what time is it now

Once Upon a Time

[Music]

Wally lived in an Old Mill on top of

Windy Hill

every morning he would watch the great

sails of the windmill turn slowly around

and listen to the large Stones inside

the mill grinding the grain into flour

but one morning something changed

instead of the sound of the creaking

Timbers as the great sails Whirled above

his head all he heard was the sound of

two little sparrows chattering in the

bushes

no wind no wind they called out to Wally

no wind today

Wally could not believe his ears but

this is Wendy Hill he said there's

always wind on Windy Hill

but not today Wally ran inside the mill

the great stones that were usually

grinding together and making the grain

into flower were still

as statues nothing moved but what about

the grain Wally said to himself and he

began to run around in a panic if there

is no grain there can be no bread and if

there's no bread there will be no toast

said The Sparrows who had now hopped

unto the windowsill to see what Wally

would do next no toast no toast they

cried

this had never happened before never

what was he going to do now

maybe he could blow the sails around he

thought to himself no they were too big

maybe if all his friends helped him to

huff and puff

but he didn't think that would work

either and besides he had a lot of

friends but not that many if I don't get

that grain made into flour he said to

himself glumly I won't have any friends

at all

and the two little sparrows who were

watching from the bushes saw a tear run

down the Miller's rosy red cheek and

drop into the dusty ground below

he's very upset whispered one of The

Sparrows it's because there's no flower

said the other one and no flower means

no bread

and no bread means no toast said the

other and no toast means no crumbs left

out in the garden for the two of us they

both said together

something must be done and they both

quickly fluttered and flapped from tree

to tree in the nearby Woods to tell the

other birds all about it

trouble at the Mill they cried out

together trouble at the Mill all the

birds gathered around to listen to the

Sparrow's sad tale then the jackdaw who

was the smartest bird in the forest had

a great idea

follow me he said all of you and do

exactly what I do

and with that he flew off and headed for

Wally's Mill with all the other birds

flapping and fluttering behind him

back at the Mill Wally was astonished to

see a great flock of birds circling in

the air above his head he watched with

amazement as the jacked off flew down

and settled on the Top Sail which Stood

Still in silent against the gray winter

sky

then all the other birds landed beside

the jackdaw and Wally watched as the

great sail began to drop under their

weight and move slowly downwards

it's moving Wally shouted excitedly it's

moving without the wind

and once one sale was on the move the

jacked off flew onto the next one until

it started moving and then on to the

next and then the next

until the windmill sails were all

turning faster and faster under the

weight of the birds

and now the great stones will start

grinding shouted Wally and he began to

feed the grain between the stones to

make the flower

the two little sparrows flooded around

the entrance to the mill looking in and

chattering excitedly

and now there will be flower they said

as they watched Wally merrily get back

to work and if there's flour there will

be bread and if there's bread there will

be toast and if there's toast there will

be crumbs said The Sparrows happily

crumbs crumbs crumbs repeated all the

other birds as the sails of Wally's

windmill turned steadily once again

around and around right at the very top

of Windy Hill
