06x05 - Blood Feud

Post by bunniefuu »

Marciano: Get
ready back there.

Tyler: Hell, yeah!
Reed: We're on!

Narrator: On this
episode of wicked tuna.

John-michael: Come on, baby!

Narrator: Outer banks.

Jarrett: Come on, man!

Narrator: Off the
coast of north carolina,

north and south are
going head-to-head.

Banks: We can't have
these guys acting like
they own the place.

Narrator: But
with the quota
being caught up quickly,

one northern captain is
willing to try anything.

Marciano: Go, go, go, go!

Narrator: Even if it means
bringing on a southern mate.

Tyler: Let's go!

Narrator: Meanwhile
a brother-sister duo from
gloucester is riding herd over

the whole fleet.

[screams]

and there's a pair of local
brothers who see this as the
ultimate sibling rivalry.

Reed: You live for it,
but you hate it.

Joe: We're on!

Narrator: Is blood really
thicker than water?

Tyler: Oh.

John-michael:
Get some of that!

Narrator: Find out.

Banks: Watch this!
Reed: Oh, boy.

Narrator: On
wicked tuna outer banks.

Reed: Stress level, 20.

Narrator: For the
first time this season,

northern boat pinwheel
has taken the top spot in

the fleet with southerners
kahuna and rasta rocket

hot on their tail.

Meanwhile,
hot tuna, offshore outlaw,

and reel e' bugging languish
in the middle of the pack.

While gloucester's own,

falcon, struggles at the
bottom of the leaderboard.

Banks: Goodnight, bubba.
We're going fishing.

I will.
I love you.

Alright ben, ben.
Love you, buddy.

Been fishing out of these
waters for at least 30 years.

Crossing that bar
day in, day out.

Chasing these
silly fish around.

Wherever they go, we go.

You know, this game is really
hard on the family at home.

With a three and a
five-year-old, I think
they miss their daddy,

but we try to make up
for it in the downtime.

Reed: Let's get
this party started.

Banks: Reed and I
have been doing this
a long time together.

We almost think each
other's thoughts.

Reed: Show some
energy here, boys.

Banks: Aye-aye, captain!

I want reed's reputation,

my reputation,
wanchese in general, our
hometown to remain on top.

Reed: All systems go.

Banks: We can't
have these guys coming
down here and acting like

they own the place.

This is our back yard.

Being the top boat is
definitely a priority for us.

Reed: Gotta get trucking.

Banks: Here we go.

Tyler: Ready to
go fishing, mermy?

Marissa: I'm ready to go.

Tyler: Now, it's time
to put 'em in the boat.

Let's grab these lines
and get outta here.

We're actually in a really
good place right now.

Our last fish put us at
the top of the fleet for
the first time this season,

but kahuna's
nipping at our heels.

Time to go fishing.

We got like a
$300 lead at best,

and if he catches,
that puts him ahead of us.

And we don't wanna fall
behind of ranger reed.

We gotta get
out there and grind
because of the last time

we fished against each other.

I wanna beat reed, bad.

Reed: They think they're
gonna steam right in here and
start running our stuff over.

Tyler: What you
talking about, dude?

You know I know
how to play the game.

We're here last year.

Banks: You're
gonna get your a*s
beat doing that stuff.

Oh, man we gotta go.

Reed: All right, let's go.

It's frustrating that
tyler's ahead of us right now,

especially with
the quota being small.

Banks: You undone up there?

Reed: There's not a lot of
time to come ahead and knock
him right out of that spot.

Watch your fingers.

We've got a little
bit of a nasty inlet to
deal with this morning.

North wind, 25 to 30.

Always makes that
inlet especially nasty.

No, this is [bleep]
in front of us.

Pinhead, turn your
backlights off, dummy.

Reed [over radio]: Tyler,
cut your stern lights off.

Tyler: We're steaming out,
it's early in the
morning and, you know,

you know, generally
the practice is,

you know, we can
have our front lights on.

But I like my back
lights on too, so all the
boats that are behind me,

they're getting
blinded by my lights.

Reed [over radio]:
Thank you. Amateurs.

Tyler: If my lights
are blinding you,
then maybe don't be,

like, 10 feet off my stern.

I don't think it's my lights
that are bothering reed.

I think reed's definitely
getting nervous about getting
smoked by me and my sister.

Reed: Why is this
idiot slowing down for
the most crucial part?

Marissa: We made it.

Tyler: We made it.
We made it.

Reed: We'll show
that pinwheel.

We're gonna blow
his doors off.

Reed [over radio]:
Let me show you what
some horsepower looks like.

Tyler: Classic reed.

He uses me as his
guinea pig to get
out of the inlet safely,

and then he
blows by me with his
5,000-horsepower boat.

I think, he's trying
to send me a message.

The message is,
it's officially game on.

Marissa: We made it out.

Tyler: We don't have to
show off to prove ourselves.

I got a full head of hair.

Adam: Uh, we're headed
to the edge of the shelf
where it drops off.

We've been hearing
the bite's on at the
drop-off this morning.

We're hoping to get one
before the rest of the fleet
shows up, but until then.

That's our secret.
Secret spot.

Eric: I'm gonna go two
pinks because that's my
wife's favorite color.

First thing, our wives
asked us, "glad you're safe,
when's the check gonna hit?"

john-michael: That's true.

Yeah. We need to get paid.
Yup.

