01x04 - Mimi's Meatballs

Post by bunniefuu »

[clock ticking]

[dramatic music playing]

[Simu Liu] Kim, Spencer, and Stein

are in the middle of their escape.

Kim's idea is good,

dressing up Spencer

as one of our TV production team.

Let's see if one former reality star

disguised as a crewmember

can steal $246,600.

Hey, Spencer, are you ready

for your big moment?

[suspenseful music playing]

[Spencer] Standing in front

of this window,

the light turns green.

I am like, "Okay, it's on,

this is gonna work."

[tense music playing]

[Cynthia]

Is s-someone out? Are they running?

No, no.

I'm just going to the bathroom.

[music continues]

Well, I'm gonna go

put my weave on here in a second.

You put stuff on top--

-Is that your real hair?

-Yeah.

[Steven G.] So, why would

you put something on top?

[Kim] These wigs have just

become part of my life.

[dramatic music playing]

-Um

-[Cynthia] What's happening?

It's a man with bushes.

-[Shane] Oh, it's, it's production.

-[Demi] It's a worker.

[music continues]

[Kim]

Oh, it's production, you idiots.

Yeah, they have plants.

[Clare]

Um, what?

We see somebody walking out.

It looks like a crewmember,

but crewmembers around here

don't look like that.

Our crewmembers

are cuter than that. Come on.

[music crescendos]

-[alarm blaring]

-Oh.

-No!

-Right here.

[blaring continues]

[Shane] I mean,

that would be a fire distraction.

[Steven G.]

That would be a fire move.

[Clare]

Watch. Watch it.

[Susan]

Is that Val? Val?!

Okay.

[Susan laughing]

[Lindsey]

Who is that? Who is that?

It is Spencer disguised as a plant guy!

-That is so funny.

-That was Val?

Why you guys

not paying attention to this?

Not bad, Spence.

For what you had to work with?

I guess it, it would've worked

if I wasn't there at the watchtower.

Dude, I was still confused.

I'm like, "No, it's a worker."

Even though the escape was unsuccessful,

I was pretty close.

I did fake out a lot of the house.

It showed me this is doable.

It's possible.

You did the belly too.

This is [bleep].

-[Rob] Oh, that's so good.

-[exhales]

[Kim] I had the perfect

exit strategy today,

and, well, it didn't work.

Everybody's on high alert,

and I can guarantee you

in the next few days

it's going to get 10 times worse.

There's so many people in this house

and nothing's really

gonna get by anyone at this point.

[Yahné] Which way

did he come in, the front door?

I'm not telling you

where the [bleep] he came from.

You pulled the-- You pressed the button.

I ain't telling you sh*t.

Of course, I pressed the button.

-I'm not letting him take the money.

-Hell, yeah.

-[Kim] You didn't know it was him.

-Doesn't matter. I'd press

the button on anybody.

I'ma press the button on you.

-Ooh! [laughs]

-[Kim] Good luck.

[Yahné]

I need to defend the pot.

Let's be honest,

there's 20 of us in this house.

Everybody in this house is, you know,

sweet and nice and everything,

but it doesn't mean

I wanna split the money

with you at the end.

Well, well, well,

things have gotten a little spicy.

-[Demi] That was good.

-[Doodles] Very spicy.

That was good, Yahné.

Yay! [bleep] Spencer.

Oh, my gosh.

That was a workout,

-getting that--

-That was [bleep] good, dawg.

I was like [panting]

[Stein] I give Spencer

mad props for trying,

but, honestly, no one

has escaped from this house yet.

It's so [bleep] hard.

[suspenseful music playing]

No one wants to see another person

run away with this money

and deplete the whole pot.

But I actually feel like

it's possible to get outta here.

I'm willing to go to crazy distances

in terms of, like,

sleep deprivation, athletic moves.

I'm gonna put my best foot forward

and I'm gonna try and win this thing.

[thrilling music playing]

[Simu] Twenty strangers

locked into a house

trying to escape and steal a prize

climbing to a million dollars.

What's stopping them?

Each other.

-What's at stake?

-[alarm blaring]

-[Susan] Hit the button!

-[Rob] Hit the button!

[Simu]

Everything.

What's for dinner?

Meatballs.

This is Got to Get Out.

[bright music playing]

Four glorious days

into my brilliant one-of-a-kind game,

and my house guests

are still trapped inside.

So far,

they've had 12 chances to escape.

[Demi screams]

Seven have had the ba*ls to try.

I was so close!

[Simu] Others were

too dumb to figure it out.

What?

I blew it.

[Simu]

And then, there's Rob.

I'm not taking it.

[Simu] Whatever he did.

