[dramatic instrumental music]

- In the world of Spyre
did prophecy foretell

that the dragon Kalvaxus
would rise to power

when once more were seven maidens chained

at the mouth of his cave.

What the prophecy could not predict

was what the seven had
in store for the world.

United by prophecy, bound by friendship,

the seven Maidens would quickly become

one of Spyre's premier
parties of teen heroes

and all-star students at the
Aguefort Adventuring Academy.

Y'all want to play some D&D?
[players cheering]

Hello one and all and welcome
to another thrilling episode

of Dimension 20 "The Seven."

I'm your humble dungeon
master Brennan Lee Mulligan.

With me as always are our
Heroic High Schoolers.

Say hi, Heroic High Schoolers.

- [Players] Hi, Heroic High Schoolers.

- Last we left off we were
racing across the stone bridges

and vast chasms of the
Temple of the Earth Defiant

looking for the lost superintendent

of the Solysian school
system, Tectonya Karkovnya.

However, as some monstrosities and Fey

that seem to be strange hybrids of beasts

here in the Mountains
of Chaos, ether beasts,

a mixture of blink dogs
and displacer beasts

and these temple harpies,
strange Fey harpy creatures

with leaf-like wings descended

to prevent our bold adventurers

from closing in on their target.

We know that safety lies in the sanctum

of the Temple of the Earth Defiant

for even though these advanced
guard of monstrosities

bedevil us now, you see
coming through the sky

and coming up the mountain behind you

even more of these
monstrosities to follow.

We return now to pitched combat!

Antiope Jones, your turn is concluded.

- Yes!
- From the previous episode.

- Finally.
- And what a turn it was.

- Are we gonna recap any of that?

- Not gonna recap.

Oh fine, I suppose we
can recap that a swarm

of magical geese
absolutely f*cked the king

of the ether beasts, Kurraghran and-

- Gaggle.
- And the Harpy Queen

of the Mountains of Chaos
was grounded in a single hit

from a wing shot from
the bow of Antiope Jones.

[Aabria cheers]
Absolutely wild.

Not even first round,
first half of a round.

Speaking of which, we start
with some concentration checks.

I am going to need, Antiope,
you've taken no damage

thus far, correct?
- Correct.

- Penny, you've taken no
damage thus far, correct.

- Correct, somehow.

- Danielle, you took 45
points of damage, correct?

- I did.

- So you're going to need to make me

a DC 22 constitution saving throw.

- With advantage?
- With advantage.

- Because of w*r Caster, right?

- Because of w*r Caster, that's correct.

- 21.
- What?

Wow, that was very close.

I am so sorry, 21, not 22, brutal.

You rolled an 18 on the die?
- Yeah.

- Oh my God.

In that blast of light
from the Harpy Queen

you lose concentration on Conjure Animals.

- Ah, my geese!

- So you only got to do 70 damage once.

- Oh.
- So good though.

- And you'll have to cast it
again if you want do it again.

[players laughing]

I know what's coming for me, all right.

I'm gonna take my little
Vs where I can get 'em.

A little victory for the DM
here with a concentration save.

Katja Cleaver, that is your turn.

- Yeah so there's one of these
guys right in front of me.

I wanna hit with my ax,

with my Vicious Great Ax.

- Amazing, so you are attacking.

- [Rekha] That one.

- You're attacking the ether
beast right behind you.

- [Rekha] Yeah.
- Absolutely, go for it.

And you get one attack roll,
go for your first attack roll.

- Okay.
[soft instrumental music]

Okay, that's 14 and then I add 10, 24.

- 24 is going to be a hit.
- Okay, great.

And so now 1d12 plus six, okay.

There is a d12.

Okay, 11 plus six, 17.

- 17 damage to the ether
beast behind you, amazing.

- Okay, and then I get
to do something else?

- Yes, not only do you
get to attack twice,

but you can also use any of
your Battle Master maneuvers-

- Okay, great, is it crazy? [laughs]

- Do it.
- Do it.

- Do it, do it.

- So I have something
called tripping attack

and I know that that makes someone prone.

Is there a way I can trip
it off of the mountain?

- So unfortunately you cannot trip,

none of your maneuvers, I believe,

allow you to do shove attacks.

However, you are always, unless-

- I have pushing attack.

- Oh, pushing attack
would absolutely do that.

- And does anything else
change because we are all

much stronger because of Bear Spirit?

- Oh my God, the Bear Spirit is also here.

- Sorry.
- You get advantage

on strength checks.

- Okay, that will not affect
this strength saving throw.

- Okay, is she pushing
harder because of it?

I'm sorry, I want this to be good for her.

- You have a second attack coming

so we can go ahead and
raise that DC to a 19

because you're in the Bear Spirit area.

So I'm gonna go ahead and roll a strength.

So add the extra damage
dice for pushing attack

because I believe you do-
- 1d8?

- You roll 1d8.
- Thank you.

- For your pushing attack.
- Okay, it's a three.

- Three damage to that ether beast.

It rolls a natural 18 on the
die for its saving throw.

It is not pushed back on that attack,

but you do have another attack.

- Okay, 23.

- 23 is definitely gonna hit.
- Mm-hmm, okay.

And then I want to do...

- You're also welcome to try
the exact same thing again

if you want to.
- Maybe I will.

- Amazing, go ahead and roll the extra,

not only the d12 but the d8
for the extra damage as well

so you roll them both.
- Okay, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

A d12 and a d8.

Seven plus two, nine.
- Plus six, right?

- Plus six, yeah.
- Yes.

Another 15 damage, wham,
wham, your action hits twice.

It's gonna roll another save.

It needs to hit a 15 or higher.

It's a natural six.
- Yes! [claps]

- This is for looking at Cinnamon wrong!

[players laughing]
- [Brennan] Incredible.

- Oh my God, that's so good.
- Amazing.

As we've discussed, and I
know that they haven't come up

for you all yet, but trust me,

you will be grateful for these
if it should happen to you.

We're going to roll, I'll say,

and you just did 15 points
of damage to it, right?

- [Rekha] Mm-hmm.

- So I'm going to do
a DC 15 dexterity save

for this creature right
now as you 'cause 15 feet

is enough to get this thing
all the way to the edge.

So we'll do a DC 15 dexterity save.

It needs a 13 or higher.

You all watch Katja, boom, boom,

as this thing tries to go for Cinnamon,

which you actually prevented, right?

- Yeah, I did.

- So a tentacle goes for
Cinnamon's hindquarters

and instead wraps around your forearm.

You grab its tentacle, yank
it to cleave across its face,

blinding it in one eye
and then on the back swing

come around and send this ether beast

screaming and howling over
the edge of the cliff,

tumbling down the cliff side.

- Okay.
- Yes, let's go!

[players cheering]
- Let me ask you this.

Aabria has reminded
me, I have Action Surge

to attack two more times.
- You do, you do.

[players laughing]

- I love you.
- I love you.

Okay, there's another one of these f*ck

looking kind of at me.
- [Brennan] Yeah.

- And I think he's also
looking at Cinnamon wrong.

And I think his friend tried
to grab Cinnamon's butt,

and I only I can do that.
- [Brennan] Yep.

- So I'm going to try to attack that guy.

- You're a horse berserker. [laughs]

- Incredible, go ahead
and roll your attack roll.

- That's a natural one.
- That's gonna be a miss.

[dramatic instrumental music]

- Okay, that is a 14.

- 14 is actually gonna be a hit.

That's actually be a hit.
- Okay so then I, sorry,

to remind myself a d12?
- [Brennan] A d12, yes.

- Okay, cool.

- Now, this is in the middle
of the platform up here

so it's not close enough to any edge

to necessarily get knocked out.

- Yes, yes.

Okay, that's a two plus six, eight.

- Amazing, eight damage to that one.

- And then a maneuvering attack.

- Hell yes.
- [Rekha] Okay.

- Ooh, a maneuvering attack, amazing.

- Hmm, would tripping make
sense to put them down

or should I just try to push

even though it won't get them to the edge?

- It's also possible,

'cause you do only have
five superiority die.

- Yeah.
- So it's also possible

that you might want to hold on.

You've used two, you get
an attack on this one.

Tripping would make this thing slower.

It would have to spend
part of its movement

getting up the next
turn, but other than that

you won't be able to push it off

or necessarily do those other things.

- I think I'm just gonna attack again.

- Hell yeah, go for it, love it.

- Okay.
[dramatic instrumental music]

- 26 hits.

Or sorry, is this your fifth attack?

'Cause you missed.
- What am I doing, yeah.

- You rolled a nat one and that was-

- Oh my God, yes, I forgot the nat one.

- [Brennan] No, all good.
- Okay, cool so then...

- [Brennan] Any bonus actions?
- Bonus actions, yes, okay.

So Commander Strike, right?
- [Brennan] Ooh.

- You have to attack only one time.

- Oh, that's what that
means, okay, great, perfect.

So then let's see, then I don't know

if I have a bonus action that's like-

- That's really good turn.

Do you want your horse to move?

Do you want your horse to
get out of there or no?

- [Rekha] Hmm.

- Put some respect on Cinnamon's name.

- I feel like I'm one of the tank people

so I'm fine to stay here.

Yeah, I'm fine to hang out
here, I don't need to move her.

- Awesome, in that case,
so Katja, all of you

that are sprinting towards the temple

see Katja wheel around, bat
one of these ether beasts

off of the top of the mountain

and fully is kind of like a Gandalf

on the Bridge of Khazad-dum

or sort of like, "Get to
the Chopper," is like-

- Just as Gandalf once
said, "Get to the chopper!"

- Frodo, get to the chopper!

- Last chopper out of Saigon, Frodo.

[players laughing]
- [Brennan] Amazing.

- You shall not chopper.
[group laughing]

- Come with me if you
want to live, you fools!

[players laughing]

- Oh my God.

That took me a second to
get and I'm like, oh my God.

- Higgledy-piggledy.
[players laughing]

♪ Stupid, we are stupid ♪

- The next thing that's gonna happen,

and that now that he is, oh, he does have

to create bonfire damage
again I believe, right?

Does he get another dex save against that?

- Penny.
- Sorry, Penny Luckstone.

- Sorry, I'm making a flowchart
'cause someone told me

it was a really cool
thing to do on your turn.

What's up with bonfire?

- [Brennan] Go ahead and
roll create bonfire damage

for me again.
- Oh yes, please.

Okay, that's d8.
- I mean, it's smart for Penny

to think that she
wouldn't have to go again

for another four hours.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.

- [Isabella] Considering...

- Eight damage from my
super awesome bonfire.

- Yes!

- Another eight damage to
Kurraghran who is going to-

- Oh, he's alive, dang.
- Leap forward

- No thanks.
- I thought he died, too.

- You're gross.

- Katja.
- [Rekha] Yes.

- Kurraghran's coming right for you.

- [Rekha] Oh, good.

- He's gonna take a first swing
here with his bite attack.

That is going to hit.

I'm gonna need a strength
saving throw from you.

- Advantage 'cause bear stuff.

- [Brennan] Yes, you
have advantage on this.

- Okay, that's eight plus nine, 17.

- [Brennan] 17.

- 12 plus nine, 21.
- You are not unsaddled.

He attempts to rip you
off of the saddle and you-

- Nothing can tear me off this horse!

[group laughing]

- [Aabria] That scared me.

- [Brennan] The conviction.
- Quad strength, engage!

- You can never break the bond
between a girl and her horse!

- God, I love it.
[players laughing]

- Incredible!
- Connected at the hymen.

- Yeah, we're connected
at the hymen, oh my.

- I was looking for the hymen
joke and I couldn't find it

just like the hymen.

- I think the only thing
you may break is my hymen.

- [Aabria] Oh my God,
you're just up in this...

- Uh-oh, b*tch.
[players laughing]

- Look how baller that is.

- [Aabria] Girl, I'm nervous for you.

- No.
- Not like this.

- I'm a little nervous for you.

- [Persephone] Nervous.
- Come at me.

Katja has never felt more empowered

than someone trying to come at Cinnamon.

- Yeah.

- With all of her on top
of horses surrounding her.

- Yeah, that too is also sad, yeah.

- 57, but you have Heavy Armor Master?

- [Rekha] Mm-hmm.

- So every time it's three
less damage than it would be

so that's, you take 48 points of damage

as Kurraghran goes,
[snarls] "A meal to be ate"

and just, [grunts]
tentacles biting into you.

This massive monster.
- You said 48?

- 48, yep.

And that is going to be
the ether king's turn.

- My God, he just took a screenshot

of how much damage he's done.

- Yeah, 48 is a lot.

- I got 69 left.

And I say that to the monster.

- You break the fourth wall.
- Yeah. [laughs]

- To be like, I understand that hit points

are a real thing in our world, amazing!

That is going to be
Sam Nightingale's turn.

- Okay, so I am atop my mighty steed.

- I was like, whoa, big pause.
- We know.

- Like, I was saying wholesomely-

- You know what?

Let's talk about it.

- Sam is atop her mighty steed Taffodil.

- [Brennan] Yes.

- And she's going to lean down

and whisper in Taffodil's ear,

"How do you feel about like, flying?"

[Becca gasps]

- Sure, I feel great about
flying, honey, let's go!

- Oh my.
- Taffodil!

That's what Taffodil sounds like?

- Taffy!
- We are best friends now.

- Oh my Lord, thank
you so much, let's fly!

- Katja is crying her eyes out.

- So I am going to, like
with a flourish of a hand,

wisps of air and just sleet
from the ground whip up together

and I am going to burn two sorcery points

to cast Fly as a bonus action.

- Whoa!
- Let's go.

- Amazing.

- And give this thing a flying speed

equivalent to its movement speed.

- Wow.
[lively instrumental music]

- Oh wow, you're flying!
- Oh, you look-

[players cheering]

- Now flying Taffodil
says, "Oh, I love this.

I always wanted to be a flying horse,

but I didn't want to be a Pegasus.

I didn't want those big wings, you know?

'Cause how do you even put a saddle on?"

- Yeah, and they make you very wide.

- Exactly, that's exactly what I'm saying.

- Katja looks up and does the
pledge of allegiance to it.

[group laughing]

- You're on a flying horse, incredible.

- Okay, I am going to fly.

I'm gonna fly over the cliffs
instead of across the bridge.

- [Brennan] Okay, amazing.

- [Persephone] And then stop
like 15 feet away from them.

I'm gonna fly over here.
- [Brennan] Awesome.

- [Persephone] And then
I am going to gather

storm clouds above me and
lightning in my palms.

- [Rekha] God!

