Your lifetime...

it's like days to me.

So the dinosaurs...

they're always moving

towards the past.

And your people,

they move towards the future.

Eh, that's why

the dinosaurs are here.

They shouldn't be here.

There is no shouldn't be

on Caspak.

Nothing ever really changes.

That is our way.

I don't understand. It's just...

time just kind of

spins everywhere?

It's not linear?

Yes. It's more complicated

than that.

We should keep going.

Ah, good work.

You did it, Fredrich.

Ja!

Whew! We're lucky

no one died, ja?

Whoo hoo hoo!

And we will die soon...

of dehydration if we don't

take this away immediately.

There is enough fuel in here

to start the process

und run a test.

It's about, uh, half

of what was in my submarine.

Wait, half?

You only got half?

Ja, only got the half.

But I did not panic

like some people, Herr Olson.

Oh, we stay.

We stick up a perimeter.

We-- We can't risk

the rest of the fuel

if the transfer works.

Ja. I will be back to help

with the rest of the process.

Okay, so we're gonna empty

the rest of that fuel

into something.

And then you get this

and fill up the sub.

Is there another liftable tank

in the wreck somewhere?

No.

Then how do we--

There is a wooden crate

with big glass bottles

about a meter into the sea

that way.

Hmm? You!

Come help me carry this

and show me

how to refuel the submarine.

No, no, no, no.

You take one of my men.

Herr Olson...

I will take the Kapitn,

or I will not be taking

the fuel at all.

These are my terms, hmm?

Fine.

Fine. You go with Von Schoen.

Time's of the essence.

All right.

Come, come, come,

come, come, come.

Und remember.

Patience with

the refueling process, ja?

- Mm-hmm.

- All right.

We'll start

making our way to you

once we're done

with our transfer

and hopefully

you're done with yours.

So we'll make a dart line

to your location.

- All right.

- XO.

Uh, final gut check?

What, Tyler?

I think one of us

should go with 'em, sir.

Normally, yes,

but we know absolutely nothing

about fuel transfer,

so it's

the most efficient answer.

If you trust them, sir.

Look--

Remizov's not gonna leave one

of his comrades behind, is he?

And the more hands

make light work.

We need as many hands as we can

to fill the bottles with fuel.

I just feel like, sir--

Well, look, Tyler...

I want you to understand

something, okay?

If we can't trust Remizov,

if we can't trust Van Schoen,

as much as I don't want to,

we'll never get to see

Australian soil again.

You understand what I'm saying?

Yes, sir.

Stop questioning everything.

Yes, sir.

Sir...

Ahm said something to me

about the island.

Said this place

is called Caspak.

Caspak?

Yeah, but Ahm

doesn't speak good English.

It almost sounds Russian.

Andreyev, does Caspak

ring a bell to you?

Caspak?

It sounds a little

like Russian for "summary,"

but no, it means nothing to me.

All right,

we're gonna have to ask

the captain

when he gets back, then.

- Sir.

- Yeah.

Come on. Come on.

Come on. Keep quiet.

What was that?

Voices low. Shh!

We have to get

to your submarine now.

These cliffs,

they are being patrolled, ja?

Give me the ax.

Danke.

The back. Come on.

I swear it wasn't this slow

when Van Schoen was here.

This is madness.

Ah, you can't even

get to the fuel tank

without cutting your arms up.

It's like the submarine itself

didn't want us

to get at that fuel.

Larue, you can't

think like that.

Well, that's

the superstitious crap.

All right? It's slow going

'cause the wreckage

is surrounding the fuel tank.

You're right, sir.

The fast ones!

Sir, sir, we can use these.

- Molotov c*ck.

- Oh, we need to get a fire.

- Have you got a lighter?

- I do, sir, yes.

No, no, we need that fuel.

I can take out a couple dinos

with my ax.

Sir, you know I can.

Yeah, I know you can,

okay, but you--

Ax one once they get close,

but these are gonna

take out more than one,

at least slow 'em down,

and you can finish 'em off.

- Fine.

- Ready, sir.

All right, come on.

Agh! For Bradley!

Can you stand?

Okay.

Thank you.

You're okay.

You're okay.

- Thank you.

- You're okay.

It almost got me.