We got three fish
so far this season,

but with the fish
we've caught,

they've been kinda on the small
side or the payday hasn't been
as good as we hoped for.

We really need to
start turning things
around if we're going to

earn big money this season.

Hopefully tonight will give
us that edge that we need.

Adam: Marking 'em, dude.

Eric: I can tell
you now we're the only
ones fishing right now.

I guarantee you that.

John-michael: Oh, yeah.

Adam: Hey, eric,
there they are.

John-michael: We got,
you know, we got to get it
while we can while there still

is a quota.

It ain't much of one though.

Adam: Right here.

John-michael: But it's
better than nothing.

Adam: They're down there.

John-michael: I
can't hear him.

Adam: They're down
there right now.

Holy [bleep]!

Eric: Oh, we're on.

John-michael: Put it in gear.

Move this to the back.

Holy!
It's on fire!
Come on, baby!

Adam: Here we go.
Let's get him.

John-michael: It
feels like a decent fish.

He started off kind
of funny though.

Adam: Slow and steady.

The fish is gonna
come up quick, eric.

He's coming up.

John-michael: Swivel!
Adam: Leader.

John-michael: Swivel.
Adam: Keep him tight.

John-michael:
He went back down.
It's almost like a shark.

I see some type
of color on him.

Adam: What is it?

Eric: It's a bluefin,
but I don't know how big.

Adam: If it's not 73
inches we can't keep him.

Eric: How big is he?
Adam: Oh, he's close.

I don't know.
Crank him up, john.
I think he's big enough.

John-michael:
Swim up, swim up!

Don't hit that line.

Adam: Oh, my god!
John-michael: Swim up.

Harpoon. Harpoon.
Harpoon coming to get you.

Eric: All right.
Adam: Pull him on the deck.

Kick the door open.

John-michael: Move, chopper.

You got it?

Eric: I got him now.
Adam: One, two, three.

John-michael: Oh, yeah,
he's plenty big. Plenty big!

One, two, three.

Eric: Plenty big! Woo!

John-michael: Woo!
Eric: Yeah! Yes! Yes!
John-michael: Yeah!

I'm really stoked about
getting this fish because now
we can rub it in their face.

Yeah, we got one.

I think we're starting to get
in a groove now, you know.

Adam [over radio]:
Outlaw's got him on the rope.

Happy, happy.

Tj: Guy's getting bites, man.

Mike: Oh.

John-michael: Here,
measure him real quick.

Eric: 96, woo!

John-michael: 96.
Eric: Come on, adam. Let's go!

John-michael:
That's good. That's good.

Adam: How did we ever get
the idea that fish was small?

John-michael:
When he first come up,
he looked small.

Eric: John, lie
down beside him.

That's the classic
bluefin tuna pose.

John-michael:
This is a nice fish.

My baby.

Eric: Keep them
checks coming, baby.

Marciano: How was
that south span?

Man [over radio]:
Several boats went through
the southern span no problem.

Good morning.

Marciano: Yeah, good morning.

Thank you, thank you.

Okay, cool.

We started out this
season with some hope
and some promise.

But the last three trips,
we've come home empty-handed.

Joe and I need to
change something up.

So we added a third
member to the crew.

Travis: I'm travis brown,
and I'm the new mate on
the falcon.

Marciano: You never know
with the oregon inlet.

Travis: You go out
one channel, come back
in a different one.

Marciano: Right, right.

Travis: I've been fishing
down here in the outer banks
for like the past eight years.

A few years ago, I fished
on the pinwheel with
tyler out of gloucester.

Tyler: Yeah!

Travis: It's grabbing
like a real one!

Tyler: Dumping us.
I think it's a real one.

Travis: The lone ranger
going for his tuna fish.

It was an awesome experience,
but it just didn't
really work out between us.

Tyler [over radio]:
That's your opening.

Marciano: Tyler called
me and let me know travis
was looking for work.

And right now we could use
all the help we can get.

It's gonna be a huge
help having travis
and his knowledge for

this troll fishery.

That's the one thing
where joe and I struggle
a little, you know?

Travis: Dave's came
down here and struck
out a few times, so.

Whether it be fishing a
greenstick or trolling,
you know, I grew up doing

that stuff, so hopefully
I can kind of get them
dialed in on it, you know,

and boost their
confidence and we can
start catching some fish.

Well, that was good.

It wasn't hawaii 5-0
crossing the bar, so.

Marciano: Yeah.

Marissa: Just practicing
my cranking arm since
we can't get a bite.

Tyler: Right. That's exactly.

Marissa: We're just
gonna practice and keep
the muscle strength up.

Tyler: The bite's a little
slow this morning, but I
know we're gonna get one.

We're at the top of the
fleet right now and we're
gonna hang on for dear life.

We got the meredith
brothers on the kahuna
nipping at our backside and

they're good at this game.

But they haven't
faced the wrath of the
mclaughlin siblings.

Marissa: I'm getting
pretty jacked here again.

Reed: It's already taking
way longer than I was hoping.

Banks: We need a bite bad.

Reed: Oh, there's
a little mark.

The first one
I've seen all day.

Tyler: Beautiful
marks right here.

Nice little pack of twenty.

Banks: Try to keep it
straight for a second
so I can check it.

Reed: Shut up.

Tyler: Merm, what
number are we at?

Marissa: Six-two-eight-four.
Tyler: All right, reel it up.

Reed: We're close. Fifteen.

