From secret alliances to public showmances,
dynamic duos have ruled "Big Brother."
Well, this summer it's double trouble
as we take the idea of the dynamic duo
to a whole new level.
Welcome to "Big Brother."
ANNOUNCER: It's a house like no other, where cameras
follow your every move and microphones
capture your every word.
This is the Big Brother House.
Tonight, a new group of houseguests
will enter this house with one goal in mind--
to be the last one standing.
They will live in total confinement,
cut off from the outside world.
Every week, the houseguests compete for food, luxuries,
and, most importantly, power.
Each week they will vote to evict one of their own
until only one houseguest remains to claim
the half million dollar prize.
Tonight, a season of double trouble begins.
Which notorious pairs from the past will return to play again?
And a dramatic twist in the game will force everyone
to play like never before.
[cackling]
It all starts tonight on "Big Brother."
Good evening.
I'm Julie Chen.
Welcome to a new summer of "Big Brother."
From Will and Boogie to d*ck and Daniele to Jeff and Jordan,
dynamic duos have ruled "Big Brother."
And this season they'll rule it like never
before, because a new twist is about to rock
the Big Brother House.
In just moments, eight complete strangers
will meet for the first time believing they will
play the game as individuals.
But what they don't know is that they will each be forced
to pick a partner to play the game with,
a decision that could make or break
their shot at winning it all.
And for the first time in "Big Brother" history,
three former pairs are coming back
to play the game once again.
Who are they?
We'll find out soon.
But first, just days ago the eight new houseguests
were each surprised with the key to their new summer home.
Who do you think will team up?
[laughing]
I'm on, baby.
,.
Let's do this.
Yay.
Heck, yes.
[whooping] Me me, me, me.
Lawon.
[whooping]
I love, uh, doing crazy things.
I love riding fast.
I love anything that gets my blood pumping.
But the only thing that slows me down is I live with my mom.
Here you go.
Thanks, Mom.
Mmm. -Enjoy.
Don't.
I'm an adrenaline junkie.
I can leave anyone in the dust, but I've
never been able to leave home.
I started modeling when I was about years old.
I'm a Southern tomboy, guy's girl.
I love country music, fishing, and drinking a beer.
Wouldn't you know, fellas?
First catch of the day.
Everyone loves me.
My style, my attitude-- yeah.
No one can resist me.
My accessories are colors-- bright colors, bold colors--
because that's how I feel in life.
I feel bold.
[laughing]
Bam.
[cheering]
I made it.
I'm going to "Big Brother."
That's me.
I'm a youth minister.
When I'm not in church, I'm-- I'm chasing girls.
You know, God wants us to be fruitful and multiply,
so that's all I'm trying to do.
Today, I'm gonna talk to y'all a little bit about temptation.
As a deacon, I also get tempted.
But I got to make sure I focus on the game and not the girl.
Bullseye.
I'm a Vice President of Business Development
for a company that handles the hunting,
fishing, and outdoor market.
My philosophy is you gotta look like a lady, act like a man,
and work like a dog.
I'm going to "Big Brother"!
I'm in the house.
I'm going to "Big Brother."
I'm going to "Big Brother."
[music playing]
I'm the heavy metal teddy bear, because I love metal,
and I love "Beverly Hills ."
So cheers to my appletini girls.
I love you all.
Some guys are ashamed to show their feminine side.
I embrace it.
I am the real-life Carrie from "Sex and the City."
I write a relationship blog, and I am,
like, really good with words.
It's like the gift of gab.
I know exactly how to use it to my advantage.
There better be cute boys.
[laughs]
I'm a VIP waitress at one of the hottest
nightclubs in South Beach.
I'm definitely the hottest girl everywhere I go.
People are going to hate me right off the bat.
[laughs]
Pack your bags.
You got one hour to pack your bags.
-I love you. -I love you.
But I only have one hour to pack.
Go, go, go, go, go.
I gotta go.
I love you.
-I'm ready. -Let's go.
Let's do it.
[screaming]
All right. What do I need?
What do I need?
I need pants.
Tequila, you want to help Mommy pack?