- And my eyes are gonna glow bright white

and I'm just going to cast lightning bolt

at this f*cking Harpy
Queen and the two harpies

in front of it because I'm just-

- [Becca] Done with all of this.

- [Rekha] f*ck you too!

- Okay, so a couple things.

Number one, so the first thing
that's gonna happen is this.

You cast Lightning Bolt.

Now, I know that you are
gonna have a response to this,

but the Harpy Queen is going to cast

a fifth-level counterspell.
- Can I counterspell back?

No, I don't think I can
do anything about that.

- Well, you can counterspell.

It just comes down to a roll of the dice.

- Okay.

- So it's gonna become an ability check.

You're trying to beat a DC 15

which means you need to
roll an 11 or higher.

- Okay.
- You got this.

- [gasps] I am wrong.
[Rekha screams]

When did Antiope go?

Antiope went after the
Harpy Queen, correct?

- Oh.

- [Brennan] Sorry, let me just
look at something real quick.

- She had to cast Shield, right?

- [Aabria] Yeah, she
cast Shield on herself.

- It's the same round.
- Yep.

- Yeah, it's the same
round, Harpy cast Shield.

I am wrong, this fully
works, it fully, fully works.

- Okay, it's happening, it's happening.

- I'm proud of you.
- [Brennan] Here we go.

- I'm gonna cast Lightning Bolt then.

- [Brennan] Cool.

- I should have pulled this out already.

I had a completely different
turn planned so okay.

Oh, it's just a dexterity
saving throw from...

- [Brennan] Amazing.

- For all of those.
- For all of them.

Okay, you cast Lightning Bolt
to hit both of those harpies.

Incredible, we're...

- Spell save is...
[dramatic instrumental music]

Why can't I tell what this was?

- Okay.

Couple things are gonna
happen all at once.

You're gonna get your Lightning Bolt off.

Harpy Queen cannot counter it.

However, these two harpies that we said

had readied actions before

are now going to unload
their readied actions.

We also have to resolve
the opportunity attacks.

- That I'm gonna take from...

- That you're gonna take
from the displacer beasts

unless you want to use your
horse's action to disengage.

- I use the horse's action to disengage.

- Okay, so you move only 90 feet

which should get you to
where you need to go.

- Yep.

- Let me just double check
that again real quick

so we're being as diligent as possible.

You are right here, and now,

yeah, that's perfect, you're great.

So you get there, your horse
uses disengage to get gone.

And then let's see here.

So I'm gonna need from Antiope and Sam,

I am gonna need wisdom saves
for you and your horse.

Let me just make those
two saves right now.

It's a DC of 11.
- Oh.

- Oh no.
- Natural 23.

- Ooh, 18 for me.
- 18 for you.

- 11 for...

- [Persephone] Oh, the horse, too?

- [Brennan] 11.
- Yeah, 11.

I keep wanting to call her Alagonzet.

- Alagonia?
- Alagonia.

- A two for my horse.
- Two for your horse.

Okay, so two for your horse
on the first one, right?

That's the good one to
fail because this one

is the psychic shriek so

Taffodil takes 11, 14,

Both of you and Alagonia take eight.

- Okay.
[energy powering down]

- So that happens.

I will immediately need a
concentration saving throw

for your fly spell.

- I roll with advantage for
this 'cause of w*r Caster right?

- You do, and it's only a DC 10.

- Okay, punk-a*s b*tch harpies.

- Let's go.

- I make it, yeah.
- Amazing.

Now the other harpy with a
readied action is going to go.

I'm going to need another
two DC 11 wisdom saves.

This is the one that really-
- For both the horse and-

- [Brennan] Both the horse and you.

- Dirty 20 for me, nine for Alagonia.

- Alagonia goes prone unconscious.

- sh*t.

- Nat one for me, two for my horse.

- Oof!
- So, we're going to resolve

the lightning bolt first.
- [Persephone] Okay.

- You get your lightning bolt
off with this readied action

and then you all watch Sam
and Taffodil go unconscious

in midair over open air.

- Oh, oh, oh, no, no!

I already used my reaction!
- Oh no!

Now we're gonna resolve
that when that happens.

But we're gonna do this first.

Your DC is 16, Sam.
- [Persephone] Yeah.

- So we're gonna resolve
Lightning Bolt up top.

The two temple harpies are
gonna take full damage.

Momma harpy makes the save.

Go ahead and roll damage for me.

- Okay, so it's 8d6.
- Momma harpy.

- A-momma harpy.
- Momma harpy.

- Me and my beautiful
daughters, we k*ll sailors.

[players laughing]
- We k*ll high school girls.

- Oh, I didn't use my
reaction, I could save you.

- Okay, that is...

- Oh, I should have given you some d6.

- 23 damage.
- 23 damage.

Both harpies, so that's gonna be 11 damage

to the Harpy Queen.

Right before Sam goes
into unconsciousness,

first of all also in unconsciousness
you lose concentration

on the fly spell.
- Yeah.

- So [mimics wind howling] and-

- I don't think I used my reaction.

I thought I did but I was wrong.

I want to cast Feather Fall.

- Yeah, evasion doesn't use reaction.

Is Feather Fall a reaction spell?

- Yes.
- Amazing.

You have just saved your friend's life.

- Oh my God.
- Thank you so much!

Oh my God.
- And if you didn't,

I was gonna try and use Dispel Magic.

- To like, yeah, exactly.

So you go out with Feather Fall.

- Didn't lose the fall.
- Yeah, Penny,

so you see Sam beautiful lightning.

Both of the harpies in front
of the Harpy Queen [screams]

are shredded into sticks, bone, and wood.

[players cheering]
Incinerated, gone.

And there's just a tumble.
- Her daughter died.

- It's very funny 'cause it's a fly spell

leaving as a Feather Fall starts

so it's sort of this like,
slow-motion spin cycle

of Sam on a horse just
spinning through space.

- I'm going to roll to see
how hot I look doing this.

- [Aabria] You better
roll with performance.

- Roll performance, yeah.

- And roll with advantage.

- With advantage 'cause you're hot.

- That's a nat 20.
- It is!

- All of this turn.
- Oh my gosh.

- Just like pure, Cirque du Soleil,

like Enya music takes over the.

It's just spinning
underwater, hair moving like.

- [Rekha] Holy.

- Danielle takes a picture-
- Yeah, light up the crystal.

- It's really cute.
- We all film it.

- Yeah.
- Wow.

- You guys, Zelda goes like,

I'll upload this on my
little mechanical docent guy

and so we can get this, 'cause I know

that we hired that person to
edit our sponsor vids before.

[players laughing]
- Yeah, we did.

- Friend is dying, #dying.

- The Seven Maidens adventuring party

brought to you by Smashburger.
[players laughing]

- Oh God, we're influencers now.

- Incredible, those
harpies are incinerated.

- Nice.

- And Sam, you and
Taffodil are unconscious,

but in Feather Fall.

We are going to move to Ostentatia's turn.

- Let's go.
- What?

[group laughing]

Okay, here I am.

I've got a lot of little
doggies around me.

- Mm-hmm, yeah, and I'm gonna say

that as Ostentatia is figuring
out what she's gonna do,

let's go ahead and lower
Sam and Taffodil by 30 feet

'cause the Feather Fall, about half

of the Feather Fall's movement
as you begin to drop down.

Cool, great.

- Still looking hot the entire way.

- Oh, on a nat 20, for sure.
- Oh my God.

- If you want to make an insight check

or perception check to help
you figure out what to do,

you're also welcome to do that.

- Okay, beep, boop, beep, boop, beep.

Okay, fine, I'll just cast one spell.

[players laughing]
- So dejected.

- I'll cast Flame Strike.
- Ooh, incredible.

You cast Flame Strike, awesome.

- Each creature within a 10 foot radius,

- So you couldn't hit the
harpies over Zelda, Penny,

and Danielle because
you'd hit them as well.

You could hit the Harpy Queen.

You could hit the ether beasts,

some of the ether beasts around you.

- [Isabella] Yeah.

- It's whatever you want to do.

Go ahead and give me
actually an insight check.

Yeah, give me an insight
check if you'd be so kind.

- What's 13 plus 13?
- 26.

You see, I think on that insight check

you also can tell and
could maybe communicate

to everybody else as well
that the sleep effect

on Sam and Taffodil is

not powerful sleep magic

and may be able to be changed,

may be able to, like slight damage

like being harmed in any way

would probably end the effect

as would taking an action
to wake the person.

Now, they're falling and
floating in the middle of space.

- Could I cast Dispel Magic on them?

- You could certainly cast
Dispel Magic on them, yeah.

- And just hope she casts fly again?

- She's still holding
Feather Fall for one minute

so they're still falling
slowly even if she wakes up.

- Yes, so you could dispel

and just try to target the sleep effect.

- You would dispel mine.
- So I would dispel that.

- Of course.
- [Brennan] Yes.

- Don't you get to pick though?

You get to pick what you're dispelling.

- Let me double check that.

Dispel Magic, choose one creature, object,

or magical effect within range.

- Okay.
- Oh!

- Come through, Aabria.
- Hell yes.

So yes, so you'd have to
pick Sam or the horse.

- No!

- The horse is falling slowly.

Don't worry, I have a plan.

- And Sam could wake the
horse, yes, absolutely.

- Okay, so I'll do that, I'll wake up Sam.

- [Aabria] So visceral.

- That's your action.

- And if I run towards the bridge

do I get an opportunity attack?

- Two of them will get
opportunity attacks on you

only if you take a full movement.

So in other words, if you...
[epic instrumental music]

In other words, you can
take a disengage and go 90

or you can try your luck with the attacks

and go a full 180.
- I'll do that.

- Cool, you go a full 180.

Two of them are going
to get swings on you.

We're gonna roll right now.

That's gonna be two hits.

- They both got over 21?

- They're attacking your horse.

- [Persephone] Oh no.
- Oh.

I regret.
[group laughing]

- Let's see how many hit points
our friend Starforge has.

Oh, those temp hit points
are gonna do a lot of favors

for you real quick, hold on.

Starforge is going to
take, hold on one second.

- A star that just wanted
to be a horse real bad.

- [Brennan] Starforge takes-
- He becomes a star again.

- 20 points of damage which
would normally be enough

to drop Starforge all the way to zero

except for those temp HP.
[players cheering]

Starforge has five hit points left,

but is able to move the full 180-

- Can I bonus action Healing Word?

- You absolutely can, yes, yes, yes.

Go ahead and roll one d4 and
add your wisdom modifier.

- Okay.

- Did she wake up?
- Yeah.

- Yeah, I'm awake.
- Yes.

Ostentatia, what does it look like

as you dispel the sleep effect on Sam?

- Nine.

- Nine hit points.
- To answer your question.

- To answer your question,
nine, incredible.

[players laughing]

- When I wake Sam up,
what does it look like?

- When you wake Sam up, yeah.

What does that look like

as you're casting that dispel magic?

[Isabella mimics diamond
whipping through air]

- You just take a full diamond
ring off and throw it, ping.

- [Isabella] Hey, wake up! [laughs]

- I feel like I got hit by
something very expensive.

Wait, no, cheap, cheap, cheap.
- Oh!

- Go back to sleep, b*tch!
- Why, what did I do?

- You're welcome, you're
f*cking falling to your death.

- Thank you for waking me up.

Oh my God, my horse is still asleep.

- Throw it back!
- Throw what back?

- My ring!
- You threw a ring at me?

- I'm done.
[group laughing]

Why do I love these people?

- It felt like aluminum foil.

- Okay, it's not f*cking aluminum foil.

- [Brennan] Incredible.

- Come to the Mithral
Factory, you f*cking...

- Is that still there?
- Ostentatia rounds the bend.

- Why do you want enemies?
[group laughing]

- You scream that to someone
free-falling in the air.

- Yeah, why do I have enemies?
- b*tch, give me my ring!

Yeah, why do you?
[group laughing]

- She's hurling, she's-
- Slowly going.

- Sam is confused.
- So funny.

- Sam is just like, so confused right now.

- Barely be considered falling.

- A feather fall
- It's beautiful and graceful.

- What did you roll on
your healing word die?

- Nine.
- Nine.

So Starforge was healed for nine.

And Starforge says, "Thank
you, glorious Dwarven cleric.

I was a star before I was a horse."

- You said that.
[group laughing]

- I mean, I'm just a day horse,
Ostentatia, I promise you.

- [Brennan] Back to the top of the order

with Penny Luckstone.
- Oh my God!

- You saved my life though.
- Okay, I got you, I got you.

Okay, first things first, I've
got all this hemp and rope,

and I am so dextrous I
could do a circus trick

and just reel her in.

Also, I really want to stab something

so are those harpies too far in the air?

- Those harpies do have fly-by attacks

so they're out of five-foot ratio

so you can't use your rapier,
but you have throwing knives

and they're very much in range of those.

- But if I'm gonna move and
lasso my friend back to safety.

Actually, you can just cast
something soon, you're fine.

You're falling slowly.
- Sam is awake.

Feather Fall is on Taffodil and Sam both

so that seems resolved for the moment.

- Penny is really upset
that Candyheart fell down

and she's gotta stab
something, and you know what?

[sighs] Throw daggers, no.

I'm going for the big one.

I'm gonna run back to this thing.

- [Aabria] Yes.
[Brennan laughing]

- [Becca] And I want
that final k*lling blow.

We'll see, we'll see.

Penny is going to gallop, no-

- The Harpy Queen is just
looking a the Maidens

riding towards her and
is like, "You will all,

why are you coming back, why?"
[players laughing]

- Okay, am I behind Candy?

'Cause I came off and I
was dextrous in my landing

so I think I have naturally stealthy.

So I am hiding as I attack, oh sh**t,

that's only with magical ambush

and I just want to stab so nevermind.

I run up and I'm gonna rapier
this thing right in its heart.

- Okay, I'm going to forewarn you

that without a hide check
you won't get sneak attack

because no other allies
are within five feet

of the Harpy Queen, but you're welcome

to run up and stab her.

- Does the horse count as an ally?

- The horse is a girl's best ally!

[group laughing]

- Unfortunately, your horse
right now is unconscious.

- Can I, as a bonus action,
wake up the horse first?

- Well, it requires an
action to wake up the horse

unless you have something
that can deal damage.

- Yeah, totally.

[laughs] I could create
a bonfire under my horse.

- [Rekha] Oh my, what?
- Are cantrips an action?

- Yeah.

- Are you gonna roast your horse?

- Hold on, I would never hurt a horse.

Let me just get, I'm gonna throw a knife

at this harpy hovering above
me that tripped my horse

because you know what?

That is not okay.
- Yes.