Reed: Come on, fish.

Tyler: We're on! Woo!
Yo, yo, yo merm!

Marissa: Down and tight.
Tyler: He's a big fish.

Oh, we're on!

Reed: Oh, [bleep].

Tyler: Get out of there.
I don't want you in there.

Let him run, let him run,
let him run.

This will hurt him.
Reel in the long rigger.

He ain't giving
up any time soon.

Tyler: I'll do it.
I'll do it. I'll do it.

Marissa: Whoa!
Tyler: Oh. Still there?

Tyler: Reel in
the long rigger.

He ain't giving
up any time soon.

Marissa: Tyler,
get right on the rod.

Tyler: All right. I'll do it.
I'll do it. I'll do it.

Marissa: You're
gonna lose him!

Tyler: It's fine,
keep doing it.

Oh, [bleep]!

Marissa: I told you!

I said to get
right on the rod.

Tyler: No, something happened.

Something broke, here.

Marissa: Live action
here on the pinwheel.

Tyler: Come on!
How is this happening?

Oh. Oh.
We needed that fish.

We need a fish this
trip to widen the gap
between us and kahuna.

Broke a knot.

Definitely had one
on there, merm.

When your lead's as small
as ours is right now,
every fish counts.

Broke the knot on
the jerry brown.

Reed: Oh, doggy.
Thank god, pinhead lost it.

Tyler: All right.
Good job, merm.

Marissa: Next bite
we're gonna get him.

Adam: Let's get
to the fish house.

While pinwheel and
kahuna are busy duking it out
for the top spot, we're gonna

sneak in and do some damage
while they're distracted.

Scott: That's a nice
one down there, huh?

Adam: Woo! Yeah, man.

Scott: Let's get him
up and check him out.

John-michael: Fatty
one right there, buddy.

What the buyer wants to
see is a fish with good oil,
the right amount of fat,

and a bright core sample.

That's what brings
the big bucks.

Adam: What do we got, scotty?

Scott: We got 412 pounds.
Want to check him out?

John-michael:
Yes, sir let's do it.

Eric: Yeah, let's do it.
Adam: Let's do it.

Scott: All right.
All right, guys.
Not too bad.

It's got some fat in it.

Adam: All right.

Scott: I see a
little discoloration.

Well, how about we
check out the core?

John-michael:
Come on, baby.
Oh, yeah.

Scott: A little bit cloudy.

I'll get you guys...

$16 a pound.

John-michael: All right.
We'll take that.

Adam: That'll work. Yeah.
Eric: I'll take 16 all day.

Adam: $6,500, that's
a good day's pay for
a long night's work.

Now, we just gotta
continue to land fish
just like this one and

we'll be doing all right.

Appreciate it.

Scott: No problem.
Good job.
All right, see you later.

Adam: Yeah.
Eric: Yeah. See ya.

Scott: Nice.
Adam: Take it easy.
Scott: You too.

John-michael:
We're in it to win it.

So I hope the crowd's ready
because we're coming for them.

Adam: Let's get back out
and get another one before
the quota disappears!

Bobby: Ah! Ah! Ah!

Brian: We've been catching
pretty steady this season,
but we're still hovering on

the bottom of the fleet.

If it wasn't for the falcon,
we'd be dead last.

So thank god for those guys.

We really gotta turn things
around and start catching some
real fish for some real money.

Bobby: When
morale gets low and the
fish just aren't biting,

I think a dance
party is just what we need

to get the blood
flowing and spirits up.

Reed: What's this
bobby bugging doing?

Tyler: He's pretty good.

Zack: Yoo!

Brian: Yo!
It's too loud, bro.
Hey, bobby!

Bobby: Of course, not
everybody feels the same way.

Brian: Too loud, man.
Blowing my [bleep] ears out.

We're better now.

Now, let's go find
these [bleep].

Come on, boys!
To the wolf pack.
Come on, now!

Jarrett: Any second.

Tj: Fishing's slow, but that
could change in 10 minutes.

That could change
in two hours.

As long as you're on scene,
you're in the game, so.

We've been struggling
over the last few trips and
desperately need to put some

meat on the deck.

The southern boats have
managed to knock us into
the middle of the pack,

and we need to
regain that top spot.

All we need right now
is some good marks under
the boat and a bent rod.

Something jumping
in front of us.

Mike: Jarrett said there was
a ton of dolphins around.

Jarrett: Huge
herd of dolphins.

Tj: I think we'll get a
bite in the two tones.

Jig that stick a little bit.

Jarrett: Oh!
Here he comes!

Mike: Is he there?
Jarrett: Come on, baby, bite!

Mike: We're on!
Tj: Got 'em on! Stick bite.

Zack: I think tj
just got him one.

Shane: Come on, baby!
Give us ours.

Daniel: We just need a bite.

Jarrett: Dude, that
tagline wrapped around
the radar thing.

Tj: Is he still there?

Jarrett: Feels like it.

Looks like it
hit the backdrop.

He's still there.

Tj: Get all the
stuff ready, bubby.

Mike: Yup.

Jarrett: Just got hit.

Tj: This is what it does.

It comes out of nowhere.

Jarrett: I wanna say he's
on one of the backdrops.

Hopefully, they're
not too tangled up.

Tj: This [bleep]
don't look good.

Mike: Come on, [bleep]!

Tj: The drops off the
greenstick mainline
get tangled up.