Still don't get that one.

Money is everything.

It makes the world go round,

especially to the people in this house.

They're, like, obsessed with it.

Will they share it or steal it?

The money clock

has officially hit $300,000,

and just like climate change,

things are really heating up.

[Shane] I think, today,

things are really gonna start cooking up.

It's inevitable that somebody will get out

at some point.

If one person gets out by themselves

that messes up the pot.

[Rashad] With the pot

building up to 300,000,

and it's letting us know

that somebody's gonna

try to steal some money from us.

I'ma learn to be hypervigilant.

It's like 300,000.

That's a lot of money.

That would be sweet, right?

[Clare sighs]

-It would be unbelievable.

-Mm-hm.

[exhales] It's a lot of money,

and I miss my family terribly.

What I wouldn't give

to just be out that gate.

It is nowhere near the-the total,

and it's still a ton of money.

[Simu] Today, two people

will receive exit strategies

with their eye on the $300,000 prize.

$300,000 is a lot of money.

I think that's most of

the people in the house,

that's kinda their magic number.

Now, everyone's ready to run.

Everyone's ready to play.

[Stein] Well, what is your strategy?

What are you thinking?

[Cynthia] Well, as one

of the older ladies here,

I can't run super fast,

so I'm not gonna be the person

that can actually do the escaping part.

It's all the way game on.

Now, I'm watching everyone.

I'm totally trustworthy.

[indistinct chatter]

Uh, do you feel like

you can trust me?

-Of c-- For sure.

-Totally game.

The prize money is over $300,000.

I'd love to walk outta here

with 300 grand

and share it with my family members.

I come from not much.

I was, like, well below the poverty line

until I was, like, 28 years old,

which was last year.

I'm good at running.

Like, I'm a I, I ski professionally,

and, like, I, like, I can, I can, I can

make my way through different places.

-Okay.

-[Stein laughing]

-I'm liking you more and more.

-[Stein laughing]

[Simu] It's good to see

people playing the game.

Speaking of which,

Doodles is playing the game with Athena,

but does he got game?

Athena's got a lot more going on

than meets the eye.

She's a total badass.

We had a big booty pool party

in the hot tub.

We worked together at the challenge.

So, I think I'm gonna

ask her out on a date.

I really hope Athena

says yes to my invite.

[Simu] Well, he disguised

his date invitation

as an escape plan, so

I'm going with he got game.

[Athena V.]

Wow, your makeup looks so good.

I got, I got about

three other options too.

-[Jill] Okay.

-Okay, I'll help you leave

'cause I want, I want less people

in the house, but then

[mysterious music playing]

But-But then it's, um

Yeah, I don't know.

[music continues]

I see a card.

I'm freaking out right now.

No idea who this is from.

All I know is, I gotta run to the bathroom

and keep this to myself

and stay with my thoughts for a second.

[music continues]

[gasps]

-What are you doing?

-Nothing.

-A card?

-Yeah.

What does it [bleep] say?

Is it to your boyfriend?

What does this mean?

Get in the bathroom right now.

Open it, go.

[suspenseful music playing]

That's it.

I thought this b*tch

really had an escape plan, guys.

[Athena V.] Doodles is

inviting me for a date.

Not the escape strategy I was thinking.

This is even better.

Get the [bleep] outta the shower.

I thought we were le--

I thought I was leaving today, guys.

I don't wanna go on this date.

I definitely wanna go on this date.

Doodles!

[Simu]

What is happening?

I've gotta be honest, I'm not sure

what to make of this relationship,

but what do I know?

[suspenseful music playing]

Will you shake this in for me?

-Yeah. What, this?

-Yeah. Mm-hm.

A little bit more.

[bread crumbs rattling]

Not shake it-- I mean

shake some in here.

[laughing]

I wasn't gonna question it.

I should say, "Pour some in there."

Shake it.

-How much you want?

-Shake it. Shake it.

Athena and Nick have a date,

and, of course, I'm gonna

make Mimi's meatballs.

We decided spaghetti with a pasta meal

like Lady and the tr*mp.

They would suck

from each end of the pasta.

[Simu] Aw, noodles for Doodles.

-I wanna go get dressed.

-Okay.

My n*pples have been out long enough.

Don't let this burn.

-Just stir it, like, every 10 minutes.

-Just stir it every

Just keep an eye.

I won't be long.

[Simu] You know what else

has been out for long enough?

My patience waiting

for this lot to escape.

So, it's time to crank up

the ticker tape machine.

[ticker tape machine ticking]

Alright.

Give me somethin' good, baby.

-"No exit strategy."

-"No exit strategy."

"No exit strategy."

