- The Defenders still have

the Doomsday warhead at Monitor, Sire.

And your simulation override was not strong enough

to destroy their minds.

- Yes, but I have made an invaluable discovery.

By incorporating my unique Star of Mongo crystal,

with its special molecular structure,

into the circuitry of my override device,

I can then use the fertile imagination

of that young Defender pest, Kshin,

to create real warriors to steal the warhead back

and destroy the Defenders once and for all.

- With all due respect, Sire,

how will you obtain the boy?

- The child has a pet, does he not, Octon?

- Yes, Sire. A Zuffoid.

- That is the answer, Octon.

I will use the boy's love of his pet to capture him.

Alert Garax,

I want that Zuffoid immediately.

Octon! I have work to do and a planet to conquer.

- Hey, you guys ready

for another of Kshin's famous Mind Simulations?

- Any time, Rick.

- This one's for you, Zuffy.

[chirps]

[gibberish]

- My Lord, Zuffy.

- Zuffy's getting a real kick out of this.

- That's nothin', watch this.

- Not again--the controller shorted out again!

I'll work on it some more after school.

[Zuffy chirps]

- Kshin, I'm afraid you've got one

very unsatisfied customer.

[laughter]

- Here we go again.

Another day, another textbook.

I'll see you guys later.

- Zuffy, what're you doing here?

[chirps]

- Sorry, they don't allow Zuffoids in school.

I'll see you this afternoon, okay?

[chirps]

[muttering]

[murmuring]

[chirps]

- Escape is useless.

Emperor Ming demands your presence.

- Zuffy. Zuffy!

Have you seen Zuffy? - Not now, Kshin.

- I'm gonna look for him in Central City, okay, Rick?

- Sure, sure, Kshin. Whatever.

- Zuffy. Zuffy.

Where are you?

Hmm.

If I were Zuffy,

where would I go?

Of course.

The Arcade.

Zuffy loves Space Conquerors.

- Hey, Kshin. - Hi, Kshin.

- Hi, guys.

Have any of you seen Zuffy?

Space Conquerors.

Zuffy?

Are you in here?

- I have been waiting for you, little Defender.

- Ming.

- Come in.

Sit down.

- How, how did you know I'd be here?

- Ming knows all.

If you ever want to see that Zuffoid pest again

- Zuffy!

- You will do exactly as I tell you.

- Move quickly, Earth boy.

- I have brought the boy, my lord.

- Zuffy!
[ … ]

- I understand Zuffoids hate the cold.

- Put him down!

- Enjoy your new home, pest.

- Zuffy!

- Octon,

strap him into my simulation override device.

- No! Let me go!

- The Battle Simulation Room.

- That is correct, Earthling.

I have patched

my enhanced simulation override into it.

- What's this got to do with me?

- You have a vivid imagination, my young friend.

I want you to create a powerful warrior team.

- No! I won't do it!

- Reach deep into his mind, Octon

and pull out the most horrible fighters you can find.

- Yes, Sire!

- You will obey and create a team of Mind Warriors

that will steal the Doomsday Warhead

and destroy the Defenders once and for all!

[laughs]

No, no!

No!

- What have I done?

- You have helped me

create the greatest army ever assembled

to defeat the Defenders of the Earth.

Radiarm,

master of weapons.

- I shall destroy Flash Gordon.

- Zalzar,

Demon of Darkness!

- Mandrake's illusions are no match

for my superior magic.

- Bi- Ninja,

the ultimate hand- to- hand combat warrior.

- I am stronger than Lothar and faster than L.J.

- Ripper, with the strength of wild beasts.

- The Phantom's ten tiger ghosts

are no match for my beast powers.

- Jammer Head, whose telepathic thought waves

are designed to control Jedda's mind.

- My powerful thought force will destroy her mind.

- And Neutron Man,

whose very touch is deadly.

- I will turn Rick Gordon's body to dust

with a touch of my atomizing hand.

- Each warrior has been designed by your imagination

to defeat a particular Defender.

Go now, Mind Warriors

and track down your victims.

Crush them until there is nothing left.

- Then take the Doomsday warhead

to my secret asteroid base.

- The twenty-four hour deactivation sequence

is almost complete.

- Hey, anyone seen Kshin?

I can't find him anywhere.

- He went to Central City to look for Zuffy.

- Take five, g*ng.

There's no way Ming'll get his claws

on the warhead now.

- Listen, did you hear that?

Look.

- Greetings, Defenders.

- Who are you?

- The opposites of yourselves!

Created for Ming

by the vivid imagination of Kshin.

- Kshin?

Ming has Kshin?

- What do you want?

- I, Radiarm, claim the doomsday warhead

in the name of Emperor Ming, the Merciless.

- If you want that warhead

you'll have to go through me to get it.

- Flash Gordon.

You fool!

You cannot destroy

one who does not live!

- Jedda, Rick, Protect the warhead!

- Right, Dad.

[laughs]

- Surrender now,

and I will make your destruction quick.

- We'll see about that.

- Jedda!

I forbid you to harm me.

Now, release the cable.

- Beware, father and son.

Your fight is finished before it's begun.

- Not if your battle strategy's as lousy as your poetry.

Hi- ya!

[all grunting]

- Which is real, and which is illusion?

- It does not matter,

I will destroy you all.

- Follow me! I've got an idea.

- Help me tip it.
[ … ]

- After them!

- We gotta come up with a new plan

for dealin' with those dudes.

- It's too late, my friends,

they've taken the Doomsday Warhead.

- We've tangled with Ming's forces before,

and down deep I always felt we'd beat 'em.

But this time I'm not so sure.

- Excellent, Radiarm.

Take the warhead to my asteroid base.

Octon, I am pleased by the way

you have twisted the child's imagination.