And if you untangle them wrong
or you cut the wrong line,
you could part your fish off.

Mike: Oh, boy. Hold on.

I'm gonna drop, should I
drop this in the water?

Tj: We've been so cold lately,
we can't let that happen.

What drop is that?

Mike: I don't know.
It was just.

Jarrett: That's the backdrop,
so he's on the red one.

Mike: It's the back one.
Take it off.

Tj: He's right there glowing.

Mike: Now, we'll
just focus on him.

Tj: Hold the harpoon for me.
Jarrett: He's coming up.
Tj: Keep it going.

Got him!

Mike: Right, left.
Tj: Nope, nope.
He's out! He's out!

Gaff him, bubby!
Come on, gaff him!

Mike: I got him.
Get a tail gaff.

Jarrett, right over
my left shoulder.

Tj: Get the rope.

Take that one out
if you can, bubby.

I got him.

Mike: Yeah, get
him with the tail.

All right!
We're going home, baby!
Woo!

Jarrett: Yeah!
Tj: Baby!
Jarrett: Woo!

Tj: Bluefin season, baby.
Woo!

The pelicans are
going west, baby! Pa-pow!

Woo!
We needed that fish.

The last two trips,
we had nothing.

And that took us from
the top spot to the
middle of the pack.

Hopefully, this fish
is enough to start climbing
back to the top of the fleet.

Hold on.

Jarrett: Yeah!
Mike: Oh, it's jumbo.

Tj: You like him, girls?
Let's measure him up.

101.

Mike: 101, hells, yeah!
Big fish.

Tj: A little skinny
though, right?

Mike: We'll take him.

Tj: Get home for dinner,
come back out tomorrow
and do it again.

Travis: Dude!
Joe: All the weeds.

Yeah, I'm ready
to help you out.

This is all ready to go.

Travis: No. It's all good.

Marciano: So we're out
here trolling around.

But right now, it's
pretty slow for us.

Travis: Yeah, joe.
I think it's funny.

A couple years ago,
you know, we were fishing
against each other.

Now we're fishing
with each other.

Joe: Hell, yeah, bro.

I'm happy to have you
onboard this boat though.

A whole different
world down here.

You're always on the move.

You got to find the meat.

I'm stoked to have
travis onboard with us.

The falcon's a
three-person operation.

You can get away with
two people on the merch.

It's really difficult to get
away with it on the falcon.

And travis brings a
lot of knowledge about
this fishery and how they

do things down here.

I think having an
extra hand, you know,

especially for our
trolling game, you know,

there's no doubt about it.

We're way behind
in that category,

and that's, and that's what
your specialty is, isn't it?

Travis: Pretty much, man.
Grew up doing it, so.

Joe: Speak of the devil.

The old pinwheel
right over there.

We stole his mate.

Travis: Hey, I used
to work for that guy.

Tyler: Travis, he
knows what he's doing.

He's gonna bring a
lot to the falcon.

He's gonna really
teach joe a lot.

He's gonna teach dave a lot.

They don't know much
about trolling, so it's
gonna dial them in.

Marciano: There
they are, guys.

They're a little deep though.

Joe: On the mark.

Marciano: There they
are down deep again.

All right, guys we're marking
this real big herd here.

Joe: Yeah.

Marciano: We're gonna
go up past it, right?

The whole point of bringing
travis onboard was to get
our trolling game dialed in,

but we've been at it
all day with no luck.

Still got 'em on the screen.

Travis: You know, sometimes
you can troll over these fish
and they won't come up high

enough where your baits are.

If you get ahead of
them in the tide and
spin around on them,

you could drop a bait on
them and catch them like that.

These guys are pretty
good at bait fishing,

so hopefully we
can make that happen.

Marciano: If we
drift through them,
we're gonna get a bite.

I guarantee it.

Travis: Oh, yeah.

Yeah, I would
just pop them off.

Like I said, if the bait
looks halfway decent, save it.

If not, we'll have to
throw another pack out.

Joe: All right.

After multiple trips
with nothing to show for it,
we've need to make it happen.

Whether we're trolling
or bait fishing, hopefully
travis is gonna bring us that

good luck to help us land
some more bluefin this year.

Marciano: Put that down deep.

Joe: Come on, boys.
Marciano: Right on it.

Joe: Holy [bleep].

Marciano: Get
ready back there.

Stupid tuna!

Joe: Come on!
There he is!

Travis: We're on!
Joe: Yup. We're on!
That's the right one.

Marciano: Go, go, go, go!

Travis: That's what
I'm talking about.

Let's make some money.

Joe: Yup, we're on!
That's the right one.

Marciano: Go, go, go, go!

Joe: Here, trav,
come get you some.

I'll go get our
suits and gloves.

Travis: All right.
Joe: Go get him.

Travis: Now you give it to me?

Marciano:
Definitely a real one.

He's acting like a
nice big fat tuna fish.

So hopefully our luck
will hold out and we can
get this guy in the boat.

Joe: Hell, yeah.

[bleep] down and tight on
the falcon with our new boy.

Travis' southern
hospitality down here
has been a huge help.

Marciano: Tyler,
are you listening?

We're tight to one on the
bait down about 45 pulls.

Tyler [over radio]:
All right. Good luck.

Marissa: What's going on, ty?

Tyler: Marciano hooked
one on the bait.

Marissa: Come on!
Marciano's smoking us?

