Butterflies it was a beautiful sunny day

and Connie was up very early

she set off into the woods in search of

new adventures

well here I am what's the matter listen

Connie little Bella is stuck in a

spider's web can you help me get her out

she saw the little butterfly

so Connie went round and poked her nose

into the web she gave it a pull and the

butterfly was free

oh Connie how can I ever thank you it

was nothing really but why are you here

in the woods we really like it here

Connie and we thought it would be nice

to come and live here we're looking for

a nice tree one with lots and lots of

lovely blossom i can help you i know

where there's a tree with lots of

blossom

connie was very

happy she was taking the butterflies to

the tree with the prettiest blossom in

the woods she was sure they would like

it after walking a long long way they

came to a tree covered in beautiful blue

blossoms

the blossom smells wonderful oh you were

right Connie this is the best tree in

the Oh

it's ever so noisy here i don't think we

can live in this tree

poor Connie hadn't realized that the

tree was already the home of a very busy

woodpecker

but Connie wouldn't give up and she

carried on looking for a tree where the

butterflies could

live and beside the lake they found

another tree whose blossom was even

prettier than the last one

oh what a beautiful tree suddenly they

saw lots of ants hurrying down the tree

trunk

"oh dear we can't live in this tree

either there are ants living here

already what a pity so it looks like we

won't be moving to the woods after all."

Poor Connie she hadn't realized that the

ants collected leaves from that tree

"please say you'll stay in the woods

we'd love to stay here but it looks like

all the trees with blossom are already

taken thanks for your help anyway Connie

we'll come and visit you goodbye

connie was sad to see them go but

suddenly ah Connie saw an old tree that

had no blossom at all

i really wish those two little

butterflies would come and live in my

branches oh so why didn't you invite

them because I'm sure they wouldn't want

to i mean after all I'm not much to look

at well looks aren't everything you know

i can tell that you're a very nice tree

really connie had made the tree so happy

that he smiled and suddenly sprouted two

blossoms

what lovely blossoms my butterfly

friends have to come and see this

connie went looking for the butterflies

she looked everywhere but she couldn't

find them

just then a bright green dragonfly came

buzzing by and Connie asked if she could

help find the butterflies

don't worry Connie leave it to me i'll

go and get them tell them to come and

find

as Connie hurried back to the tree hey

Mr tree the butterflies will be coming

to see you very soon i would be so happy

if they came to live with me but maybe

they won't like me and they'll fly away

the dragonfly had found the butterflies

and they came to look at the

tree but when they saw it they said "I'm

sorry but we couldn't live in an old

tree like that it only has two flowers i

know I'm not pretty but if you came to

live with me I'm sure we would be very

happy together

when the butterflies saw how

good-hearted the tree was they decided

to stay and live with

him and the tree was so happy that

leaves and blossom grew on all his

branches oh how wonderful he's covered

all over in lovely red blossom i've

never seen such beautiful blossom in all

my life

good the tree had blossomed with

happiness and now it knew it would never

be lonely

again that night Connie smiled as she

went to sleep she had learned that when

someone feels happy inside their

happiness shines out and makes them

beautiful sweet dreams Connie