All right, I think

that was the last of 'em.

All that work for nothing.

What a waste of fuel.

Yeah, well,

don't worry about the fuel.

It's no point if we're dead.

Can't think about that now.

We gotta get you patched up.

- I'm good. I'm good.

- You're all right?

- Yeah.

- All right, grab the tarp.

Take it with us.

There is a clearing

up ahead, ja.

But we need to be careful.

Make as little noise

as possible.

The mosasaur, it's--

it's no longer weighing us down.

We should be able to get

out of here much faster.

Ja.

And the high tide

will lift the submarine soon

almost entirely on its own.

I wonder why there

has not been high tide yet.

Or has there?

I wonder if time

even works on this island.

Ja.

Now I just need you

to explain

the fuel dumping valves to me.

Of course.

All sensors indicate

there was an extreme

gravitational flux in this area.

Gravitational flux?

Is that even possible?

We run the numbers

and the data with NASA,

NOAA, and other

military officials.

Nothing else makes sense.

But we're unable

to lock down a location.

Maybe they're in the same place

as that Russian sub

and the German U-boat

from World w*r I.

Yeah, but where would

they have gone, Admiral?

They have to be somewhere.

And if they are,

how do we reach them?

FRB 2220 610A...

was a radio wave

that was detected,

from all places,

as Western Australia,

in June of 2022.

Now, an FRB

is difficult to observe,

but is constantly happening,

and from all four corners

of the universe.

Now, this is just the latest

major detection

from halfway

across the universe.

They travel vast distances

for billions of miles,

and they can send messages.

Do you think that they travel

across gravitational

anomalies, too?

I think it's our best bet

for communicating,

sending a message.

So let's get to work

and find out.

Rue.

Time to move.

- What are you doing?

- Sorry, sir.

I was hoping I could find

at least one more bottle.

Lug a bit more extra fuel.

Uh, Ty...

smell this.

What does that

smell like to you?

Sir, those old Russian

pig boats, what do they run on?

Uh, well, if it's

a standard Project 677 Lada,

um, like they said, they should

be running on diesel fuel.

Still can't believe they

commission those old pig boats.

I mean, I guess

we should just be grateful

not all their subs

are nuclear these days, but...

- This is kerosene.

- I know.

This is kerosene.

Sir, it's kerosene, not diesel.

That's not a type of fuel

they use in the subs, though.

I know.

It doesn't make any sense.

Germany's entire flotilla

are 212A diesel electric subs.

It doesn't make any sense.

Kerosene burns

completely different to diesel.

- Why are they--

- I don't know.

I know submarines

haven't used those in...

what, a hundred years?

Maybe it's intentional.

You know, covert tactics

to avoid detection.

We need to search this wreckage.

I don't think Kapitn Von Schoen

is being totally honest with us.

Other man...

not honest?

No. Um, he tricked us.

Find proof. Here.

What is that?

It's Von Schoen.

1914. What--

Look how old this is.

Wh-What is he?

World w*r I reenactor?

With what, with his own

World w*r I sub?

I mean, there are, like,

six of them left in the world.

He did say the Imperial Navy.

I didn't even think his navy

would have gone through

name changes.

Don't you guys see

what this means?

Do you remember how confused

he was by the names of islands?

Islands that had different names

This whole time,

he must have thought we were...

eccentric spies. Who knows?

- He's not 100 years old!

- I don't know what to tell you.

- You said it yourself.

- So 1910.

What, that's when Germany

got into eugenics?

What, he's a...

He's what, a monster?

Maybe.

Oh, my God.

He's tricked us into stalling.

- sh*t.

- Kerosene.

It's pure kerosene

going through a diesel engine.

At best,

you'll stall the engine.

At worse, he's gonna

blow up the Lada.

We gotta move. Move!

We need to go. Let's go!

Das ist so schwer.

Mein Gott.

Ja.

Ah, ja.

Admiral, these FRBs are

transient radial pulses

that last about

half a millisecond

to about 30 seconds.

If we're gonna send a message,

it needs to be brief.

Understood.

ETA, Pearce?

Uh, I've almost

got it locked here.

Good. If we can get

a message to them,

then maybe they can respond

and they can tell us

where they are,

and then we could figure out

how the hell to bring 'em home.