[Cynthia] Although I am,

and forever will always be

a Real Housewife of Atlanta,

I am newly divorced.

I started a whole new career

well into my 50s.

I'm a single Black woman

who, literally, is rebuilding

her whole life,

personally and professionally.

[ticking]

Come on, give me a decent clue.

I have a daughter to support,

I have a mom to look after.

I need some money in the bank.

[suspenseful music playing]

sh*t. The one time

I don't have my glasses.

Oh, sh*t.

[softly]

Oh, my God.

"The red bathroom will open at 312,000."

Oh, my God! Oh, my God.

I have an exit strategy.

[Simu]

This is Cynthia's first exit strategy.

The red bathroom window

will open at $312,000,

giving her, or someone

she chooses, the chance

to escape down the driveway

and through the gates

to the getaway car.

[Cynthia] Oh, sh*t.

Cynthia "Cheekbones" Bailey

just clocked in.

Game on.

[ticking]

[Spencer] I actually hate you, machine.

I hate you.

"No exit strategy."

[ticking]

[Jill]

"No exit strategy."

This game will, like,

just completely tear you apart.

[sobbing]

Oh. I want it so bad.

I can't take this sh*t anymore.

This is so hard.

[ticking]

It's my lucky day.

"You have received an open sesame.

"Must be used between

309,300, and 310,300."

Holy sh*t. [laughs]

[Simu] I feel like

I'm stuck in a time loop.

That's right,

Susan has another open sesame.

Do I need to remind you

what happened last time?

Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

Oh, my God. Yes! Yes!

Susan, what are you doing?

It's ridiculous.

Open sesame!

I got nothing, honey.

I got nothing.

I learned maybe, just maybe,

I need to keep my plans to myself.

[Simu]

Turns out for $300,000,

Susie "Looselips" is willing to zip it.

[ticking]

[Val] I'm feeling fierce

in my cheetah-print pants.

I'm feeling ready to take

$300,000 home with me.

Being a new father,

I would be more interested in,

in using this money

to put away for my kid's college,

and, you know, maybe

get my wife something special.

"You have received a k*ll switch."

[Simu] Val has received

a powerful new gameplay device,

my k*ll switch.

Once activated, a k*ll switch

disables the watchtower lever

and the warning system

they've come to rely on.

When Val turns

on the microwave in the kitchen,

his k*ll switch will be

in play for three minutes,

giving someone the opportunity

to escape undetected by the tower.

[Val] This is huge.

The clue I have is the k*ll switch

of the watchtower.

Huge game changer.

It's given me an advantage.

But I will need to pair up with somebody

that has an actual exit strategy.

I'm betting on trusting Steven

'cause I can sense that he's someone

that if he does escape,

he's gonna take me with him,

and he's someone that if I escape,

I'll-I'll definitely take him with me.

You get a clue on this one or what?

-I got one.

-Oh, you got one?

It's to disable the tower

for three minutes.

[Steven G.]

Yeah, I got, I got nothing.

I quickly find out that Steven

didn't get an exit strategy

and I'm stuck.

-Which door is it?

-I mean--

[Val] I don't have a door.

That's the thing.

That's the thing.

One of us has to have a door.

If that's the case then we could do it.

Now I need to find somebody

that has an exit strategy.

[blows raspberries]

[Simu] Susie "Looselips"

and "Cheekbones" Bailey

have received today's two exit strategies,

while "Cheetah Pants" Val

has a one-time use k*ll switch.

Whoever gets out

will win all the money on the clock,

and it will start over at zero,

crushing everyone else's dreams.

"No exit strategy."

-And I was in there forever.

-[laughs]

Alright, then I'm gonna

prep the plates for the table.

No, I'm going.

[Val yawns]

[Susan]

Ohh!

Ohh.

What did yours say, Val?

Come here.

We should sh**t some pool.

[whimsical music playing]

I got the same [bleep] one.

[indistinct chatter]

The [bleep] same one, and you're my guy.

I'm trying to figure out

who can help me,

and, all of a sudden, it was like

out of nowhere, it was heavenly.

This angel, Susan, comes out of nowhere,

points to me,

"I have another exit strategy,

and you're my guy."

But, we'll have a short

opportunity between

$309,300 and $310,300.

I love Val. I love the way

he plays the game

'cause he stays under the radar.

But when we look at-- in each other's

eyes, there's a bond there.

I trust him, and I believe he trusts me,

and I wanna dance with him.

And you have to say "Open Sesame"

at the same time

at two locations.

[Val] I tell Susan that I'm in,

and that I have a k*ll switch.

This is a good plan.

