Then after, I'd kind of be like,
"But he didn't really give me anything."

"I don't actually know how he feels
or if he likes me."

he's not really
given me much to go off of."

But, like, every time I heard your voice,
I got excited.

I was like, "Okay, maybe at some point
it'll just hit him, like it did for me."

This feels really good

This experience,
it's amazing in so many different ways.

I've grown so much.

Not only in how I feel about a girl,
but also how I approach things.

I think even stuff

A lot of us probably back home
before this were,

guys that just didn't talk about feelings.

We thought we were too cool.

Then you come here and it's just like,
"Okay, this is freeing."

It's a really cool thing to see.

Outside of family, I've never felt loved
on the inside before.

I've always assumed it started with,
like, I played baseball at Minnesota,

or, like, I was
a good athlete in high school.

I've never felt like
people have truly loved me for me

just based on what's in here
and what's in here.

That's just stuff that came secondary
to all the other stuff.

And I've realized that,
like, Lauren loves me for me.

I really feel like we both
are in love with each other.

I hate that it took me
this long to figure that out,

but I had to do it this way,
and I'm happy that I did.

drew every picture in this book.

Over 20 years of her life,

she painted all of these pictures,
traveled to Guatemala many times

and tried to tell the history
of Guatemala through this book.

-It's one of her life achievements.

[Alex] I remember as a kid,
we'd wake up super early in the morning,

her and I would be drinking hot chocolate,
and we'd be painting together.

And she would tell me these
different stories about this book

and about Guatemala,

and that's really
what sparked my interest in traveling

and different ways of life and art.

And I love painting now,

and I love music
and just being creative because of that.

and what happened,
and relationships in your life, and…

he was really devastated.

situation being in the pod.

and then he also loved her,

and he thought you were the choice
to go with,

so he committed to you,
and then he realized

that wasn't an option,
but he still loved the other person,

so he just was gonna do
whatever it took to get her.

It's uncomfortable for someone
to be like, "I'm committed to you."

And then the next day just be like,
"I didn't mean that."

You know? Like,
imagine if I did that to you.

-It was really upsetting to me.

I understand that perspective.

I'm just a very understanding person.

Like, imagine if there were two me's

like, very conflicted still today.

But I wasn't.

If there were two of me

and you really felt the same way
for both of them,

and you had to make
a game-time decision to pick one of them.

That wasn't my issue at all.
That was Meg's issue.

he was dating other people.

I was not bothered by that at all.

She was though.

My issue was that he said something
and then took it back.

Obviously, everyone makes mistakes,
whatever, but that was just like, "Ugh."
