-[engine starting]
-Bye-bye, be good now.
-[Bugs] Bye-bye, Granny!
-[Lola] Bye, Granny!
Where are we going today, Floyd?
A video arcade?
The park playground?
Laundromat!
[both] Hmm.
Taz likes spinny clothes.
No, we're going to the art museum.
Who's this guy Art?
And why does he have a museum?
It's not Art's Museum, it's an art museum.
So will there be video games?
Or swimming?
No, an art museum is where you go
to look at art, like statues
or the drawings in Tweety's picture book.
I'll be your docent.
You will?
That's great!
-What's a docent?
-Docent.
Blow spit!
Taz means well.
What is a docent?
A docent is what you call a museum guide
who teaches you about the art.
You know, I'll bet I can get you
as excited about art as I am.
Ehh, I kind of doubt it, doc.
[Daffy]
Yeah, nobody can be as excited as you.
[Floyd] Here we are.
Any questions so far?
-[Taz laughing]
-Yes, when's lunch?
-[Taz laughing]
-Taz.
Huh?
[Floyd] This is one of my favorites.
It's Rodan's The Tinker.
Some guy made this big thing out of clay?
That's right, Bugs.
Then he cast it in a metal called bronze.
When does it start to move?
What do you mean?
You know,
like at Dizzyland or Bucky Wheeze.
The statues come to life
and put on a show.
The statues in a museum
don't put on shows.
They're meant to be
looked at and appreciated.
-When you look at a piece of art...
-Boring.
I'll be sitting over here
when you're ready to blow this dump.
Hey! Say, what's the big idea?
You can't sit in that chair.
Why? Is it broken?
No, it's an exhibit.
That chair is an original from the palace
of Louis XIV of France.
Wow. He was the 14th person
to own this chair?
It must be really, really old.
Louis the 14th was
the King of France a long time ago.
Which does make this chair very old.
And beautiful.
Ooh. This lady needs to see the dentist.
Why do you say that?
Because it looks like
it hurts her to smile.
She's called The Lonely Lisa.
And the artist Leonardo DaPinci
painted her that way.
What kind of a place is this?
You have statues that don't talk,
chairs you can't sit on,
and a lady with a toothache.
Well, if it won't get
anyone's diapers in a bind,
I'm just gonna wait here
until we're ready to leave.
You're missing out, Daffy.
When you look at a piece of art,
it should speak to you.
Well, make up your mind.
You just told me it doesn't talk.
Not in words,
but you should feel something
when you look at art.
For instance,
what do you feel
when you look at this painting?
An artist did that?
I'm just a little kid,
and I could've painted that.
Ah. But the point is, you didn't.
What does everybody else think?
There's your answer, Big Mister.
They're off playing somewhere.
Now, if you don't mind...
[yawning]
I'm gonna take a nap.
Why can't I get through to them?
[rock music playing]
Hey, Floyd,
we're tired and ready to go home now.
Fine.
I'll just take you all home
and go to school
so I can figure out where I went wrong.
I guess I haven't learned anything
about being a teacher.
[yawns] Can we go to the video arcade now?
[Bugs] Hey, guys, let's play museum.
I'll be the docent.
And now, if you will all come this way,
we'll look at the living room display.
Over here we have...
Hey! What's going on?
And how come I wasn't invited?
I'm giving tours as the docent.
That's a guide for Granny's Museum.
And, we know how much
you don't like museums.
He's fooling you.
This isn't a museum.
It's the same Granny house
that she's always had.
Whatever you say.
Now over here...
Oh, for Pete's sake!
This is just a chair.
See? I'm sitting in it.
If it was art,
I couldn't sit in it, right?
Wrong.
Let me tell you about this chair.
Way before Granny had it...
The story begins
in the court of King Tazzy the Ate.
Taz not eight yet!
[Bugs] Not eight like 8 years old.
"Ate" like in "after I eat, I ate."
Ah, okay.
[Bugs] King Tazzy the Ate loved to eat,
but he was too short to reach the table.
[crying]
Taz hungry!
[Bugs] So the Royal Thinkers came to try
and figure out how to get
King Tazzy his dinner
before he got much thinner
and disappeared.
When I say go, we'll pull on the rope,
which will lift
King Tazzy up to the table.
[Taz] Oh, Taz ready to eat.
Yeah, yeah, yeah!
Ready, set, go!
[both grunting]
Whoa!
[both] Whoa!
[crashes]
No. I never knew eating
was so dangerous.
I despise loud noises!
[crying]
King hungry!
Poor King Tazzy.
If we can't get him up to the table,
he'll go poof!
And so will our jobs.
Hmm. I think I have a plan
that will save us all!
Help me with this chair.
Taz not wanna eat chair!
[crying]
Don't worry, Your Kingship.
This will work, I hope.
[Bugs] The Royal Thinkers
worked all through the night
and the next day.
[Taz crying]
Taz hungry!
We present the tall chair!
-High.
-Oh, yeah, right.
The high chair!
[Taz] Yes!
[grumbles indistinctly]
Oh, Taz like it!
Taz like it!
[Bugs] And so King Tazzy the Ate
finally, uh, ate.
[burps]
Over the years,
the long legs of the chair got worn away.
And today that chair
is right here in Granny's living room.
Or as I like to call it, Granny's Museum.
That was a really great story,
Mr. Docent.
Well, it was okay.
But what else is in this room?
What about this hat?
I always kind of liked this hat.
You know, it's funny you should pick this.
Because that's the next story
I was about to tell you.
It takes place in the workshop
of Leonardo DaDaffy.
Hey. I like this story already.
[Bugs] Leonardo was an inventor.
Say, Mr. DaDaffy,
what's that you're working on?
It's a peanut butter
and jelly sandwich, wanna try it?
[Bugs]
You didn't really invent that, did you?
I thought you invented the helicopter.
I did.
But I'm afraid of heights.
At least peanut butter and jelly
doesn't leave the ground.
[knocking on door]
Ah, that's probably Lonely Lola Lisa,
the model I'm going to paint
for my next masterpiece.
Hi, Lonely Lola.
Go sit over there by the easel
and see if you can work up a smile.
[groans] I'll try.
Oh, come on.
You can do better than that.
[groaning]
Coochie-coochie-coo!
Hmm.
[groaning]
All right then.
[shouting]
Okay, sister.
You're forcing me
to break out the A material.
[knuckles cracking]
[laughing]
I don't hear any laughing.
I give up!
There's nothing I can do
to make you laugh.
Oops!
That's amusing.
Oh, I'll take what I can get.
[Bugs] And that's how Leonardo DaDaffy
painted his masterpiece,
The Lonely Lisa.
And this is the very hat he wore
when he painted the picture.
[all] Ooh!
[Tweety] That's great.
Art is fun when you know
the stories behind it.
[all laughing]
[all] Floyd!
What's this all about?
Thanks for taking us
to the art museum this morning.
Yeah, Floyd, thanks.
You too, Daffy?
I thought you were bored at the museum.
Yeah, I was.
But then Bugs made me see
what you were trying to do.
And now I wanna see more.
Uh,
I can schedule another trip in two weeks.
Why wait?
We don't have to go anywhere.
There's always the kitchen.
Now pay close attention
to Granny's old mixing spoon.
[all] Ooh!
