- Oh, well, you blow into it
and you move that slide thing
and it makes beautiful music.

I picked up around the galaxy.

- I'm learning to play the trumpet.
I blow into this mouthpiece
and move these valves with my fingers.
It's fun, but it takes a lot of practice.

- Hey, that was pretty good.
- It truly Dooley was.
Oh, Nick, I'd love to see you in the parade.
But what exactly is a parade?
- It's like a big show,
but everyone marches down the street.
- There are all kinds of parades,
but most of them have flags and marching bands
like the one I'm in.
(cymbals clang) (all exclaim)
- Whoops, these symbols are loud.
I have some at home that I made out of trash can lids.
- Hey, now that's an idea.
Why don't we make some instruments
and put on our own parade?
- Cool!
- Yeah.
- Let's do it!
- I'll be up front twirling the baton.
- No, I think I should be leading with my trumpet.
- But in a real parade the twirlers go first.
- Kayla, I'm the one who's been in the real parades.

I put them in these cups and taped the cups together.

And I'm making my own horn out of this paper towel roll.

I have a Dooley-riffic flag for the parade.

- Ooh. That's gonna look great on the float I made.
(chuckles) Vehicles are my specialty.
- I made a flag, too.
I used my favorite color: Pink.
- Kayla, Dooley already has his flag
and he's marching in front.
We don't need your flag.
- Dooley and I can take turns.
My flag's nice, too.

- Kayla and Nick both have very strong ideas
about what they want.