Joe: That's a bluefin, fellas.

Travis: Swivel.
Joe: Swivel.

Marciano: There he is.

Got him.

Travis: It just come out.
Joe: Yeah!

Joe: He's trying to get away.
We don't have anything yet.

Still on him tight though.

Travis: This fish came
up nice and easy, like,
as pretty as can be.

And hit him with that
dart and he changed his
attitude real quick.

Marciano: I don't think
we damaged the line,
but we pissed the fish off.

Joe: Still on tight.
See him soon hopefully.

Coming up, tail wrapped.
Tail wrapped!

Marciano: Get the gaff.
Get the...

Travis: You wanna get another
dart in him just in case.

Joe: Yeah, yeah,
he's freaking out.

Marciano: Yeah, okay.
Travis: Nice and easy.

Marciano: Yeah, [bleep] you.

Forward gear.

Joe: Good job.
Marciano: Well done, boys.
We got him.

Joe: Whoo!
Marciano: Well done, men.

Congratulations, travis.

Travis: Nice job, man.
Marciano: Well done, joe.

Well done.
All right, we got him.
Now that's tuna fishing.

I knew bringing travis
aboard was the right call
and this just proves it.

Travis: You'd have
thought we were fishing
together for years.

Joe: Hell yeah, like two
peas in a pod over here.

Travis: I'd love to catch
that tuna trolling just
to show joe and dave that

I was good investment.

But we got a fish
on the deck and as
long as they're happy,

I feel like they'll
be happy with me.

Marciano: Okay.
Where's the young guys?

That's what I got them for.

Ah. There we go.

Joe: Yeah, I like travis here.

He's got to do all the work.

I don't even have
to pull the fish in.

Marciano: 85.

Okay well, he's
bigger than I thought.

Joe: Yeah, he's nice.

Marciano: We'll take it.
Well done, travis.

And you guys take care
of icing him up here.

Travis: No problem, cap.

Marciano: Let's see.
We wrapped one up.

It was a bait bite.

Marciano [over radio]:
Thanks for the
recommendation, tyler.

Travis has earned
his keep already.

Tyler: No problem, bud.

Marciano: Well done, travis.
Dinner's on you tonight.

Zack: Even though
dave brought in
some southern a*tillery,

he's always gonna
be a new England boat.

But I think it's a really
good move on dave's part.

Travis just might be
dave's lucky charm down
here in the outer banks.

Daniel: You know,
I don't know.

Zack: Yeah, how's that work?

Shane: Yeah.

Daniel: Yeah.

Joe: We reversed the curse.

Marciano: What's
going on, scotso?

Scott: Good to see you.

Marciano: Well, we got a
little package for you today.

Scott: Let's check it out.

Joe: Going up.

Marciano: What
do we got, scotty?

Scott: 264 pounds dressed.

Marciano: Nice,
not bad, not bad.

Scott: Let's check it out.

Marciano: Well, it was
the first trip with our
new mate travis today.

We do miss angelica this
season, so it was great to
have that extra person on the

boat to kind of be back
there working with joe
and helping him out.

Scott: You guys ready?

Joe: Oh, yeah.

Scott: It's a nice fish.

Loaded with fat.

Joe: Nice and oily, huh?

Scott: Yeah,
it's a little greasy.

Marciano: Keep talking.

Scott: As long as
this core's good.

Marciano: Right, right.

Scott: No burn there.
I like it.

Marciano: So what do
you think, scotty?

Scott: We can get you guys...

$24 a pound.

Joe: Awesome.
Marciano: Yeah!
Nice, that's a big score.

Getting over six grand for
this fish is a huge score for
us right now on the falcon.

I'm definitely gonna keep
travis around for the rest
of the season down here.

Joe and I like him and
he's helping us catch fish.

All right, guys, let's get
out there and get another one.

Scott: See you.
Travis: Take it easy.
Joe: See you later, scotty.

Hopefully we can keep
this momentum going and
we'll just keep powering

up the leaderboard.

Tj: No better feeling, baby.

Bluefin season.

Mike: Another big boy.
Mary: How much?

Mike: 1-0-1.
Mary: 1-0-1.

Tj: The last few trips
out were a total bust,
but not this one.

We landed a beauty.

And if this doesn't
put us back on top, at
least it's got us going in

the right direction.

We are stoked to be
back in the groove.

This was a much-needed fish.

Gonna try and keep
it rolling, you know.

Dennis: Let's take it off
and get you turned around.

Tj: All right, buddy.
Mike: Sounds good.

Tj: What we got, dennis?
Dennis: 461 pounds, guys.
Tj: That's a real one.

Dennis: Looks like
a pretty fish.
Let's check it out.

Tj: All right. Cool.

It's popping a little bit.

Dennis: You know, I
am seeing some fat.

Tj: Yeah.

Dennis: It's definitely
real fat in here.

If the core color's
good, this will, you know,
bring you some good money.

Tj: Okay, great.
Dennis: Look at that.
Nice and red.

I've been seeing that
recently, nice, nice red core.

Tj: So with everything you
see, what are you thinking?

Dennis: $20 a pound, guys.

Jarrett: There we go!
Tj: That works for me, man.
Mike: Uh-hmm.

Jarrett: That's
not bad at all.

Mike: Perfect price.
Tj: That works for me.

$20 a pound,
that's a $9,000 fish.

I'll take that all day long.

