hi hi papy hi everybody what's happening

exciting news circus is coming to papy L

wow has buddy bear heard the news you

know how much he loves the circus why I

bet he's reading about it right now P

yes yes yes and I see it's right here on

the front page of the py land Daily

News oh boy I can't wait I love the

circus my family has a proud tradition

of being in the circus let's see uh oh

there's Uncle Teddy the tight rope

walking bear and oh Aunt Bessie bear the

traas star and Oh Billy bear the

cyclist oh wouldn't that be fun to ride

a bicycle in the circle

but I can only

dream hey Sunny don't you know what time

it

is what I sure do Elmer it's blow after

2 and it's time to say hello to all the

girls and boys hi naviana and Alexander

and Victoria and I see you too Zaria and

Faith Mary oh and there's Laurel and

sopia and they're all with their pencils

and crayons and they're ready to go and

of course I see all the rest of you

it'll be my pleasure say Grands sunny in

my day before television the circus was

the most exciting thing to see it still

is grandpappy everybody loves the the

circus I think I'll just ride my bike

now and imagine myself in the

circus you see what I see yes it's a

bear riding a

bike wow he has talent hey let's ask him

he wants to join the circus youo Mr bear

hello he stopped let's go talk to him

right

now oh hi wow you're clones you must be

from the circus you bet bear and we're

looking for a bear who can ride a bike

in our circus are you interested am I

I've always wanted to be in a circus

what time's the show well it's tonight

but after that you'll come with us and

join the circus and there will be a new

show show every night oh you mean I'd

have to leave all my friends in papy

land well I'm afraid so but you can

always send them postcard and you'd see

them once a year when the circus came to

papy land oh GE I don't know oh and one

other thing once you're part of the

circus all the Bears can eat all the

honey they want really wow all the honey

I can eat well okay I'll I'll I'll do it

okay that's great let's shake on

[Laughter]

funny uh Mr oh oh buddy bear but you can

call me

buddy would you like to smell my flower

oh I love to smell flowers that's where

Honey comes from you

know I keep forgetting you're both

clowns and that's what clowns do oh

that's right but here I made an animal

balloon for you buddy it's a bear just

like you well not really because he's

red and you're Brown wow thanks you're

welcome I better get packing and tell

papy the news oh boy and we'll be back

some important news for you and all my

friends in papy land what's that buddy

I've decided to leave papy land and join

the circus buddy you're going to leave

papy land what

what yep papy you know how I've always

loved the circus and now at last my

dream can come true I start in the

circus tonight and I leave papy land for

good right after the show are you sure

this is what you want buddy oh yeah I'm

sure papy you know how I've always loved

the circus and this is my big chance to

become part of it at last but of course

I will miss all my friends in papy land

of course buddy and I hope you know how

much it will miss you I don't believe

it I know papy but you know buddy we

support your decision

when you have a dream like you have

about joining the circus sometimes you

just have to do it you have to follow

your own way and make the right decision

for yourself this Justus in buddy bear

is leaving papy land to join the circus

he's leaving right after Today's Show

all his friends in papy land wish him

well gee that's some radio uh listen

buddy I'll be right over to the Hamlet I

want to say a proper goodbye to you oh

thanks papy I'll be here packing I'll

I'll see you soon soong gee pep I never

had to say goodbye to anybody before I

feel sad that's okay it's natural Binky

uh whenever we like or love someone and

they have to leave for a different place

like maybe a friend or a relative moving

it makes us really sad does it mean that

we won't be friends anymore with buddy

no Bank we'll always be friends with

Buddy and distance makes no difference

when you love someone and Buddy will

always be our friend you know I never

realized how much I like that big old

bear until I think about him not being

here in papy land anymore I'll tell him

you said so Elmer well g*ng I guess I

better get over to Buddy Bear's hamwi

with to say goodbye I'll give him your

best wishes for a great success in the

circus thanks papy tell him not to

forget to write and tell him he can call

anytime I will everyone I'll just take

the colic copter over there right

now

well boys and girls this is a sad day

for all of us with Buddy bear leaving

tapy land but we have to support him if

joining the circus is what he really

wants to

do I think I'm excited I always wanted

to join the circus think of all the

children I can make happy but I'll have

to say goodbye to my friends in papy

land oh I think I hear papy Landing in

the color copter saying goodbye is not

going to be

easy hi buddy oh hi you papy g thanks

for coming to see me off you're welcome

buddy come on give me a big bear hug cuz

I'm going to miss

you I'm going to miss you too papy buddy

is it true we just heard on the radio

that you're leaving py to join the

circus yep it's true I leave papy land

tonight right after the circus

performance M Mia this is a

catastrophe now now Louie you know how

much buddy has always loved the circus

and now he has a chance to join it and

become famous like his relative we

should all be wishing buddy bear good

luck I guess you're right papy well lots

how about you doodle bug aren't you

going to wish buddy good luck go don't

go you're not going to like it we're

okay gosh Doodle Bug I didn't know you

felt that way but I have to go I already

said yes I'll be making all the kids

that come to the circus happy and all

the Bears in the circus get to eat all

the honey they

want uh buddy uh that wasn't the only

reason why you decided to join the

circus was it oh well no of course not

papy hey buddy bear oel you're ready to

go oh yeah let me get my suitcase sure

hey hi Fells how you

doing oh boy you guys are clowning

around buddy buddy listen since this is

your last day okay what do you say we do

one last drawing with the boys and girls

well okay sure I say clowns do you have

your crayons with you of course who

visits py land without crays and how

about some paper yeah you got the paper

great great all right what do you say we

get started Kido that sounds good to

this is going to be

fun okay let's get going since buddy is

joining the circus let's draw an animal

from the circus a

seal all

righty I'm going to start

by drawing a curve line right

there

then bring this line

down and stop right

there all righty you think of some other

animals that I've drawn

[Music]

