guest 8-year-old twin girl pilots twin

girl pilots what do they fly those model

airplanes

a real plane they're flying all the way

across America really that sounds

remarkable i'd like to meet them sure

thing so I have an idea that I bet

you're going to love try me we thought

we'd research other world records that

have been set by children and include

them in the show you're right i do love

across America with her dad but when we

say they're going to fly we don't mean

as passengers we mean as pilots you're

kidding 8-year-olds can't fly planes you

like the best that's ever been done in a

category i have no idea what you are

talking about here's an example 60

students got together and made a chain

of paper that was

400,000 pieces it was 37 miles long wow

and that's a world record cuz nobody's

ever made a longer one i see what's next

this is a neat record 40,000 kids came

to the Manatee Florida Easter egg hunt

wow that's a lot of kids i hope they had

a lot of eggs let's see yeah they had

120,000 i wonder how many chickens it

took to lay that many eggs that's a good

question Billy if each chicken gave two

eggs and that means that there were

60,000 chickens that's a lot of clog

I found some neat aeronautical records

what a

nautical nautical it's aeronautical

Billy and it means anything that has to

do with aircraft or air travel oh I get

it it says here that the youngest pilot

to pass the pilot's test in the military

was an English boy that was 15 years and

5 months old and it says here that a guy

threw a paper airplane out of a 10story

window and it flew 1 and 1/2 miles

that's amazing what I think's amazing is

all the neat stuff in books

the thing is standing by what good cue

the host and this next song is about a

very unusual thing you know that kind of

reminds me of another unusual thing and

just what might that be the largest

chocolate chip cookie ever

made it was so big it couldn't fit into

our studio it had 4 billion chocolate

chips in it how did they get rid of it

adventures of a very nice man who can't

while I was walking down the beach one

bright and sunny day I saw a great big

wooden box of floating in the bay i

pulled it in and opened it up much to my

surprise wo I discovered it right before

eyes i picked it up and ran to town as

happy as a king i took it to a guy I

knew would buy most anything but this is

what he hollered at me as I walked in

his shop get out of here before I go

cop

i turned around and got right out

running for my life and then I took it

home with me to give it to my wife but

i wandered all around the town until I

chance to meet Fred the town policeman

who was walking on his feet he wasn't

scared of anything he was a big brave

man but when I saw him

ran i wonder for many years with my

voice i tried not to give it away to

anyone in the land they'd open and take

a look and this is when they say "Get

out of here and take it far away oh get

moral of the story is if you're out on

the beach and you should see a great big

box and it's within your reach don't

2,193 miles hour that record was set by

an

SR71A named Blackbird it looked like

this now kids the Blackbird's so fast

that when a pilot blinks he's flown over

the whole

city now that we're in an airborne kind

of mood let's go off to the wild blue

do you know what it's time for another

visit to Billy's information center the

first person to fly was Orville Wright

back in

1903 this is a model of the plane that

he built with his brother Wilbur it was

called the Flyer the first time Orville

flew his plane only went as high as the

walls of our set and it stayed up for 12

seconds if you count to 12 slowly that's

how long the first airplane flight

lasted the flyer got up to a top speed

of 30 mph

guess an aircraft in position aircraft

no one told me about an aircraft where's

the aircraft in the interview area oh

okay i do with all the curve ba*ls this

show throws me why not an aircraft in

are you today fine first of all what is

this this is an

ultralight and um supposed to have wings

but we couldn't fit them in the studio

and it has everything like a real plane

except it's not that big oh how come

there are blocks on the petals my

sister's not big enough to reach the

pedals can you tell us about why you're

making this trip to raise awareness for

the Happy Gel's Children's Foundation

when did you begin to fly december of

last year is it hard to fly not

really hard part about it is when you

land why is landing hard cuz you don't

want to go up too high you don't want to

go down too high or you might crash how

do you land you need to push down the

stick and then you pull up a little bit

so you don't hit the ground too hard and

then you push down a little bit more and

then you land

when you're in trouble does your dad

help you out uh-huh your dad always

flies with you uh-huh

so this trip you're making is it going

to be around the world or just cross

country we're going to start from Malibu

California and we're going to go to

Kittyhawk North Carolina where Orville

and Warright first flew 90 years ago wow

how long will the trip take you um it

would take about four or five days but

the way we're doing it it's going to

take about a month how long do you plan

to fly a day about 300 miles wow who's

that little friend over there this is

Altitude our

mascot does he bring you good luck

going to ask my dad to take me flying
