and there's something very interesting

you know books can help you to do

better than you do them now

but this is a very strange book teddy

so far we're really in business do you

because this is so interesting first of

all what is this

what done yes just washing

dish washing soap very good it's

actually dishwashing detergent but

that's exactly what it is dishwashing

stuff who knows what this is yes but

milk and what do you think these little

uh food coloring food coloring is what

they are now what on earth is this

person going to do with these three

things what put it into a bowl

he just figured that out huh that's why

the first thing this is called erupting

colors does anybody know what erupting

or you know what else fireworks erupt

and we're going to make fireworks in the

bowl only these are safe fireworks these

are the kind of fireworks you can have

all year long you don't have to wait for

the fourth of july they're very safe you

can have these fireworks in your kitchen

because they're based on milk

into a baking pan

you pour a little whole milk that means

it's not skim milk or low-fat milk it's

whole milk thank you trivel

now you take food coloring and you put

a drop of a couple of colors i'm gonna

put one drop

of each color maybe i'll put more i like

red

and i like blue so i'll put one there

and one there okay now

it looks like i have a bowl full of milk

which has a little

coloring

please watch very closely because it's

going to erupt when i pour a drop

of dishwashing detergent into the food

colors i'm going to start over here

watch it erupt

is that something mm-hmm is that

beautiful it's like a client a lot of

like rainbow it's like a rainbow

actually it's way more ice cream rainbow

ice cream that sounds delicious too and

it keeps changing

and it keeps moving

and it goes on

and on

and whenever it stops all you do is you

add a little more detergent and you

watch it change what's happening milk is

a combination of fat and water and when

you put the uh detergent in the fat and

the water separate and that pushes the

colors all apart and you know what the

nicest thing is because of the soap in

the dish when you're all finished with

this craft

it cleans up after itself

it's bet your time it's bet your time

and though i've never met yet i know

something you can't do i bet your bet

teddy bear jumped into my arms and he

said let's dance

and that's when a hush puppy piped in

not just you sherry everyone all you

guys out there

go get a teddy bear for a partner and if

you do not have one just make believe

you got an arm full of bear and everyone

everywhere let's do the two-step teddy

now if everyone's ready it's time to

pick up your teddy and hold him tight in

your arms while we learned her two step

you know he was famous because he once

saved the life of a little baby bear

saved it from a hunter

and so when a toy company made a fuzzy

stuffed toy bear they called it

teddy after president teddy roosevelt

now lots of boys are named teddy too and

when one of them teddy tilson had a

birthday party his cousin barbara gave

him one of those stuffed teddy bears and

said

teddy is a very important name

there are two famous teddies that i know

of

one of them is teddy roosevelt and the

other is teddy bear i couldn't get the

president teddy roosevelt to come and

visit you but i've bought you

teddy bear

soon afterward cousin barbara moved away

and she didn't see teddy tilson for many

years when she met him next it was at

the fifth birthday party

what do you want to be when you grow up

cousin cousin barbara asks

you want to be a giraffe

well now when teddy was asked what he

wanted to be teddy tilson said i want to

be another famous teddy and barbara was

impressed so she said you want to be

president of the united states

no the boy giggles i want to be a bear

i want to be a fellow