Have you found my child?

Margaret, are you okay?

Where's Lee?

We might be able

to get a message to Lee.

Not good enough.

Do you hear me?

I'm doing everything I can,

Margaret.

I love you.

I'll swing by when you're

back in your room.

All right, sir. You about ready?

All right,

let me do the talking.

If Remizov's alive,

we can't let Von Schoen

know what's up.

Larue, don't draw your ax

until you're 100% sure.

I'll trust you'll know when.

All right, let's go.

Fredrich.

How's the fuel going?

Well, here he is.

Oh, I'm glad to be seeing you.

Herr Olson, come.

I am chopping wood, ja?

I'm using it to create levers

to lift the submarine

out of the water.

It needs a final push,

and I think you are just the man

to be helping me, so come!

I want to talk about

our escape plan, Fredrich.

How much fuel

do you reckon we have?

Where's Remizov?

Oh, j Remizov.

Ja, ja, ja, of course.

Listen, I think, for now,

we focus on the wood.

Und Remizov is

on the submarine.

He cannot wait to--

No!

- Olson!

- Olson! No!

Not quite.

Where is Remizov?

He's nearby. I needed bait

in case our little

lizard friends show up.

You lie! You k*lled him!

No. I have

seen enough of these creatures

to know that they

are not carrion feeders.

I would never leave

this island with any of you.

And I am going now alone.

It doesn't have to be

like this, Fredrich!

Ah-ah.

Now, my Australian ally and I

will wade out to the submarine.

I will push him back to you,

and then I am leaving.

Oh, you don't understand!

The fuel isn't even compatible!

At best, it'll damage the sub.

- At worst, it--

- No, no, no, no.

Now, now. Let's not lie, hmm?

I have seen the intelligence

on Russian Karp submarines.

True, I am not familiar

with this exact model,

but they all run

on the same kerosene.

Oh, this is nothing

like a Karp sub.

Kerosene just burns away

in seconds in that thing.

Well, if you have

seen one failure

of substandard

Russian engineering,

you have seen them all.

And I have seen one,

so I have seen them all.

I already know how

to put the fuel in the tank.

The rest is simple.

Please, just let us help you

get off the island safely!

Fredrich, this is

a different era!

We're in a different era!

It's a different century!

That's why the dinosaurs

are here!

Darwin's found plenty of islands

filled with crazy

big reptiles, ja?

And none of them were

any more special than this one.

Darwin would have some thoughts

on your crazed ramblings

as well.

Fredrich! Must stay on Caspak!

Please, no!

We're trying to help you!

We can help you

get off the island safely!

I hear your little mind games!

And w*r has made me

invulnerable to them, hmm?

Now...

I am leaving.

Auf Wiedersehen.

Come.

Fredrich, no, no, no,

no, no, no. Come on.

Come on!

You don't have to do this!

You're gonna blow yourself up!

Please!

We can get you off safely!

No!

Van Schoen, this is

your last chance!

Van Schoen,

that is a diesel engine!

Without lubrication in diesel,

the pistons are gonna spark!

You gotta listen, Van Schoen!

Listen, you're gonna

blow yourself up!

I am giving your captain

back to you!

Be thankful!

No.

No, no, no! Olson!

Olson!

Agh!

Boot system

is activated.

There. And now...

Okay, Admiral,

send your message.

Lee, it's Uncle Jackman.

Tell us where you are,

and we'll bring you home.

- No!

- No! Damn it!

No.

Someone had to press a button

to try and call us.

How do-- How do we

get them back again?

We can't.

Any signal we had,

it's not there anymore.

Would it be possible to call

them on a smartphone from here

if we have their number?

I don't know about a call.

What about a text? Can we send

a text through the signal?

In theory.

Make it happen.

I'll be right back.

It's a lost cause, sir.

It was a miracle that we

even got in touch

with them when we did.

This is my sister's daughter

in there.

If this was your family,

you wouldn't hesitate

to do whatever it takes to put a

mother in touch with her child.

Now get it done!

- Olson!

- Olson!

Ols--

Olson is gone.

Bradley is gone.

This doesn't feel real.

Mmm.

Maybe this is hell.

Maybe we died already

and that's why Ahm

keeps on saying

that we can't leave the island.

