I started to feel very unheard,

I started to feel very, very disrespected.

When I covered your mouth,
I feel like that made it even worse.

Because I guess it was like
me trying to control you, in a sense.

But I just wanted you to stop being upset.

I literally tried
to remove myself to be cool,

and it kept getting
thrown back in my face,

saying, "Oh, you're insecure."

There were times where,
yes, I did cut you off.

You were assuming a lot of things
of how I felt

and what was going on in my mind,

and it literally just, like,

irritated me so much,
'cause I'm just like,

"I don't know
how to talk to you right now."

You just kept yelling, and you're just
like, "Okay, speak, speak, speak."

And I just felt belittled.

I apologize for how things happened,

but you can't talk
and listen at the same time.

I started talking,
and I kept getting cut off,

so I was like,
"Okay, I'll stop, but please speak."

I wasn't saying it in a disrespectful way.

And I can't sit here and pretend like

at that point, everything coming
from your end was kosher either.

That's the problem.

What you think is disrespectful
is different

from what I think is disrespectful.

That's fair.

[Alex] You don't think what you
were saying or doing was disrespectful

because that wasn't the intent behind it,

but to me, it was disrespectful,

which is why it kept escalating,

which is why I kept getting more
and more upset.

I felt like I couldn't even
get a grasp on talking to you.

Before I left out of here,
one of the last things I said to you was,

"I feel very unheard."

I'm trying to tell you
my love language is listening.