[dog whines]
You cannot be handsomefied unless you have your Gucci
bag with all your necessities.
Roll up the competition just like this,
and then whack 'em on the head.
Any kind of girl that's, you know,
going to be a little too bitchy or, you know,
thinks she can one-up me, she has another think coming.
This is the scrunchy bum bottom.
First thing I'm gonna pack is my Bible.
Can't leave home without it.
When people try to bash their religion down your throat,
I can't stand that. [growling]
Outside of the Bible, the other most important thing is this.
This is my strategy.
This is me and Keith's angels.
This is what's going to get me $, richer.
I really love sex.
Who doesn't love sex?
Anyone who says they don't love sex is completely lying.
I'm a virgin, and I don't plan on having sex
before I'm married at all.
There's always sex in the house, isn't there?
They want me to be g*y, I'd be g*y.
If they want me to be straight, I'd be straight.
I mean, if there is an older lady that wants to cook
and clean for me, great.
Let's do it.
They can clean up after themself.
I'm not gonna be their momma.
Mom, I need you to fold my clothes.
See you later, Grandma.
OK.
Win this for us.
I'll try to.
You want me to take your puppy?
I love you.
I love you, too.
Be strong, OK?
OK.
I love you.
I love you, too.
Bye, Mom.
I love you.
-Be strong. -All right.
I will.
Aw, I feel like I'm leaving my parents for summer camp.
Bye, bestie.
I love you.
Baby, I'm coming back with the half million.
Peace, Miami.
I'm out.
Going to "Big Brother."
Bye, I love you all.
I love you.
Bye.
L-A-W-O-N. Handsomefied.
Now that you've learned a bit about the new houseguests,
let's bring them out.
This is the first time that the houseguests
are all seeing each other.
They have no idea what's in store for them,
and they are not allowed to speak to one another
until they are inside the house.
Welcome, houseguests.
Take a good look around you.
You may have noticed that there are only eight of you.
As you know, anything can happen in the Big Brother House.
The only thing that is certain is
that you are about to embark on a grueling summer-long power
struggle.
Once you walk through that door behind you,
you won't come out until you've either been evicted
or won the half million dollar grand prize.
Is everyone ready?
ALL: Yes.
Good.
That's what I like to hear.
You'll be entering in two groups.
The first four to enter the Big Brother House
are Porsche, Dominic, Lawon, and Shelly.
Please enter the house now.
You will have one minute to choose your new bed
by placing your bag on it.
[cheering]
Yeah, baby.
We made it.
We got a minute.
We got it.
They said to get a minute to get the beds, remember?
Wait, why-- there's only eight people.
I know.
Why the hell is there only eight people?
Yeah, but how many it means are coming?
What do you see, girl?
Yeah.
This is me.
This is me right here.
-This is it. -Dominic.
Wow, man. Lawon.
Lawon. Nice to meet you, brother.
Nice to meet you, man.
I cannot believe that I, Lawon, is in the Big Brother House.
I am just so happy.
Oh, my god.
I love it.
It's so pink.
Porsche.
Shelly.
Nice to meet you.
Oh, my god.
Nice to meet you.
I gotta be honest, Porsche sounds
a little bit like a stripper name, but she seemed cool.
So we'll see how it goes.
There's, like, a crazy surprise.
There's gotta be, because there's never just--
Oh, my god.
That leaves Cassi, Kalia, Keith, and Adam.
You may now enter your new home.
[cheering]
[yelling]
There's definitely lots of eye candy to look at.
These girls are just absolutely hot.
The Lord is my shepherd, and he knows what I want.
Bedrooms.
Bedrooms.
Bedrooms are that way, yeah.
-Just girls. -Oh, grape.
Somebody stole the grape bed? -Girly room.
Seven, eight, nine.
Nice to finally meet you.
I'm looking at Keith, and I'm thinking for sure
this is going to be the big character in the house.
Right on, man.
If you're going to wear a flower, go big or go home.
I know, right?
I have a huge hair phobia.
I hate sharing a shower with anybody.
I hate hair everywhere.
If it's not attached to your head, I hate it.
So being in this house is like my nightmare come true.