- You come for me, you
don't come for a sweet,

loving pony like this.
- Yeah!

- It's not a horse, it's a pony.

- Amazing, amazing.

Okay, so you're going to, go
ahead and roll your attack roll

as you're attacking the
Harpy Queen, correct?

- Oh, I could throw.

- You could throw at the Harpy Queen

or you can throw at the
harpies above you as well.

- No, I wanna go for the biggun.

- [Brennan] Okay, go for the biggun.

- Get her.
- Momma.

- Yeah, coming for Momma.
- Momma Harpy.

- [laughs] That's right.
- Momma Harpy.

- I'm spending luck.
- [Brennan] Hell yeah.

- I got a six and then a three.

- No!
- [Brennan] I'm so sorry.

- Just mark down that luck.

Okay so that's only 15.

- Unfortunately a 15 is not gonna hit.

- [Becca] That makes a lot of sense.

- The shield is still active.

A knife goes twirling past,

but at least you have not run

all the way back to the Harpy Queen.

You are still here with your horse.

You've used your action
to make your attack.

You have a bonus action left.

Is there anything you want
to do with your bonus action?

- I want to yell to Sam, "Oh
my God, you looked so hot

when you fell asleep midair
and we all got it on crystal."

- Oh my God, did I?
- So good.

- Yeah.
- You're not just saying that?

- No.
- You really-

- We'll show you.
- It's going viral.

Girl dying.
- Girl dying?

- You were dying.
- Yeah, you were.

- Wait, wait, it's going viral?

- Really, really hot woman
falling midair so slowly.

- What are the comments like?

This is not the time.
- Oh my God, stop falling!

- What are the comments like?

- b*tch, you're still technically dying.

- Well, you know what, I won't be.

- And that is my turn.

- So we're going to go to Danielle.

Danielle, it is your turn.
- Let's go!

- Your horse also went
down, correct, or no?

- Yes, that is correct.
- [Brennan] Okay, gotcha.

- Honk, honk, honk.

- Honk, honk, honk.
- Just gonna remind her.

- Just the distant honks of the past.

- Oh, the geese.
- The geese.

- Honk honk.
- Honk, honk, honk.

Yeah, just kinda
remembering a simpler time.

- I'm gonna do it, I'll do it.
[whimsical music]

I'm gonna do it.

- [Becca] Do a different animal.

- Yeah, you're gonna do it again?

- Again.
[players laughing]

- Let's do it, hell yeah.
- Yum, yum.

- [Aabria] Let's go.
- [Brennan] Yum yum, let's go.

Where are you casting them?
- Yum, yum.

Honk, honk, baby.
- Honk, yum.

- Honk yum-
- They are gonna all go

for the Harpy Queen-

- Right there just behind us.
[warm piano music]

- Now, I will say this.

Are you using the stats of velociraptors?

- Yes, wait.
- They can't fly.

- But is she grounded permanently?

- She is grounded, but
because of where she is

only three creatures can
get space to attack her.

- Oh, they can't surround
her for it, yeah, yeah.

- [Becca] Well, save it for the-

- All right, fine, fine, fine, fine.

- [Brennan] We can-

- No, that's okay,
that's okay, that's okay.

- Do you want to measure it out?

- No, no, I believe you.
- Okay.

- Let's...

- [Brennan] You could
pick a suboptimal creature

with a flying speed.
- Rude, rude.

- Rude.
- Rude.

Rude, it's like, thoughts
and prayers, guys.

- They're all gonna go back
to the king displacer beast.

- You see that bearing down on Katja,

this king displacer beast is
like, "Where are your friends?

Not again!"
[players laughing]

Honk, honk, honk, honk, honk.
- Where are your friends?

- That's a great question.

- Looks like Katja's got plenty.

- Okay, we know the drill at this point.

You summon eight geese.
- Goodbye forever.

- [Brennan] Bye forever,
good luck with rolling.

- [Rekha] Are they the same geese?

- Yeah, no, they are the
descendants of the geese.

- A new generation!

- A new generation has been born.

- We are the descendants of
the geese you could not honk.

- We honk for those who cannot honk.

- The first geese characters disappeared

and now their twin brothers are here.

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

- Incredible.

- That's so pleasing to just
think about inside my brain.

- A new generation being
born in like five minutes.

- [Aabria] They didn't die, we honk again.

- So you know the drill.

- They left eggs behind when they died

and then they just hatched.
- Oh sh**t, yeah.

- They didn't die.
- And then you're rolling

with advantage after that.

You know that you have to roll 16 attacks.

Okay, so while Danielle's doing that,

we're actually gonna move to Zelda.

- [Players] Zelda!

- Strawberry!
- Strawberry!

- Strawberry Dancer.

Zelda is going to actually,

she is going to make two attack rolls.

- [Rekha] Cool.

- And she is going to deal,
oh she's glad she rolled low.

- I'm going to see
what's going on in this-

- Zelda is going to slap.
- Slap?

- She's gonna take the
flats of her scimitars

and she's gonna slap the butts of Danielle

and Penny's horse dealing
seven damage to one

and nine to another, so dual
damage, wake them both up.

- [Isabella] Nice, I
thought we were gonna-

- Do you want seven or nine?

- I was gonna get mad and then I was like,

it's okay, Katja, it's for a good purpose.

- Slapping for a good cause.

- Candyheart has 24 right
now, she can take the nine.

- Great.

- Oh, we can't know about this.

- Yeah, then Zelda

is going to go another full 180.

Yeah, Zelda's going to,
she's used her attacks.

And she's gonna go a
full 180 down the course,

continue to charge down the course.

How's Danielle looking over there?

- A lot of hits, 13...

oh, no, no, no, no, no, yeah.

[Aabria laughing]

- I was gonna say, Zelda-

- [coughs] Did she do anything?

- Actually Strawberry
Dancer gets into the cave

at full gallop, rolls a nat 1
on a dexterity saving throw,

skids on the ice taking four points

of subdual damage themself.

Zelda manages to get up, but
you see that the icy surfaces,

some of the icy surfaces here

are not only difficult terrain

but specifically are very slippery.

And in a cave that meant
that Zelda only hit a wall,

- Hell yeah.
- Got it.

- But elsewhere might be worse.

- 'Cause there's a big hole in the floor.

- Understood.
- The hole in the floor,

the floor is mostly hole.
- That'll do it that'll do it.

- Yeah, in this case.
- Yeah, it's called sky.

- It's called sky, the holes.
- The floor is mostly holes.

- 64.
- Let's go!

- Not as good as last time.
- Dang.

- All right, Danielle, how we looking?

How are we looking, Danielle?
- 64!

- Six and four, great.

- [Players] 64!
[Brennan sputter laughs]

- Nice try.
- Hey, hey you!

- Hey you, you m*therf*cking 64 damage.

- Your horse took seven.
- I'm 64 over here!

- Okay, Kurraghran takes 64
points of damage and says,

"Enough with the geese!

I've had it with the geese!"

Is still up, is still up.

- Let's go.
- In a big way?

- Yeah, do we get like
a, how's he looking?

- Can I get like a temp check?
- He's looking f*cked up.

He looking like he's having
a hard time with these geese.

Is there any movement
from Danielle that turn?

- Keeps going, keeps a-going.

- All right, so Danielle's gonna move 180.

Are you going to do anything
when you get to the ice,

having seen Zelda slip on
the ice going ahead of you?

- Oh, can I hop off the horse and use the

spider climb?

- You can, but it won't
necessarily help your horse.

But you absolutely can.
- Yes.

- It also occurs to you
that it's difficult terrain.

If you were just to not go at full gallop,

you might be able to avoid some of that.

- Then yes.
- Cool.

So you're in that case about like 20 feet

behind Strawberry
Dancer, having gone more,

having eased upon the reigns
as you go through that cavern.

As you go through the cavern,

I don't know if you can all see here,

you see this glittering
shrine and a giant statue

of Asha Hammerheart there within the altar

if you look into that cave there.

You can see up on the monitors here

this beautiful statue of
Asha Hammerheart in the cave.

You move through

astride Snowfire.

And as you deal that damage,
at the end of your turn

Kurraghran is going to
teleport 40 feet forward

onto the bridge using a legendary action.

- [Aabria] Of course he has.

- Ugh, it's disgusting.

- [Persephone] What a chode.
- [Rekha] He would.

- Just sort of blinks out of existence

and starts to gallop with
six legs down the bridge

after everybody else.
- God what a pace.

- That is now going to be-

- I'm in the back, why am I in the back?

- These harpies.

We're going to roll to
see if these harpies

recharge their terrible song.
[players groaning]

Let's see if they do.
- I don't feel safe.

- [Aabria] I'm in danger.

- I'm in danger.

- If this guy turned away from me,

am I allowed to react to that
or is that only on my turn?

- Unfortunately because he teleported-

- Oh, he teleported.

- You see he just vanishes and is-

- Stupid dumbass.
[group laughing]

- Neither harpy regenerates their song

so instead they're gonna swing down

and take some talon attacks against,

one's gonna go for Penny

and one's gonna go for Ostentatia.

- Come at me.
- Come at me as well.

- Let's go.
- Come at us.

- Come at us.

- That's going to be a hit on Penny.

And that's going to be a...
[tense piano music]

Penny's pretty small, right?
- She's very small, uh-oh.

- One of them takes a swing
at Ostentatia, fully misses.

Just [screeches] swipes at you.

Penny, I'm gonna need an
opposed athletics check.

- [Persephone] Oh no.

- That's a strength check.
- Strength check!

- [Brennan] That's a strength check.

- So advantage.

- [Brennan] You have advantage.

- Okay, okay.

Oh no, this is not the
character I thought.

[Aabria laughing]
[tense piano music]

[die taps table]

It didn't have enough
bounce, it wasn't the right.

- [Erika] Uh-huh, uh-huh, I'm there.

- It was the exact same side of the dice.

So that's...
- Same side of the dice.

- [laughs] Of the 20 sides
and that makes it a 10.

- Okay.
- But here's the thing...

- [Rekha] Find the thing.

- [sighs] Let me spend my last luck.

- Okay.
- I need a luckier d20.

- [Brennan] Okay, here we go.

- Hey, listen, listen.

This is a die from Rick Perry.

So Rick, I know you're gonna come through.

- [Brennan] There we go.

- And Penny, remember,

horseshoes are lucky and you have four.

[Becca gasps]

[Becca shouts]

- [Brennan] What's that?
- It was almost a 20

before it was a two.
- No!

- Okay, so I have, it's a 10.
- Oh no!

- But I don't know how much
damage I'm taking yet, right?

- Damage is not what's happening here.

- Yeah, no, that's cool.

So I can't uncanny dodge nothing.

- [Aabria] No, no!
- Oh no.

- These harpies get a +2
to their strength check.

On a nine or higher...
- Oh God.

- On a nine or higher.
- Yeah?

You're gonna roll a one.
- Just gonna roll a one.

Just a single athletics
check from this harpy.

[sinister instrumental music]

- Uh-uh, you held back a
smile, this isn't good.

- [Persephone] Oh no.

- Penny, you look down.

Ostentatia, one of them
comes down at Starforge.

You just whack it out of
the way with your hammer.

Penny, you had your
concentration on Feather Fall

working for Sam and Taffodil
and suddenly [shrieks]

you are seized into talons
and lifted up into the air.

- Guys, friends?

- [Brennan] You see this
harpy [shrieks] goes,

"I used to be like you." [screams]

- What?
- Oh.

- What's that mean?

- I guess I'm gonna be a harpy!

- No, maybe she just means

that she used to be very
high-strung like you!

- What, okay, I really hope so.

- That's worse.
- Wait, wait,

does a grapple affect concentration?

- It's not a concentration spell.

- Okay, thank God.
- It's a one-minute duration.

- Oh, good, good, good.
- Okay, so I'm just worried

for you instead of both me and you.

[group laughing]
- And the horse.

- So this harpy is also going to take you.

Yeah, this harpy is gonna take you.

- To a nice, safe feather bed?
- Spa.

- [Persephone] Yep, spa.

- [Brennan] 40 feet up and diagonal,

kind of towards,

just sort of out into the open
to the right of the bridge.

Amazing.
- Amazing.

- [Brennan] Amazing.
- Not amazing.

- [Brennan] Yeah, less amazing.

- Not amazing, Brennan.
- Where am I?

- A little compassion, please.
[Brennan laughing]

Don't say, amazing.

Penny's life is at stake.

- Antiope, you're riding down the,

you have another arrow in your bow.

The Harpy Queen looks at
you and says, [snarls]

as these vines restrict her and she says,

"My wings and talons don't serve me.

There are other ways of
moving, little girl."

Vanishes and reappears badly injured,

badly injured but cackling
seated on the steps

in front of the temple itself all the way

at the end of the bridges as she casts

a Dimension Door spell and is gone

without using any of her movement.

But she certainly does that

instead of lighting you
and your friends up.

- Cool, I appreciate it.

- So Harpy Queen teleports
to the end of the course.

- She's still brambled
though 'cause she didn't

spend her action unbrambling
herself though yeah?

- She did not, she's still brambled.

She did not unbramble.
- [Aabria] Cool, cool, cool.

- She chose to teleport
instead of brambling

- Brambling?
- Brambling.

- Brambling.

- These three ether beasts left here

are going to all make attacks on Katja.

- [Aabria] Oh God.
- Okay.

- [Persephone] Wow.
- Why are you way over there

- I've only had one turn. [laughs]

- Respect.

- Okay, these guys are all gonna go.

[tense electronic music]

[dice tapping table]

Wow, hit, hit, hit.

Miss, hit, okay.

Your Heavy Armor Master
takes away a lot of the hits,

but Katja, you are able to,

any other horse would be gone by now.

You protect Cinnamon with your life,

but you do take another

[growls] as these tentacles
amass all over you.

We're also gonna roll some teleport.

- What are Cinnamon's hit points at?

I don't know if, has hit him

or I'm still protecting Cinnamon.

- You're so good at riding

that Cinnamon kind of can't be hit.

- Cool, I'm at 41 for that little graphic.

- She's done this a few times.
- Amazing. [hums]

And you see, Katja,

by the way, there are some attacks here

that miss you as well.
- Okay.

So does that mean I can-
- Riposte, yes, it does.

- Mm-hm, okay.
- [Aabria] Let's go.

- So I can use my reaction to
expend one superiority die.

So then does that mean I'm rolling a d20?

- Yes, you are rolling a
d20 to roll an attack roll.

- Okay.

- 25, hell yeah.

go ahead and roll damage.

Which of them are you attacking?

- [Rekha] I'm going to attack,

wow, they're all so different.

- One of them you've already wounded.

