what do you do here well we're a

material recovery facility and we take

in all kinds of recyclables we have

trucks dumping behind us we have about

200 to 250 trucks a day come through

here once the material is dumped on our

floor here it's put onto a conveyor belt

well here we have what they call sorters

that are separating the newspaper and

the corrugated you're creating two

different commodities there they're all

playing looking for some trash it might

be there or some office paper so you get

a mix of materials it comes in and will

go out as three or four separate

different commodities

all neighbors thankful this kind of

paper well what we'll do let's take for

instance cardboard they'll take

cardboard you'll separate it here

they'll bail it you'll put it on a truck

in a way it'll go to a mill once it gets

to a bell it'll go into a big vat of hot

water essentially it's like I'm being

put in a big world full tub and that

bale will eventually dissolve into what

they call a slurry and eventually be

made into brand-new cars or half the

paper we use in our daily lives has

already been recycled once a for 50% of

what we use has been through this

process

this secret so much so why should we

recycle when you can take a bail like

this and look at it and say that you're

saving up to 15 trees per Bale I think

there's a pretty significant reason

right there that so late these all these

stacks of bills each bills like 15

cheese

exactly exactly right and from here

these bales will get loaded onto a truck

and brought to a mill where they will

actually take this paper here and create

with this particular Bale they'll create

tissue paper or toilet paper for reusing

how many bales are here we do about five

hundred dollar bills a day Wow

but anything he throws about 15 to

something each male represents about 15

trees that we can say but

that's virtually about a forest today

whoa so like if we didn't recycle would

be like that's a lot of force gone so

like the force everyday would be gone