He has the k*ll switch,

which means the power

upstairs on the tower

when you pull it down, it won't work.

I'm feeling like my plan

is foolproof right now.

Nobody from the watchtower

can alert the people in the house

to press the red button.

It's a win-win.

This plan is flawless.

[Simu] Well, this is

with Susan, so we'll see.

Escapes are like a good meatball recipe,

timing is everything,

and Mimi's meatballs

are starting to smell real good.

Plus, there's over $300,000 up for grabs.

[Cynthia] I finally have a plan,

and I am going to try

my hardest to get out.

For me, I feel like I'm playing chess.

The only move I needed to make was one,

and that is placing myself at this button.

Now that I'm button girl,

I, actually, have a lot of power

in this house.

Here's the thing.

I realize, step two, I'm not a runner.

My best play is to find someone

who can help me,

and hope like hell that they're honest

and they have integrity

and they're going to split the money.

Omarosa is extremely smart.

She's a thinker, and I feel

like at the end of the day,

we will definitely have each other's back.

[Omarosa] I'm gonna go

check for green lights.

-I'll be back. [laughs]

-[Cynthia] Alright.

You know how people pretend like

they're "going for a walk."

-[Cynthia] Exactly.

-I'm gonna go check for green lights.

[Cynthia]

Rashad is the fastest runner,

but I haven't spent any time with him,

so I can't really trust him.

[Rashad]

Cynthia, you running?

When I feel it, that's when I'll run.

I also have eyes on Stein.

Hi, Cynthia.

[chuckles]

[Cynthia] All I have to do

is pick the right person

to take home a bunch of money.

[Simu] There are now

two escape plans brewing.

In order to distract from his plotting,

Val does what Val does best, dance.

A-five, six, seven, eight.

You gotta teach me that,

uh, that dance move.

-The

-The dip?

Yeah, the dip

'cause she already knows it.

-I got you.

-So, it's like

Doodles dipping Athena,

and-and-and having

her weight in his arms.

You see how I'm holding you here?

-Yep.

-So, now lean-- Yeah, see the support?

-Yep.

-So, it's not just

-You try to get it there.

-Okay.

Probably one of the most

romantic things you can do.

She will be impressed.

Like a little lunge to help you.

[peppy music playing]

-Nice.

-Got it.

Boom. You dip her, fix her hair

and bring her right back.

And that's how you do it.

[Shane] Oh, man,

he's getting ready to distract people

is what he's doing.

We got a distractor here tonight.

He's got his leopard pants on.

He's getting people dancing.

-I run faster in these, that's why.

-[Shane] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right.

[Simu]

Meanwhile in the orange bedroom,

strategy talk has taken a different turn.

We need looks,

we need bronzer, we need hair.

I need to do a fashion show.

Should I do a fashion show?

-Yes. Yes.

-Okay. Fashion show. Fashion show. Okay.

They don't have an exit strategy,

but my moment will come.

So, I have to find somebody

in this house to escape with.

But right now, I think

Doodles is my best option.

Okay, I looked through her closet,

and I think if we wanna go with something

a little classy and sophisticated,

we have a cute little white sundress,

which is very, very sweet.

-That's cute.

-[Lindsey] Yeah. Very sweet.

She's coming.

It's happening.

-Okay. You like this one?

-[Kim] This is a winner.

-Yeah, it looks good?

-[Kim] This is a winner.

The only thing is when she turns around.

-[Kim] Yep.

-[Athena V.] No good?

I'm not kidding.

It's see-through.

It's got slits up to her hip bone.

-We should try that one.

-Okay.

His mother may be watching this show.

-[comical music fades]

-[Athena V.] Oh.

-Oh, yes. 100%. Wow.

-[Athena V.] That's true.

And you're gonna have

to go home for the home visit

like on The Bachelors.

Remember he makes toys

for a living as well.

[Omarosa]

Right, wholesome.

I'm so excited for this date.

I haven't been in love in at least a year.

That's a lot for me.

You're really feeling her?

-[Doodles] Yeah.

-Dude, and, like--

[Doodles] I didn't ex--

I didn't really expect that either.

[Shane]

I think she's act-- Like, into you too.

Like, it's, like,

definitely not one-sided.

Like, I think

she's feeling your vibe as well.

I think, yeah,

I think she's feeling me.

No, 100%. If there's any way

I can ever help my guys,

like, help with girls, like,

I'm, obviously, gonna help.

[whimsical music playing]

[Spencer]

Noodles and Athena V.,

I'm not really buying

this little showmance.

I don't wanna get distracted

and lose sight of the money.

Are you gonna be here for a second?

Yeah.

Are you gonna be here

for a second?

Can you watch him?

