Connie and the

turtle early one morning patch called at

Connie's house to see if she wanted to

come out and

play Connie

Connie hey patch do you see that

tortoise over there

hello tortoise I've never seen you

before where' you live I'm a turtle not

a tortoise and I live in the sea oh so

what are you doing in the woods I've

just been visiting a friend of mine who

lives in the lake where are you going

now Mrs Turtle to the beach my babies

are about to hatch there Connie couldn't

understand why the turtle's eggs would

hatch on the beach so she decided to

follow her and find

out but if you live in the sea why will

your eggs hatch on the beach cuz I laid

them there and buried them in the sand

to keep them safe and now I have to

hurry my babies are going to be hatching

Connie Connie told the turtle that the

river flowed to the Sea so she could

swim there much faster than walking but

I'm used to swimming in the sea I've

never swam in a river before Mrs Turtle

don't worry about that

good work Mr woodpecker you're the best

boat maker in the

world the Woodpecker worked very quickly

and the boat was soon

ready ribit

Ribbit the turtle set off floating down

the river

everything was going well until oh no

it's a

[Music]

rock Mrs toddler are you

okay oh sure I'm fine thanks to my tough

shell But Connie had another idea that

would help the turtle to travel

faster if you can keep this up we'll be

at the beach in no

time then they came to a very Rocky bit

of ground the turtle was bumped up and

down so much she started to feel dizzy

stop Connie stop

oh her head was going round and

round she thought she would never see

her baby's hatch we'll get you there in

time Mrs Turtle you'll see just get on

back oh Connie you're doing really well

look there we're nearly at the beach

[Music]

at last look we made

it right here are my eggs

[Music]

I'm so relieved that we got here in time

my eggs haven't hatched

yet just as the turtle reached the pilot

the eggs started to wobble and

crack they all watched as the eggs

started to

hatch suddenly the first baby turbet

popped out its head oh look isn't it

cute what a pretty little creature it's

a miniature turtle I'm so happy to see

my babies hatching

Mommy a those little turtles really love

them Mommy now little ones the time has

come for us to swim out to seea so I

want you to go and get your flippers

wig the little turtles ran down into the

sea and paddled happily in the

water mother turtle said goodbye to

Connie and

Patch before we go I'd like to thank you

very much for your help now I can be

with my babies and look after

them then she joined her little ones in

the sea and away they swam

Oney that night Connie had a wonderful

dream she dreamt that the mother turtle

and her little ones were swimming out to

seea while the Silvery light of the Moon

sparkled on the waves goodbye Turtles