[cheering]
Look at you.
Let me see.
Wow.
You probably just saw my butt under there, huh?
No, it's all right.
One of my best features is definitely my personality,
and the doctors did help a little bit.
There's going to be people.
It's four people--
There's settings.
--hiding out somewhere.
I know there's a twist somewhere,
because there's only eight of us in the house, and I'm counting.
There's, like, beds, there's place settings.
I know it's not going to be just eight.
I'm already expecting the unexpected.
I'm not even tripping.
I got my mind frame all ready.
I'm serious. -So, all right.
So we're assessing. We're assessing things.
Somebody'll come at night.
place settings, beds.
Oh.
So y'all want to sit down and tell--
Yeah, we should sit.
KEITH: Sit down and talk about, see what we do,
see what everybody does.
Only eight glasses.
Maybe that means we're supposed to start drinking now.
I'm not shy.
You know, looking around at everyone,
I see a lot of pretty people and some snazzy dressers.
But I'm wondering, you know, do these guys have any game?
I know Adam's going to dominate this house.
I'm going to take these people, I'm going to use 'em up,
I'm going to spit 'em out.
They don't know what they're in for.
[cheering]
DOMINIC: All right.
You want to start with, like, introductions?
My name is Keith.
I'm from a small suburb outside of Chicago.
I have a identical twin brother, and professionally we
have a relationship consulting service.
Like, we do matchmaking.
Oh, fun.
I definitely don't want any of the houseguests
to know that I'm a ordained deacon, because then
they'll automatically assume that I'm
going to start judging them.
So I tell all the houseguests that I'm a matchmaker.
I want them to feel comfortable coming
to me, especially the ladies.
But I have a weakness for women.
You know, first they get my eyes, then they get my heart.
ALL: Aw.
That was so sweet.
[laughter]
I'm Adam.
I'm .
I'm from Hoboken, New Jersey, right outside of New York.
Yay.
And, uh, I'm a metal head, I love bacon,
and my favorite TV show besides "Big Brother"
is "Beverly Hills ."
[cheering]
Yay.
I love that show.
ADAM: No joke.
No joke.
A metal head that loves "."
"."
[metal scream]
[metal scream]
[yelling]
My name is Shelly, and I grew up in Centerville, Ohio.
I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, now.
I've been there.
I'm married.
I am a mom to a beautiful eight-year-old little girl.
ALL: Aw.
She's awesome.
My name is Kalia.
The drink is Kahlua.
[laughter]
KALIA: That always helps.
I am , and I am a writer.
I write a dating, sex, and relationship column.
[cheering]
KEITH: God has blessed Kalia extremely.
She has those puppies that look like they're ready to fight
and jump out of that dress.
We gonna have a fun summer.
All right.
My name's Dominic.
I'm .
I'm from the San Francisco Bay area.
Uh, I'm a college student, business major.
And I make my money by modeling.
I generally go for guys with dark hair,
um, some kind of ethnicity.
You know, tall, dark, and handsome.
He's definitely the best-looking guy of the whole group.
I've never lived outside of home.
I've always lived at home. It's my first time.
You know how to do dishes?
Because there ain't no dishwasher here.
I'm gonna learn.
Can you teach me?
I can teach you.
My name's Porsche.
My parents named me after the car.
They thought it was pretty funny.
Yeah.
I'm a student.
I'm from Delray Beach, Florida, and, um, yeah.
I don't know.
That's about it. [laughs]
I told everyone that I was a student, and I'm not.
I'm a VIP c*ck waitress.
I didn't want to tell the other houseguests about my real job,
because I'm afraid that they'll think
my life is a little too luxurious to be
going after the big prize.
My name is Lawon.
[giggling]
Um, I've been living in Los Angeles for six years now.
I love to have fun.
I ain't gonna lie.
Love people.
I'm gonna forget y'all's names, but by the end,
I'm serious, I'mma have nicknames for all of y'all.
-Sharp dresser. -Thank you.
Very sharp.
You haven't seen nothing yet.
Last but not least.
Uh, my name's Cassi--
-Save the best for last. -Oh, look.
