today on Zoom

you will learn how to make a fun

Halloween costume a robot a milk carton

and a TV set all of these costumes are

made out of a cardboard box find ones

that are big enough to fit over your

body then cut off the bottom and cut

holes for your head and arms you'll need

a go-go to help you with this part the

first costume is a robot in addition to

the box here's what you'll need to make

one a little cardboard box I want the

front and part of one side

pythons clear headlights aluminum foil

paint and lastly silver face book here's

what you'll do take the small box on top

of the larger box this will begin with

my test decorate the head any way you'd

like I decorated it with pipe cleaners

and foil baking cups then cut knobs and

control buttons out of cardboard paint

them and glue them to the box

now just let the paint and glue dry and

you fill the face paint for your robot

face and then your robot Thank You

you favorite Halloween costume my

favorite costume was when I was a little

kid I was an elf and I just thought it

was the coolest kid on the block

Halloween costume is being a horse when

raptor my favorite Halloween costume is

Joe's Maggio because he's a very good

player for the Yankees my favorite

Halloween costume is a ghost I favorite

Halloween costume is what I'm going to

do this year wanna be a snake costume

which I made myself with my best friend

a witch because I like spirited

why what do you call a ghost that makes

a lot of mistakes I don't know see this

funnel if I put a ping pong ball in it

like this the ball stays in but if I

hold the funnel upside down gravity will

pull the ball out watch see well

Courtney H of Geneva Nebraska challenged

us to defy gravity she wants us to use a

funnel to carry a ping pong ball from

this line to this line the trick is the

large end of the funnel has to be facing

upside down okay so using a funnel

upside down we have to carry ping pong

ball in it from that one to that one

right okay

and we can't put our fingers under the

ball like this or we can suck on it like

that

all right well I'm pretty tough okay

let's figure out how to do this I think

have an idea well if we put a ping pong

ball in our cup in a funnel like desk

and it's run fast enough so if we run

across it where the air is pushing it

the ears to be head upside down though

no it hit me if you hadn't got a slight

angle

you can't cos s be facing up to them to

grow us thinking is you know if we told

it like this then we ran across well you

get it but it has to be facing down

I think it works because it's it's like

air pressure is pushing up on it when

you're blowing down it's it's keep

pulling off the air pressure so it's

spinning in and keep your head spinning

so thing is that you're blowing on it

and then and you're also pushing down

put an air pressure pushing up but so

when it does that it kind of sandwiches

the ball oh good job well

yeah hell no now I'm going to show you

how to make the milk carton costume in

addition to a cardboard box you'll need

some extra cardboard some white paint

and other colored paint to decorate the

box and some white face paint for a milk

mustache here's what you need to do to

make it taste the extra cardboard

together make a 10 shape just like that

now bend down the top two inches of the

10th

kate together toss five inches of the

10th to look like a flap cut a hole your

face in the middle of one of the sides

of the tent take the tent to the top of

the cardboard box now paint the entire

box white and let it dry accent paint to

dry paint milk is big lettuce on the far

side of the Box you can paint all over

the box or decorate it any way you'd

like you can even look at it real milk

carton for inspiration now paint a white

milk mustache on your upper lip using

base base you can have your friend just

up as a cookie see you bus such a nice

costume

next stop is the TV costume

hi my name is Maya be at 11 years old

and I live in Minneapolis Minnesota and

this is harder to be a puppet in that

cedar this is an elephant and two people

go inside both of them work with

cardboard paper mache clay and you put

all different kinds of things together

and paint it and then first Sunday in

May there's a big amazing prayed maybe

my favorite time of year because it's

sunny and it's warm and I get to see all

my friends my mom got up on the steps

and I realize that is cool and I looked

out of stilt and I found the places but

I can't stop the very long because I'll

fall if I don't keep moving the day

before the plagues get in our stilts and

heavily personal I am putting the rubber

band around my feet to my feet tape in

place the knees of the steps to tie me

in or ice all out and this is my mom can

and we have to get this really tight

because if we don't get the drilling

pipe it will flip out home is that

tighter

how's that feels good

it's exciting when you're up there you

can see more and people look a lot

shorter like I get to be taller than

them

there's a big play there's a lot of

people that come and watch I was being

in front of a crowd it's really realized

and I find it a lot of fun because you

get to show people your creativity and

what you're able to do if your craziness

you're adventurous you have to try this

because it's just amazing

California hmm um every Saturday but we

are like my whole family comes young and

we always watch a movie together

Christmas I go to my grandmother's house

and we have a Yankee Swap oh oh if you

when you like y'all pick a number and

then you can like whoever has the

highest number can trade presents with

my buddy yeah didn't trade presences

I don't know if this is a family

tradition but like my mom always goes

out with me to go get my Christmas

present

that's a tradition because it's for the

Bauman's yeah every Christmas or cuz she

never does what I want so I only open

one gift on Christmas Eve I do that I

did not hear I did the caller all I'm

sure that I I even know that every

Friday I feel me a pizza oh I think this

is a family tradition because made us

like situation you always have rice and

beans

and with chicken or something else with

turkey something else it's always rice

and beans um in Creole we call it jewy

always go on vacations in the summer I

happen to meet one of my traditions

because I was never new out of school so

I always wondered how someone had a new

school felt this book explains it

perfectly but it made me try to make

friends with some people that were new

in my class thanks for letting me share

one of my favorite stories now would

happens when I hold the cup the water

pours out of the holes because of

gravity but when the water and the cup

fall together the water doesn't need

it's candy stops the cup from falling

the water requires the holes again okay

ready this is probably hard to see on TV

so try it at home and if you come up

and after a television costume in

addition to a cardboard box you also

need plastic wrap for the TV screen

construction paper tin foil and a hat

band for the antenna and pink serves up

you get as an adult kind of logic

angular hole in front of the box like

that then take the plastic wrap inside

of the box max that's the name of your

favorite TV show out of construction

paper and tape it to the box crap

and this will be your TV space paint

battles in front of the box or MiG's mat

of cardboard and glue them on canacee

antennae blow up a two-foot long piece

of tinfoil and bend it at the middle and

attach it to the hog and with tape you

can also make yourself a little clicker

with cardboard and buttons now we're all

ready to go trick-or-treating what's the

put two buckets at the opposite side of

the room one for each team to play

teammates race to their bucket and try

to dump their popcorn into the bucket

without using your hands then they run

back to their team and tell you the next

person in line whoever has the most

popcorn in their bucket after one minute

wins and by the way losing team has to

clean up okay guys ready man good