Mary: Good to see you guys.
Jarrett: Thank you.

Tj: We just need to get
back out there and get us
another one just like that.

Dennis: Thanks
for the fish, tj.

Thanks, guys.

Tj: Good job.
That was a beautiful fish.

Eric: Where's the action at?

Adam: I don't know.
There's one bite somewhere.

I'd like to catch a
few more before this
quota gets filled up.

Last two weeks, the fish
have been in the warm water,
so we made it to the warm

water and here we are.

Yesterday was a good day.

We got a nice fish and a
nice payday to go with it.

Eric: Yeah!
Adam: Yes!

Not only that, so did the
hot tuna and the falcon.

Marciano: Well done, boys.
We got him.

Adam: And with the
pinwheel and kahuna so
focused on each other,

they didn't even
notice it happened.

Eric: Wow, look at the grass.

I just hope we didn't
have grass when we had
fish in our spread.

John-michael: Yeah.

Adam: Mark!
Got a mark! Holy!

John-michael:
Come on, bluefin!

Adam: Come on!

John-michael: We're on!
Got him on!

Eric: That's him.
Adam: And the outlaw is tight.

Tj: Oh, [bleep].

Marissa: Outlaw is crazy.

Eric: Give us some gas.
Adam: It's in gear.

Eric: Well, I'm cranking line.
Adam: The rod's bent!

John-michael:
Come on, baby!
We need this one.

Gonna try and get it.

Adam: Wanna get it moved.
Eric: Yeah, come on, john.

Adam: There's a lot
of pressure on him.

Looking very nervous
until we get this fish.

Try not to put too much
pressure on him, you know?

John-michael: Yeah.
A little stressed.

I don't want
nothing to go wrong.

We need this fish bad.

Adam: Just a waiting game.
Take it easy on him.

Eric: Big swell.
Pay attention, john.

Big swell.

It slipped off.

Eric: Come on, man!
Adam: He still on there?

Eric: Attention, john.
Eric: Big swell.

John-michael: It slipped off.
Eric: Come on, man.

Adam: He still there?
Go, go, go, go, go!

John-michael: All right, man.
He's still there.

Eric: That was pretty sketch.

John-michael: Can't
get anything on him?

Eric: Yeah, I
think he's close.

Pinwheeling now, ain't he?

John-michael: Yeah.
Adam: Come on.

Eric: Everybody's got
to be on their a-game.

Adam: There you go.

John-michael:
Color. Color.
Chopper, get back.

Eric: Come on, john.
Big one!

John-michael:
[inaudible] come on, big fish.

Adam: Come on,
come on, come on.

John-michael: Come on, baby.
Stick him!

Yeah, baby! Yeah!

Eric: Yeah!
Adam: Stick his head.
Eric: There we go.

Adam: We got him.
Eric: Got him now.

John-michael: Whoo!
Eric: Yeah, baby!

John-michael:
Yeah! Yeah! Get some of that.

Go! Get some of that! Yeah!

Adam: Oh.

John-michael: Whoo!
Two trips, two days, two fish.

I don't think it
puts us up with pinwheel
or kahuna just yet,

but we're definitely
moving in the right direction.

Adam [over radio]:
All right. We got ours.

Tyler: You gotta
be kidding me.

Marissa: Is outlaw
hooked up right now?

Marissa: Excuse me?

Reed: Outlaw's
got another one.

Another one tyler can't have.

Eric: All right, you ready?
Two, three.

John-michael:
All right, baby.
Moment of truth.

Adam: 92.
John-michael: 92.

Adam: We got him, choppy.
We got him, boy.

John-michael:
Outlaw coming in hot!

Shane: Oh, hey puppy.

Zack: Oh, minnie, why haven't
you made 'em bite yet?

We didn't catch anything
yesterday, and today
isn't looking any better.

All we need is one fish to
catch up with the pinwheel and
get back on top of the fleet.

Don't you wanna go home?

Don't you wanna go home?
You gotta catch us a tuna.

But our good luck
charm, minnie.

Zack: Rub her on the reel.

We're rubbing
minnie on the reels.

Oh, yeah.

Seems like she's
taking the week off.

The faster we produce,
the faster we can go home.

Shane: Are you still
mad because you
got shots yesterday?

Zack: Yeah, that might be it.

She might put the curse on
us since she had to go to
the vet and get the shots.

She might be mad.

Is you mad?
Don't be mad.
Don't be mad.

I hope we get ours.

But if it can't be us, I hope
the kahuna catches a nice one.

So at least it's a
southern boat up there on
top instead of a northern boat.

At least we gave it a
shot though, regardless.

Catch us a fish, puppy.

John-michael: Pretty work.

Adam: Two trips, two fish.

Things are turning
around for the outlaw.

Scott: What's up, guys?

Adam: I hope pinwheel
is paying attention.

The meredith's aren't
the only brothers tyler
needs to worried about.

Scott: Looks like
you got a nice one.

What do you guys say,
you wanna come up
and check it out?

Adam: Let's take
a look at him.

So what do we got, scott?

Scott: 400 pounds even.
Adam: Nice. We'll take him.

Scott: Let's check him out,
see what we got.

All right, guys.
Nice little fish.
It's got a decent toro in it.

A little on the thin side,
but still not bad.

A lot fat in the minors.

Color's all right.
That looks good, definitely.

Adam: Yeah.

Scott: You guys are
taking care of the fish.