He's already working on me.
[laughter]
So I'm from a little suburb of Dallas.
Right now I'm interning, um, stylist's assistant.
And I'm planning on going to school this next year
in New York for, uh, styling.
I didn't want to, um, admit that I model for a living.
When people think of models, they
assume that we're narcissistic, we
want to steal your boyfriend, that we think we're
better than everybody else.
I just didn't want that stigma attached to me.
OK, OK, toast.
I'm ready to drink.
To living in this big house, spending time
with some of the most beautiful women
in the history of my life.
[laughter]
The party's going, I'm sipping champagne,
but in the back of my mind, I know that there are more
people coming in this house.
To rock and roll.
[cheering]
The game has begun, but the Big Brother House is not full yet.
Three former "Big Brother" duos will
soon enter the house with a second shot at winning it all.
Who's returning to the game?
And how will the houseguests react when this summer's twist
turns everything upside down?
Stay with us.
[music playing]
[music playing]
Welcome back to "Big Brother."
Just moments ago, eight complete strangers
entered the Big Brother House to begin a summer-long battle
to win a half million dollars.
But they're about to be blindsided.
For the first time ever, the houseguests
will be forced to pick a partner and play the game in pairs.
How will they react when they learn
about this season's twist?
Let's find out.
Hello, houseguests.
Hi, Julie. JULIE: Hi, there.
Julie.
Hi.
JULIE: Everyone, please take a seat in the living room.
Hi, Julie.
I'm so scared.
JULIE: Hello, hello.
All right.
If you know anything about "Big Brother,"
you know one thing-- expect the unexpected.
Where are they?
[laughter]
JULIE: Well, let's not waste any time.
Throughout the history of "Big Brother,"
dynamic duos have ruled the game.
Dan and Memphis, Rachel and Brendon,
and who could ever forget Dr. Will and Mike Boogie?
Now, with that said, it's time to reveal our first twist.
Oh, my gosh.
JULIE: I'm glad you've had some time to get to know one
another, because this summer you will
be partnering and playing the game with someone in this room.
Wow.
What?
Who you choose will be up to you.
But make your choice wisely, because the game has changed.
If you win Head of Household, you and your partner
will be safe for the week.
But instead of nominating two individual houseguests
for eviction, you will be nominating one duo.
That means that duo will then be forced to campaign
against each other--
Oh, man.
JULIE: --in order to stay in the game.
Julie, there goes my strategy.
JULIE: I'll be back in a little while to get your decisions.
Good luck, houseguests.
Wait, just-- just this?
The eight of us gotta team up in twos, and how we team up
is all up to us.
You know, it's so important I pick the right partner.
I mean, picking the wrong partner
could be the difference of going home week one,
or picking the right partner could help
me win half a million dollars.
So I had to pick wisely.
Thanks a lot, Julie.
I had the perfect plan coming into this game.
I was going to align myself with these women.
We were going to call ourselves Keith's Angels,
and we were going to run this game.
Now we got this twist.
I'm crushed.
OK, well, I'm just going to break the ice.
Porsche, I want you to be my partner.
Would you-- would you do it?
But then we have to go against each other,
and I like your outfit.
She's like, that's not going to help.
You have the flower power going on.
All right.
DOMINIC: Keith, what are you thinking?
Honestly, like, you are not picking a prom date,
you're picking a partner for a game.
You're an idiot.
You're thinking with the wrong head, Keith.
Are you guys already partners back there?
-Yeah. -We're good.
Shelly and I, we're both from the South,
we're both guy's girls, real laid-back,
and I love her and I feel really good about our partnership.
You want to team up?
I'm down.
And then out of nowhere, "you."
This loud, crazy, martini-sipping, -loving,
bacon eater wants to be my partner.
And I'm thinking to myself, this is not
a good situation here, because if I
say no, I might die right now.
And if I say yes, uh, I'm obviously going
to be this man's jail buddy.
LAWON: Kahlua, you ready, babe?
I got you, Boo.
KALIA: Next thing I know, by default, I am with Lawon.
And I was like, thanks.
Definitely don't want the big crazy flamboyant guy
as your partner in a game where you want to lay low.