One of them you already
wounded a little bit.

- And which one is that, can that one?

- The one that you're kind
of the closest to facing.

- [Rekha] Okay, yeah, I might
as well get that one closer

to dying.
- Hell yeah.

- Okay.
[die taps table]

So that's 11.

- Incredible, you deal 11 points of damage

to the already slightly
injured ether beast.

As you extend yourself
you see all of them look

and hear a call from their king going,

"the rest, hunt them down!

This one we can k*ll later."

And you see all of them [snarls] snarl

and all of them are going
to bonus action dash.

You've used your reaction
to already get your riposte

which is why they feel safe running.

And they're going to move 80 feet

down the bridge after Antiope.

- Okay.
- Vibes.

- Do they provoke opportunity attacks?

- Yes.
- They did.

- Two of them do, give me two attacks.

- Do I get any opportunity
attacks on them?

- And then add advantage.
- You used your riposte

as your reaction.
- [Rekha] Okay, copy.

- Do I get a opportunity attack?

- You're too far along.

They're not even gonna reach you.

- No, from the geese.

- From the geese, yeah, exactly.

No, I was saying that to Ostentatia.

- Oh, okay, okay, so add advantage?

- [Brennan] Yes.
- Okay...

- Oh sorry, not advantage

'cause they are still displacer beasts

so they still are giving disadvantage

until the first time you hit them.

- Right, okay.

[sighs] 13.
- 13 hits.

- And...

Oh wait, add advantage,
this is the second round.

- 16 hits.

- So that's the two.
- Amazing.

So one of them you get two hits on.

Go ahead and roll damage.

- With Multiattack?

- No, it's only one swing.
- One swing, okay.

- So you can pick the
better of their attacks

which I believe is their bite attack.

- Great, that is...

How many, 1d6 plus 14?

- No, it's not 1d6 plus

- Oh, wait, no, plus.
- I think it's plus two.

It's plus 14 'cause it was
over seven attacks, right?

So yeah, this is just 1d6
plus two for each one,

so 2d6 plus four.

- So five and six, 11.

- 11, so one of the ether
beasts takes 11 point of damage

[growls] as they tear off, amazing.

They continue like that after

getting their swings on Katja.

Also, coming up the mountain behind Katja

are another three ether
beasts that appear.

- [Erika] Oh God.

- On the sort of underledge.

- Oh God.
- Okay.

- Right here so kind of a little gap

in between the advanced
guard and the rest.

- Uh-huh.
- I do hate that for us.

- Might be time to run.
- Incredible.

Great, great, great,
that's our ether beasts.

Antiope, that's gonna be you.

You feel the growls of
things coming up behind you

and the Harpy Queen disappears.

- Cool, my horse is asleep.
- Oh no!

- This is great for me.

- I'm in the air.

- Yes, Penny's been grabbed so
things went a little bit bad.

Amazing first at bat,
Kurraghran looks very injured,

Harpy Queen is very injured,

but all of a sudden
some horses fell asleep

and more ether beasts have arrived.

And so your horse is prone

and unconscious,

and these beasts are
closing in behind you.

What would you like to do?

- Oh, sh*t, this is so bad.

- I look so sad hovering in the air.

- How bad does big boy look?

- Big boy is sort of looking hurt.

It doesn't look like he's
at the end end of his rope,

but he's hurting.

- Is there anything I
can roll just for like,

a vibe check on these animals?
- What?

- To know that if I
knock out their leader,

will they fall back?

- They might behave less intelligently.

It looks like Kurraghran is
giving them better orders.

You imagine they will continue
to pursue you no matter what

but maybe not as intelligently.

- Yeah, okay.
- Like the other ones

might have stayed wailing on Katja forever

and let everyone else run away

if Kurraghran hadn't been like,

'cause basically what
Kurraghran was like is like,

we have f*cking 50 other ether beasts

coming up the mountain, keep it moving.

Go after the other ones that are fleeing

and that would not have
happened if he were not around.

- Okay, sh**t.

It's a full action to
awaken my stupid horse, yes?

- It's a full action to
awaken your stupid horse

unless you do damage to it.

I know that's some
brutal math there, but...

- Yeah.

- You might k*ll your horse.
- Yeah.

[Rekha shouts]

I mean, it's either that or it
gets eaten and then I go too.

- Can you unarmed attack?
- Huh?

An unarmed attack is still an action.

- No, an unarmed, you
could do an unarmed attack

as one of your two.
- Oh, okay.

So can I like, slap and then sh**t?

- Yeah, absolutely,
you can slap and sh**t.

- All right, let's do that then.

- [Becca] The old slap and sh**t.

- Okay, yeah, Antiope
makes a clap, wakes him up.

- All right, I pull out my bow.

I kind of thwack poor, sweet Alagonia.

- Alagonia goes, [gasps] in my palace

there were no stairs but only ramps.

- [laughs] Vibes.

- That sounds incredible!

- Okay, there's a harpy grappling...

- [Brennan] Penny, yes.
- [Aabria] Penny right now.

Is it over open air?

- [Brennan] Over open
air at the moment, yes.

- Hey, I'll Feather Fall
myself or something.

- I got her.
- Okay, tight.

Then yeah, I'm gonna turn back

and let's hit center beast and keep going.

- Amazing, center of the three?

- Yeah.
- Yeah, cool, cool, cool.

- Stop it.

- No, no, no, I'm taking my sharpsh**ter.

- [Brennan] Cool.
- Minus five for a plus 10.

Does a 16 hit?
- 16 does hit.

- Okay, so plus 10 and then
I'm gonna use Bursting Arrow.

[Brennan shouts]

So all other creatures
within 10 feet of it

take another 2d6 damage.
- Oh my God.

Okay, yeah, go ahead and roll
damage for the middle one

and then roll for the two on either side.

- Oh and, yeah...

- That's a scary sight,
look at the monitors.

- [Persephone] Oh, that is terrifying.

- But how f*cking cool did the fight go.

- Yeah, seriously.

- Let's track that sh*t here and back.

- 23 points of damage to the center one

and seven points, no it's, yeah,

and seven points to
the two on the outside.

- Incredible, so all of you looking back

see your party's fighter, see
Katja way back on the ledge

swinging at these beasts behind,

see Antiope, you just kick
your horse hard in the a*s

and then. [mimics wind howling]

Like, what is the expl*si*n

from your Bursting Arrow
look like when it goes off?

- I think all of Antiope's
magic is very dark blue

so I think it hits and then it
looks like the arrow shatters

on whatever it's on and
all these little particles

hit the other displacer beasts.

- Incredible, so dark
blue particles of energy.

Looking hurt, you are up on Alagonia.

Alagonia can act right then and there.

Loses 45 feet of movement
to get up from prone.

- But that's still 135.
- Still has 135.

So let's have Antiope and
Alagonia sh**t 135 down the track.

- Sweet, yep, and sorry, as a bonus action

I'm gonna point out, what's his name?

It's the bad boy, the big guy.
- Big bad boy?

- [Aabria] Yeah.
- Kurraghran.

- King crap face.

- Yeah, I look at him,
gonna f*cking k*ll you.

And I'm gonna Slayers Mark him
so I've got a mark on both.

- I forgot, you can have multiple beefs

going on at the same time.
- Yeah, I fight everyone!

[group laughing]
And then run away.

- You see Kurraghran who's
like, a primal hunter

being just like, "What, I
hunt you, what, no, no?"

- No.
- [Brennan] f*ck.

- I'm gonna eat you.
- Oh my God!

- I told him I was gonna eat him.

[Rekha screams]
- Nice.

- Time to cleanse it.
- With our queen here.

- [Brennan] Incredible.

- He kinda looks like a
dragon if you think about it.

- He kinda looks like a dragon, right?

- Think about it.

- Does everything you hate
just turn into a dragon

in your mind?
- Yeah, 100%.

- Yeah, f*ck dragons specifically.

- [Brennan] Katja, that's gonna be you.

- [Rekha] I have a question.
- Yeah-huh.

Oh sorry, at the end of Antiope's tone.

Tone, at the end of Antiope's tone.

At the end of Antiope's turn,

Kurraghran is gonna use
another legendary action,

teleport another 40 feet down the track.

- No! [laughs]

The thing I wanna do involves him.

- [Brennan] Oh no!

- It's okay, I'll ask you anyway.

- Yeah, he'll go just past
the other, yeah, great.

So leaps again to the
front of his other hunters.

Antiope, you're gonna end your turn

right in front of the statue
in the cave, incredible.

Yeah, Katja, that is now you on Cinnamon.

- I mean, I am almost positive
you're gonna say no to this.

I asked you and you said I should.

- I think it's brilliant.
- So to me you're talking,

oh, he kind of looks like a dragon.

He kind of looks like a horse to me.

And you know what has-
- This sex-legged

tentacled cat wearing
armor looks like a horse?

- Yes, Brennan, and his tentacles
look like horse brushes!

[group laughing]
- Listen.

- So Brennan, if you
wouldn't be so f*cking rude,

can I hop on one of these thing's backs

and then try to attack it
by using its own tentacles

like a brush and k*ll it?
[players laughing]

- I-
- You know I'm gonna ask

one stupid f*cking question per campaign!

- Do it.
- Do it.

- Give me a f*cking athletics check.

Give me an athletics check,
give me an athletics check,

give me an athletics check.
- You have advantage!

- Oh, is there any way
I could cast Guidance?

- I'm gonna let you cast guidance.

You can add a d4 to this, DC 20.

- You have advantage
'cause of the thing right?

- 16.

- [Erika] Oh wait, is
this a strength check?

- Wait, 16 plus athletics you said?

- [Brennan] Yeah.
- 25.

- [Isabella] It's done.
[Brennan laughing]

- Oh my God.
- I have a d4 anyway.

- Okay, so Cinnamon runs up.
- Oh, add the d4?

- Add his advantage.
- Wait, is Cinnamon

jumping on top of this thing,
is she on Cinnamon on a thing?

- Three.

- [Aabria] Roll the d20 again.
- Yeah.

- Okay, I'm rolling again.
- [Brennan] Okay.

- f*ck, don't count
that, it doesn't matter.

- It went under the seat.

- This one didn't matter either

so pick the other thing I did, 25.

- I've fully lost, I've lost it.

- It's gone off the rails.

You've lost control.
- Control completely, yeah.

- Yeah, 100%, 100%.

- You still have me in the air.

- I still have Penny.

So 25, cool, so Cinnamon
is going to gallop up

behind these ether beasts

and I'm gonna say that Cinnamon
also readies an action to

move again when the way is clear
- Cool to jump on the king?

- [Brennan] Go ahead, you
made your acrobatics check.

- It became Rekha's fanfic.
- So you jump on one

of the ether beasts in front of you.

Do you want to jump on the middle one

or the one to either side?

- If I'm trying to get to the king,

I want to jump on the middle
one to get to the king.

- You're gonna Will Smith
from "Wild Wild West"

like jump from ether beast to ether beast,

saddle to saddle like?

- I will do what you will
let me do in this game.

- Okay, you leap, you make
it onto that ether beast.

- Oh my God.
- [laughs] Yes!

- [Brennan] Incredible.
- Which one?

- The middle one.
- The middle one.

Are you going to do the brush attack?

- Brush attack, canon.
- Yes.

- Amazing, go ahead and
roll your first attack roll.

- Yes!
[player laughing]

This is the best day of my life.

- Okay, that's just a 15.

Am I adding, like what do I add to it?

The same as my?

- I'll tell you what
you're not gonna add to it,

your g*dd*mn proficiency bonus.

- Why?
- She's been brushing.

She's been brushing sh*t the whole time!

- I'm proficient at brushing!

- [Persephone] She should
get it, she should get it.

- No!

- I would argue the only thing I've done

this whole campaign is brushing!

[group laughing]

- Oh my God, you are gonna add
your strength modifier alone.

These things have an armor class of 13.

You hit on an eight or higher.

- Okay, wait, my strength
modifier is this big guy?

- [Brennan] Yes, yes, yes.
- So that was an 11.

- 11, so you rolled a six and added five.

- Six, yeah.

- Well, you miss on the first one.

You may roll again.

[dramatic instrumental music]

- 17.
- 17 hits.

Incredible, incredible.
[players laughing]

- So what do I roll for
damage for a brush attack?

- Its own things do 2d6 damage

so you're gonna roll 2d6
adding your strength modifier

which is plus five.

- And so these things sort
of have teeth in them?

- Yes, if you look,
I've been observing this

for this entire round.
- So you're sort of taking it

and then puncturing itself.

- You're stabbing it in the head

with its own spiky little tentacle, yes.

- Oh, and you're gonna pull down.

- I'm pulling down like I'm brushing.

- You have to go with the coat.

- Yeah, with the coat.

- [Becca] Yeah, it's the only
thing you know how to do.

- That's how you keep it shiny
- [Brennan] Incredible.

Okay, seven.
- Plus five.

- Seven plus five.
- Plus five, oh, 12.

- [Brennan] So you deal 12.

Are you doing any maneuvers to it or no?

- I mean, I gotta, right?

- Yeah, if you want.
- Okay.

Do any of these maneuvers make
sense if I'm on the thing?

- You're at 41, it wouldn't
be the worst thing to heal.

- Of your maneuvers, you have riposte.

You have push attack makes sense.

You have movement left so if you wanted

to hit it with its own tentacle

and try and knock it off of the bridge

with its own tentacle, you could do that.

- Yeah.
- Hit its friend off.

- Can I dominoes?
[players laughing]

- May I-
- [Brennan] It's so, here's-

- Use the reaction to dominoes?

- May I dominoes?
- May you dominoes.

With all of my love.
- No.

- I didn't, you know, and
sometimes there's like

a fun way to put it, but
sometimes it's just, hey, no.

[players laughing]

Hey Rekha, straight up no.
- Okay.

- [Isabella] You are right.

- It's good to have boundaries.

- Yeah, you're riding an ether beast.

- Last stupid question before
I do your pushing attack.

I can't also stick these two brushes

in the a*s of the king in front of me?

- [Persephone] Please.

- Things come out.
- Oh no!

- [Rekha] I'm just asking!
- Bite him, bite him.

- Get him.
- I need...

- Did you just snarf, oh no!
- I just spit.

- [Brennan] Oh my God.
- Get her a tissue!

- I'm sorry.
- It's fine.

- Oh no, hey Rekha, you want
to drop a piano on his head?

- No, my thing-
- You want to paint a cave

on the wall real quick
and he runs into the cave?

- My thing is available!

You've got two brushes.

I want to stick it in the king's a*s.

