Well, there they go! Three steals.

Seven game-changing steals have shaken up

the competition forever.

It's tough this year.

I have a great team, you know?

I think we all have wonderful teams

with a lot of really different,
interesting characters.

Daly: Now it's the final night of battles.

Daly: And some of
the most talented performers

have yet to take the stage.

I'm not going home.
I'm gonna win the battle.

Daly: To help prepare them,
the coaches have recruited

some of the biggest names in music...

Only a few spots remain.

Blake: Now, this is where
you bring your "A" game.

Whoever does the best wins.

Cee Lo: Again, I'm very confident
about my team for season 3.

Even though it's gonna be
a disappointment to some,

I think I could very possibly
have the winner.

The artists will have to give
the performance of their lives.

Daly: And since Christina
has the only steal left,

there's no room for error.

Christina: There are
some great battles coming up,

so I have some more button pushing to do.

Daly: In the end, only one will win it all

and be named "The Voice."

get settled in,

let's meet our first battle pairing...



versus the 21-year-old
Georgia native Jordan Pruitt.

During the blind auditions,

we learned Adriana survived
a traumatic experience.

Adriana: This g*ng came to our
house and held us at gunpoint.

My music entirely got me
through that situation.

And her performance blew all four coaches away.

Jordan: Now that I'm a woman, I
want a career outside of Disney,

and I think this show
will help me do that.

Daly: ...Found a fan in Christina.

Christina: I think the world could
use another great pop star,

and, you know, who better
to coach them but me?

Hi, guys.

I know you. I love your band.

Jordan: Oh, my gosh,
I was actually really surprised

because he's a completely different genre

than Christina Aguilera.

The advice will be priceless.

- So how are you guys feeling?
- Look at our hands.

- Nervous?
- Nervous.

That's what rehearsing is good for.

- Yes.
- It gets the nerves out.

This is, like, overwhelming.

Adriana and Jordan are classic,
born-to-do-it pop stars.

I just knew that a song like

"Hot 'n' cold" by Katy Perry
was a great fit for them.

Billie Joe: Jordan had a really
great raspiness to her vocal.

When she first started singing the song,

I thought she was sounding like

she had a professional side of her.

Christina: Okay, okay.

I'm noticing that...
maybe it's nerves or whatnot...

but I feel like you're
showing me a little more bite

and a little more edge to your voice,

and I feel like you're holding
almost back a little bit.

I... I would like to actually hear
a little bit more

of that aggression in your voice.

Adriana: Jordan...
she's performed for crowds

of like tens of thousands of people,

whereas I'm just waitressing
and doing music tutoring,

same as every struggling musician does.

So it's a little nerve-racking knowing

that she has all this experience on me.

'Cause you guys are... are really good,

I can tell, at emulating a voice.

And Katy Perry... you know,
she has a specific tone,

and you guys tap right into that.

But I think that the notes
that you can take onto

is how to make it truly your own.

Billie: - You guys both have great voices.
- I know.

Yeah, I think it's a matter
of finding that balance

of where you guys are,
like, singing a duet...

- Yeah...
- But at the same time,

you're totally competing
against each other.

Daly: With the battle fast approaching,

Adriana and Jordan have their
final rehearsal with Christina.

- You know, you can... you can elongate that.

That'll give you a minute to,
you know, have your solo moment.

Jordan's a very well-controlled singer,

but something that she could work on

is venturing out and being a
little bit more of a risk-taker.

And, actually,
that's something I would like

to get more out of the two of you...

it's a very kind of cutesy melody.

I want you to get a little bit
more aggressive with it.

Jordan: Trying new things is
always gonna be a little scary.

Because I worked with Disney for so long,

it was kind of like a security blanket.

But I'm open to the challenge.

I think I have an aggressive personality.

People just haven't seen it yet.

You can milk that last note
and overlap her a little bit.

Just take advantage of those moments.

There's so many different layers
to being a pop star.

They have to exude power and presence,

being able to connect with that crowd.

And it's gonna be interesting to see

who brings what to the table
on the day of the actual battle

because, right now,
it's pretty neck and neck.

Daly: It's the night of the battle,

and our two artists are making
their way to the stage.

Adriana: Before the blind auditions,

I have not been on a stage
in 2 or 3 years.

I've sung my entire life
but never really for crowds.

The fact that Christina gave me validation

and I've looked up to her
for so many years...

whew!... blows me away.

And after all I've been through,
like, I... I can't leave now.

I need to show her.

Jordan: I experienced success
at such a young age,

and I feel like this is my second chance.

What I really, really enjoyed

was the fact that you both
are competitive vocalists,

like the Olympics up there.

You know what I mean?
Really going for the gold.

Adriana, you... you really took
the opportunity

to take that high note.

Ooh, you got that feist about you.

Jordan, you should kind of know

that she's gonna take that point.

Then you, you know,
find another space to do it

but equally as grand,

and you didn't necessarily do that

on this particular battle.

At first, I thought Adriana,

and then, because, Jordan,
your peak came at the end to me,

Everything they said
is exactly right about you.

Jordan has a break in her voice
during her runs,

and I've never heard anything like that.

In my opinion,
Jordan is one of those people

that have found a way to...
to sing like nobody else,

that I don't have a steal left

because I would...
I would probably pick Jordan.

"I wish that you would have
taken more risks,"

but you added a lot of ad-libs
and a lot of soul.

And to be able to own that
is... is amazing.

Adriana, you were able to
hit some crazy notes...

like "G" or F-sharp... you went there.

And that's something
that you naturally do have,

and that's what I connected with.

Um...

that come from two different backgrounds.

One is definitely a punk rock,

and one of them is straight-up country.

They're gonna be doing some Joan Jett,

because, musically,

that song could easily
be on country radio today.

So I think it's a good mix

Michael: Michaela's you know,
a 60-year-old black woman

trapped in the body of a blond punk girl.

It gives you a lot of room for
ad-libbing and stuff like that.

with you, over-singing and
trying to pack too many things

into a very simple melody.

Sometimes, it's like,
"can she not sing that note"

"and that's why she's doing that?"

I wanted to see which one of these girls

can hit those notes

without having to change the melody

'cause then you kind of start taking away

from the point of the song.

You know what? She's really singing out,

and you're still a little... timid.

The uphill challenge for Kelly

kind of like,

the most seasoned performer.

They're both teenagers,
and moving forward,

I kind of lost my control at some points.

So that's gonna be something