I decided who I think

has the best chance of winning.

I have my eye on someone particular.

From the time I walked

in the house and I saw him,

for some reason,

I just immediately felt his energy.

I was like, "I wanna work with this guy."

He jumps, he swims, he hikes.

He can do everything.

I can't do anything.

So, I think I found my partner.

-Oh, my God. Okay. Whew.

-[Stein chuckles]

Ah, sh*t.

I gotta get off that couch more.

-[Stein laughing]

-That gate is looking a long way,

if I gotta run it.

I was like, "What is going on?"

I've never seen Cynthia in the watchtower.

-[Cynthia] Listen. I have something.

-[Stein] Yeah, I'm listening.

If I give you my clue,

if you run it for me

-Mm-hm.

-will you promise to split it 50/50,

and don't say anything to anyone

that we're working together?

Red bathroom, 312,000.

-The door's gonna open.

-Red bathroom, 312,000.

Cynthia, like

-[Cynthia] Red bathroom.

-I got you.

[Stein] I am so stoked.

Like, she is, pretty much,

seems to be the queen of the button.

So, I feel like this could work out.

-Red room, 312.

-Yes.

-Okay. We should, uh--

-I'll be on the button.

Okay.

While you'll be on the button.

And I, I mean, it may be

a million people down there.

I may not be able to do anything,

but if I'm down there by myself,

and I think they trust me at this point

-Yeah. Okay.

-I'm not pushing it.

-I got you.

-Alright.

I'm so stressed out.

Oh, my God.

[panting]

Stein is all in.

Stein is my person.

I know it. I believe it.

I do not think this man

is going to screw me over.

Like, he's just good people.

He has a good heart.

Red room, 312.

Huh.

It is life-changing money.

That would change

so much in my family's life.

It's gonna be insane.

Super, super difficult.

But I'm harnessing the whole power

of my family while I'm here in this game,

and I'm gonna do my absolute best to win.

I can be outta here by tonight.

-[intense music playing]

-[ticking]

[dramatic music playing]

How are you doing, Cynthia?

Girl, I'm good.

Yeah? Are you just

downstairs at the button?

Yeah. Same old, same old.

Same old, same old.

[Cynthia] But I'm on

high alert tonight, though.

[Athena S.]

That's right.

[dramatic music playing]

[ticking]

Alright. All systems go, people.

[Simu]

Mimi's meatballs are simmering.

-I gotta put gravy in the bottom.

-Are these Mimi's meatballs?

[Simu] And Spencer

is buttering up the cook.

These are usually sold out online.

-[Susan chuckles]

-I can't believe I get to,

I get to have some.

Wow.

[Simu] Susan's ally, Val,

is helping her come up with a master plan

combining her open sesame

with his k*ll switch.

[Val] Susan came up to me.

She has that "Open Sesame" again.

And she's not telling anybody.

She needs another person.

[Steven G.] An open sesame,

and also the watchtower k*ll switch,

it's a big control of power.

I think it's a huge play.

[suspenseful music playing]

So, we use that

and then, use hers as well.

Right, so we could,

we could, like, overlap.

Yeah.

I trust Val because he's always

really honest with me,

and I respect him,

and I, I know he's a genuine person.

And I trust Susan

because she's just straight up with you.

[Val]

I'm excited. I'm nervous.

I could literally taste the money.

We got three minutes.

Why don't we just time it

where you guys go to the open sesame,

and you [bleep] jet.

Who likes Mimi's meatballs?!

[Rob]

Mimi's meatballs!

My meatballs

are the perfect distraction.

And now it's time for me

to get ready for my escape.

I think I need another shower.

Susan, thank you so much for cooking.

You're welcome.

Tomorrow night I'm gonna

make you chicken cutlets.

We still have a bit of time,

so I wanna be well--

well-rested and ready to roll.

[Simu]

Back to the lovebirds.

Doodles is ready to share

his meatballs with Athena,

which is definitely one way

to strengthen an alliance.

Here we go.

-Should I go over there?

-[Jill] Get in there.

-Should I go over there?

-You better get ahead of me

because I can't do this forever.

-Get your a*s in there.

-[Doodles] Okay.

Well, don't you look lovely.

She is looking gorgeous.

She's the prettiest girl in here.

Let me take you to your seat.

Where'd you get this outfit?

-You like?

-[gasps] I love it. Give me a hug.

Oh, my God, this is so sweet.

[Doodles]

There's gonna be some surprises.

-[cork pops]

-[screams]

[laughs]

Opa!

We're gonna have

some Mimi's meatballs.

We're gonna make it fun.

This is so special.

Cheers.

