Today my friends are going to teach Marty and I,

a game with a teacup, a ball, and a bat.

I wonder what it is.

I like to play games on my planet too,

but your Earth games are truly, Dooley, different.

Do you like to try different things?

I can't wait to play tea ball.

- (chuckles) Another strange Earth game.

I hope the tea isn't stew pot,

(machine beeping) I mean, (bell dings) too hot.

- C'mon let's play.

- Is it set up?

- Let's go.

- Dooley, what's this?

- Well leapin' light years, Nick.

It's tea ball.

M.A.R.T.I.E. and I set everything up.

(grunts with each step)

See, we put the cups in the saucers,

on these nice placements.

- We didn't know what to do with the bat you gave us,

so I hung it upside down.

That's what bats do, isn't it?

(Dooley humming)

- Cosmic comets, I've got the ball.

So, how do you play tea ball?

(children laughing)

- Tea ball?

Did you think we were having a tea party?

That's funny.

- In T-ball, you use the bat to hit the ball off the tee.

- These aren't place mats, they're bases.

You're supposed to run around them.

- And everyone else tries to catch the ball you hit.

- Oh, M.A.R.T.I.E., I think we made a froozle.

- Dooley, didn't you say that a froozle meant a mistake?

(sad music) - Yeah.

It's a truly, Dooley, dumb mistake, ugh.

- We seem to make a lot of those.

It isn't cheesy,

(beeping sounds) I mean,

easy being from another planet.

- Mistakes aren't dumb, you guys.

We all learn by making mistakes.

- We didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

- We'd be the aliens if we were on your planet.

We'd make all kinds of mistakes and you'd laugh at us too.

- Yeah, and friends can laugh at their differences.

- Yeah, not everything about us is different.

You guys like to learn, and laugh, and play,

and we do too.

- That's right, Dooley.

Because people are the same and they're different,

but no two people

(Dooley and M.A.R.T.I.E. clear their throats)

or aliens, are exactly the same.

And that's okay.

- Oh, well it's just that you have bad eyes.

My eyes are beautiful.

They're just different than yours.

- Yes, your eyes are different.

That's what I meant.

- Hm, that's not what you said, huh.

- Oh, but, but Zoom.

Uh oh, I think I made a foozle.

- How do you do all?

- [Children] Hey Mrs. Z.

- We were teaching Dooley and M.A.R.T.I.E.

how to play T-ball.

- Well Dooley, aren't you lucky to travel all the way

to Earth and learn so many new and different things.

(Dooley giggles)

- I truly, Dooley am Mrs. Z,

but sometimes being different isn't easy.

- Oh, don't I know it.

When I was a little girl,

I wanted to be like everyone else more than anything.

- But you were different?

- I was what they called a dreamer.

I used to sit by myself,

and dream about what I could be when I grew up.

- Did anybody laugh at you?

- Sometimes people laugh unkindly

at things they don't understand,

but I still like being a dreamer,

because I can go anywhere and be anything in my dreams.

- [Dr. Arvid] They sure are.

Drake here is a duck and Henny here is a chicken.

- [Maxx] They look so different.

- [Dr. Arvid] Well, you know, even though they're birds,

they're still very different from each other.

- Like, ducks can fly.

- [Dr. Arvid] That's right.

But, you know, Henny's wings are too short

to let her fly far, so she likes to stay on the ground.

- [M.A.R.T.I.E] Ooh, they're different colors, too.

- Don't ducks swim?

- [Dr. Arvid] They sure do, Chris.

And you know what, they love the water,

but hens, they prefer dry land.

- Wow, they're so different.

- But how were these birds a game Dr. Arvid?

(machine beeping) I mean, how are they the same?

- [Dr. Arvid] Okay.

- Well since Drake and Henny here are both birds,

that means they both have wings, feathers, and beaks.

- Do they both lay eggs, too?

- They sure do.

And you know, that's another way in which they're the same.

- Well, cosmic comets.

because you teach us about all different kinds of animals.

- [M.A.R.T.I.E] I can't believe the same kinds of things

can be so different.

Ever since my ship landed here on Earth,

I've learned lots about your planet.

Today, I learned that we're all different,

but we're all the same too.

M.A.R.T.I.E. and I were embarrassed

because we had some different ideas about T-ball,

but friends can laugh at their differences

and learn from them.

Mrs. Z brought us the letter D and told us that sometimes

people laugh at something different,

but it's only because they don't understand it yet.

Dr. Arvid brought a duck and the chicken to visit.

And we learned even the same kinds of animals

can look very different.

Our Earth friends made M.A.R.T.I.E. and I laugh,

by pretending to be aliens.

We learned we may be different in some ways,

but the most important thing, is we're all good friends.
