Something I learned in Boy Scouts. Knot tying.

There!

Uh, well, not exactly. I flunked Tenderfoot.

Good grief, what can I say?

'He's passing everybody. But what about Dynomutt?'

Hey, I untied my tying.

'But the way Huck is racing, he looks like a shoo-in to win.'

Nothing to it.

'With only feet to go, Orful has pulled ahead..'

whoosh

'Whoops!'

'Orful has been bounced out of the first slot while Huck Hound'

'bounces across the finish line for a 25-point victory.'

'Now, Dynomutt wheels in second for 15 points'

'while Orful is now in the third place spot.'

[all cheering]

[all booing]

[hissing]

'Now, at the half'

'this is how it stacks up for our super sports.'

'while the Scoobies' second place drops them'

'in the last position with thirty.'

Emerald Isle? Green?

'Welcome back to the final half'

'of today's Laff-A-Lympics action'

'taking place here and now in irresistible Ireland.'

'The first event will be'

'The Catch The Leprechaun's Pot Of Gold Contest.'

I missed.

[chuckling]

[male announcer] 'Then the Irish Green-To-Green Hole-In-One Golf Tournament'

'will be the concluding event.'

'But first recapping the first half scores.'

'We see the Yogi Yahooeys and the Really Rottens'

'are tied in first at 35 points'

'with the Scooby Doobies trailing with 30.'

'Now, let's drop down to the scene'

'of the Catch The Leprechaun Contest.'

Catching a leprechaun?

Ridiculous.

Top of the morning, laddies.

My name's Casey the leprechaun.

Ha! If you're a real leprechaun, I'm a pink butterfly.

[Casey] 'Begorra, so you say.'

[zapping]

[flapping]

Okay, I said it and I'm sorry.

Now, knock off the parlor tricks.

I've got a Catch The Leprechaun Contest to report.

Sure, and I will. But nobody has ever caught me yet.

[laughing]

pop

[both screaming]

[male announcer] 'Now, let's meet our contestants who will try'

'for the leprechaun's pot of gold.'

'For the Yogis, it will be Grape Ape.'

Grape Ape. Grape Ape.

[crowd cheering]

[Casey laughing]

[all cheering]

[male announcer] 'Dirty and Dastardly Dalton will represent the Rottens.'

If that little critter's got gold, he's good as got by us.

[all cheering]

[male announcer] 'And for the Scoobies, it's the Blue Falcon.'

Actually it seems unfair to catch such a tiny little fellow.

[all cheering]

Pay attention, this is your basic six-inch

winged and magic leprechaun.

Now, all you have to do is catch the little pest

and borrow his pot of gold to win.

Oye! You mean this gold?

[chuckling]

Well, there he goes. The little rascal. So go get him.

First one to bring him in is the winner.

[chuckling]

[male announcer] 'The contest is on its way, folks.'

[whistle blowing]

'And it should be a doozy.'

[laughing]

'Our leprechaun is really enjoying the contest, folks.'

'But how will he stand up to the 40-foot Grape Ape'

'with a special leprechaun-catching net?'

Begorra. That's easy! I won't!

So, me big purple bucko, you'd be trying to net me?

Uh? Grape Ape, Grape Ape.

Well, here's your net.

Next time pick on somebody your own size.

Huh?

Imagine, a mere anyone thinking they could catch me.

A myth!

[laughing]

- Begorra! I've been caught. - That's right, leprechaun.

But I mean you no harm. It's only a game.

Well, begging your pardon, sir.

But I am Huff.

You must be looking for Mite, me twin brother, you see.

[male announcer] 'Attention, athletes.'

'Because this event has proven to be somewhat unique'

'if not impossible, the winner, if there is one'

'will be awarded a 25-point bonus.'

[all cheering]

Hot dog! Just when we got our leprechaun trap all set.

When that critter gets a whiff of this shamrock juice

it'll lure him smack into our ambush.

All set, Dalton.

Turr lure lug..

Begorra!

[sniffs]

It's essence of shamrocks.

Me favorite scent.

[humming]

[male announcer] 'The leprechaun is defenseless'

'because he's too overwhelmed by the shamrock aroma.'

[Casey] Aye yea yea yea..

Grape Ape, we've got to save the leprechaun

and the Rottens from themselves.

Grape Ape, Grape Ape.

If they steal the leprechaun's gold

they'll give sports a bad name.

So, we've got to stop them.

Okey-doke. Grape Ape, Grape Ape.

Swell. Now, here's my plan.

Get ready, Rottens.

Now, we have to trap a purple ape

Blue Falcon and the teeny greenie.

No problem, Dread Baron. We'll catch the leprechaun.

And this 50-foot hole trap will trap the chimp.

Why, why, The Great Fondoo will use my magic

to cage the big blue bird hero.

Waw.

Leave the gold to me.

[laughing]

Uh-oh. Here comes the leprechaun.

'Not fast enough.'

Hold it, Rottens. Your little game is over.

[mumbling]

We may have lost the contest, mighty Grape

but at least we saved the Rottens from themselves.

Good. Grape Ape, Grape Ape.

Good, me foot!

You disrupt me peace ripping up the old sod.

You ruined me shamrocks

besides trying to snitch me gold.

Correction, little friend, we not only saved you

but we only wanted to borrow your gold for the contest.

[Casey] Borrow?

Well, now, for ten percent interest

you got yourself a deal.

[indistinct chattering]

We are here at the finish line

but there's no sign of our athletes.

Naturally, what'd you expect? A magic miracle?

Negative!

But there it is.

And our winners.

[male announcer] 'Yes, folks, that's the game.'

'And it looks like a tie between Grape Ape and Blue Falcon'

[all cheering]

'Now, a look at the scoreboard'

'shows the winning tie, puts the Yogis at 60'

'Notice how he studies the ball'

'the greens, the wind speed, everything.'

[gibberish]

You can do it, Cavie.

'checks if the fairway is clear'

'but this will be a tough shot.'

Maybe I can help.