- All in favor of sticking
it in the king's a*s,

raise your hand.
- This is not a democracy!

- Okay, okay, okay, okay,
okay, Brennan, okay, Brennan.

- Brennan.
- [Rekha] Okay, Brennan.

- If that is my real name.

- [Isabella] If you
only knew what's in the-

- Okay, so I'll do a pushing attack.

- Go ahead and roll your d8.
- Oh, yes, this one.

So that's a three.

- An extra three damage
to the ether beast.

Now it's gonna roll a
strength saving throw

against your DC, your DC is 17.

Succeeds on its saving throw

and is not pushed over the
edge but does take that damage.

You are still riding it.
- Okay.

So I can do a bonus action?
- You can do a bonus action.

- I'm gonna second wind.
- [Brennan] Hell yeah.

- So 1d10 plus nine.

- [Brennan] 1d10 plus
nine coming your way.

- 15.
- Hell yeah.

Katja heals 15 hit
points from second wind.

You are riding, Cinnamon's
right behind you.

That is Katja's turn.
- I love you!

- Yeah, Cinnamon's jealous.

- Are you jealous?

- [Brennan] And at the end of your turn-

- No response.
- Oh no.

- She's pissed.

Read, you're on read.
- Oh wow, oh wow.

- She's in the doghouse tonight.

The f*cking doghouse tonight.

- [Isabella] She doesn't like to see you

riding someone else.

- You rode someone else
right in front of her.

- I'm in the stables
tonight, baby, oh boy.

[players laughing]

- She says that so much.

There's no universe in which-
- Anytime Cinnamon gets mad.

- At the end of your turn, Katja,

Kurraghran is going to
teleport behind Ostentatia

and make a tentacle attack.

- Is he scared that I'm gonna
stick tentacles in his a*s?

[group laughing]

- Honestly, yeah.

You know, what do you want me to say?

Yeah, he's terrified.

He has no idea what's going on.

- He doesn't want one of his
kid's tentacles in his a*s?

- He's gonna get a*s-full
of rings in a second.

- [Aabria] Is he their dad?
- Incredible.

- Okay.

- He's going to hit and
he is going to deal-

- Horse or me?
- Horse.

- Oh, were you a star
when you were a horse.

- Oh, no, Starforge.

- [Brennan] He is going to hit-

- He's gonna be forged.

- He is going to hit Starforge
for 22 points of damage

which drops Starforge.
[players screaming]

- No!

- Spare the dying.

- It's not, you have
to wait for your turn.

- I don't care!
- Thank you, thank you Izzy!

- Yeah, girl boss energy!
- Let's go!

- Yeah.
- Ew.

- I'm so sorry.
[players laughing]

- Incredible, he is
now, as you tumble over

he kills,

he drops your horse to zero

and then it is actually his turn.

- Come at me.
- He's going to.

- Good.

- You can hop on my pony later

She's right next to you.

- I like a pony less than I like a horse,

I've gotta be honest.

- Ostentatia, I promise,
end of the night, $20.

- I heard you.
- You will love your horse.

- [Becca] We'll get there.

- Oh my God.

- [Aabria] Oh God.
- Is it a crit?

- [Aabria] Or bad?

- He rolls, he gets a 19

and two 18s to hit Ostentatia,

none of which hit Ostentatia's
armor class of 21.

[players clapping]
- Yeah!

- Wow.
- [Brennan] Oh my God.

- Putting more jewelry on to prepare.

- He goes. [growls]

What does it look like as
Ostentatia doesn't get hit.

She's just like, you're like ducking

to either side as. [grunts]
[players laughing]

- Fantastic.
- She's a legend.

- [Brennan] Incredible.
- Yeah, exactly.

- Thank you.
- Oh yeah.

You're amazing!
- You're amazing!

- I agree!
- Let's get him!

- [Brennan] Speaking of which,
it is Sam Nightingale's turn!

- Okay, so I am going
to jump from my horse

[Rekha screams in horror]
with my winged boots.

- And let your horse fall into the abyss?

- And start flying.

- Taffodil will be completely fine.

Taffodil is feather falling.

So you leave beautiful Taffodil,

just kind of spiraling
beautifully in a sort of,

you actually hear kind of Penny's spell

kind of plays "Clair de Lune" ambiently

as the horse just spins.

- You better hope that's royalty free.

- So I can rise up 30 feet,
but I'm going to stay.

I don't think I can separate
myself from the horse so-

- I hear you.

- [Brennan] They are gonna get
Sam's mini in a second, yeah.

- Cool, so as I get 30 feet up

I'm not gonna go to the bridge.

- [Brennan] Cool.
- Instead I am going to strum

my Triton Harp.
- Harp, amazing.

- And I'm going to let out
a really, really high note

and I am going to cast Enthrall.

- And who will you be casting?

Oh, Enthrall is just general,
is that a group or is it?

- Causing creatures of your
choice that you can see

within range of 60 feet which
I believe is all of them

except for the ones that are disappeared.

- Oh my God.

- But 30 feet the other
direction, me and my harpy friend.

- Oh yes, so that's very interesting.

So do you want to put
this, you can put this,

so it's 30 feet in every
direction, 30 foot radius or?

- Um, so let me see.

So the range is 60 feet.
- Okay.

So you can cast it at a point
anywhere within 60 feet.

Or I guess you're casting
it on a number of creatures.

- Yeah, it's actually focused on my voice.

- Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha,
amazing, okay, so-

- So I'm going to rise up, oh, can I rise.

I can do this, right?

- [Brennan] You rise up, yes, got it.

- [Rekha] Oh my God, Cinnamon
has to go on initiative-

- I'm still going to say,
I'm pointedly staying

away enough from the bridge
for what I'm gonna do.

- Okay, yes, yes yes

Any creature that can't
be Charmed succeeds

on this saving throw automatically
if you or your companions

it has advantage.

On a failed save, the
target has disadvantage

on Wisdom Perception checks
made to perceive any creature

other than you until the spell ends

or until the target
can no longer hear you.

Gotcha, okay, so we're gonna
roll some wisdom saves.

This is gonna work on, I think, yeah.

It's gonna work on basically
every creature within 60 feet

are any creatures more
than 60 feet away from you?

I think the harpy with
Penny is more than 60 feet

away from you.
- Dang it!

- [Persephone] Yeah.
- [Brennan] So sorry.

- I have no plan.

- We're gonna roll, this is a DC 16.

It's a wisdom save from our ether beasts.

[soft instrumental music]

Two successes, one failure.

We're gonna roll for our other harpy

that is there still attacking.

Harpy fails so one of the
ether beasts and the harpy.

So the ether beast closest
to you and the harpy

on the bridge both
become enthralled by you.

- But big daddy is not?

- Big daddy, his armor glows
as you target him with a spell.

And as it does so, he

he's gonna roll with advantage.

This spell is fourth
level or lower, correct?

- Yes.
[dice tap table]

He needs to succeed.

He doesn't succeed, unbelievable!

- Yes f*ck yes!
- [Brennan] Unbelievable.

Kurraghran. [growls]

[enthralling harp music]
[Persephone vocalizing]

[Brennan laughing]

- And then on my bonus action.
- Mm-hmm.

- I cast suggestion.
[player gasps]

- Wow, okay.
- So it is an action,

but I'm burning sorcery points to do it.

- Okay.
- Casting Quickened Spell.

- Cool.

- And I'm just going to look
at big pappa daddy and go,

don't you want to visit me?
[Rekha gasps and laughs]

- [Brennan] Okay.
- Visit?

- I'm trying to make him jump.
- Oh, sh*t.

- [Brennan] So I'm gonna
say that due to this

is not the technical wording.
- Visit.

- of Enthrall but it just feels right.

I'm gonna take away his advantage on this,

but his armor is still doing something

as you target him with
this suggestion spell.

We are going, I'm gonna
roll his save right now.

He needs something good for this to work.

Let's see here.

And that is not something good.

What is your suggestion?

- Don't you want to join me over here?

- Incredible, you may do this.

It will prevent him from moving on,

but if you are trying
to get him a suggestion,

if it would cause harm to the
creature automatically ends.

Do you want to keep him,
but you can keep him

momentarily where he is on the bridge

rather than continuing
to run down the course

after your friends.
- Mm-hmm, yeah, I'll do that.

- Cool, so he just sort
of paces for a second,

enthralled by you and says,
"I wish to be by your side.

Come closer and let it be so."

- Whoa.
- Oh darling.

- Ew.
- Whoa.

- I want nothing more.
- [pointing to fan] Not this.

- But you're gonna have to come to me.

- Amazing, that is Sam's turn.

You have your movement.

This is fully enthralled.

Ostentatia, that is your turn.

- Also, I think I gotta get my mini up.

- Wait, so now he's-
- He was bearing down on you

and Sam has done this Siren song

as she's totally ensorcelled him.

So he was bearing down over you

and has whipped around
to look at Sam floating.

- But he's still right there.

- He's still right there
on the bridge next to you.

- Okay, Katja's riding
one of them so she's okay.

- I'm living the life!

- Starforge is down
and making death saves.

And actually at the top
of your turn Starforge,

one away from getting back up again.

Starforge makes a death save success,

but is still making death saving throws,

but it is your turn so your horse is down.

You are right next to Kurraghran,

and you may do whatever it is you wish.

- I would like to cast

Um...

Hmm...

Banishment on Kurraghran.

- Oh my God, okay.
- Do it on my harpy.

- [Isabella] You. [sighs]

- [Becca] You don't have to.

- Don't tell me it's fine.
- No, it's fine.

[players laughing]
It's fine, Ostentatia.

Do you what you need to do.

- I'm gonna do the thing that
made turn into a harpy to you.

You can imagine what
that is, it's not fun.

- I'm gonna like it.

I like a lot of things most people don't.

- I'll do it on the f*cking harpy.

- No, it's fine, I don't
want to tell you what to do.

That'd be nice.
- Truly I think at this moment

what would Ostentatia do in this moment?

This is a fun bit, but
if you want to cast it

on Kurraghran, go for it.

- You know, if the universe is
telling you to make a choice

you should probably not
listen to that universe

'cause they're trying
to turn me into a harpy!

- You're very powerful
and whining a lot so...

- Yo.
- Wow.

[Becca yelling]

- [Isabella] First thought, best thought.

- Now, as you say, first
thought, best thought

you cast this spell.

I'm gonna now reveal
what this armor is about

because Kurraghran rolled
so badly against Sam.

So because Kurraghran
rolled so badly against Sam,

his armor has the potential,

if he saves against a spell,

to turn the spell back on the caster.

So there's a chance that this banishment

will bounce off of him back to you

depending on what he
rolls, but banishment also

would absolutely remove this
monster from the b*ttlefield.

So this is high-risk, high-reward.

- [Isabella] Can I take it back?

- Under no circumstance.
[players laughing]

- However-
- [Aabria] You got this.

- Banishment, the saving throw
here is charisma, correct?

- Charisma.

- So you've picked a great saving throw.

Ether king, not that charismatic.

Kind of a big cat monster.

So he has a plus-

- I think he's charming actually.

- [Aabria] No.

- I think he looks like a horse.

- That cat's trying to Smashburger, no.

- So charming.

- We have to say Smashburger
legally 10 times in each quest.

- We do.
- To fulfill our sponsorship.

- [Brennan] Now again, so he has-

- I might be falling to my
death, but like Smashburger.

- He has advantage on
any roll against a spell

that targets him, that selects
him as a target, however...

- Send me to the other plane, you want to.

[Brennan laughing]
- [Aabria] Oh my God.

- However, your DC is very high at a 17.

You know what his plus?

We're gonna go Box of Doom.

Do you know what his plus is
to his charisma saving throw?

- No, I don't.
- Plus zero.

- Okay.
- So if he rolls under 16

or 16 and under on both
of these, he's gone.

- [Aabria] Come on,
please, please, please.

[dramatic instrumental music]

[dice tapping Box of Doom]

- [Becca] Uh-oh.

- Completely enthralled
by the Siren's song

and Triton's Harp of Sam Nightingale,

floating amidst the mountaintops,

Ostentatia finishes, unlike
a lot of women in her family,

actually putting on
jewelry before she's about

to kick someone's a*s.
[players laughing]

As you reach out to banish Kurraghran,

what does it look like as
Ostentatia, what does she say?

How does the spell manifest from her

as she casts Banishment?

- [Isabella] Arrivederci.

- What? [screams]

And Kurraghran is gone
from the b*ttlefield

[players clapping]
[players cheering]

- [Aabria] Legends!
- Stop, stop.

- Yes.
- Stop, stop, stop.

- [Brennan] He rolled-
- My spells!

- He rolled a three and a four, is gone.

[players cheering]

And as he is gone,
Ostentatia, but I think Sam,

you're watching this and
seeing this as this happens.

Ostentatia's eyes burst with fire

and you see endless spiraling
halls of giant stone columns

as tall as skyscrapers
deep under the Earth.

- Are they marble?
- Beautiful marble columns

- Columns.
[players laughing]

- Beautiful marble columns.

Beautiful finished countertop.

What is that, granite, oh that's-

- Yeah, it looks like my uncle's house.

- And hear a deep and
powerful ringing of hammers

in the center of the Earth.

You see Kurraghran
tossed out of this world,

banished to the far
reaches of time and space.

[growls] I, I, no!

And you see a massive
ringed hand grasp him

and stick his very soul into a furnace

brighter than the Sun. [screams]

[players shouting]

- [Aabria] We stan a Wallachay.

- [Players] House of Wallachay.

- Incredible, that's your
action, any bonus action?

- Um, I don't have a lot.

- That's fine.

- I'll go into the cave.
- Hell yeah.

Well, your horse is still
making death saves unfortunately

so do you want to...

- Oh, uh...

- You could, I'm trying to think.

On a bonus action I don't know
if there's any way for you.

- I can't do Spare the
Dying, it's an action.

- Yeah, unfortunately.

So you've banished Kurraghran

so you're out of immediate danger.

- [coughs] Healing Word, I'm so sorry.

- [Brennan] You'll be able to-
- Did you say, Healing Word?

- I said Healing Word.

- Oh, you said cough, oh, you coughed.

- [Brennan] I would let you make-

- Oh, I could do Healing Word again.

- [Brennan] You can do Healing Word.

Do you want to do Healing Word?

- Oh yeah, sure.
♪ Aabria's opinion ♪

- Go for it, cool.

You bounce your horse back up.

So Starforge comes up and
says, [gasps] "I rise again."

- Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't-

- Much like I did when I used to be a star

and then became a horse.
[players laughing]

- Cute!

- Ostentatia, you jump on Starforge's back

and you can take off if
you want and go a full 180.

