This is an area
called the point.

Last trip out
we were way up here,



And this is where
the good water was

And this is where
we were catching fish.

Now we're all the way
back down here

About 20 miles above the point,
and the water's moved down here.

So it's just crazy how much
of a fluctuation there can be

Down here in the outer banks.

This fishery is unique
and constantly changing.

You got to pay attention
if you want to find the fish.

To make our best guess
of where to fish,

We look for a change
in water temperature,

Which occurs when the warm
currents and cool currents meet.

Add in a change
in bottom structure,

Like a steep drop-off,

And you got the perfect
feeding ground for bluefin.

But even if a spot looks good,
it doesn't guarantee a catch.

You've got to be ready
to chase that bite.

This year it's not so much
north versus south,

It's more or less whoever's
out fishing, you work with.

Guys that are out here,
I'm gonna work with,

Because they can help put me
on fish and help me make money.

Marissa: That's
the southern hospitality.

All the southerners will always
help get you on the meat.

We all work together.

Nick: I seen one bust,
but we never had a mark.

Marissa: Compared to up north,

Everyone's really
hush-hush and quiet.

No one tells anyone
where they're at,

It's definitely not the truth
where they're fishing at, so.

It's really neat that
people work together

To find the fish down here.

Tyler: We've been staying steady
in the top three for a while,

So hopefully we can follow
some good reports

And keep this momentum going.