that you might have seen in the

circus that's right an elephant that be

do an

elephant and a lion that's another good

answer very

good

and let's just

[Music]

continue down that'll be the back of the

seal and we'll just continue continue

and curve it around like

that and for his tail we'll

just do some curve lines like

so bring it

up bend over and stop very

nice all righty now I think I'll put a

circle right

here for the seals High

and another little

circle right there very nice and we'll

just put a little

eyebrow all right he needs a mouth so

let's do that

now and just a small line right here for

the inside of the mouth you see

that and a small line right here for his

nostril little opening in his nose very

nice let's just put a small line here

also just to show a little

wrinkle where his fin is bending like

that and now let's draw a circular

platform that the seal is performing

on you a lot of the animals when they

perform they usually stand on these

supports and end the

round and we'll just put one side right

there and bring this around because it's

curved and it's round now I'm going to

put a design on the box and you can

follow along or add your own ideas let's

just try putting some kind of

design now just go up like that come

back down and go up and bring that line

down they kind of look like little

triangles don't they that's what they

are see that and we'll just do the same

thing we'll put smaller triangles inside

the big triangle like that and see how

that creates a pattern you can make up

your own you don't have to copy py

exactly use your own ideas all right I'm

going to put a little circle in here and

a little circle right there and another

little circle looks pretty good

all right now I think I'll put some

whiskers seals have very long whiskers

so let's do that there we go just like

so and right here one

two three

whiskers and now let's draw some curved

lines right

here just to indicate the ring that the

seal is

in and the ring is usually a big circle

that all the performers perform

in like that you see

that all right H what could be on here

let's just put a little line there to

show the other fin now what could be on

his nose can anybody

guess a a a

ball that's

right that's exactly what the seal loves

to do let's get a circle right here and

I want to get my wrist going in a

circular motion and relax and when I'm

ready here we go bring

it and

up and

connected you have to practice Circle

are very difficult to draw so practice

your

circles all right now I'm going to put a

design on the

ball it's just a curve line like that

look at

that you can put any design on your ball

all righty well that about finishes it

but I see something I'd like to

do right here and then we'll be finished

it's just just shows a little sawdust or

sand or gravel or whatever there we go

now let's see what the seal has to say

to miss buddy Elmer don't tell me you're

leaving papy land too nope Sunny I've

packed to move into buddy Bear's Place

now that he's left for the circus think

of the parties I could have there the

place is

huge oh

Elmer well boys and girls even though

this is a sad day for us in papy land

because buddy bear is left to join the

circus we still have to carry on so

let's color the picture of the seal we

drew

earlier all righty and now I'll begin by

using this color for our seal

and I'm going to shade just the side of

the seal okay we're going to leave a

very shiny highlight in the

center I'll show you how that's going to

look and again remember to choose any

color that you like you might have a

favorite color you might want to

use and that's okay because it's your

drawing and I want you to have fun with

it see that see how I'm shading the side

just like that I'm not going to fill it

in all the

way there we

go leaving this highlight right here now

let's color the tail

in right there we

go being a good friend is not always

easy it's hard for the rest of us to

think of Buddy leaving Happy Land but if

we are true friends friends we must be

understanding and allow buddy to follow

his dream I just hope buddy bear has

thought this through and that he's sure

it's the right thing for him okay let's

continue here's a very nice color for

the ball A nice bright yellow look at

that I call this Sunshine

yellow very

and I think I'll just take my red

crayon and make a

red stripe just like

that and we'll leave a little highlight

right

there and I'm going to use

blue for the platform that he's on look

at

that very

nice

okay look at that what color did you

choose oh I think Green's a nice color

I'm going to use green for the the

design that's on top on the outside of

the

platform and I think I will use green

for the

top there we

go look at that this colors look nice

together

go there we go don't worry about

finishing your drawing with papy you can

always finish your drawing

later that's a good time to add new and

imaginative

ideas I don't want you to feel rushed

there we

go I'm I'm going to I'm going to add

this yellow ochre it's called yellow

ochre this color and I'm going

to doesn't show up too good so I think

I'm going to use the same Brown let's

see what happens when we put the brown

right

over the yellow I guess it just makes a

golden color see

that it's fun to mix and match colors

and overlap color under other colors and

you should do a lot of

experimenting there we go look at

that all righty and I think I'll just

use my orange

cray for the ring look at

that and we'll just touch that

up there that looks colorful now let's

see your drawings great they're all

candidates for the Hall of frames I say

speaking of the Hall of Frames let's go

now wow this sure perks me up just look

really thought about what you said you

know about being true to myself and

doing what I really want to do and I

realize that the circus life is not for

me I love my friends in papy land too

much and I can make the girls and boys

Happy by being part of papy land and and

there's more buddy yep even if you can

eat all the honey you want at the circus

no honey is better than the honey in

papy

a you should know buddy well I'm glad

you're back and that you're happy with

your decision to stay in papy land yep

planning on using the cabin later

tonight why Elmer well now that Buddy's

back at his place I need a place to hold

about 150 people for a party I

planned I guess this is a good time to