- Thank you, Sire.

- Now, prepare my throne room

for departure to my secret asteroid base.

The Earthling will remain here as my prisoner.

- Where's Zuffy?

- The Zuffoid is unimportant.

[squeaks]

- Once I have the Doomsday Warhead in my hands,

all of Earth will be mine.

- Defender alert! Defender alert!

The Mind Warriors are back.

- And they're inside Monitor.

Quick, Dynac, activate force fields.

- The Mind Warriors

have sabotaged my defense systems.

- Prepare to meet your doom.

- Fall back!

To the Launch bay.

- Great idea, Dad,

we'll blast them to bits with Terry.

- No, Rick. You go after Kshin.

We'll stay here and keep those g*ons occupied.

- You've got to free Kshin.

It's the only way to destroy those monsters.

- Then we can retrieve and disarm the warhead.

- We've got to put the fate of the Earth ahead of our own.

- Dad, be careful.

- We can handle them, Son.

[all shouting]

- The Young Defenders have escaped.

It doesn't matter.

The Doomsday Warhead

is safe at Ming's asteroid base.

Now we will destroy you, one on one.

- How will we ever find Ice Station Earth?

- I'm picking up a power surge due north of here.

- A Mongo ship.

So, the worms are leaving their hole.

- And we're going in.

- The Defenders of the Earth have come to rescue the boy.

Instead they will be lost forever

in a maze of ice.

- We're lost.

- I think we've got company.

[hissing]

- If we hurry we can block off the control room.

- This won't keep those demons out forever.

- Never say die.

- You've given me an idea, Phantom.

The Mind Warriors are programmed to destroy us.

If they think they've succeeded, they might leave.

Dynac? - Yes, Flash.

- I want you to let the Mind Warriors destroy us.

allWhat?!

- My plan is to make them think they've destroyed us.

- Stand aside, warriors.

[all shouting]

- The Defenders of the Earth are beaten.

Let us take the news of our victory to Ming,

the Merciless.

- The Mind Warriors have departed.

- It worked, Flash. You're a genius.

- Ah, it was nothing.

I couldn't have done it without Dynac's holograms of us.

- Oh, really?

- Or without Mandrake's terrific disappearing act.

- Dynac, old girl,

how "bout tracking down the Mind Warrior's ship?

- Stay with 'em, Dynac!

Ming's Warriors will lead us right

to his secret asteroid base and the Warhead.

[chirping]

- Zuffy!

- Yuck!

I feel like a defrosted TV dinner.

- Forgive me,

but it isn't often we get visitors down here,

friend or foe.

- Who are you?

- My name is Ubor.

I'm a rebel from Mongo.

- Are you a Zuffoid also?

- My people evolved from Zuffoids millions of years ago.

Ming conquered our land.

Now I am the last of my kind.

- Do you know where Kshin is?

- Yes,

come, I'll show you.
[ … ]

Follow this tunnel.

It will lead you to Ming's throne room.

- Thanks Ubor.

- Welcome to our Simulation Override Room.

- Kshin!

- Your first visit will be your last.

- That's what you think, tin can.

- Mind Warriors, materialize.

- Bi- Ninja!

- Jammer Head! - Neutron Man!

- Warriors, entertain our guests.

- Kshin, help us fight the Warriors.

- Kshin now serves Ming.

- You're a Defender.

Listen to him, Kshin,

fight Octon.

Fight Ming!

- Defender?

- Stop the Mind Warriors, Kshin.

You are a Defender.

- You can do it, Kshin.

- Mind Warriors,

I don't want you here anymore.

- Go away. - All right, Kshin!

- Good work, Kshin.

- Stop! I order you to bring them back.

- Not a chance, circuit face.

- Let's blow this popsicle stand.

- Sire, the Defenders have escaped with Kshin

and your Override device.

- No matter.

The warhead is almost reassembled.

By the time the Defenders take action,

it will be too late.

- We're home. - Hurray!

- Kshin's back.

- You're all right, Kshin.

- We're not outta the woods yet, g*ng.

We still have to stop

the Doomsday Warhead from reaching Earth.

- Rick took Ming's Overrider.

If we hook it to the Simulator

maybe I can make you guys

as powerful as I made the Mind Warriors.

- An excellent idea, Kshin,

but very dangerous.

- Dangerous, yes, but necessary.

We've got no choice.

Come on, let's go.

- What if the Overrider doesn't work on real people?

- This is it, Kshin, give it all you've got.

- Okay, Flash.

Radiarm is a master of all weapons,

so I'll make you able to deflect all weapons.

- It's working.

- I feel invincible.

- We're in range of Ming's throne room.

- I'll use my mind to teleport you inside.

- Once I launch it,

nothing can stop the Doomsday warhead

from destroying the Earth.

- Intruders!

- The Defenders.

They have used my Override device

to increase their powers.

- Destroy them.

- I can deflect anything you put out, Radiarm.

Piece o' cake.

- You don't look dangerous to me, Magician.

- Appearances can be deceptive.

- Wanna see my protons cancel your Neutrons?

- No, no!

- You shall not mock

the power of the Ghost who walks.

- You destroyed my warriors, Defenders,

but nothing can save the Earth from the Doomsday Warhead.

- Come on, g*ng!

We've got one more job for our special super powers.

- I've set the guidance control.

- We've only got a few seconds.

I have destroyed the Defenders at last.

- I am picking up an outside transmission,

Lord Ming.

- No, it cannot be.

- But it is.

Kshin was able to mentally teleport us

back to our ship,

thanks to your Simulation Override device.

- What's left of it, I'm afraid it burned up.

- Remember, Ming,

we Defenders will always be here to defend the Earth.

Whenever you don't mind your own business.