It's so cute, it's so tiny.

Pinky up.

-[light classical music playing]

-[Rashad] Knock, knock. May I enter?

Oh, my God.

I've heard about this elegant dinner,

and I was asked to bring

this beautiful rose

for a beautiful lady

from my handsome fellow.

Thank you so much.

It's blue like the Greek flag.

Thank you.

-You got an NFL player to give me flowers?

-[tuts]

-[Rashad] That was cute.

-They're having a cute little date?

-[Rashad] Hm?

-They're having a cute little date?

[Rashad] It is.

[Yahné] I see Athena

and Oodles of Noodles on a date,

and, honestly, tacky.

I came here for money.

Athena, all yours, boo.

[Doodles] I'm realizing

that I really like Athena.

I wanna escape with her.

I think that would be so cool.

We'd be Bonnie and Clyde

riding off into the sunset.

[Simu] He knows how

Bonnie and Clyde ended, right?

Alright, don't tell him.

[Athena V.]

Oh!

-Thank you for coming with me.

-Look at you.

-Okay.

-I'm glad you said yes.

We've got 300K in the pot,

but we don't need

to worry about that tonight.

No, I wanna win a mil.

[Doodles]

Exactly.

Let me ask you a question.

Hm?

What's one thing that you're hiding

that you haven't told anyone else?

[Doodles]

Ahh. Interesting.

I know that Doodles is hiding something.

It's very obvious to me.

There's no depth

to any of the stories that he says.

Let's see, what is he gonna say?

Maybe I do have

some secrets that I can't say.

I, I want to divulge more about myself,

but blowing my cover could end up

blowing up everything in my game.

If she ends up telling other people,

then no one will trust me.

[suspenseful music playing]

[ticking]

-[Athena V.] As we were saying

-[Doodles] Yes.

How long do you think

I've gone by "Doodles"?

Five days?

Plus or minus.

Tell me more.

I'm a game designer.

[dramatic music playing]

[Athena V.] I knew

he was hiding something,

but this is a really pleasant surprise.

Oh, my God!

-[Doodles] So

-Are you serious?

obviously,

I can't tell anybody that.

Don't you dare say a word.

-You have my word.

-Mm-hm.

I think I'm a threat because

I've designed a lot of games in my life.

I have a natural built-in advantage

against these other players.

Trusting her with this information

is a massive leap of faith.

This is an opportunity to build

a really strong relationship with somebody

that will really help me in this game.

I came in here knowing

that I was not

going to tell a single soul.

And I never expected this.

[chuckles]

[laughs]

And I never expected you.

[Athena V.]

I am completely floored right now.

I've never met

a video game designer before.

I saw such a different side of him

'cause he's not the normal type

I would go out with,

and I'm really vibing with him right now.

I did not expect this.

He may be

the missing link to my game plan.

Next time I get an exit strategy

Mm-hm.

I think we can make this happen.

I'm hot again, I'm cold again.

What's going on with my body?

[chuckles]

[Simu] It's almost time

for Susan's open sesame

with her accomplices, Steven and Val.

[Val]

The plan is, he's gonna be the runner

'cause Steven is fast.

Susan is gonna meet Steven

in the green room.

They're gonna open the door

using Susan's clue of

open sesame at 310,000.

And then, that is my cue

to put the meatballs

in the microwave for three minutes

and that's gonna

disable the watchtower lever.

And by then, Steven should be

flying down the driveway

easily running out of the gate.

[suspenseful music playing]

[Steven G.] I'm feeling

so pumped about this plan.

I wanna win this money so bad.

You better believe

that I'm walking out with cash tonight.

So tired, Susan.

I think it's because of the

[Susan] The meatballs?

You're gonna blame my pasta?

-Get the [bleep] outta here.

-No.

Who's up on the tower?

Stein.

What's happening?

[exhales] You get tired

when you come up here.

[chuckles]

So, like, I was just walking around

checking the house.

Decided to look

at every window, just because.

I'm playing defense.

I'm protecting the pot.

I'm not letting anybody out.

And what is everyone doing?

Chillin'.

Like, it's, it's chilled right now.

[Val] I'm pacing back and forth,

I'm checking the window,

I'm checking the time.

[ticking]

[Susan] [grunts]

That's good.

[Val]

I am trying to keep my cool.

We haven't had this official talk,

but if you have an exit strategy,

I'll gladly run for you.

[Val chuckles]

-Mimi's meatballs ♪

-[Susan laughs]

[ticking]

[Val]

It is time.

I put together the perfect exit strategy.

I'm excited.

When the time is right,

I'm gonna start the microwave

and disable the watchtower lever.

