wrapped up into this
and we're on
a borrowed time already
if we're making gold.
And I'm gonna run this thing

I've stretched myself
more this summer
than I ever have before.
I still owe $1,000,000
on the tomcod.
Then I made a handshake deal
with my dad
to buy out the business
for $1,500,000.
[steve] simple five-page
contract.
[shawn] and I took over
the competition
by redesigning
the myrtle irene.
*bleep* shawn.
[shawn] which ended up
costing me about $500,000
more than I had planned on.
No one ever said taking over
nome would be cheap.
I designed her to produce
record-breaking numbers.
That's what I expect to see.

I put a lot of money on shawn,

when you go into
making a deal,
you have to understand
one thing.

Where you're giving away

clean-ups in the past,
we've been working
on this forever

It barely even computes
in my head.
And so like a part of me
is like really frustrated
but prospecting
and production combined
resulted in $4,000.
That has to inform you guys,
like, how much,
like, possibility
there is here.
It's, like,
it's only the beginning.
I mean, we just do this again,
you know,
in another few days,
that's like $8,000,
$10,000,
that's so much money.
I mean, we need as much money
as we can get but...
If I look at this
in dollar value,
it's over $2,000.
And what I want to happen is
that I want to be getting,
like,
tens or in hundreds of ounces.
I know how much gold
I'm finding,
I know how much
I'm struggling to, like,
kind of make this gold mining
sailboat operation work.
I know that I can get
a lot more gold
that I'm getting.
I've done that in the past
and I know that
I can do it again.
We have established
like everything
that we need
to have in place
to get these numbers
to go up.
Mmm-hmm.
That's true.
And now we just
need to go and get,
like, more dive days,
we can get more
of those days
and just crank it up.

for making all my
summer dreams come true.

working around the clock,

and get the boat ready
and go make some more.
We're gonna push it
to the bitter end.
