03x11 - The Chase is On

This should be his spot, maybe
we could stir something up.

[Ronny] What's that
light back there?

Are you
getting this?

[Russell] I've been trackin'
my whole life.

You can tell
that something
has been here.

Look at this.
These are some
really big prints.

See this trail?
Something big
has been using this.

[whispering] I feel like
we're walking into an ambush,
this is the weirdest thing.

What is that?

Holy crap!

[whispering]
Zack, I gotta heat trace.

I can't tell, it's, it's like
it's just standin' there.

I don't see any...
shh.

Whoa!
It moved!

[whispering]
Seriously, it looks like
the top of this thing.

It's like it's peekin' out
behind the brush.

And there's a weird...

It's moved.

It's gone.

That thing
totally vanished.

I'm just scannin' right now
to see if I see that thing.

I wanna go down there
and see what that was.

If that's what we've
been following all day,

I wanna get closer.

Are you sure?

I think that thing's trying
to lose us in the forest.

I have looked for anything
in these disturbances,

but I've yet to find
a single footprint

that allows me
to determine exactly
what it is that I'm chasing.

And this thing
has led me
into these trees

and these dense areas
where it can stay hidden.

Whatever that thing is,
it definitely doesn't
want me to find it.

[whispering]
Let's get
out of here.

[Bryce] So we've only been
in Northern California
for just a little while

and we've already
captured some really
impressive evidence.

Right off the bat,
Ronny and Mireya

captured that
incredible vocalization
right near base camp.

[groaning]

[Mireya]
Holy [bleep].

And then at the other end
of our target zone, Russell
also captured a vocalization.

[squawking]

[Russell speaking]

It was almost reminiscent
of what's known
as the Sierra sounds.

Which a lot
of researchers
consider

to be some of the best
evidence of bigfoot
vocalizations ever recorded.

That led Russell
to find some strange
structures right about here.

[Russell] This is incredible.

There's something gathering
in numbers in this space.

Now around
that same time,

Ronny and Mireya discovered
something had been coming
in and out of their base camp,

right here.

[Ronny]
What the hell?

-[Mireya] Are you
smellin' that?
-I can smell it.

It smells like
something's been coming
through the camp.

[Bryce] It wasn't
too long after that

that Russell discovered
this huge,
abandoned train tunnel.

Where he saw
that strange
white light.

What's that?
Look, look, look,
look, look!

Now that led him
to track over here
down this valley,

where he captured
an incredible
thermal video.

[Russell] Whoa!

So in looking
at this map,

Russell has done a huge loop
around this mountainous region

leading him to just north
of where Ronny
and Mireya are right now.

So it makes sense to me
to focus the expanse
of our investigation

right in this area
where all the activity seems
to be pushing this way.

[Russell]
I have no idea what was
on my thermals last night.

That thing literally
disappeared right
in front of my eyes.

I'm gonna do my best
to make sure
that doesn't happen again.

Ah, look at this little trail,
perfect position.

This year,
Bryce has handed off
some technology to me

that I'm kind of excited
to use in the field.

Tracking burrs.

There's Velcro barbs on here
so if anything with fur
passes it, it'll grab it,

and simply pull it off this,
and this will stay
with whatever it hooks onto.

I didn't mark this one.
This one was number eight.

If it moves,
I can track it
with my cell phone.

It gives me the opportunity
to see the behavior,

and follow whatever
this attaches itself to.

[narrator] Similar
tracking devices are used
by researchers

to monitor the locations
of endangered species.

The team has made use
of them
in previous expeditions

but without
much success.

These new,
custom-made
trackers

utilize several
communications
technologies at once,

making them optimal
for remote locations.

They have a range
of up to a quarter mile,

and are accurate
to within five feet.

I've set up
eight separate
positions

that literally
cross over
this busy highway

of a trail.

So I feel like I'm
in eight different spots.

Here we go, okay?

[Ronny] You got
some scat?

[Mireya]
Looks like
a big cat.

[Ronny] That looks
pretty fresh, but that's not
what we're lookin' for.

[narrator] Five miles
from Russell's position,

Ronny and Mireya
have been tracking
north along the river

where they had
a mysterious encounter
the night before.

[Mireya whispering]

[Ronny whispering]

As we get higher
in elevation,

I'm realizing
that we're reaching
the upper end of the river

or what we call
the headwaters.

This is where
it all begins, as like,
this is the source.

Of course, it's all dried up,
you don't see any water.