[microwave beeps]

[timer ticking]

[dramatic music playing]

[Steven G.] The setup

that we have is perfect.

I need Susan because the open sesame

works with two people at the same time.

So, she has to be there.

[Lindsey]

How much pasta you eating?

-He's carbing up for his run.

-[Lindsey] Yeah.

[Val]

Anticipation is k*lling me.

Finally, this plan is working.

I'm staying in my room.

I'm being patient.

[intense music swells]

Open sesame.

What's it like, like, going out,

and, like, always being recognized?

You must get recognized

everywhere you go.

-Like, seriously.

-Not if I'm

-You're very recognizable.

-Not if I'm incog-n*gro.

[thrilling music playing]

-Five, six, seven, eight.

-Five, six, seven, eight.

[Steven G.]

Open sesame.

I'm waiting and I'm waiting.

No Susan in sight.

[Val]

It truly feels exhilarating.

It's all about to happen.

[Steven G.] Now I'm starting

to stress. Where is Susan?

This was a lovely date.

-I'd love to take you out on-- again.

-I would love that.

[Steven G.]

She gotta get to her window

so we can get this plan started.

[Simu]

Trust the process, Steven.

[Lindsey] You could do, like,

your jazz fingers there.

You could do this thing,

but it's all [indistinct]

[Athena S. laughs]

[Steven G.]

Where's Susan?

[music intensifies]

I don't see Susan.

[beeps]

[dramatic music playing]

[Steven G.]

Where is Susan?

[beeps]

[music continues]

[microwave beeps]

[Val]

I hope that Steven made it out.

I could taste the money

through the meatball sauce.

[Steven G.]

Walk out the bedroom,

and I noticed the clock time

has hit the limit.

[ticking]

What the [bleep] is going on?

-[Val] Where's Susan at?

-[indistinct chatter]

-[Rob] In red room.

-[Val] She out there?

[Rob]

I think she's down there, yeah.

[Val] I wanna thank her

for her meatballs.

[suspenseful music playing]

[snoring]

Susan is asleep.

[snoring continues]

Susan, you just cost me $312,000.

-[whimsical music playing]

-[snoring continues]

Mimi's meatballs.

Mimi's [bleep] meatballs.

[bleep] Susan.

Amazing.

[inhales and exhales deeply]

Dreaming about those meatballs.

Why Susan decides

that this is the best time for a nap

I will never know.

Does anybody wanna play pool?

[dramatic music playing]

[tense music playing]

[Steven G.]

[bleep] happened to Susan?

She fell asleep.

-No [bleep] way.

-She's sleeping in there.

[snoring]

-We [bleep] had it.

-[Steven G.] I know we did.

We [bleep] had it.

This was, like, a clear way

out of this house.

We just missed on a 300K deal,

and Susan's just there

probably in her third REM sleep.

I actually can't believe

she was actually sleeping.

[Susan]

I open my eyes,

walk outta my bedroom

towards the pool table.

On my way there,

I look over at the money clock

and went [gasps]

[ticking]

I missed it. I missed it.

I'm waiting for Susan,

but I'm, like, maybe she's just slow.

[laughing] Oh, my God,

this is so [bleep].

-[bleep].

-waiting for you.

-You let me sleep?

-Susan, I've been waiting.

Why didn't you come and wake me up?

[Steven G./Val laughing]

I couldn't believe this.

-We had it, Susan. We had it.

-It was a done deal.

[Susan]

Shut up!

[Val laughing]

I was waiting for you

for an hour back there.

-[Val] You know why?

-Why didn't you come get me?

-I know. We had it.

-Just under three minutes.

-[crosstalk]

-No, don't tell me that.

[Steven G.] Well, then let's break.

Let's play. Let's play.

It's the [bleep] meatballs.

They put you to sleep.

"Val! I slept through

our exit strategy!"

[whimsical music playing]

[Susan] This was

one hell of an expensive nap.

A $300,000 nap.

This episode will be

called "Mimi's Meatballs."

I hope I look refreshed.

[chuckles]

My meatballs knocked me out.

[laughs]

[whimsical music playing]

I went to sleep.

I woke up, I came out, it was over.

[laughing]

I missed it.

What, what in the world is so

[Shane] [laughing]

She fell asleep during her exit time.

[Cynthia]

I love me some Susan.

Best thing outside of

making meatballs in this house

was to fall asleep

during her escape time.

You cannot make it up.

Everyone is so distracted at this point

that I'm just flying under the radar.

Thank you, Susan.

I'll never live this down

for as long as I live.

[Simu]

No, no, you won't.

And with streaming,

it's available on demand forever.

[ticking]

-Have you jumped out a window yet?