Oh yeah, go ahead and let me know

how many you roll for Healing Word.

- Six.
- Starforge is back up at six.

Starforge takes 180 down the track.

- I will stick around to
help Penny if necessary.

- Okay, cool.
- Aw.

Oh, Ostentatia, you should
run but I see you're not

and we're gonna talk about this later.

- Okay, well, what do you want?

Do you want me to help
with this f*cking guy?

- This is what I want.
- Okay, great.

- This is what I want.
- Okay, I'm here, babe.

- Amazing, speaking of
Penny, Penny, that's you.

- Okay, so let me know...
[players laughing]

This is like a Rekha-level idea.

- Oh no. [laughs]
[Aabria laughing]

- [Persephone] I love it already.

- So what if I were to cast Silent Image

of Kurraghran, no, of the harpy holding me

in front of the harpy holding me

so the harpy is like, oh,
you got her and lets go.

- [Aabria] This is like Emily Axford-

- [Persephone] This is like
exactly that moment with Emily.

- Yeah, it is.
- It really is.

- So here's, I just want to,
and again, there's no judgment.

There's no judgment, but you're gonna,

so okay, this is great,
I actually love this.

- I could just stab up in
behind me if that's better.

- No, I just mean, you
want to make a mirror copy

of the harpy carrying you and
you in front of this harpy.

- No, not the harpy, not the harpy itself.

The harpy queen.
- Oh.

- So it's like, oh, Momma's got it.

- Gotcha, okay.

- That makes more sense
than what I thought.

- Oh good, no, I would
never, I would never.

- Good, good, good, good,
good, okay, amazing.

So Penny, you can absolutely
create a silent image

of the Harpy Queen flying
in and being like, "Give."

You might even be able to have her like,

what does the Harpy Queen say?

- It's silent so she can't say anything,

but she's holding me
with a leafy-winged hand

with the thumbs-up like, I got her.

- So like a thumbs-up
and a wink so expressive

that it convinces this
harpy to let go of you

because it thinks its Mommy Harpy, great.

- All done, job's done, don't need it.

- You don't want her to go...
- [Becca] Yeah.

- I am going to need a deception.

The spell works and now
we need to figure out,

'cause again, illusions
are about artistry, right?

So you can render this
illusion no problem.

That's the spell.

But the artistry of how sort of persuasive

you make this harpy illusion.

I am going to need, so yeah,
just go ahead and give me.

- There's no way to use like, some other.

- Would you prefer to use persuasion?

- Yes.

- Wasn't that the thing you offered?

- No, it's deception.
- I said deception.

- Oh. [laughs]
- It's the same thing.

It's the same, it's the same,
it doesn't matter, okay...

- [Erika] You got this.
- [Persephone] You got this.

- [Aabria] You've got this.
- [Rekha] Performance?

- [Brennan] I'm gonna
write down the number

that I think it should be.

- [Persephone] Oh no.
- [Aabria] 100.

- Or actually, no, no,
I'm gonna let you roll

and I will make an
intelligence saving throw

for this harpy, okay?
- Okay, okay, yes, yes.

- These harpies look dumb as hell so.

- Yeah.

- They really, really f*cking do.

- Come on, come on, come
on, come on, that's a, um...

It's a six.
- Okay.

I'm gonna roll an
intelligence saving throw

for this harpy.
- Total?

- That's a six.
[Rekha gasps]

- [Aabria] Like Halfling stuff.

[players shouting]

- Jealous.

- I rolled a six, and these harpies

have a -1 to intelligence.
- Yeah! [laughs]

- I love this game.
- Dumb as hell.

- So f*cking much.

- Okay, I'm gonna draw a picture

of what the harpy image
that I create looks like.

- [Isabella] Now, how
long is that gonna take?

- It literally, like you
make a Harpy Queen who's,

like you forget to make her injured

like she would be at this time.

Her face looks like quickly
Crayola-drawn like...

- This is.
[group laughing]

- These harpies are so f*cking dumb.

They're like, Mom, Mom's got her!

It's on graph paper.
- And you see that your harpy

looks and says like, "Oh brother,

I guess my Halfling is fake.

Well, back to the drawing board and then

drops you in midair and
you begin to plummet.

- [Becca] Cool, with a reaction

I will cast Feather Fall on myself.

- Oh, wonderful, we love
it, we love it, we love it.

- And then can I use my cunning action

which basically it's a bonus bonus action

to dash, disengage or hide.

And I know I'm midair but I'm slowed down

so can I maybe get back toward the lands

by doggie paddling through air?

- Give me an acrobatics check.

- Oh yes, I'm so good at this!
- Wait a minute,

didn't you do a beautiful dance earlier?

- Okay hold on, this is-
- Like a gymnastics-

- 29!
- [Aabria] Yo!

- Yo!
[players laughing]

- So Ostentatia, as you
turn around and you're like,

I'm gonna hang back to take care of Penny,

you see Penny who is like,
"I'm in a really rough spot!"

Make a, honestly, your
illusion is two-dimensional.

It is just a full 2D illusion
and the harpy goes like,

"Oh dang, I guess I missed."

And then you see that Penny
does a modified backstroke

also using her breath to
jet just [exhales rapidly]

through the air.
- Yeah.

- You descend 30 feet
but also move 30 feet

towards the mountainside.

- [sighs in relief] Got
out of a pickle there, huh?

Did you see?
- Yeah, yeah, see I-

- Osteedee.
- Osteedee.

- Osteedee.
- Osteedee, you like it?

- Hardly an abbreviation.
- [Becca] Did you like it?

- I liked it.
- Incredible turn from Penny.

That's gonna go back to Danielle.

- All right well, now that
that's taken care of that's fine.

The geese are gonna move.
- Honk, honk.

- Honk, honk, bling bing.
- Toward us and concentrate

on who's left, some more of the harpies?

- So unfortunately because,

so these geese have a
speed of 30, correct?

- [Erika] Right, yes.

- So the geese are gonna
have to double move

to get 60 feet down.

- [Erika] Can they get to the
displacer beasts right now?

They can get there, yeah.

- [Rekha] Can Cinnamon give them a ride?

- [Brennan] Let's see how
far the geese can get.

The geese can get from here, not.

- [Erika] Not quite.

- Not quite, not quite.

The geese can get, I'll
actually say that you can get

some of the geese right behind these ones

to get opportunity attacks
should the displacer beasts move.

- I'd like to do that.
- Cool.

So these geese, honk, honk, honk,

and the beasts watch their
king vanish and go, "Oh sh*t!"

I guess these ones can't talk,
[snarls] as they run off.

- So they still convey meaning.

- Do they even notice them
'cause they're enthralled?

- What's that, are they?

- Do they even notice the geese
because they're enthralled?

- Oh that's, wait wait,
sorry, two of them aren't

'cause two of them didn't have
clear line of sight to you.

So two of them are like,
sh*t, the terrible geese.

And the other one's
like, who is this lady?

- The other harpy is, too, right?

- [Brennan] The other
harpy is as well, yes.

- Sorry, which of the
beasts is enthralled?

- The one on the left.
- [Rekha] Okay, cool.

- So would have Penny's been, too?

Oh, it doesn't matter.

- Penny's was not, it was out of range.

- No, it was the other side of the bridge.

- [Persephone] Cool.
- Amazing.

That's going to be, Danielle, that's you.

- All right, so

I'm in range of Queen-

I don't see where Momma Harpy is.

- [Brennan] All the way on the steps

at the end of the course.

- Danielle twirls the
mushroom-laden staff on her side

and she points it at the Queen Harpy.

And it looks like
nothing happens, nothing.

- Ooh.

- It looks like nothing
happens but then suddenly

a cloud of barely perceptible mites appear

in a giant swarm around the queen.

- Ugh, oh my God.

- [Erika] And a plague of
insects has infested her.

[group groaning]

- Ew!
- Ew!

- I had a hamster that died of mites.

- [Becca] Oh no.
- Incredible.

- Oh sh*t, that's concentration, too.

Okay, then I guess the geese
blink out of existence.

- Okay, so the geese close
up and the ether beast's like

[screams] so you just used the geese

to psych out the ether beasts real quick.

- Yeah, oh yeah.

- And then the insects appear around.

Oh quick work, look at those spiders.

Go ahead and roll damage
for insect plague.

- She has to do a
constitution saving throw.

- She is going to go ahead and get,

[soft piano music]

that is a failure.
- Okay, excellent, and that's.

- I don't see her either.
- Okay cool, it's not just me.

- Are you looking for the,
really high up quite near.

- She's high.
- Oh.

- High up looking over everyone.

- So she takes 24 piercing damage.

- [Isabella] Ooh!

- Danielle, with exactly

- Yes!
- Oh f*ck!

- Oh my God.

- The Harpy Queen looks at you and says,

"Oh, what strikes do you wield,

daughter of the wild places?

Ow, oh [yelps] my leaves!"

And you see not only are those
just the very small mites.

It's just like very simple,
like a lot of ants and mites

and all the leaves of her wings just,

chop, chop, chop, chop,
chop, chop, chop, chop, chop,

little mandibles moving through.

And you watch, it looks from a distance

like she just dissolves.
- [Isabella] Disgusting.

- And surrenders back into nature.

The Harpy Queen is gone.
- [Persephone] Beautiful.

[players cheering]
- Yeah, daddy!

- Incredible.

Danielle, insect plague, boom,
Harpy Queen is destroyed.

Do you want to take a full
movement as well on that turn?

- Yes, I will head towards the cave.

- Amazing, so you actually
round this cliff here.

Do you want to go full
gallop over the ice here?

- No, half speed so that...
- Cool.

So you're gonna go ahead
and move probably something

like 100 feet down the track.

And Zelda is gonna be just a
little bit past you as well

going carefully around that side.

[horse hooves impacting snow]
Incredible.

That's Zelda, that's Danielle.

Any bonus actions from
Danielle on her turn?

- No, that is it.
- Incredible, how?

I had a whole straightaway to
throw lightning bolts down,

that long straightaway.
- [Aabria] Oh God.

- Incredible, okay.

This other harpy is enthralled

[Persephone blows kiss]
with Sam.

I'm gonna roll recharge for their songs.

Okay, so one of the
harpies that's enthralled

is going to rush towards
Sam and just be flying

in front of you kind of
enthralled by you, "Hi!"

- [Persephone] Hello.

- [Brennan] My name is Rothead.

- [Rekha] Rothead? [laughs]
- [Becca] Rothead.

- No, now it's Birdbrain.
- What?

- Yeah, you didn't hear?
- That's an improvement!

- It is, isn't it?
- Yes!

- Oh, you're so pretty.
- You're my best friend.

- I know.
- Wow!

- Yeah!

- How do you get your hair to do that?

- Do you really want to know?

- My hair is leaves and dirt and blood.

- Blood sacrifice.

- You know, it's funny,
I've been trying that a lot!

And you see that that harpy
is totally enthralled.

The other one is going to come back,

take a swing on Ostentatia.

Fully miss, not even close.

And however...

Two more harpies appear over
the final stretch of bridge.

- Are they in the 20-foot cloud?

- No, no, no, they're in the air.

They're not near the steps at all.

They are floating in
the air over the bridge.

And they are going to,
you see they come in

looking at their destroyed
matriarch, their queen.

They scream and gnash their teeth and weep

and you see that they throw
these small leaf-wrapped,

it looks like some kind
of primal Fey magic,

these leaves wrapped
with twine at the bridge.

And you see [mimics pounding
and explosions reverberating]

and blow out a section of the bridge.

[players groaning]

Right here at the very end.

So the three ether beasts
that Katja's riding

on the middle one, they're going to-

- Which ones are enthralled?
- Well two, one's enthralled.

- Oh, one's enthralled so only-

- So the wording of Enthrall,
so they're intensely focused

on me and they have to roll
with disadvantage, I think,

to perceive anyone else.
- Gotcha, gotcha, okay.

- Let me just double check
that 'cause I could be wrong.

- Maybe he'll just enthrall himself

right off the f*cking bridge.
- Yeah.

- Has disadvantage on wisdom checks

made to perceive any
creature other than you

until the spell ends or the
target can no longer hear you.

- Copy that.
- The things you do for love.

- The things you do for love.

So number one, the three
ether beasts way back here

on the ledge, they're gonna go a full 120.

They're gonna teleport and
then move 80 along the bridge

in pursuit of Cinnamon.
- So do I teleport?

- [Becca] Oh, the extra ones behind us.

- [Brennan] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Oh, those extra ones, okay.

And they're going for Cinnamon?

- Yeah, yeah, yeah.

The two here are going to, I'm gonna roll

to see if they recharge
their teleport ability

which I believe they-
- f*ck themselves.

- Which I believe they
recharge on a four through six.

That one does.

- Candyheart I've forgotten to
give a turn for a long time.

- Oh no, yeah, let's go
ahead, we can move Candyheart.

- Well, I would have, with
my 29 on my acrobatics

I would have landed on her
and then said giddyap, lady.

- Gotcha, giddyap, giddyap, giddyap, cool.

We can go ahead actually.

We can throw Penny back on Candyheart

and move Candyheart up 180 as well.

- [Becca] Thank you, that's really nice.

- [Brennan] You got it.

- And you know, Ostentatia waited for me.

- Am I still back there?

That's f*cked up.
[players laughing]

- [Brennan] We can move Ostentatia

up to the middle bridge as
well if we're being nice.

- You're being really nice.
- I'm being very nice.

Well, I get yelled at a
lot when I'm not very nice.

- [Persephone] Now I'm gonna be alone.

- So I've learned my lesson.

- You're doing really good, Brennan.

- [Aabria] You're doing great.
- Thank you.

- You're doing a wonderful job,

and you're accommodating
a lot of silly questions

that I have so thank you-
[Brennan laughing]

- So both of these ether
beasts recharge their teleport

so Katja, the one that you're riding

vanishes out from under you as
it teleports forward 40 feet.

- It didn't take you?
- Yeah.

- That's so rude!
- Very rude.

But you are still right
next to another one

that is very enthralled
with Sam right now.

- Yes.

Do I get an attack of opportunity?

Oh, it teleported, f*ck.
- Yeah, bummer, okay.

So yeah, the two here teleport 40 feet

and then are gonna move another 80.

- [Rekha] Three.

- Another 80 after everyone else.

And I want to see something, too actually

if these guys can do their
cool thing here or not.

They can't so that's fine.

Yes, so to our wonderful,

so the one stays enthralled,

but the other front two ether beasts

are gonna go a full 120
down the course, great.

And they had nobody to
attack so that's their turn.