And it'll just be this

for all eternity.

Our only way off this

island is the World w*r I sub.

We need to get that working.

I can try to rewire

the operational controls,

but it could take some time.

Kapitan?

Kapitan?

What happened?

Von Schoen, he betrayed me.

He's trying to take the Lada.

You have to stop him.

Psst!

Ahm?

No, no.

The mosasaur's attack

must have attracted it here.

We gotta distract it.

Otherwise, it'll go for the sub.

You-- You get Remizov.

I'll-- I'll distract it.

Lean forward! Lean forward!

- Lean forward!

- Hey!

Hey, come and get it!

Come on! Hey!

- Go on. Get up.

- Hey!

- Get up!

- Over here!

Hey! Look over here!

Look at me! Come and get me!

We gotta move!

Go! Larue!

- Come on.

- Larue, it's not working!

We gotta go! We gotta move!

Larue, move!

Move! Get up! Get up! Get up!

- Go! Go!

- This is futile!

We are slowing you down!

There! There, a climbable tree!

- What are you doing?

- We'll never outrun that beast

with my injury!

We will distract it! Go!

We will work on the sub!

Leona. We both have

two good arms and one good leg.

Up.

- Up. Up.

- If we live, we find you.

You're not gonna

get high enough!

Do not waste our sacrifice! Go!

We'll meet you

down on the beach at the sub!

Tyler, come on!

We've gotta loop around

and get to the beach!

Go. Go, go. Come on.

My God, it's trying

to shake us down.

Remizov!

No!

No! No!

No.

Now we're never

getting off this island.

We need to move.

The raptors won't appease

the appetite of the T-rex.

No!

If the wrong people find us,

they will k*ll us!

We must find safety!

No. No, no, no.

That T-rex is stopping

our every attempt to escape.

We have to k*ll it.

Let's hide in the forest.

We make a plan from there.

If we stick to the shoreline,

maybe we could get there

without it knowing.

Do not despair.

I am still with you.

Come on.

Come on. Quick.

It's not chasing us.

Okay. I have a plan.

But you're

not gonna like it, Ty.

What?

We have to split up.

What? No! No.

This is a chance

for a real distraction.

If I get into

a good enough position,

I could sever its brainstem.

Lee, no! There's no way

we're splitting up!

You need to go downstream

as far as you can.

Use the creek to cover

your tracks, cover your scent.

Okay, just go

until it loses you.

It'll be easier if I

do this alone. I'm faster

and can maneuver quicker

than both of you.

It's-- It's the only way.

Lee, there is no way

that we are splitting up.

We always protect each other.

- No. No.

- Yeah.

I'm just sorry

that I didn't realize

what protecting you

really meant until right now.

What are you talking about?

You've always been there

for me, Tyler,

pretty much since

the moment that I met you.

Through our-- our shitty C.O.s

a-and dangerous repairs,

training,

my birthday in Brizzie...

your birthday in Bali.

Countless hours out at sea.

My Mum's illness.

This nightmare!

You have always

been there for me,

and I know that you

always will be.

It's my turn to be here for you.

Go with Ahm now.

I-I'll meet back up with you

when the T-rex is dead.

Lee, your Mum, okay?

You gotta get back for your mum.

You gotta get back for your mum.

Mum is with me.

She's always been with me.

- I want you to have this.

- Lee--

She's with me,

whether I have it or not.

Use it to remember me by.

Go downstream!

I'll catch up.

There's no way I'm doing this.

No way. You come with me.

We go together. We go together.

I have lost far too much, Tyler.

I have to save

the people that I can.

And the person that I love.

Okay, even-- even if

you can't hold me,

just know that I am

with you always.

No. Come--

You gotta come with me.

You gotta come with me.

- Come with me.

- No. Just go.

- Come with me.

- Go.

No! Get off me!

You have to get out of here.

We move quickly, we survive!

Ahm, take Tyler.

Get out of here. Survive.

Yeah.

Lee, no!

Hey! Hey!

Status report, Pearce?

There's no way to tell

until it's done.

You text the number

you're trying to reach,

and there's a one in a billion

chance that it goes through.

No time like the present.

Pearce, thank you

for everything you've done.