-No.

All the front windows are, like, good.

-The best one's the bathroom.

-[Stein] Yeah, yeah.

-[Rashad] You can close the door.

-[Stein] Yeah.

[Rashad] And people

really low key don't go through it.

-Yeah.

-[Rashad] That's, that's too easy money.

[Stein]

Uh, uh, is it cool if I go downstairs?

-[Spencer] Do you have an exit strategy?

-[Stein] Nope.

'Cause if you do, maybe you tell me now

so I don't hit that little latch on you.

[Stein]

I would, man, I would.

Or yell up if you change your mind.

-[tense music playing]

-[ticking]

[Cynthia]

I, literally, have not seen Stein

since I gave him

the offer to partner with me.

And, all of a sudden,

he casually comes downstairs.

Smooth operator.

[Cynthia] If it doesn't work,

don't worry about it.

My heart is pounding out of my chest

because it's getting close to go time.

[Stein]

I'm ready.

It's probably unlikely this is gonna work.

It's unlikely because everybody

is on the button,

everybody is like watching.

[Stein] No. No, I have a plan.

He basically looked in my face

and assured me

that he would be able

to get out of the house.

Honestly, I'm quite confident about this.

-[Cynthia] Oh, sh*t.

-[Stein chuckles]

$312 right?

-[Cynthia] Mm-hm.

-[Stein] 312?

-312?

-[Cynthia] 312, yeah.

[mumbles]

[indistinct conversation]

[Clare]

Where's Stein?

-[Stein] I'm right here.

-[Cynthia] He's right here.

[Clare] Oh, okay.

I'm, like, I haven't seen him in forever.

-Where? Right there?

-[Cynthia] He's right here.

-He sitting right here.

-[Clare] Oh, okay, okay.

-Who's, who's, uh

-[Clare] Who's ups-- Who's up top?

-Rashad and, uh, Spencer.

-[Clare] They're up top?

-Uh, yeah, I just got down.

-[Clare] Okay.

[suspenseful music playing]

[Rashad]

Whoever gets out,

you gotta make sure

they taking people with 'em

or else it's gonna mess up the pot

for everybody else along the way.

[tense music playing]

[Val]

You good?

[Stein]

Oh, dude, I'm [bleep] chillin'.

[both laugh]

Let me know if you want me to take over.

-Thank you.

-[Val] Yes.

[Cynthia] I've been a mess

ever since I got this clue.

But there is something

about Stein's very calm,

confident presence that's actually

making me feel like

we could actually pull this off.

-Rob.

-[Rob] Mm-hm.

Do you wanna play?

I'm-- I'll come down in a little bit.

I'm good. Thank you.

[Val]

I'll take your spot if you want.

[ticking]

[tense music playing]

[Cynthia]

These people believe

that I am the one

to trust at the button.

[Lindsey]

Where've you been?

[Stein] How are y'all doing?

I was on the watchtower for a few hours.

-[Clare] Oh, wow.

-[Stein] Yeah, yeah. So [chuckles]

[Omarosa] I'm gonna get

early morning shift again as usual.

[Stein]

Respect.

[Cynthia] I have one job.

I gotta manage this button.

He actually has the hardest part.

He's gotta get his butt outta here

and make it to the gate.

Good night, Stein.

[Stein] Good night.

I hope you sleep great.

[suspenseful music playing]

[ticking]

[snoring]

Yeah, I don't like the smell of coffee.

-[Val] The thing about these pants is

-[Susan laughs]

I've been watching people

try to escape from the last few nights.

And I've been listening

and I've been paying attention,

and I've been, like, observing.

I know exactly where to run.

I feel like this is gonna work.

Who is Cynthia working with?

Like, she

She's just, like, like, down, you know?

[Rashad] She holds that button down,

if we clocking hours,

more than anybody.

-[suspenseful music swells]

-[ticking]

[thrilling music playing]

-How'd the date go?

-It was lovely.

[music continues]

It's comical.

I'm, I'm understanding

the name of the show now.

Got to Get Out.

I got to, but I can't.

If you told somebody,

"Hey, yo, if I get out, I got a plan.

If I get out,

I give you a cut," would you?

[suspenseful music playing]

Just put pieces

to the puzzle together,

or you already know that.

Either way

[Spencer]

You can tell me. I don't know.

[thrilling music playing]

[Spencer] Oh, wait, did you

just watch somebody run by?

[Rashad]

Maybe?

[Spencer]

What the [bleep]?

[alarm blaring]

-[Clare] What

-[Cynthia] Whoa!

Cynthia's got it.

[blaring continues]

[thrilling music playing]

[music fades out]