-So that's it. -We're done.
JULIE: All right, houseguests, I need you to please take
a seat next to your partner.
All right.
So that means Adam, Dominic, the two of you
are partners, correct?
TOGETHER: Yes.
JULIE: Porsche and Keith, the two of you are a team, correct?
Look at y'all already, like, all cuddled up.
JULIE: OK.
Cassi and Shelly, the two of you have partnered up, correct?
Yeah.
Yes.
JULIE: And finally, Lawon--
Yes.
JULIE: --and Kalia.
Now, I know some of you have been wondering why there are
only eight of you in the house.
Here we go.
JULIE: All I can say is that the twists are far from over.
You aren't the only pairs playing this game.
Good luck, houseguests.
Thanks.
-Oh, Julie. -That's it?
-Really? -That's it.
[disappointed yells]
Well, we accomplished nothing from that meeting.
Let's go back to the bedroom.
That's the only information she gave us.
They're already paired.
It's got to be old houseguests.
We're all sticking together right here, right?
Yes.
We're all sticking together.
We're doing it?
This is a big alliance right here.
[cheering]
[applause]
DOMINIC: So cheesy, but I love it.
[chatter]
You know, I'm just, like, a little bit nervous.
Like, would he, like, want to throw
me under the bus or something?
That's the thing.
Yeah, 'cause yours is, like, super-- super funky, too.
Do you think it'll be, like, previous people?
Well, that's what I'm thinking.
I'm just, like, hoping it's not, like, significant others
or something, like, the people.
But it's hard, because you're like, everyone in here,
you're like, I like everybody. -Exactly.
Like, we're all, like-- [doorbell rings]
KALIA: Oh, my god.
Oh.
Oh, my god.
KEITH: We got another houseguest.
Are you all ready for double trouble?
Brendon and Rachel.
SHELLY: Oh, my gosh.
Welcome to "Big Brother."
Brenchel is a beast of a couple.
It is a male named Brendon and a female named Rachel.
Last season they won tons of challenges.
They had the whole house against them, so I'm scared.
SHELLY: Did you get engaged? -Yep.
We're engaged.
Yeah.
It's beautiful.
Congratulations.
Brendon took me out on a hot air balloon ride,
and he proposed to me on the beach.
I'm not sure who cried more when I asked her.
So, but it was really-- it meant a lot to me.
RACHEL: Is this everyone?
So far.
Where's the-- let's see it.
Yeah.
Let's see the house.
Oh, my god.
I can't believe we're on "Big Brother" again.
Rachel ran in the door, and it was like, hey guys.
And it's like-- dinga dinga ding.
They're, like, their own, like, houseguest.
This house is so pimp.
Shut up.
Oh, my god.
KALIA: That's so funny that they came back.
They're all--
You know, Rachel and Brendon walking in the house,
my metal side came out.
You're not taking over my house.
[laughter]
I'm back, b*tches, and better than ever.
We are the dynamic duo, double trouble, watch out,
houseguests, you have no idea what you're in for.
I'm Rachel.
I don't know if you guys know that.
She's very quiet.
Very-- very docile.
You'll never know I'm here.
It's weird.
SHELLY: Whose laugh is this? [cackles]
[laughs]
[cackles]
[laughs]
Ugh.
[laughs]
[doorbell rings]
SHELLY: Oh, my god.
RACHEL: Oh, my god.
ADAM: Oh, Jesus.
Here we go again.
[applause]
KEITH: Jeff and Jordan.
Oh, Jeff and Jordan.
Man, it's like the sweetheart couple of "Big
Brother," Jeff and Jordan.
I thought, I am in the company of "Big Brother" royalty.
I can't stop smiling.
Oh, yes.
My favorite ever.
I-- this is an honor.
Oh, my god.
My jaw is hanging on the ground, and somebody needed to go--
I mean, I was just shocked.
I never thought in a million years I'd meet Jeff and Jordan.
Awesome.
What's up?
How are you, Jeff?
I'm starstruck.
I love these guys, but now I gotta play against them.
Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you.
The relationship is still going strong.
