picnic one day hump wanted to go to the

park but his mom was very busy she had

to put the laundry in the washing

machine

and take out the

rubbish and work on the

computer and then it was lunchtime

lunchtime but I wanted to go to the park

I've got an idea humph why don't we have

a picnic we can eat our lunch in the

park humph had never had a picnic before

but eating in the park sounded fun

so Mom and hump made some cheese

sandwiches and Mom put some tiny

tomatoes in a little

bag and humph chose two

bananas and Mom put everything into

hump's cow-shaped ruck sack to take to

the park I like

bananas I think you like everything

we're taking on our picnic hump can I

carry my cow Rock sack okay but be

careful we don't want our lunch to get

squashed hump liked to carry things by

himself so he carried his cow ruck sack

on his back and Mom carried a blanket

under her arm why are you bringing a

blanket Mom are we going to sleep in the

park too no humph the blanket is going

to be our table silly mom a planky can't

be a

table hump liked listening to the sound

of the drinks slushing about but his

Rock sack was a little bit heavy with

all the lunch in

lunch to get

squashed shall I carry the picnic now no

I want to carry it by myself I can carry

it better on my

front so hump carried his cow Rock sack

on his front but it was still heavy that

way too now we need to find a nice place

on the grass to have our picnic I can

find a

place and it wasn't very easy to run

with a cow Rock sack full of picnic on

your

front be careful humph we don't want our

lunch to get squashed

oh oops it was too late hump fell over

right on top of his cow ruck sack never

mind maybe this is a good place to have

our picnic

actually and here's our

table silly Mom that's not a table it's

too flat but it can be a kind of table

for a picnic we can sit on it and eat

our lunch

furry things don't sit on tables we sit

on chairs come on Lon let's be

we're having a picnic do you want to see

oops it was too late hump had sat down

right on top of his cow ruck sack never

mind Mom started to bring out the picnic

but it didn't look like it did when it

went into the Rock sack the bananas were

coming out of their

skin and the tomatoes had tomato juice

all over

them and the cheese sandwiches were all

funny

shapes everything looks

mushy I'm having my lunch at home

goodbye never mind hump I'm sure our

picnic will taste just is nice

squashed but hump wasn't so sure he had

never eaten a funny shaped cheese

sandwich before it didn't really look

like a cheese sandwich was supposed to

but it still smelled like a cheese

sandwich and it still tasted like a

cheese sandwich and mom was already

eating

one maybe squashed sandwiches weren't so

bad after all

so hump ate his squashed

sandwich and his squashed tiny

tomatoes and his squashed banana

too my hands are all sticky that's okay

I have a wet thing to clean you

up I like picnics so do I can I go and

play of course you can can and when the

picnic was over hump ran off to play in

the

park and Mom lay down on the flat table

to watch him