But when the snow melts,
this is gonna be, like,

the freshest water
in this whole area.

This is really important
because these areas tend

to be very lush
with food resources.

In the springtime,
this would be
completely flooded

-with animals
because of the water here.
-[Ronny] Yeah.

-So this is good,
we'll just keep heading up.
-[Ronny] Okay.

[Mireya]
The further up you go,
the more isolated you are,

and that's precisely
the refuge
that animals look for.

Places that are seemingly
inaccessible to humans,

terrain that
is really hard
to get through,

those are the places
that you're gonna find
the most animals.

Because what makes
it difficult for us,
makes it safer for them.

[Ronny] Hey, uh,
that's kind of weird.

[Mireya]
You seein'
somethin'?

Just looks like
this little teepee
formation over here.

Just looks like a,
kind of a pyramid.
So it caught my eye.

When it comes
to tree structures,

we have small group
of researchers that believe
that they have significance,

and I'm one
of those.

And this structure
looks remarkably

like something
Russell found
not too far from here.

[Russell] See, these branches
were placed here...

These sticks
were placed
with intent.

[Ronny] Yeah, that looks
like a teepee.

There's a theme.

Finding two different
tree structures,
with this similar shape

but different sizes,
cannot be a coincidence.

Look at this,
there's two across
right here,

and these two
that are on top
of each other

are the same length,
and they're going
across this way.

I mean, I see why
it caught your eye.
It's bizarre.

And if you look at this one
down here, they're almost
in the same configuration,

like an "A",
and then a single one
on this side.

What do
you think?

I mean, this to me,
does not stand out

-in a way that the Kentucky
structure stood out.
-[Ronny] Yeah.

-[Mireya] Where, like, when
I looked at it, I was, like...
-I know.

...I know that's what
Ronny's been talking about.

[narrator] Last year
in Kentucky...

[Mireya]
Uh, Ronny?

...Ronny and Mireya
made a discovery
that fit the description

of what Bigfoot researchers
call a tree structure.

[Ronny] Whoa!
Holy [bleep].

Frickin' jackpot!

If you look at all the trees,
they're still all attached
to the ground.

Like, maybe there was a storm
and the ground is a little bit
more eroded from the rain,

so everything kind
of leaned in.
This just looks natural to me.

There's no, sort of,
anything too out of place,
nothing really constructed.

It looked like tree fall
that had landed
a certain way.

There just wasn't anything
distinct enough about it

or intentional about it
to make me want
to investigate it further.

[Ronny] I'm just kind of
curious how it looks
exactly like that one.

-What are the odds?
-[Mireya] But I wouldn't
say exactly. I mean,

-I know what you're saying.
-The front of it,
like this piece here.

-[Mireya] It looks similar.
-Like this.

This X and the two across

and then there's
one going through.

Maybe they're fallen
just like it,

but, I don't know.

[Mireya] I think Ronny has
really strong

convictions about
what is out here.

Ronny seems to think that

A leads to B,

B meaning Bigfoot.

It's like everywhere
you look,

you're gonna kind of start

seeing that structure
if you look hard enough.

I guess. You're right,

but it is odd.

It looks weird as hell.

[Mireya] To me, it looks

-like treefall.
-[Ronny] Yeah.

[Mireya] All right, let's keep

a really solid lead

and I hope it pans out.

[narrator] Eight miles outside
the target zone,

Bryce Johnson
is on his way

to speak to a witness
that he believes

could help explain
the strange lights

he saw the night before.

So, I'm on my way to speak
with a gentleman named Bruce

who's part of the
Muckleshoot tribe.

I told him about
the lights

that appeared last night
when I played

a recorded
Bigfoot vocalization

on a nearby road.

And he said that he might
have some

relevant information.

[whispering]
What the [bleep]?

[in normal voice]
What's that light back there?

-Hey, Bruce.
-Hey, Bryce.

-How's it going, man?
-Pretty good.

-How are you?
-Good.

[Bryce] So much of what
we know about Bigfoot

comes from local
Native American legends.

For that reason,

Bruce has a much different
perspective and understanding

of just what Bigfoot is.

So, in your community
are there

stories of people,
seeing lights

in connection with
Bigfoot sightings?

Yeah.

I've heard from
some elders that

if you see lights

-at night time
in the woods...
-Mmm-hmm.

...don't go follow them.

They said they're luring
you away.

They're using
that light to lure you

-farther out into the woods.
-Really?

'Cause we've
seen some strange,

for lack of a better word,

these ba*ls of light

is that what you think your
elders are talking about?