We've been together about a year and a half.
Right?
How long is "Big Brother"?
Three months?
Yeah.
Like, and we came here the same time two years ago
minus three months.
What is that?
Two years?
A year and, like, nine months.
Yeah.
That was a tough math problem.
RACHEL: Wait, is this everyone?
There's probably another couple coming.
Brendon and Rachel walked in, and I
was like, I know these two are fierce competitors.
With Jeff and Jordan coming back, Jordan won the season.
The fact that these people are going
to get in my way of winning this season ticks me off.
Do you think there's more houseguests?
That's what I think.
Because there's only of us right now.
DOMINIC: I'm freaking out.
I'm freaking out big time.
We have no idea what's happening.
It's only day one, and I'm definitely thinking, well,
what's next?
Are you pumped?
I don't know what to expect next,
so that's why I'm a little-- still a little nervous.
[doorbell rings]
[cheering]
ADAM: Here we go again.
[theme music]
Are you pumped?
I don't know what to expect next,
so that's why I'm a little-- still a little nervous.
[doorbell rings]
Here we go again.
[screaming]
Oh, my god.
Seeing the Donatos walk through the door
for me was definitely my biggest nightmare.
d*ck won season eight by tormenting
the houseguests every day.
-How are you? -Lawon.
Nice outfit.
Thank you.
Almost as good as mine, but not quite.
There's no other reason for me to be here other than to win.
I'm here to win this show twice.
Hi.
How are you? Good to meet you.
I'm Cassi.
Good to meet you.
Well, while we're still friends, oh, my god.
Evel d*ck's one of the main reasons
I wanted to be on "Big Brother."
It was like Tori Spelling walked through the door.
What up, d*ck?
Evel d*ck was my favorite player of all time,
and then all of a sudden I'm like, wait,
I gotta play against him?
This is insane.
This is going to be a very interesting season.
It's too much stuff happening right now.
Too many old couples coming back.
My mind is like a Twizzler.
But you know what?
Bring it.
Daniele!
[cheers]
Evel d*ck walks through the door,
and then I see this girl following close behind him.
I'm like, wait a minute.
That ain't Daniele.
She doesn't have blonde hair.
I got a thing for blondes, but Daniele is hot.
Yummy, yummy, yummy.
I'm thinking about kicking Porsche to the curb.
Oh, this is sick.
I had no idea.
You look so good.
I love Daniele, and let me tell you,
she's gotta be an amazing person to be able to put
up with Evel d*ck, the father.
Nice to meet you, man.
What's your name, brother?
Evel d*ck.
Evel d*ck.
I have no idea who this fool is.
He's colored out and tatted like crazy.
And he's rolling through like he's the man.
And you see his little hoochie mama
with, like, the half shirt and the tattoos on her--
on her stomach.
And then comes the b*mb that it's not his girlfriend,
it's his daughter.
Uh, if anybody doesn't know who I am, Evel
d*ck from "Big Brother Eight."
The only winner here. ADAM: No.
Jordan.
DOMINIC: No.
No.
d*ck: I'm sorry.
Evel d*ck, what about me?
You know, like, you're forgetting that I won, too.
That was a [inaudible].
d*ck makes me feel like chopped liver,
and I hate chopped liver.
d*ck: I'm sorry about that.
Winner of "Big Brother ."
[applause]
Thank you.
d*ck: And most likable winner of them all.
We're all winners here.
[cheering]
I want to go upstairs.
Are you guys all good now, Daniele, or no?
Oh, no.
We haven't spoken in three years.
JEFF: So you guys still haven't talked?
We ran into each other once at my mom's house.
JEFF: It's got to come out sometime, right?
Oh, it's out.
Daniele and I haven't spoken in three years.
I think out of the six people, even if we
weren't coupled up, that we would have
the biggest target on our back.
She holds the record of POV wins for a season.
And, uh, you know, my reputation precedes everyone in here.
JEFF: So you guys are not on good terms is basically it?
But we love each other.
JEFF: I'm not really % sure that they
aren't on speaking terms.
Well, not talking the last time for d*ck and Daniele
got them to the final two, so whether on good terms
or bad terms, it still seems to work for them.
