Some strange things have been happening in my space ship.

M.A.R.T.I.E thinks it might be hunted by ghost.

I think that maybe my friends are having some fun with us.

- You'd think you saw a ghost!

- Dooley's spaceship might be haunted.

- Haunted?

- Yeah. M.A.R.T.I.E thinks the space ship is haunted

because we heard some strange sounds.

- And things are movin' around all by themselves.

- Oh,

I think you're just spooking yourselves.

I'm sure there's a simple explanation for what's happening.

- Right,

There are no ghosts.

Just some spooky sounds

and things moving around all by themselves.

But no ghost though.

Right?

- What kind of strange sound did you hear?

- Well, It was a rumbly creaky kind of sound.

- A Spooky Sound!

- The ship could be haunted

and a picture moved all by itself?

- Right off the wall.

- Yep. That sounds like a ghost all right.

- Oh, it does?

- Hey, what's that big, ugly, horrible thing

with big teeth right behind you?

- Zoom, there's nothing behind me, Is there?

- You're not even going to look?

- I told you, you can't scare me Zoom.

Now, do you want to play hide and seek or not?

- Howdie Dooley do everyone?

- Mrs. Z.

- Oh Mrs. Z, We're so glad you're here.

- What's going on here?

You all look as white as ghosts.

- Mrs. Z, Dooley spaceship is haunted.

- By ghosts.

- What's all this about ghosts and haunting?

- [Dooley] Oh, Mrs. Z, It's so scary!

First, there were these strange sounds from nowhere

and then a picture fell right off the wall all by itself.

Well, my grandfather always told me, they're usually

perfectly normal explanations for mysterious happenings.

- Do you really think so Mrs. Z?

- Why? Sure!

Sometimes when we don't understand something

it can be a little frightening until

we learned more about it.

- I wish we knew more

about what's going on here in the spaceship.

- Well, maybe I can help change those scary thoughts

into fun ones.

- How Mrs. Z?

- I have just the joke.

What is the first thing

- I don't know Mrs. Z!

which is how we'll feel if we find out it's not.

- I'm sure you will. Remember, ghosts aren't real.

- Ooh. I truly Dooley hope you're right, Mrs. Z.

It's easy to spook ourselves when strange things happen

but there's usually a simple explanation.

and scary bats and horrible monsters right behind you?

(Screaming)

- Zoom, You're being silly.

There's no such thing as ghosts and monsters.

- There aren't?

- No. So why would I be scared of them if they aren't real?

- Yes, but uh, but oh, how do you know?

- Maybe there's a green, furry, giant monster

sneaking up on you right now?

(Beeping)

- These are fun facts about scary things.

- Owls sleep all day and play all night.

- Elephants are not always scared of mice.

- When the house makes creeks at night,

it's just getting comfy in the ground.

- I think I found your ghost Dooley.

- Oh, where?

- I don't want to see him

take him away, take him away!

- Do you remember what I said about strange things

having very simple answers?

- Uh, yeah.

- Well I have the explanation.

- We really have them spooked now.

- This is so much fun!

(Screaming)

That wasn't funny.

- You scared us.

- Yeah. Well now you know how it feels.

- We were really scared

- Yeah sure,

- Well, it wasn't nice to scare your friends!

isn't having real fun.

Well, it was fun for you to scare Dooley

and M.A.R.T.I.E and the girls

but it wasn't fun for them.

Now, is that having fun with your friends or is that just

playing tricks on them?

- I guess it's just playing tricks.

- We're sorry.

Your ship isn't really haunted Dooley.

It was just us fooling around.

- Oh, it's okay.

It was kind of fun being spooked.

- I'm just glad there's no such thing as ghosts after all.

- Yeah. But if there were we'd make pretty good ones.

(Gasps)

- Well, it looks like you have done a pretty good job

of spooking yourselves with all this haunting!

- I've had enough ghosts for one day.

When you feel frightened

it's a good idea to talk to someone about it.

- Like your mom and dad.

- Exactly. They can help you understand what's scaring you.

A lot of times it's just your imagination.

Ever since my ship landed here on earth

I've learned lots about your planet.

Today was full of the adventure.

First we heard strange sounds

and thought the spaceship might be hunted.

Mrs. Z brought us the letter H

and tried to calm this down by telling us jokes and riddles.

But then even stranger things began to happen

And we thought we saw a real ghost.

Then we discovered who the real ghost were.

And we all learned that playing tricks on friends

isn't any fun unless everyone's included.

We learned that sometimes our imaginations get

out of control and we can scare ourselves.

But if we remember the magic words, it's only make believe,

we can make scary thoughts disappear!