Yeah, something
like that, I think.

Now it feels like things are
really starting to line up.

Just a few nights ago,

Russell said he was lured

to the end of a small cavern

by a strange light.

Now, if he would've
kept going,

he said he would've
fallen off of a cliff.

[Russell whispering]
Oh, [bleep], Zack.

This is a freaking drop-off.

And just last night,

could the light that I saw

been the same type
of this phenomena?

I mean, I gotta ask myself

was I being
lured somewhere?

Well, in my personal opinion

I think they
pick and choose

who they wanna lure out.

Mmm.

Because it doesn't
happen to everybody,

you know, it only happens
to certain people.

And they just disappear.

Did you ever see
any strange

ba*ls of lights or anything
like that?

No, I haven't.

But I have...

seen a Bigfoot.

Really?

It was pretty scary.

I was hunting
with my brother

and I stopped to look
at the clearing

to see if I could
find any deer.

While I was scanning it,

I could see
like a burnt stump.

A black, burnt stump.

And it moved.

I was like, "Oh, [bleep]."

So, I pulled up my scope

and got a real
good look at it.

And what did you see?

He looked like a man.

But it had hair all over.

Everywhere.

With just a little bit
of black skin

that you could see
right here.

It was standing
with its hands
to its side.

And I was looking at its hands
and I was just like,

"Whoa."

When you're looking at this

thing through your scope,

did you ever feel like you
were in danger?

The whole time.

-Really?
-Yeah.

Just seeing something
like that, you know.

A monster.

[tense music playing]

And, uh...

and he screamed.

I was looking right at it
when he did it.

He opened his mouth
and screamed.

[imitates scream]

And it sounded like
a woman screaming

-in a horror movie
or something.
-Wow.

And I actually
took off running.

And I got lost.

Really?

And I've never been lost
in the woods before.

[eerie piano music playing]

And I ended up
nine and a half miles away

from where I was
supposed to be at.

Do you think that
your encounter

and then you getting lost
in the woods

might have something to do
with each other?

I kind of think
they play some

kind of mind tricks
with you.

This aspect of Bruce's story

really stands out to me.

Just the other day,

Ronny and Mireya had trouble

making their way
back to camp.

[Mireya whispering]

[Ronny speaking]

I can't help but
wonder if we're

witnessing a pattern here.

-[Bruce] They're out there.
-Mmm-hmm.

So, yeah.

Stay away from them.

[intense music playing]

[breathing heavily]

[Russell] Yeah, right here.
This one's still here.

Right here on the path.

Nothing's been through here.

[narrator]
As evening approaches,

Russell returns

to check his custom-built
tracking burrs

for any changes
or disturbances.

[Russell] Yeah, this one's
still here, too.

I've gone back to these
same locations

in which I've put
these trackers

and suspend them
above the trail.

And so far,

everything is still in place.

There's been something
through here recently.

See how this is
all turned up.

[breathing heavily]

I think we got...

about three more.

Hey.

Look at this.

Where's my burr?

Where's my device?

[device beeping]

[Russell] Yeah.

[whispering]
Says that the signal's lost.

So that means it's a long
ways from here.

Something picked
this thing up, Zack.

[Russell] Look how high
this thing is.

A bear would've passed
underneath of that.

Easily.

So, this thing's got
some size to it.

An adult black bear,

at the shoulder,
will measure anywhere

from two and a half to
three and a half feet tall,

for a big one.

Now, all of my burrs were well
above that threshold.

My job now

is to find out where
this thing went.

Straight up this way.

It's almost like a
highway of leaves,

just pushed aside.

Something's big and moving
through here.

Wherever it took it,
it's out of my range.

So this thing is moving.

It's on the move.

If I get close to it,

I will get the alert.

It'll let me know
that I'm within a certain
range of this tracker.

It's literally gonna give me

that pinpoint precision

and tell me which
direction to go.

Where this thing
is moving from.

I'm gonna follow this trail

until either I get
close enough to it,

or it crosses paths
with me.

If it gets anywhere
near me,

it's gonna alert me.

Starting to lose some light.

Sun's heading down.

[Mireya] There should be
a clearing up here.

[Ronny] Oh, wow.

That gives me an idea.

I'm glad we have this little

opening to the night
sky tonight

because I wanna
try something different.

[Mireya] What do you
wanna do?

I do a lot
of meditation

and I've had

some interesting
experiences with that.

-Mmm-hmm.
-[Ronny] I've seen UFOs,

I've seen orbs.