Okey-dokey, that's now going to be. [hums]

- Do I fall back onto Cinnamon
or am I floating in the air?

- You will be able on your
turn to just, oh actually,

Cinnamon had a readied
action to go another 90 feet.

I forgot about that so-
[Rekha gasps]

- Ooh.
- That's right.

- Does she go right under
me as she goes 90 feet?

- Yes, however, Cinnamon is going to get

those three attacks of opportunity

while you're not riding her.

Cinnamon does take 10 points of damage.

- And how many did she start with?

- 26, oh, and then plus 14.
- Plus 14.

- So still might be uninjured.

- So she's 40 and then minus 10.

I am livid.
[group laughing]

Her hair which is this
way is going this way.

She looks startled.

This is the most disgusting
thing I've ever seen in my life.

- [laughs] Incredible, but
you go another 90 on Cinnamon

as you jump back onto your horse's back.

- And brush frantically,
frantically brushing it back.

- Aw.
[Rekha laughing]

- Oh, wow, okay, amazing. [hums]

That's for the ether beasts.

- You've got a quick-draw
holster for the brush.

- Antiope, we are back with you.

You are in the cave.
- [Aabria] Oh God, okay.

- But it is you and Alagonia,
what would you like to do?

- Let me get a couple shots
off on the displacer beasts

sort of between, yeah, I
want to aim for the ones

between Katja and myself
before we take off.

- Amazing, the one in the lead
looks pretty badly injured.

- Yeah, okay, well,
I'll aim for him first.

- Actually, they both look
pretty messed up, yeah.

- So I'm gonna move Slayer's Prey

to the injured one in the front.

- Hell yeah, great.
[stirring instrumental music]

- Cool, 24 to hit.
- Hell yes.

[dice tapping table]

- I can't do any math right now.

- [Brennan] No worries.

- Oh wait, do I have
to call my minus five?

- You do, but I can be nice this time.

- Sorry.
- But in the future

we'll call it ahead of time.

- Okay, my bad.
- Yes, go for it.

- I completely forgot.
- No worries.

But yeah, you can call your minus five.

- Okay, can I call the
minus five to try to-

- Sharpshoot or to do one of your tricks?

- No, I want to do
Dragon Slayer bow thing.

- Hell yeah, what Dragon Slayer bow thing

do you want to do?
- Yo, let's Blinding Shot it.

I want to catch it in the a*s.
- Hell yes.

I'll roll that first con save.
- Yep.

- Saves on the first con save.
- Okay.

- But you do hit so go
ahead and roll damage.

And you have your Slayers Prey on it.

- I already did, 11 points.

- 11 points to the one
in the lead, hell yes.

- Yep, oh, go ahead.
- Oh, yeah, you're good.

Go for it.
- One more, same guy,

but this one's gonna be a sharpsh**ter.

- Cool.

- So it's supposed to an 18, 13.

- 13 is their exact armor class.

- Oh my God, yeah.
- What did you just hit on?

What'd you roll on the
die that you still hit?

- Was that three exactly?
- Six.

- Six, [laughs] incredible, great.

- So low, okay.

- We got a lot of
exactsies tonight, y'all.

- Yeah, a lot of exactsies.

- 22 points.

- Second arrow [mimics
arrow landing] dead.

That displacer beast is gone.
- Sweet.

- Or that ether beast is
destroyed with your second arrow.

- Oh, we all turn around the
back of our horse and say,

[claps] oh, good job Antiope.
- This is by the way,

how are you getting, you're
on a galloping horse.

You're turning all the way around like...

- Okay, so-
- It's that core.

- But you can talk to the horse.

- The truth is Katja and
I, we're best friends

when we were younger and I read all

of the Babysitter Horse books.
[players laughing]

So this is me living my
dream of horse vaulting,

and I like wrap a leg around
and just lean down like,

I'm doing it!

- Ooh, sexy!
[Brennan laughing]

- Oh my God, that's a Christine!

You're a Christine!
[players laughing]

- We're both Christines!
[Rekha shouting]

- [Brennan] Incredible
- Christine's a horse.

[group laughing]

- Obviously, it sounds like a horse name.

- [Brennan] Amazing.
- And then I wanna,

and then, yeah, Alagonia's gonna move.

Full movement, full dash.
- Hell yeah.

And then we have a full dash for Alagonia.

- She looks very Alagonia
while she's doing it.

- I love it, Katja, that's gonna be you.

- [Rekha] Okay, can I attack
this beast in front of me?

- Yes, you absolutely can.

[die taps table]

- That is a dirty 20.
- Definite hit.

- Okay, great, so then my d12.

Eight plus six, 14.
- Amazing, 14 regular damage.

Any other shenanigans or tricks
or other stuff like that?

- [hums cheerfully] My little flowchart.

Can I do...

A pushing attack to push it off?

- Yes, you can.

Go ahead and roll the extra damage.

- Sorry, damage or the d20?

- Uh, sorry, not the d20.
- Yes.

- Go ahead and roll the extra
damage there with your d8.

- Okay, cool, set, d8, yes, yes, yes.

- [Brennan] Amazing.
- That's, I got an eight.

- Yeah, nice! [claps]

- [Brennan] Another eight damage.

- And I don't add anything to that, right?

I just do the eight.
- No.

- Okay, great.
- This thing's gonna roll.

It's gotta get a 13 or higher.

However, the main thing that
happens here is once again,

so there's two galloping after Antiope

in front of you, Katja, back on Cinnamon,

the two you've been
chasing this whole time.

The one you were riding gets
two arrows in the throat

and the other one which is
running up on the railing,

you [grunts] fend off into space,

spiraling out over the edge.

- That's one difference
between you and a horse.

I would never hurt a horse.
[players laughing]

- Incredible, and then
Cinnamon can take a full 180.

- Yes, let's do it!
- [Brennan] Hell yeah.

- Do I have to, is this the broken bridge?

- [Becca] She's been waiting for this.

- No, the broken bridge is
all the way to the very end.

- Oh, it's up the bend.

Great, yeah, I'll take 180.
- Amazing.

Sam, that's gonna be you.

- [Persephone] So I have a
question about Feather Fall.

- [Brennan] Yeah.

- Would you say that it makes the person

or creature its affecting
lighter physically?

- Well, that's very interesting.

- I mean, when it doesn't have resistance

I think you could push it.

It doesn't specifically, but-
- I'm not willing to,

listen, I've already let
people brush ether beasts.

- But that makes sense.
- That makes perfect sense.

- Because the way you
defined I literally was like,

is he doing this as a present?
[Brennan laughing]

- As a storm sorceress, I
can control the weather,

and that includes powerful gusts of wind.

I would like to basically
push wind up under Taffodil

and geyser Taffodil
back up onto the bridge.

- Amazing.
- Incredible, incredible.

Yes, I will allow this shenanigans.

- Shenaniganery.
- Yes, exactly.

So you summon wind, "Clair
de Lune" plays in reverse

as Taffodil begins to sort
of spiral back up from-

- [Erika] Oh my God, I need that.

- [Brennan] And what is
the spell Sam's casting?

- That's not a spell.

That's a bonus action I can
do because I'm a sorceress.

- [Aabria] That's just life, baby.

- Fun fact about "Clair de Lune."

When you play it in reverse you hear-

- Missy Elliott.
- Yeah.

[group laughing]

You hear what Missy.
- Yeah, you hear "Work It"

in normal word which is crazy

because so much of that is in reverse.

- Just as Led Zeppelin intended.

- [Brennan] Intended, yes, absolutely.

- And unto you as well.

- As Taffodil gets to the path,

I want to move to mount Taffodil

and then have Taffodil move.

- Amazing, perfect, yes, absolutely.

- Exactly like in the
Babysitter Horse book two.

- We have got to have
everyone read these books.

- [Persephone] I think I have an action.

- Well, so here's the thing.

Yeah, you have an action so
you mount up, Taffodil's there.

What would you like to do?

- Okay, I would like

to not be the only one over
here for the most part.

I would like to get as far as possible

close to the other ones.
- [Brennan] Amazing.

- I will say that, how well
can the ether beasts hear?

- Pretty well, they seem to
be pretty cunning predators.

- So when they're out
of range of my voice,

the enthrallment ends.
- Okay, copy that.

Cool, cool, cool.
[Persephone cheers]

- [Brennan] Amazing.
- Okay, now for action.

- [Aabria] You're so good.
- Yeah.

- See, I saved the horse.
[Brennan laughing]

Okay, are there any monsters
within range that I can see?

I don't see any.

Okay, no, you know what?

Instead I am, no, I can't do that.

That's a bonus action, I
already used that, dammit.

Hm, sorry, I didn't think this far ahead.

- Oh, I forgot, I know what
you need to use your action on.

Taffodil's still unconscious.
- [Persephone] Oh.

- Taffodil's still, yeah, so your action

is literally to say, "Wake up."

- Spank.
- Spark. [gasps]

- [Persephone] There we
go, that works for me.

- I had a dream that is crazy.
- What was it?

- What did you dream about?
- That is crazy.

- I dreamed Missy Elliott
was singing "Clair de Lune,"

and that's not even a
song, that's just a tune.

There's no words to "Clair de Lune."

- She could pull it off.
- She could definitely do it.

- [Aabria] She has the range.
- Okay, let's get out of here.

And Taffodil. [mimics
horse galloping swiftly]

- Ride on, Taffodil!
- Amazing, cool.

Sam, you take off, Ostentatia, that's you.

- Wow, I'm playing, okay.

- [gasps] Blow out the bridge behind us.

- [gasps] That's such a good idea!

- Well, I actually had an idea

for the bridge in front of us.
- Ooh yeah.

- [Brennan] Oh sh*t.
- Can I get to the open,

the big old chunk in the bridge?

- So you gotta, yeah.
- Can I get to the chunk?

- Well, here's the thing.

So you had a bunch of
ether beasts behind you.

You got these two harpies up
on the bridge in front of you.

If you go full gallop over the ice

you might be in a little bit
of trouble 'cause it's icy.

But you can take that risk if you want to.

the way around the bend

so you can either slow
down which won't get you

all the way around the
north face of this mountain,

but you also, you can see

where the bridge has been blown out.

- Are any of my friends behind me?

- [Brennan] Are any of your friends-

- I'm like side by side with you, I think.

- Yeah, you and Penny
are kinda side by side.

I think everyone's moved ahead
of you for the most part.

- Okay, and they're-

- [Brennan] Yeah, you're
in the rear right now.

- There are people coming up behind us.

- Ether beasts, but none of your allies.

- I'm going to cast wall of fire.

[players gasping]
- Yes.

- Between us and the ether.

Oh, but they can f*cking transport.

- They can teleport, that is true,

but it might still do damage to them

and they can't reliably do it.

There's a bunch of interesting stuff.

Let me also say, too-
- [Isabella] [sighs] Okay.

- I'm sorry, yeah, go for it.

- I think what I will actually do is...

How far up are the harpies from us?

- The harpies are, they had to get close

to drop those things with enough accuracy

to blow the bridge out

so they're only 20 or so
feet up from the bridge.

But from where you are,
'cause they're all the way

at the end of the course,
we will go here, we'll go-

- Are they within 30 feet?

- [Brennan] They're not within 30 feet.

They're about 120 feet away from you.

- [Isabella] Okay.
- I will say this.

Your wall of fire idea was so cool,

but you did notice the
teleportation thing, right?

I would just want to point something out.

Go ahead and give me a perception check.

It'll be a low DC, but
give me a perception check.

- 12.

- You look behind you.

In terms of thinking of buying you time

from these teleporting predators
behind you, you look back.

You're thinking wall of fire.

If you look in the cave,
can we move into the cave?

You see a bunch of objects in the cave.

There's like a shrine.
- Oh, okay, animate objects.

- [laughs] But yeah,
you also see the statue

of Asha Hammerheart, what
would you like to do?

- Okay, yeah, I'll Moo Shu them.

- Okay, cool.
- Moo Shu them.

- And is that a spell card to Moo Shu?

- Go get us some food.

- [Brennan] Cool, also, as you're running.

- Yeah, I'm getting the food.

- As you are running you look behind you.

What do you say to the
objects within the room there?

- Bling bing, good morning.
[group laughing]

- You see Asha Hammerheart.
- Oh my God!

- Eyes open and this 14-foot-tall statue

of a Dwarven warrior.
- [gasps] Look at it!

She was ready to go!
- We were ready for this!

- Oh my God.
- Steps out.

- Can we edit it out so that
it doesn't look like Brennan

gave me the idea?

- I am not saying that we put
these Dwarven statues here

for you to bring them to life.

I'm just saying that it's
a thing that is cool.

- They're there and there you are!

- They're there.

I wouldn't have ever said it

if you didn't say the wall
of fire thing, that's true.

'Cause you wanted to make a thing.

- [Isabella] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Amazing.

- She's hopping up and down.
- Yeah, it's real cute.

- She's excited.
- Incredible.

She looks at you and she goes, Belladonna.

[players shouting]
- Well done.

[players cheering]
- Oh baby!

- Yes!

- How hot is the statue, Brennan?

- Oh, she is incredible.

She is a like, powerful,
mighty, thick, broad-shouldered.

- Thick.
- Thick, magic word.

- I have a type!
- Hey, rack that focus.

- You also see-
[players cheering]

- Crystal clear.
- Yes, show it off!

- Much like yourself,
she's also clean shaven

which is an interesting
thing for a heroic-

- f*cking listen, my f*cking
mom always gets on my a*s

and tells me not to tell
my Nona that I shave,

but like, you look amazing.

- Where I came from in my time
we always, we shave our face.

It is to show respect.

It is in the way that a Dwarf
crafts the Earth and the stone

we craft our appearance.

- We're womanscaping.

- Yes, the landscape and
the womanscape, hold on.

[grunts] Bam, ether beast
goes off as she squares up

and literally blocks off
the tunnel behind you

with her massive statue turn.
[players cheering]

Incredible.
- Yay.

- And then you want to move 90 on.

- [Isabella] Yeah, yeah.
- Cool, the statue guards

Ostentatia's gonna move 90 and
join up with everybody else

rounding the northern face of that cliff.

We move on from Ostentatia.

Penny, that's gonna be your turn.

- Okay, so I am just a little bit past

where Asha has blocked the entrance, eh?

- [Brennan] Mm-hmm.
- Wow.

First of all, I just want
to remark to my friends,

this is so cool, we're
all riding on horses

k*lling stuff together.

This is what it's all about, right ladies?

[Brennan laughing]
- Not one soul responds.

- Not right now, okay.
- Not one.

- Okay, I'll remind you guys
later at our slumber party.