Clearly shows with this core.

With this fish right here.

Adam: Baby needs diapers.

Scott: We can
get you guys...

$20 a pound.

Adam: Nice.
John-michael: Heck, yeah.

Eight grand on top
of six and a half.

This puts us in great shape
to start giving these other
guys a run for their money.

Adam: I can't stop,
won't stop.

John-michael: Nope.

Reed: Going for it?
Steve: I'm gonna try one.

Banks: Whoa.
You sure that
isn't a dog treat?

Steve: It's really not good.
Reed: We're going stir-crazy.

Another long trip and
nothing to show for it.

Steve: Are you
feeding me dog treats?

Reed: Our only saving
grace right now is pinwheel
hasn't caught another fish.

We're still well within
reach of catching tyler.

Steve: That is really bad.

Banks: We'll do experiments
on steve all day
with eating random things.

Reed: Well, we're not
gonna catch anything.

We might as well.

Marking 'em.
No bites yet.
Waiting for it though.

I quit.

Finally mark 'em and
not even get a maybe.

Banks: We're on!
We're on!

Double-header, double-header.

Come on, steve.
Clear some lines.
Get the lines up.

Tyler: Reed might have a bite.

They're all on the
back of the boat.

Marissa: He's been
awfully quiet for
the past few minutes.

Tyler: It's gonna
be a long night.

I'll tell you that much.

Marissa: Oh, god.
Reed: Oh, mine come off.

Banks: Whoo!
I'm going to the back.

Reed: Mine's gone.
Banks: All right.

Get this [bleep]
rod out my way. Whoo.

Hey, get me in the right spot.

Reed: Hold on.
Banks: All right. Look out.

Thanks big boy. Oh.

Weird [bleep] going
on right here.

Hold on.
Oh, [bleep].
Look at that, man.

Reed: Look at that [bleep].
Oh, boy.

Banks: Coming back up.
Oh, go!

Reed: Holy [bleep].
Banks: All right. Hold on.

Reed: Never seen
anything like it.

Banks: Look at this [bleep].
He's gonna jump.

Wow, this is crazy.

Reed: There he is,
right there.

Look at him right
there black backing.

Holy hell!

Banks: Oh, wow.

Reed: Pretty unusual.

I mean, usually, they
settle in after 30 minutes,
but this fish is shot up

through the surface
like he was gonna jump.

It's insane.
Never seen anything like it.

Banks: This might
be one of the craziest
fish I've ever fought.

Let's go, baby.

Reed: Stressful.

The longer you fight it,

oh god, the more
it can go wrong.

Banks: Ow! [bleep].

Reed: That'll teach,
that'll teach you.

Banks: I bet it won't.

Reed: I'm sure it won't,
but it should.

Dumbass.

This really is
man versus beast.

Steve: Which one's the beast?

Banks: Taking line.

Reed: I hate having them
on for this amount of time.

You live for it,
but you hate it.

Banks: I like the way
he's feeling right
now for a second.

Reed: Oh, hell.

[bleep] two hours
and twenty minutes.

I don't like any of it.

Banks: Oh, lord.
Come on.

Reed: Here comes the wind.
Oh, boy.

We got a [bleep]
rodeo going here with
water in the c*ck.

Banks: We always
get the mean ones.

Reed: Always!

Always hear stories of
other boats catching fish
and just give right up.

Never for me.

Careful on those swells now.

Back him down a little bit
for these big a*s seas.

Jeez, stress level 20.

Getting rougher and rougher.

Watch this one.

Steve: Oh, boy.

Reed: Back your drag
off a little bit.

Banks: Oh, my god!

Reed: Lose him?
Oh, god.

Watch this one.

Steve: Oh, boy.

Reed: Back your
drag off a little bit.

Banks: Oh, my god!

Reed: Lose him?
Oh, god.

Banks: I'm on. There he is!
Reed: There he is.

Holy [bleep].
No 80-incher.

Reed: Unbelievable.

Banks: Well, I think
my elbow's shot.

Reed: Huh?

Four hours fighting
this fish, banks is shot.

Banks: Oh, my hands are raw.
Worthy adversary.

Reed: This is when the other
meredith brother steps in.

It's a beast, but neither
one of us are gonna give
up knowing that this

one can finally put us
ahead of those mclaughlin kids.

Okay.

Banks: Watch your line, go!
Reed: All right. Stop! Stop!

Just keep doing what
we're doing, steve.

Deep color.

Banks, you
gonna grab a harpoon?

All I do know is if we
get a shot, you [bleep]
better drill his a*s.

Banks: Tell me when.

Steve: That the leader?
Reed: That is. Bump!

Might get a shot.
Got to be prepared.

Banks: Should I do it?

Reed: I don't know what
you're waiting for.

Drill that [bleep].

Banks, drill that thing!

What are you
waiting for, dude?

Barn door, banks!

God blessed.

All right, get a gaff!
Get a gaff! Get a gaff!

Come on, steve, over here.

Don't pull your dart out.

Come on.
Get that tail!

Banks: Get a rope!
Oh, wow.

That was a
freaking epic battle.

Reed: Whoo! [bleep].
Good job, steve! Knuckles!

Banks: Knuckles, baby. Yeah.

Steve: Low bones.
Reed: Low bones.
Steve: Low bones. Low bones.

Banks: Yeah.
Steve: What's that say?
Money in the banks?