And the interesting thing
is that

where there are
Bigfoot sightings

and hot spots,

UFOs seem to be
there as well.

A lot of researchers believe
there is some correlation

with UFOs

-and Bigfoot.
-Hmm.

[narrator] According to
eyewitness reports,

Bigfoot sightings are
often accompanied

by glowing lights,

with some researches
believing that

Bigfoot are not animals,

but extraterrestrial visitors,

a theory supported
by the high number

of both UFO

and Bigfoot sightings that
occur in Northern California.

[Ronny] This area,

it definitely has that vibe.

That gut feeling.

So, tonight I'm wondering,

if you're cool with it,

I would love to just, kind of,

Claudia Ackley is
a hospital worker

who had a terrifying encounter
with a Bigfoot

in the mountains near her home
in Crestline, California.

Immediately following
her incident,

she had a strange run-in

with some federal officials

about what she saw.

And I'm hoping she
can shed some light

on just what happened.

Can you tell me
a little bit about

the encounter that you had

and what you experienced?

[Claudia speaking]

And we notice that, um,

there's three huge trees

that are blocking the trail.

At that point,

I noticed
my daughters, frozen.

And that they're both

just staring straight

in complete, like, fear.

And I could not believe
what I was looking at.

Right in front of me,

is a massive Sasquatch.

And he was about
30 feet up on a tree.

Can you tell me

what this thing looked like?

A huge man.

With a lot of hair.

He had huge, solid black eyes.

Almond-shaped.

How big do you think
this creature was?

Maybe 1,000 pounds.
Just huge.

-Wow.
-But, um,

I didn't even feel
very much fear because,

as a mom,
you don't think of yourself.
You think of your children.

How am I gonna protect
my daughters?

What am I going to do?

And I start
walking up to him,

and, at that point,
he starts to rock

back and forth
and he gets faster and faster.

And at that point,
I told my daughters,

"Hold hands and turn around
and start walking back
to the car."

They get back to the car,

and they're, like, shaking.
They're so scared.

I said,
"What did we just see?"

-Mmm-hmm.
-And then, my daughter goes,

"I videotaped it."

[girl] I swear to God...

Mom!

-[Claudia] Is it by the tree?
-[girl] Yeah.

That thing looks huge.

It was massive.

I still think of that
every day.

That is wild.

And things got
really tough after that.

What happened was

I called the Fish and Game

and within maybe ten minutes,
she arrived.

She was there within
five to ten minutes of you
calling her

about your Sasquatch
encounter?

-Yeah.
-Does that seem
odd to you?

I... Yeah, I think so.

I showed her the video,
and she kept saying
"Can I see it again?

Can I see it again?
Is that him right here?"

I said, "Yes, that's him."

And she said,
"Okay, well my supervisor
is on the phone right now."

So she gets on her cell phone
and she starts to text.

She looked at her phone,
she looked at me,

took a little bit
of a sigh and said,
"You saw a bear."

I was very firm,
"No, I... it was not a bear."

You know?
Bears don't have shoulders,
they have pointy ears.

And then she said to me,
"Well, we have a zoo here
in Big Bear,

an orangutan got loose,

like, two years ago.
Maybe you saw the orangutan?"

That's ridiculous.

This reminds me of what former
Forest Service employee,

Bob Lackey, told me
when I interviewed him

in our target zone
a few weeks ago.

About when some potential
Bigfoot evidence,

just disappeared.

The Forest Service didn't want
to hear about Bigfoot.

-Really?
-And I know that one person

had submitted hair and feces

to the biologist to, uh,

check and he discarded them.

Incredible.

[Bryce] To me,
this is more proof that
there's a government coverup.

And it has me asking,

"Why not investigate
these claims?"

[Claudia] So after she left,
the supervisor he calls me.

And he said, "I heard about
what happened to you
and your daughters."

And he's like,
"Do me a favor,
don't contact the media."

He asked you not to contact
the media, huh?

He goes,
"You don't want
the media involved in this.

The government's
covering this up."

Why do you think
that the government

is hiding knowledge
about Bigfoot?

Because I believe that

what the government
cannot control,
they will not acknowledge.

[Russell whispering]

Back in the target zone,

Russell has followed the trail
of whatever picked up
his tracking device

to the top of a ridgeline.

[Russell]
I know I'm on the trail
of whatever that thing was

Look at how well
beaten down this path is.

[Russell] This is the first
time we've actually
gotten a tracker

on something
that moved away with it.

