01x52 - The Return of the Acme Acres Zone

Post by bunniefuu »

And now I saw Miss Diamond.

You're traveling through that looming

middle ground between Pratt Falls and

Banner Hakes. You have unwittingly

stumbled into the return of the Acme

Anchor Zone.

This is Acme Acres, a vast

metropolis of 12 million bio-units and

nice place to live if you're like smog.

I'm a private eye. It's a tough job,

quousy hours, and little pay. But it's a

cool way to meet babes. Hit the door, her

toy.

You found it. Make yourself at home.

Thank you.

So you're a detective, a shameless, a

soup, a PI, a people. And you must

be a thesaurus. What can I do for you?

My droid is missing. I want you to find

it. OK, I'll take your case.

And the job?Yeah. Hold yourself

together, Han toy, and get in the door

for the lady.

My first move was to chip the word on the

street. Droids all over town with a skin.

I figured I could pick up some info at

the Hologram Arcade. And the

place is packed with inventive society.

Losers. Guys with a hanging curveball.

Pucky was a school pigeon who always had

his ear to the ground for hot thickness

to sell. Heya, Pucky. I

need some leaves in the runaway droid

caper. Know anything?Yeah,Yeah, the

toy thing, sure. Oh, the price of the

man, the castle, man.

A hundred simoleons, seems fair.

Any idea who's behind this fiendish plot?

Any clues to where they went?I clubbed

Acme, now let me play!

In happier times, the club La Acme was a

favorite watering hole for acme acres

elite. These days, it's way past it to

crime. A home for cyberpunks and

lumbaric junkies. The bodyguards were

pushers.

I hate the joint for once over.

This place was hotter than Chernobyl on a

Saturday night. I was looking for

info, and found a plus fit that looked

promising. I

smartly nudged my waiter.

Too bad about those bits and droids, huh

She shyly chewed on a strike of broccoli

from her confidence plate, and I seen

it dead. I've always been like catnip to

the ladies. She couldn't resist my

charms. That's why I got to take

advantage of

was?

I was dancing on air.

Suddenly, I had an overpowering urge

to connect.

When I came too, an angel was standing

over me. Hiya, buster. Say you've had a

tough night. Hey, what's going on?What's

the gag? It's no Gary Buster. All the

droids came out. You can quit the case

now. I noticed Seamus was a mess.

Here's your money, Seamus. The droids are

all okay. Well, I guess it's

... to no one.

So, our disguises did not fool you.

Now, you will have to be deleted.

We're taking over. People will be

our blade.

You don't think I came unarmed?Human

weapons cannot hurt dogs. That's why

I hack a computer virus!

Hope I didn't bug ya.

So, there's your door, Miss Bunny. But

how did you know they were droid through

the skies?

Real kids don't eat broccoli.

What is life?What slides

beyond this life?And where are

the people who are supposed to tell me

when I'm on camera?Perhaps

Hampton and Plucky will discover the

answers in the Acme Acre Zone.

Oh gosh, that's so... Can't we stop

Bluffy?Sure, Handbrain. We'll just use

the phone in that quaint country inn and

have our little fun dinner.

That looks like the office under those

cobwebs.

Another night, another dog.

It's a union job, no health plan. But you

need the health plan when you're already

dead. Mosh, the old inn's

been quiet lately. I'd love to scare up

some business.

Yeah?We just need to

use your phone to call home for a ride.

I'm afraid our home is dead.

You boys can't go back into that dreadful

storm. Why not stay to now?

Sure, why not?

The bell boy will take your bags.

This way, please.

Oh, which amusement park have I seen this

year?

You guys are lucky. You get the

presidential suite.

Huh

Got any threes?Goldfish.

All right, break it up, fellas. I need

the room. I got a couple of live ones

here. Well, come on, Abe. I hear there's

a party over at Grant's Coup.

Anything wrong?

Keep the change, my good man.

Just calm down and get ready for bed,

Annie.

AhYou're right, Plucky. I'm probably

imagining things. There's

no, Plucky. Wait, it's just the maid. I'll

turn down your bed, then.

I hate it when this

happens.

Wait a sec. Something is seriously wrong

here. There. That's

better.

Boo.

