book about an explorer named Marco

Polo ex what an Explorer uh someone who

travels around looking for new lands

Christopher Columbus was an Explorer

you've heard of him haven't you yes

ma'am well Marco Polo was another

Italian explorer that sounds like a

great book Miss Lenor does it have lots

of

pictures oh so it's a picture book you

want wow this is great Rory see what I

tell you

Polo when Marco Polo was a boy he went

to visit a great

tenter the world is a very very small

place and it is surrounded on all

East and sets in the

west there may be people in the

East and people in the west but no

one has ever never seen them the East is

called the land of the

rising the Land of the Rising

Sun I shall go in search for the Land of

the Rising Sun but you shall Voyage over

rough seas and face the Perils of

monsters from the deep

and so Marco Polo set out on his long

journey Guided by the Rising

Sun in his Gondola Marco Polo was pulled

down the canals of Venice to the Open

Sea and there he boarded a much bigger

boat a sailing

vessel after the perilous sea Voyage

Marco Polo landed on a strange Shore and

found the only way to continue his

journey was by

camel Marco Polo traveled the old Silk

Road Eastward towards the great

mountains of the

himalayans here he climbed the

treacherous CBS We Can't Stop Now Rory

or all will be lost we have come a long

way on our journey to find the Land of

the Rising Sun High in the mountain they

faced a great snow storm there were

times when it seemed they were wi with

the great drifts and would be lost

forever don't stop or the snow will

cover you like a

snowman Rory I know you're tired but we

mustn't fall asleep it's sure to stop

snowing once more the sun rose and

melted the snow away

way there before The Travelers Rose the

Great Wall of China One of the wonders

of the ancient world majestically it

soared and swept down into valleys

Beyond into the kingdom of the great KH

the ruler of ancient China a Rory

look the sun is rising over the Great

Wall I think we've come to the land of

the Rising

Sun come on let's

go China was a beautiful country people

came from far and near to buy their

goods it's a fact that every day more

than 1,000 cartloads of silk and cloth

of gold were brought into the city to

sell here the great con welcomed

visitors from

afar the great KH sat upon his throne

Regal in his

vestments

oh you have traveled far and many months

to get here from your home in Italy

well yes but um he isn't exactly Italian

steaming bowl of what the Chinese called

noodles the great con with the aid of

his eating instruments which he called

Chopsticks dished out the new for his

guests when Marco Polo returned home to

Italy he carried with him the dried

strand which when he cooked them for his

friends they called Pasta Pasta I

thought it was spaghetti I thought it

was

Italian well that's because Marco Polo

brought spaghetti back to his hometown

of Venice which is in Italy and Italians

loved it they never would have guessed

that that spaghetti came from China wow