I'm putting you in

for a promotion.

You'll make one hell

of an admiral one day.

Thank you, sir.

Come on, let's find

your way home.

For Tyler.

I'm sorry.

We can't count on Lee.

We've gotta stop the T-rex.

We gotta k*ll that T-rex.

I would very much like

to k*ll the giant one.

It hunts my people.

He's a juggernaut, but...

Damn it!

I don't know what to do!

Wait.

The fast ones.

- Yeah, the velociraptors.

- Yeah.

Okay, yeah, I wanna k*ll them

as well as the T-rex, okay,

but how?

We make them attack each other.

If we lure the giant one

into their territory,

they will k*ll to defend it.

Yes.

Yes. Yes.

Okay. Okay.

Okay, you ready?

Then we run

like we've never run before.

Mm.

No, wait.

What if the fast ones,

they might--

Look, if we

don't k*ll the T-rex,

we're dead, anyway.

Let's do this.

You want it?!

Come on! Come and get it!

Come and get it!

The velociraptors' territory

is in the next clearing.

The T-rex is coming,

but we have to spook them

so they attack.

You ready?

Okay. Let's go.

For Lee!

Hey, come on.

Come on!

Yeah!

Ahm!

Tyler!

Run! Survive!

Ahm!

No. No.

Die, b*stard!

Lee!

Tyler! Tyler! Ty!

Um...

You're okay. You okay?

Oh, my God. You're alive.

- You're alive.

- I couldn't leave you here.

I thought you were dead.

I wouldn't leave you here.

I told you you'd make it.

It was touch-and-go for a bit.

A long road ahead.

Did you ever get ahold of Lee?

No. I'm sorry.

But you might be able to.

Look...

you gotta be

very careful with this.

Because this

is possibly the key

to getting in touch

with her again.

Oh?

- Okay?

- Oh, yeah.

Now, before you use it,

I gotta tell you,

something happened to Lee.

You're okay. I got you.

- Yeah.

- I got you.

Almost there.

You okay?

These Ahm's people?

Yeah.

- Tyler.

- Hi.

I have heard much of you.

Lee, I would have

come back for you.

- You know I would have.

- No way would I have let you.

You're here now because you ran.

Here. Here you go.

You're okay. You're okay.

You all right?

I bring good news.

All tribes send good word.

With the giant one gone,

treaties are being offered.

Now please rest.

- Thank you.

- Thank you.

You know, I-I learned

some interesting secrets

about Caspak.

The people here--

I don't know, they--

they live many times,

many lives.

Yeah. Before Ahm died...

You know, he might

not really be gone.

Time...

Time is in flux here.

And it would be if we left.

When the Lada got here

and landed ashore,

we were just here, right?

- Right.

- So...

if we went back, wouldn't it

just be the same thing?

We'd just arrive

at any moment in time.

You know, maybe

at the Earth's creation

and there's just volcanoes

and dead space.

Or, I don't know, after the

sun's already become a red dwarf

and there's nothing.

This is yours, by the way.

Thank you.

My mum, uh, if I did go back...

she likely would

have died long ago.

Or...

never have even been born.

You know, it--

the chances of finding

even-- even a shred

of her existence

are practically zero.

I think people from the outside

arrive on this island, but...

they never leave.

Is that really how you feel?

This island is our home now.

Wow.

That sunset really is...

too beautiful to be real.

I mean...

where, even, are we?

We're definitely not in Bali.

No, definitely not.

And it's not

the Bering Sea, so...

No.

Just-- Just know this, Tyler.

I'm yours.

Wherever we are.

Wh- Whenever we are.

Now, always, and forever...

I forgot.

My people found this

on their journey.

I thought you might know

more about it.

- My phone.

- N-No way.

I thought it was gone forever.

Nothing is gone forever.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Uh...

it's from Mum.

"Lee...

I know-- I know

wherever you are,

great adventures lay ahead."

"Know that you are in my heart

and I am at peace."

"I love you forever."

Who...

You should try and, um,

text somebody back.

I mean, is that even possible?

No, probably not.

I-I guess I have to try.

Yeah.

Let me see.

Maggie, look.

Oh, read it, please.

"And I will always love you,

Mom, until the end of time."

Oh, oh, thank you.