And I know,
that if I get within

I'll get an alert,

and I'll be able to see
what direction to go.

This thing is smart.

It's avoiding these clearings.

Which is exactly
what I would do.

Right now, I have no signal
from this particular tracker.

So, the only course
of action I have

is to continue
following this trail.

But if I get a notification
on my phone,

and it tells me that
that thing is within range?

At that point,
the chase is on.

[Russell whispering]

[Russell] Look how
this just goes
right straight through.

-There's so much traffic.
Listen.
-[device beeping]

Hold on.

Look at this.
It's showing that it's right
out here.

Son of a...

Zack look.
Look, look, look, look.

It's right over here.

Right here. Right here.

[Russell] Right here.

What the hell.

[Russell] Zack, it's this way.

[Russell] Look.

Zack, that thing
was right here.

I'm working my way
down the trail

and I get an alert,

letting me know
that I'm close.

I saw the direction
it's going,

and as soon as I tried
to follow this thing...

I have signal lost.

Holy crap.

Quickly,
this thing outdistanced me,

and got out of that range.

Zack, that thing was right
in front of us.

I could chase it
in the direction
it was last headed,

but this thing
has actually returned
to this area before.

So what I'm gonna do

is go maybe 20, 30 yards
off the trail,

find a place to bed down
for the night

and see if this thing
returns to this area.

Let's just, at least,
start being more methodical,

and a little bit more smart
about this.

I shouldn't be running
through this though.

All right, Zack,
let's get some rest,

and hope that that tracker
comes back into range.

So, heading over in position

and... instantly got, like,
walking into a freezer
feeling.

[Ronny]
You can feel
this energy shift.

[narrator] Three miles away,
in the canyon below
Russell's position,

Ronny and Mireya have decided
to split up to cover
more territory.

Ronny will utilize meditation

a technique, he believes,
could evoke a response
from Bigfoot.

While Mireya will continue
to explore the area
surrounding the headwaters.

[Mireya whispering]
This looks like an area
that's been trampled

by animals.

[Ronny] I'm gonna find
a good spot where I can...

get set up.

According to Bruce Starr,

the witness that Bryce
interviewed earlier,

Bigfoot has the ability
to cause us to lose
our bearings.

Which means they can
connect to our minds.

And like Bruce said,
they choose who they want
to connect with.

The goal with meditation
is to actually project

my intent and energy to let

the Bigfoot know
I want to be chosen.

[whispering] So the idea

is you use your breathing

to start slowing down
your heartrate,

slowing down your mind.

And so you have to
kind of be peaceful.

All right,
I'm gonna start right now.

[Mireya whispering]
There's a really fresh

bear scat right here.

That's a big bear.

Right away,
as I get into the forest,

I start seeing signs of life.

I know that this area can

carry and sustain
a large mammal.

[whispering] I've done
nocturnal investigations

for years,

and I've gotten
really comfortable being out
in the forest at night.

But I've never felt

as uneasy as I do
in this forest.

I've never

seen so much evidence

of predators
in one concentrated area,
like I've seen here.

It's really hard
not to feel like prey.

[Ronny whispering]
So, like, after a few minutes,

I start getting a sensation,
like, right in here.

Almost as if

something's kind of touching
my forehead.

And I've been getting a weird

sensation, like, coming
over in here.

[twig snaps]

Yeah.

[twig snaps]

There's definitely something
out here with us.

I'm gonna try to move

a little bit at a time.

If I stop abruptly,
maybe we can
catch something

moving under our sound,

and catch it off guard.

Oh.

[wood snapping]

You heard that, right?

[wood snapping]

Something just landed
right over here.

To be meditating in the forest
and then have something

thrown in your direction,

my mind instantly goes
to a Bigfoot

throwing something at me.

Letting me know
that I'm not

welcome to move any closer.

[twigs snapping]

But the whole idea,
is to have some kind
of interaction and activity.

And now I'm
in the midst of it.

So I'm not giving up.
I'm moving forward.

[whispering]
My heart's racing
like crazy right now.

I could be just feet away

from actually seeing
a Bigfoot face to face.

I'm not going to stop
no matter what.

[whispering]
I know there's
something out here.

[twig snaps]

There's evidence of bear,
just, everywhere here.

This is what bears do,
they just root.

I'm trying to cover as much
area as I can so that I can

really get a lay of the land
here, and I'm seeing signs
that there are animals

that have just recently
used these paths.

What the [bleep] is that?

