05x24 - Animation Sucks

Post by bunniefuu »

Class, we're going to set off on an

incredible creative journey

to discover the wonder of animation.

You'll draw a series of pictures on

tracing paper. Then we're going to bring

in a cameraman to sh**t your work. You'll

see your creations spring to life,

just like the animation you see on

television. Life,

class. That's what animation means.

Movement. Your characters can move in

any style at all, limited only

by the boundaries of your own

imagination. You'll learn that being an

animator is very hard work, but if you

pour your heart into your labor, you just

might pull off a miracle. Through the

movement of colored shapes, you'll reveal

the beauty of the human spirit.

He said pull off.

Plop.

Plop. Plop, plop.

This must be like some kind of toilet of

the future. Yeah, it's like the youth

kitty litter. Yeah.

I'm a water man myself. I like to take a

dump in the kitty box sometimes, and like

the cat comes and buries it for you.

Whoa. That sounds pretty cool.

Yeah. The electrified force field

has created the perfect beam. Yeah, yeah

In the future, it's like all turds will

be perfectly round. Yeah, yeahAnd they

will go, Plop! Yeah.

Can't talk 'cause I'm already lost It's

like, I haven't seen Danzig on TV in a

while. Yeah, yeah, he's been hiding out

so that I can't find him and kick his a*s

Yeah, right. I'd like to see you

try to kick Danzig's assIt'd

probably be pretty close now, 'cause,

like, all that Sam stuff down there, it's

probably like that pro-formula weight

gain powder stuff. He's trying to, like,

bulk up for a fight. You're a

butt monkey, Belus. I'm gonna kick his a*s

Whoa, check out his eyes. Uh, you want

black eyes like that?Yeah, yeah, I think

it'd be cool. Okay.

Ow! Ow! Um,

one thing about this video, though, it's

really cool and everything, but then it

just stops, like just out of nowhere.

Uh.. To help you get ideas for your

own films, I'm going to show you an

animated film I did when I was in school.

So put down your pencils, everyone.

Cool. Yeah, yeahThis better not

suck.

Your skin is purple, man. I don't dig

you. I'm purple and I'm proud.

You're invading my space, Greenie.

Wow, your blood is red, just like

mine. Even though we're different on the

outside, on the inside, we're all the

same. Let's live together in

peace.

So, class, what did we learn from my

little film about what's possible in

animation?

Uh, in animation? You can, like, have

people ripping apart each other's guts.

Yeah, yeah, yeahThey're like stabbing

each other's heads with their tongues.

Amination is cool.

We're drawing dead people.

Yeah, yeahDead people are cool.

These are cool dead people. Yeah.

They're just, like, lying there. Because

they're dead.

You can't just do one drawing and sit

back, you guys. For animation, you have

to do lots and lots and lots of drawings.

Uh.. Oh. Hey,

Butthead. Let's draw two dead people on

this one. Yeah. We already have two

dead people on this one. Yeah, but then

we'd have like, um, three dead people.

Yeah. Oh, yeah.

That would be cool.

Hey, Beelus. Let's keep making more and

more dead people until we've got, like, a

whole m*ssacre. Yeah, yeah

m*ssacre! m*ssacre! m*ssacre!

Little blood right there. Little

bit there.

Little blood right there. This is getting

boring. Yeah, I know. Let's like draw

dead people getting their guts chewed up

by a dog. Yeah, man, that'd be cool.

Yeah, or dead people getting

smashed by an airplane. Yeah, yeah, yeah

Or like, dead people with a giant fork

ripping them apart! Yeah! This

is gonna be cool. Yeah.

Yeah

Oh, no. Is this the Eurythmics?

You said, uh.. You said, um.. You're,

uh, you said,That's

something, uh.. ur... Uh, urine?

No, Heben. I said, is this the eurythmics?

Oh yeah, but I'm just thinking it's kinda

funny 'cause it sounds like... uh, ur

and... it sounds kinda like urine, you

know. There's something there,

you know. Shut up.

Come on, shut the trunk! Come on, shut

it! Shut it! Yeah.

This reminds me of that part in

Goodfellas, where they have that guy in

the trunk. That movie was

funny. Hell yeah. Hey,

remember that one part? Are you about,

What do you mean I'm funny? What do you

mean, funny-looking?What are you talking

about?You think I'm funny?What am I here

to amuse you?What are you

talking about?No, no, no,

you said I was funny. Come on, come on

Pretty good, huhYeah. Then that guy

wussed out.

Remember that time you were doing that to

McVicar?Oh, man. That

didn't work out too well.

Yeah. You wussed out too.

Well, class, it's time to see what your

tireless hours as animators have

yielded. First up, Cassandra.

Excellent work, Cassandra. How does it

feel to see your ideas come to life?

So powerful, so enormous,

so brief.

HmmOK, and now let's

peer into the imaginations of our friends

Beavis and Butthead.

Oh my.

HmmWell. The piece does seem to be

attuned to a a certain

aspect of our fragmented modern

society. In fact, I must say I'm

impressed by your work, boys. It's

primitive, it's impulsive, and

and it's cool. But we drew

like 500 dead people. Yeah. What

do you do with them, butthole

Beavis, through animation's wondrous

illusion of motion, your hundreds of

drawings have been transformed into a

single pair of very dynamic characters.

I'd like to take another look at that.

Wouldn't you, class?

So, like in animation, you have to draw

tons of dead people, just end up with two

dead people. Animation sucks.

Uh.. Who the hell is this?Um..

Uh.. This guy sort of sounds

familiar. Yeah, yeah

He kind of looks familiar, too. Is

this Adam Curry?

No. is it Sting?

No, that's not Sting. That's, um..

I know that's Mr. Romano from from One

Day at a Time. No, it's not.

I think it's David Lee Roth. Yeah,

right. Um, okay. It's um..

Bebus, I think this is David Lee Roth.

Oh my god. Yeah, Yeah it's

him! Where are all the chicks?I

don't know. It's like, something's

wrong with him. I'm concerned about it.

Maybe he like, just like, hit it with

every chick that there is. Whoa, whoa

we're gonna try! It's gonna hit him!

Yeah, it's gonna hit him! Look,

if we're not gonna hit him, look! Yeah,

yeah, yeah Gaaaah! Wait a minute!

Wait, what's he doing there? He was

supposed to get run over. Yeah, what

happened?Damn it! Whoa, look at

that! Yeah, there you go. That's the

old Dave we used to know.