Banks: Yeah.
Steve: Is that what that says?

Reed: Hey, steve.
Take note though.

Closer had to come in
and finish him off.

Banks: I, the closer.

Oh, my god, you jump
on it after I fight it
for three and a half.

Reed: Oh, [bleep].

After you swim
him for three hours, I
had to k*ll the thing.

Banks: It's always a
competition between us,

but I think that's
really helped us up our game

and being that top boat.

Reed: That's our
ticket home, boys.

Banks: Whoo!
Steve: Yes, sir!

Reed: I wonder how
pinhead's doing?

Reed [over radio]:
That was a long one.
Finally got that b*stard.

Yo, pinwheel!

Tyler: [bleep], no.

Reed: Come on.

With only 300 bucks between
us, we need a fish tonight
so we can at least

stay neck and neck with him.

Reed's rubbing in
that he caught him.

We can't get a bite.

It pisses you off, but
we gotta keep grinding.

I'm just trying, trying
to cover my, my costs
down here at this point.

Reed: Oh.

Tyler: Whoo!
Marking 'em 60 fathoms.

We're on!
Oh, then we're off now.

Hell, yeah! Let's go!

Hey, yo, yo, yo!
Merm, we're on!

We're on! We're on!
Merm, merm! Oh.

Might have come off.

[bleep] lost another
one probably.

[bleep].
What the [bleep]!

I don't understand
what is going on.

We're having great
luck when it comes
to getting the bites,

but we're having
terrible luck when it comes

to getting
the fish on the deck.

The fish came off.

Mono disintegrated.

Pulled the hook, who knows?

[bleep] not going our way.

Missed him!

The [bleep]!
We got sharked.

This is not how I
needed this trip to go.

When your lead's as
small as ours is right now,

every fish counts.

With reed so close to
me on the leaderboard,
I'm definitely nervous that

he could overtake
me in the competition.

Shark. Thank god.

Marissa: Record timing, ty.
Tyler: What?

Marissa: For me
to get out of bed.

Tyler: I know that was record.

Reed: Let's go. Let's go.
Come on.

Steve: Holy [bleep].

That is a lot bigger than
it looked like dragging.

1,2,3!

Reed: Get this
thing on course.

I think I got a hernia now.

Whoo!
Let's see what we got, steve.

102 boys!

Steve: Beauty.
Reed: Nice one. Oh, yeah.
Pretty work, boys.

Steve: Whoo. Nice job!
Reed: Pretty work.

Banks: We got a way of
catching the mean real ones.

Reed: We get the mean ones.

What's up, dennis?

Dennis: Everybody looks tired.

Reed: It was rough as ba*ls
out there today, dennis.

Dennis: Well, maybe you
got a money fish here.

Let's check it out.

Reed: Hope so.

Dennis: Wow, he's pretty big.

Reed: These tunas mean a
lot to my brother and me.

We take pride in this
town being our home.

So any chance we get
to show these northerners
they don't belong here,

I like that.

All right, dennis.

What are you
seeing over there?

Dennis: 502 pounds
dressed, reed.

Reed: 5-0-2,
yeah, that's nice.

Better than I thought.
Pretty work.
Pretty work, boys.

I'm not getting those hands.

Steve: Elbow.

Reed: This is our second
500-pounder of the season.

If we get a good price,

pinwheel will be
nothing more than just
dots in our rearview mirror.

All right.

Dennis: You guys caught
a fatty today, no doubt.

Banks: Whoa.
Steve: Wow.
Banks: Boy.

Reed: It is beaming
out of him, isn't it?

Dennis: Look at, look at
how the fat is just marbled
through both major lobes.

Reed: Yeah, it really is.
Dennis: Gorgeous tail cut.

It's just definitely one
of the most attractive tail
cuts I've seen this winter.

Well, let's see if
the core color is as
glassy as we hoped.

Reed: I sure hope
it is on this guy.

Banks: Come on.
Let's see that pretty color.

Steve: Wow.
Banks: Pretty good.

Dennis: You can see it's
a beautiful red there.

You guys did a good job.

It's a gorgeous fish.

Reed: What are you thinking?

Dennis: $25 a pound, guys.

Reed: Damn. Nice.
Pretty work, boys. Awesome.

Thanks, dennis.

Dennis: Thanks for the fish.
Reed: That's a huge payday.

That means we've
got a good chance of
being in first place.

All right.
We'll get back at it.

Makes us feel even better
knowing pinwheel still
hasn't caught another fish.

I love it when a
plan comes together.

Narrator: Kahuna's big payday

launches them into first
position ahead of pinwheel.

While a quiet few days
leaves rasta rocket in third.

Offshore outlaw's two
fish push them into fourth

while falcon's catch
with new crewmember travis

is not enough to buoy
them up from the bottom.

Bobby: Hey, guys,
is this what it feels
like to fish in gloucester,

just sitting around?

Tj: Yeah, except you
got to know what the
[bleep] you're doing.

Tyler: Big time.

Bobby: I heard, I heard
it's so easy even an
exterminator can do it.

Tj: Yeah, well, you
better cut those [bleep]

parachutes off your rods
and pretend like you know

what you're doing.

Tyler: Learn how to crimp
some different-sized lines.

Learn how to keep bait alive.

Gotta figure out what is bait.

Bobby: I just
watched a youtube
video while I'm waiting,

so we're good now.

The arrogance is
k*lling me, dude.
