So far, this bluefin
season's pretty anticlimactic.

had two seasons down here
in the Outer Banks that

we didn't catch
any fish at all.

There's some sort of
Outer Banks curse on us.

one yet this year.

We have to start with
one fish, kind of break that
curse, break that goose egg.

-It's always the hardest
to get that first fish.

-The big challenge this
season is we're allowed
one bluefin per trip.

out and don't catch a bluefin,
you can't go out and catch two

fish the next trip.

So, you're under the

This year, we only got

they're more than welcome to.

It's just they know

This rod caught a
lot of fish for me.

were the top boat.

And right now, we're
the top boat down here.

Our closest competitor is
Little Shell, and they're
already more than a grand

behind us in the earnings.

The way we're fishing,
I'm not worried about any
of these southern boats.

Tyler loves to talk a big
game, but this our home turf.

We were the top boat
three years in a row.

Last year, we came up a little
bit short, but this season,

we're not gonna
let anyone show us up.

so it could be

that we could easily
find fish on our own.