- I like it's all that.
- We're doing a slumber party

after this, right?
- View into Penny's future

as a lady who brunches.
- Yeah. [laughs]

- You see that Candyheart
talks up and says,

"I like going on trips."
[players laughing]

- Is that the first time
Candyheart has spoken?

- Sorry, what was that?

You like what, Candyheart?
- I like going on trips.

- Um, yeah, okay.
- How did you get here?

- And Penny's like not doing-
- Ew, desperate.

- I am so low-rung here.

I need someone below me
and that's Candyheart.

- Hey, we have a scrapbook club
where we review scrapbooks.

- Ooh, scrapbooks.
- You review them?

You don't make them?
[players laughing]

- I don't know, let me look at my schedule

and I'll get back to you.

- How do you acquire
scrapbooks from other people?

- That's a lot of subscription services

where people that are really good at it

show you how to do it.

- Are you also from another planet?

- Nope!
[players laughing]

I'm not only from Spyre, I'm
from Elmville in the books.

- Oh my God, yeah, okay, sure.
[Brennan laughing]

- Danielle's like, I would
actually be very interested

in finding out about your
scrapbooking, that sounds-

- No, they don't scrapbook.

They review scrapbooks.
- They only review scrapbooks

like people reading books
and writing reviews.

- Well, at a book club
you talk about books

so why wouldn't you talk about scrapbooks

at a scrapbook club?

- [Aabria] Oh my God, the
logic holds and I need it!

- If you can't read,
then that makes sense.

- Oh, we can't read and
we can't turn pages.

[players laughing]
- I see.

- All right, let's put
a pin in Candyheart.

- Yeah, we don't have any
hands, we're all horses.

- I hate ponies.

- You're the saddest horse I've ever seen.

- It's a pony.
- It's a pony!

- Oh, then you're the
happiest pony I've ever seen.

[group laughing]
- Amazing.

What does Penny do on this turn?

- Okay, so if I were to not
slow down on this icy cliff

I would need to make a dex save, right?

- Yes, correct, yeah.

- But this dex save can't
be that hard, right?

- It might not be that hard.

- [Becca] What is it?
- We don't know.

- Okay, but I were to go full speed-

- Put your tongue back your mouth.

- Could I catch up to these
harpies and throw a dagger?

- If you go full speed I
will say that you can get up

to those harpies with a dagger, yes.

- Now, I only get to
throw one dagger though

because I don't have two attacks,

but could I double-handed
throw two daggers?

- No, you cannot double-handed
throw two daggers,

but you could get up close
and also ready an action

to throw a dagger, especially
if you readied an action

to throw a dagger when someone

was giving you a sneak attack.

- When they came closer to you perhaps.

- Giving me sneak attack?

Oh, meaning that I had someone flanking.

- Yes, exactly.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Okay, great, okay so then
I will ready that action

to be so sneaky and they will hurt so bad.

I'm really not worried about this ice.

- Okay, go ahead and give me
your dexterity saving throw.

- Penny will get closer.
- This one.

Nat 20.
- Oh!

[players cheering]
- Yes!

- Up to 30.
- Yo.

- The first one!
[players cheering]

- I'm gonna go ahead
and say that as you talk

you see Candyheart just goes,
"God, I love scrapbooks!"

And the heart of the
horse glows bright magenta

and the hooves go magenta
and your nat 20 dex save

sunders the ice of the
pass so it is no longer

difficult terrain for any of your allies.

- Oh my God.
- Got you!

- Thank you.
- Thank you.

- Penny is the best.
- By the way,

Sephie gave this die.
- Aw.

- Candyheart sounds like Mr. Hankey.

- I'm glad this turned out for you.

- Candyheart sounds like Mr. Hankey.

[group laughing]

- Candyheart also said God.

- And Penny, you have a readied action

so as soon as someone
can give you sneak attack

on one of those harpies,
you're gonna go and throw that,

but it's gonna be your
reaction to do so, okay?

- Okay.
- Amazing.

And actually, wait, we can
do this literally right now.

Zelda is now not having to slow down.

Zelda is going to surge forward.

Zelda's going to make an athletics check.

Oh, she rolls advantage,
she's gonna fly into a rage.

There we go, that's gonna be a 26.

- Oh!

- So Zelda and Penny round
the corner in the lead.

[panting] Zelda, hey,
Penny, that was awesome!

- You're awesome!

- Let me know if you're
gonna do the scrapbook club

'cause I would come with you if you were.

- It's a scrapbook review club.

- You know, I don't want
to review scrapbooks.

I would make one with you though.

- My God, that's so nice. [screams wildly]

She leaps from the saddle,
spins twirling in the air

and basically like leaving
your skateboard in midair

spinning trick and gives
you flanking on the harpy.

Go ahead and roll your attack roll.

- You are a goddess!
- I love you!

- Plus nine, 24.
- That is a hit.

Roll damage plus sneak attack.

- All right, wait, and I was
throwing a dagger, right?

- Yes.

- They're not close enough to rapier?

- No, not close enough to rapier.

- Yeah, yeah, okay, I wouldn't even try.

[die taps table]
[Becca gasps]

No, sorry, sorry, that's
a lie, that's a dirty lie.

I saw four sides but that's 'cause...

[adventurous instrumental music]

Eight piercing damage goes.

- To the harpy, and then
roll 5d6 sneak attack.

- You didn't see me coming, b*tch.

Nine, 10, 16!

- How did you even pick
up five dice like that?

- Yeah, right?
- Oh, I was ready!

- Your dagger flies from your hand.

These harpies have exactly 16 hit points

so dagger leaves your
hand, flies through the air

and it's a perfect line of blood
that leaves her slit throat

[gasps] as the line goes
out and turns into droplets

of blood as she spirals out of
the air, slams into the side

of the mountain and tumbles into the mist.

[players cheering]
- Okay, I would like

to dodge each splatter of blood
to keep my outfit pristine.

- [laughs] As crisp as
possible, we love it.

Zelda has made her leap to the far side

although they're in midair.

And she's going to make some
attacks on this harpy as well.

She slashes, injures that harpy

and lands on the far side
of the blown-out bridge.

Now I believe it's Danielle's
turn, it should be.

- Danielle gallops at speed

towards the broken bridge

and points forward and vines
sprout up from the ground

grabbing the harpy

and it's gonna make a dex saving throw.

- Incredible, dex saving throw.

Ooh, that might do it,

- All right, so it's pulled 20
feet backwards towards Penny.

- [Aabria] Nice.
- Amazing.

It is pulled 20 feet towards,
awesome, yes, done deal.

- Which would give her
attack of opportunity.

- I've already used to my
reaction to hold my action.

- Yes, that was your reaction

so you've used your reaction to hold that.

- But did Zelda?
- Ooh.

- Oh yeah, that's right
'cause Zelda would be...

- Ooh, I will,

yeah, we can let Zelda have
an attack of opportunity.

- She needs to have some fun.
- Wow, hey, she hits with a 19

does 10 damage, that harpy
has its throat slashed.

[players cheering]
Attack of opportunity.

- Zelda!
- Zelda's great!

- Yeah, that was awesome!

- [Becca] We did it with teamwork!

- Thanks, my God, I was
mostly focused on jumping.

My form could have been better, but...

- [Players] No.
- How can you judge it?

- No, it was great.
- Thank you.

- And as a bonus action
that vine, I'm gonna say,

and you can tell me if
I can do this or not.

That vine goes floomp
and creates a bridge.

- Ooh, what spell are you using right now?

- Grasping Vine.
- Grasping Vine, I dig it.

I'm going to say that
you do create a bridge.

This is going to give advantage
on the athletics checks.

This gap is 21 feet wide,
just three feet past

where your horses need to be.

So that vine will give the
horses advantage on their roll.

It's only a DC 13 athletics check.

They have a +4 so that means they need

to roll a nine or higher and
because of the Grasping Vine

they're rolling with advantage, okay?

- Okay.
- Okay.

- Amazing.
- Ooh, look at that.

- The vines cross.
- Ooh!

- That's so cool!
- [Aabria] Yo!

- TaleSpire is so cool.
- It's very cool.

- [Persephone] Like, it's very cool.

- [Brennan] Yes, it's
incredibly, incredibly cool.

- [Rekha] Holy sh*t!

- [Brennan] So Strawberry
Dancer is going to roll first

making this big leap.

- [Aabria] Let's go baby.

- [Brennan] With an 11,
Strawberry Dancer clears the gap

in the bridge, making
it to the other side.

- [Isabella] Look,
they're putting flowers.

- [Becca] Oh, and Strawberry
Dancer made lilies appear.

- See, horses are beautiful.

- Or maybe Danielle did that.
- I think Danielle-

- [Brennan] Incredible.

- Strawberry Dancer ran past there so.

- And then did we move

did we moveSnowfire the maximum distance

as well or no?
- [Aabria] Oh my God.

- [Becca] Purple?
- Oh, I don't know if we can.

I haven't been able to-
- [Brennan] Yeah.

- [Aabria] This is beautiful.

- [Persephone] Beautiful bridges.

- [Aabria] Yeah.
- [Persephone] Yeah.

- I'd like to have my
wedding on this bridge.

- We're redecorating toll mountains now.

- [Persephone] Yeah.
- Wow.

- I would like to marry
that statue on this bridge.

- Okay and I'm gonna need an
athletics check with advantage.

- Everybody's got advantage.

- I'm gonna need an athletics
check with advantage.

- From everybody?
- From Danielle.

- And you said nine makes it?
- Nine makes it.

- Yeah, I'm good.
- Amazing.

Snowfire goes, "Hello, I'm Snowfire."

[players laughing]
Goes over the top.

- Did that make you laugh?

- It made me laugh a
little bit, I laughed.

I decided to do a silly one.

- Yeah, the other ones are
just sorta straight horses.

- Oh, the other ones are perfectly,

they're just straight shooters.

- [Rekha] Pretty voice of reason horses.

- [Brennan] Yeah, absolutely.

- I just wanted to throw in a silly one.

- Yeah, your very grounded
scrapbooking horse.

- [Brennan] Yes, exactly, exactly.

- It's a pony.
- Pony!

- Yeah, sorry, but reviewing scrapbooks.

- Happy pony.

- Okay, now I feel like
we're losing our minds

with this vine.
- [Persephone] Yeah.

- [Brennan] Antiope, that's you.

I'm gonna need an athletics check

with advantage for your horse.

- Yeah, we're good.
- Hell yes, amazing.

Alagonia says, "On my planet the gravity

is four times as high meaning
that I jump incredibly far

here on Spyre" and goes over
the gap, makes it to the steps.

- Oh my God, I love you.

- Alagonia says Spyre like a robot, Spyre.

- [laughs] Spyre.

- They get to stay with us forever, right?

- Katja, go ahead and give me
athletic check for Cinnamon.

- 12 plus.
- [Brennan] Plus.

- Yeah, plus.
- [Erika] But advantage.

- Advantage, but you make it anyway.

Cinnamon, "Yes, we've done it!

Oh, beautiful horse magic, my mistress."

- You can just call it magic.

I already know magic is all about horses.

[group laughing]

I [smooching] you're perfect,
you're perfect. [laughs]

- You're perfect, you're
perfect, you're perfect.

Sam, that's gonna be you.

I'm gonna need an athletics check for-

- [Rekha] With advantage.

- With advantage, right?
- [Brennan] With advantage.

- Can I just say, you might not know

that just having one thing
of being a horse girl

is like enough of a thing.

It's enough of a thing.

- [Isabella] Look at Rekha.

- That was never in question? [chuckles]

- Huh, what are you asking me?
- That's not a question.

- Are you asking me to
care less about my horse?

- [Persephone] Oh my
God, that's two fours.

- I'll die before I do that!
- [Brennan] Two fours.

- I just like, I just like-
- [Brennan] So you see-

But Feather Fall's still on.

- So you see Taffodil goes, "Here we go.

Oh, I'm a little too
light to jump" and goes

and kind of gets tangled up in the vines

and begins to sort of
drift off to the side.

- Oh no!
- Says, "Can you believe it?

What a day."
- Oh my God, Taffodil.

- [laughs] Sam, oh my.

- I am going to-

- [Brennan] I can't, this is like-

- Fly myself over with my winged boots

and then Lightning Lure
the horse over to me.

- Yeah, Taffodil says, "Days like this,

I'm so glad horses don't have newspapers

'cause they'd put my
face in there for sure

saying this is the worst
jumping horse that's ever been."

[players laughing]

- You're fine, sweetie, I believe in you.

- Oh my God.
- Just don't do it again.

- Okay, I hope I don't.
- I'm sorry I zapped you.

- No, hey, I deserve it, getting me-

- Hey Katja, could
horses have a newspaper?

[Becca gasps]
[Brennan laughing]

[Aabria laughing]

- [Isabella] They f*cking do battle.

- She's gone, she's gone now.
- Voice to text crystal.

- Idea, horse newspaper,
horse news hourly. [laughs]

- Oh my God, an hourly newspaper?

That's a lot of paper.
- Yeah, print and-

- For peeing!

- Ostentatia, go ahead and
give me an athletics check

making a final leap for
your horse for Starforge.

- Beep, boop, beep.

- [Brennan] Plus four, so whatever,

plus four to the higher of your two rolls.

- Why is it +4?

- Because that's the horse's strength.

- Oh, the horse so...
- Yes, yes, yes.

- 16.
- 16, perfect.

Starforge goes across, [mimics
hooves pounding bridge] ah.

- You don't need to say anything.

[group laughing]
- And finally, Candyheart.

- Okay, Candyheart, you've
done a really good job

and when you're done you can go back

to your scrapbooking club.
- Okay.

- Scrapbook.
- You can do it!

- 16 and a nat one, but
that's a reroll anyway.

Doesn't matter.

- He goes, all right,
well I love scrapbook club

and I love jumping,
whoom, goes over the side.

- Whee!
- Amazing.

The Seven Maidens clear the final gap

and ascend the steps into the sanctum

[players cheering]
[players clapping]

of the Temple of the Earth Defiant.

And that is all for this
episode of Dimension 20.

Tune in next week as we find the secret

at the heart of the Temple
of the Earth Defiant, later!

- Later!

- [Players] Bye!

- [Isabella] Night.

- Wait, you need a horse license?

[Rekha laughing]

[group laughing]

- Yeah.
[object rings on impact]

- f*ck yes!

- Did you just f*cking leave
after I summoned you here?

- Hold one tool between your
pinkie and ring finger then-

- My what and my who?
- I'm so sorry, I'm being-

- Okay, slow it way down
like I'm a foal, please.

- If people want to take
care of you, they do.

- Teamwork.
