It wouldn't close

and a second wave of Barbarossa's

monsters was on the way.

[groaning]

My mom knew what she had to do

to buy my father time

to get the portal closed.

She had to go out

and protect us all.

And so, with the general

and a few of our elite guard, she did.

[baby Merlinda crying]

I'm so sorry, Merlinda.

We know what it's like

to grow up without a mom too.

Ours died when we were young.

That symbol, it looks so familiar.

It's the symbol of Mertropia.

My mother gave this to me

the night she disappeared.