Wake me when it's over.

Oh, it's hitting gone. Well, it's been a

screen gone. No hard feelings, I hope.

You're leaving?Oh yeah, my

night is over. You see, I

don't work the graveyard shift here.

That's an entirely different union.

Ah, I'll be a nice guy, just as was.

Hop in, guys. I'll take you home.

Gee, when he said he'd pick us hope, I

didn't think he'd get his hope.

Submit it for your cruiso. A young

duckling on the verge of mallardhood. The

boundaries of his universe are limited

only by his imagination. But even he

can't imagine a future written in the

stars of the Acme Acre Zone.

This is the future. In some ways, the

year 2350 is quite a bit different from

our world today. And yet, there

are things that time cannot change.

Such as the need for great heroes.

And in the future, there is no hero

greater than... HOT

ROGERS!!!century. Oh, you're

my hero. I'm so glad you let me go on a

nicking with you. To think tonight. We?

I'm gonna be ducked on. He's a little

space to death. You're gonna be sorry.

You see, I'll hide in a space box, I'll

wash and wax your rocket, I'll mix your

power breakfast straight. All right,

already. Knock it off. How later

can you get?Let's

go. They're waiting for us at

headquarters.

Uh, good of you to come, Dodgers.

We're facing a crisis. Planets,

rockets, stars, objects of every

sort are all disappearing without a

trace. We believe we have located the

source of our problem somewhere on the

planet Mars. It's possible they

have built a matter transmogrifier and

are using it to suck up the entire

universe. A machine that can suck up

things without a trait?Oh, come now!

That's impossible! Yeah, it's impossible!

Okay, okay, so it's possible. I

don't know how they do it in other

galaxies, but around here, we don't go

around sucking up other people's

universes, or my name isn't... Duck

Dyers of the Bonnie Horse and a Half

Century! And here's your young Space

Caddock please!

Another three-point landing for Dun Dun

Years of the 24th and a Half

Century!

And you see your young elementary school

educated sidekick.

Now let's survey the situation, shall we?

Let's shall, D.D., let's shall.

Hmm, I don't see anything, just a few

rocks. Some critters, a matter

transmogrifier... A matter

transmogrifier?! Suffering bucket

as it is!

Ah, another successful

transformation. Yes. Isn't that

lovely, Marsha?Hmm

Yeah, it's been gone, Danielle. It's

just what I

needed. Oh, not their little game,When

will that Martian ever learn that the

universe is not his placing?Right! It's

not his placing! This calls for a

full frontal as*ault! But DD, old hero,

mind, that machine of theirs is mighty

dangerous! Yes, but their machine is

no match for my Axie Combat Pack.

Observe.

On this block, they can't be better if I

am grip for action. After all, I am

none other than... Duck Saunders! All

the funny boys and a half century!

Yes! Yes, I get it!

Now he's really done it! He's got my

dead girl! You can bet your life this is

not going to go unchallenged!

Hi, Duck Dodgers!Hereby

challenge you to work all one combat

automobile of honor at dog. What do you

say?

You guys are in!

That a boy, GB! I'm a good one, boy!

Yeah, let him have it! Muffin wanted at

me! What are you waiting for?Come on!

Smash him in the lush! Taste him in the

van, why don't ya?Bop him in the

princess! Just look in the little

bonzo! All right, all right Just give me

a chance, will ya?Sheesh! Anyway, this is

grown-up work. Do you kids scram, huh

Yes. Do please occupy yourselves in

some manner, hmmBoy, how do you

like that?I come over a hundred million

miles, and I do need to get to stick

around to the fray. You should make the

best of it! Let's go play!

Oh, all right. Either way.

Now, where were we?HmmOh, yeah.

The challenge is wrestling. Two falls out

of three. We played the Markless of

Tranceleroy rules. No digging, no

hitching below the nose, no biting, no

scratching!No stomping! No

coking! No injury to the eyes, and no

fair pulling that old gag about my

shoelaces being untied!

You didn't say I couldn't zap you, and

you-- Oh,

you little stinker! Where do I get my

hands off you?

Yes, there will always be a place for

heroes like duck doctors of the

Does anybody want to buy a slightly used

universe?
