one of the world's most famous geysers!

-Little known fact,

most geysers sh**t out hot water,
but not Old Dependable.

This right here is a cold-water geyser.

Yep, nice and cool.

Mr. Morales,
what makes the water sh**t out like that?

Great question, Peter.

You see, sometimes
when there's water underground,

it can get bubbly and build up pressure.

I'll demonstrate
with this bottle of sparkling water.

When I shake it, it makes bubbles.

Those bubbles build up pressure.

So, when I open it,

water blasts out the top.

When the bubbles
build up pressure in that geyser,

the water shoots out
from an opening in the ground.

-Wow.
-Cool.

If you think that's cool,

just wait till you find out
what happens tonight at sunset.

That's right, son.

Today is the only day of the year

that the sun will set perfectly

behind Old Dependable,
lighting up the water

and turning it into the glowing geyser!

Yeah. When the sun sets,
it shines on the geyser,

and makes it all orange and yellow.

-Wow, I've gotta see that.

It only happens one day a year.

So now, I'm the one

Boo-hoo, run away, everyone.

Looks like there
won't be any glowing geyser

for you this year. [cackles]

Everyone, this way,
to the ranger station! Quick.

Kids, are you okay?

Yeah, but Dad, watch out!

-Whoo! I'm having a blast!
-[beeps]

[whirs]

Whoa! [grunts]

[Green Goblin giggling]

Hurry this way!

Kids, why don't you head down this trail
to the ranger station?

You'll be safe there. I've gotta go out

and make sure
all the park visitors are safe.

We'll go to the ranger station,
but first we have to stop Gobby.

And return Old Dependable
to normal before sunset.

on that dinosaur robot.

Looks like I chased everyone away.

And he won't be
able to blast water at anyone.

I'll sneak
around behind and start pulling.

And I'll distract him
so he doesn't see you.

Just your friendly
neighborhood Spidey-Rex!

And I'm stopping you and your robot!

You may be a dino now,
but you're still no match for me.

[grunts]

[strained] You're gonna
have to do better than that!

Okay, now's our chance!

Time to shut down the waterworks!

Hey, stop messing with that--

-[powers down]

We're uncapping that geyser, Gobby!

[spurting]

[strained] Almost got it!

Ugh. Time to give Team Spidey
something else to worry about...

Like stopping a rockslide.

-Rock 'n' roll, dino spiders!
-[beeps]

[cackles loudly]

[rumbling]

[Spidey-Rex] The ranger station
is on the other side of that ridge!

We've gotta stop those boulders!

My dad and all the visitors are there!

[Green Goblin] That should keep them busy.

[rumbling]

Everyone, get to safety!

Team Spidey, thank goodness!

about how a geyser works?

The water builds up pressure
until it blasts out through the opening.

we plugged up the robot's mouth?

be nowhere for the water to go.

The pressure would build and build...

...until it explodes!

We could use a boulder!

But how are we going to get his mouth
open wide enough to hold one?

[Spidey] I have an idea.

And if it works,
we'll shut down Gobby just in time

for the glowing geyser!

[gasps] And it's almost sunset.

Looks like the glowing geyser
really will be ruined this year.

that will be ruined...

People came from all over
to see this year's glowing geyser,

and we're not gonna let you ruin it.

-[bolts clanging]

you need to get out of there!

[Green Goblin screaming]

My beautiful dino-robot!

It's all ruined!

That Green Goblin
tried to ruin everything.

And you should have seen the size
of those boulders he blasted.

One almost hit the ranger station.

-Oh, and look! The sun is setting!
-Oh, yeah.

We need to get to the geyser!

-We can't miss it!
-Let's go.

Okay, folks, here we go.

[all] Three, two, one, go!

[all applauding]

The setting sun striking the water
gives us the glowing geyser!

[all cheering]

I've never seen anything like it.

It's so amazing!

It really is glowing, Dad,
just like you said it would.

That's right, son.

Old Dependable
is back to being dependable,

all thanks to Team Spidey.

-[woman] That's amazing!
