party it was a bright fresh morning and

Connie woke up very early she had lots

to

do it was W's birthday and she was going

to organize a surprise party for him so

she set off to the woods to find her

friends hello Grouch hello

patch you did you remember that we're

organizing a party for W's birthday

It'll be such a surprise we going to

have a party we're going to have so much

fun

well I think parties are

[Music]

boring conning patch and Grouch

collected brightly colored blossoms as

decorations for Wally's Party

[Music]

and in no time at all the party

decorations were in place well I think

it looks beautiful oh yes all those

flowers make wonderful

decorations well I don't like

flowers hello everybody then Wally

appeared goodness look at all those

flowers is somebody having a party or

something um sort of Wally it's display

for a spring flower festival well it's

not really complete unless you have a

full moonflower too it grows a long way

from here up on top of a mountain just

then Connie had an idea that would get

Wally out of the way until his birthday

party was ready hey wle why don't you go

and pick us one of those beautiful

flowers okay but the place where it

growes miles away and it'll take hours

to get there excellent off you go and

find it and we'll be waiting here for

you when you get

back here we nearly found out about the

[Music]

surprise so while Wally went off to look

for the flower Connie and her friends

collected lots of different kinds of

fruit to eat at the party

[Music]

after a long climb Wally reached the

place in the mountains where the white

flower

grew I'm in like I found the flower much

quicker than I

expected just then fast feather the

eagle turned

up hello what are you doing up here on

the mountain I came to pick that white

flower so I can show it to my friends

you've come a long way pick the flower

and I'll give you a lift down to the

[Music]

forest this will be a big surprise for

my friends I'll get back much quicker

than they

thought with the flowers and the fruit

Wally's surprise party was is almost

ready there's only one thing missing

what we need now is some party

music oh yes if we have music we'll be

able to dance then come with me I know

just the place to find

some but just after Connie and her

friends had left Wally got back and saw

the baskets full of

fruit

y now Wally was a rather greedy bird he

didn't know that the fruit was for his

own party and he started to eat it all

[Music]

up meanwhile Connie led her friends to a

pile of old leaves in the meadow

underneath she had hidden a musical

instrument

wow so that thing makes music yes I

found it in the meadow and I hid it here

to keep it safe if you press the button

it lovely music

listen and Connie patch and Grouch liked

the music so much that they started to

dance and jump

[Music]

around but when Connie and her friends

got back they were amazed to see that

all the baskets were

[Music]

empty oh somebody's eating not the fruit

we collected so that be no surprise poor

old

Wally well all that hard work for

nothing just then Connie spotted Wally

look who it is I think I know who ate

all the fruit look it's

[Music]

hello you guys I've been waiting for you

I've got the flower from the top of the

mountain don't you think it's lovely yes

beautiful perfect for your birthday

party my birthday party surprise happy

birthday my birthday oh great this is

fantastic have you got me a present you

did have a present but you've eaten it

already

now I think it's time to put on some

music and

dance Connie and her friends danced and

danced and they all agreed that it was

the best birthday party they ever been