There's a light over there.

[Mireya whispering]
What is that?

It's these big bursts
of light.

I'm trying to make sense
of what's in front of me,

because all I can see is this
perfectly structured light

in a horizontal line
across the forest.

What could possibly be causing
such a clear, bright light

to come pouring through
the trees?

[whispering] What happens
if I flash my light at it?

When I've got my light on,
all you see is, like,
this dense wall of trees.

And then the second
I turn it off...

there's this light flooding
across the horizon.

The only thing that would
explain what I'm seeing
is if there was a building

and light was being reflected
on the rooftop.

But there is no building,
there are no structures
anywhere near us.

[whispering] I've no
idea what that is.

[device beeping softly]

[Russell] Hang on.

I just got an alert.
That ping. That tracker's
got something.

I've just been able to shut
down and get some sleep,
and I get the alert.

Zack, get up.

[Russell] That thing is close.

I know that where I'm laying
right now, this thing
is within 500 feet of me.

That thing is pointing
just over the side
of the hill, right here.

If I close that gap,
I'm gonna get my answers.

Look...

this thing is right
out in front of us.

Right there.

Come on, let's go.

Look at this.

[Russell] I'm almost
face-to-face with this thing.

I'm gonna see what
I've been chasing these
last several weeks.

Fifteen feet.

You see this big tree?
It's gonna be right there
beside it.

[Russell] I'm gonna
hit it with the light.

Are you ready?

[Russell] We're right
on top of it, man.

[exhales sharply]

Is it in the tree?

[Russell] Do you see
anything up there?

[Russell] No, we're right
on it, it says right here.

Hang on.

There's some...
Look at this.

Oh, come here, come here.
Look at this [bleep].

There's my tracker.

You've gotta be kidding me.

That's the closest
I've ever come to chasing
this thing down.

It allowed me to get
that close.

And now it's gone.

[Russell] Look at that.

There's hair on that.
Look at that.

There's hair right there.
It's black hair.

So far, this thing has
outsmarted me every
step of the way.

But I don't look at this
as a total loss.

Whatever this tracker
was on, it left hair.

I need to know
what's on that.

I can only hope that maybe
I can get something
off these hair samples.

Because, right now,
I am on the path
of something huge.

Whatever that thing was,
it was right here.

Let's keep looking.

That thing could
still be here.

some strange stuff happening

Are you seeing lights?

There's an incredibly bright
light coming through the trees
on the horizon.

Oh, whoa, that's crazy.

But I definitely have
something over here.

I was wondering if you wanted
to head into my direction,

because I'm getting stuff
thrown at me.

All right, I'm gonna head over
in your direction if you're
getting activity over there.

Okay, roger that.

[Mireya whispering]
Are you guys
seeing the light?

I don't see it anymore.

I'm gonna keep making
my way to Ronny.

There's like an orange
light at the end of the trail.

Look, it just flashed again.

It looks to be moving
between the trees.

It comes and goes, like it's
going behind the trees
and then coming out.

And there'll be a flash
of orange.

It's getting bigger.

What is that?
Are there trail camps
set up out here?

[bleep] I don't see it now.

I started making my way
into the direction
of this bright orange ball...

I can't see it anymore.

...but I'm no longer seeing
the light source.

And Ronny's out in an area by
himself, saying something is
being aggressive towards him.

So, I made the decision
that getting to Ronny
is just more important.

[whispering] Let's get
back to Ronny.

We're getting
a lot of activity.

They're in control,
so you have to, kind of,
play by their rules out here.

[Mireya] Smelling gamey.

[Ronny] It was almost
like I passed this
imaginary line...

and something was thrown
right in my path.

Honestly, I'm a little
bit freaked out,

because there seems to be
a clear boundary line

that starts the beginning
of Bigfoot's territory.

And it's letting me know that
I am not welcome here.

[Ronny whispering] Right here.

[Mireya] No, there's
something moving in there.

[Ronny] Now something
could be standing right here

and you would not
be able to tell.

Having these rocks thrown
at me, I know that something
is very close to my position,

and I wanna move forward,
because I wanna see
what it is.

But I know
I am now walking
in their boundary.

[Mireya whispering]
Can you guys see it?

It looked like I saw
some eyeshine there.

I'm racing my way down
the trail towards Ronny,

and all of a sudden,
out of the corner of my eye,
I see this amber glimmer.

It almost looks like
it could be eyeshine.

Wait...

just past these trees.

Let's push the line a little
bit, see what happens.