This is, like, crazy, right? [laughs]
DOMINIC: With all these new power
couples coming into the house, we're in for the long haul.
And the original eight need to stick together,
or we have no fighting chance.
Who will become the first HOH of the summer?
And how will the houseguests react when they learn
the final twist of the night?
[music playing]
Oh, my god.
SHELLY: Look at the bananas.
ADAM: Are those bananas?
LAWON: When I walked out in the backyard, I'm like, bananas?
We're going to be gorillas? [monkey noises]
Just like-- [monkey noises]
Like, what?
I think if there's targets on anybody,
it's the three groups that came back in.
I think right now it's, you know, past seasons' houseguests
versus the new cast.
That's kind of my intuition on what's going to happen.
So I'm hoping that a past houseguest wins.
Hello, houseguests.
ALL: Hey, Julie.
JULIE: It's time for your first Head of Household competition.
[cheering]
The Head of Household is the most powerful position
inside the Big Brother House.
Free from the threat of eviction,
this HOH must put one duo on the chopping block.
Are you ready to begin?
ALL: Yes.
JULIE: All right then.
This competition is called Going Bananas,
and the concept is simple.
Each duo must hold onto their banana as long as possible.
The last houseguest left on their banana
will be the new Head of Household.
And remember, whoever wins HOH will be safe,
and their partner will also be safe.
I'll give you now a moment to get situated on your bananas.
Uh.
d*ck: So after three years of not speaking to my daughter,
we end up with her basically sitting on my head.
This is very awkward having my daughter's a*s in my face.
Thank you.
Oh, my god.
Are you comfortable? Are you good?
Yeah, I'm good.
Any time it comes down to, we have to win,
I'm depending on Jeff.
All right, houseguests.
This competition begins now.
Don't hurt me if you fall.
It feels like it got heavier.
Oh, did I just scratch you, mama?
No, I'm good, baby.
BRENDON: Just so you guys know, the HOH bed really
isn't comfortable at all.
Oh, that was my face.
Sorry, dude.
There's eight of us new people.
There's six of these old people.
One of us new people has to win this HOH to keep
the numbers on our side.
This is going to be a battle.
I'm thinking we got the wrong strategy here, mama.
We're the only ones that did it this way.
JULIE: Well, houseguests, if there's
one thing that pairs well with bananas, it's chocolate.
ALL: Yum!
JULIE: Everyone watch out.
Bam.
We get hit with chocolate all over the place.
It's getting in my face, it's getting on my arms,
it's getting on my legs.
This chocolate is totally gross.
Is it edible?
I love chocolate.
I'm gonna slip.
Oops.
[buzzer]
JULIE: And our first victim-- Shelly is down.
Both Cassi and I said no Head of Household.
We don't want it the first week.
I don't want to look like we're just huge threats.
[laughter]
Oh, yeah.
Thank you.
Squarely into my head.
DOMINIC: Give it to me, monkey.
KEITH: Give it to me, baby.
Don't move too much on the chocolate.
You're sliding down on my arm.
The whole game was you had to really lock your position
and not move, because once I left
that clean part of the banana, I knew I was going to slide off.
[buzzer]
JULIE: The second person eliminated from
this competition is Jordan.
JEFF: Jordan is first to fall off my banana.
Big shocker.
[music playing]
Yeah.
I'm slipping.
All right.
What do I do with my head if you do fall?
All right.
You're making my hands slip, too, babe.
OK.
You good?
I'm out.
Oh, are you?
OK. Oh.
Close.
[buzzer]
JULIE: Third person down and out is Keith.
RACHEL: So I'm up on my banana, and I'm
starting to see all these newbies just drop like flies.
[buzzer]
JULIE: Cassi's down.
And I'm like, thank god.
[buzzer]
JULIE: And Lawon is down.
You all right?
Yeah.
I can give you a little push with my head.
It's OK.
Don't touch my butt with your head, please.
I'm sitting there, and then Adam's
like scooting up this giant banana,
shoving his bald head into my butt.
And I'm like, dude-- OK-- all right.
I'm fine.
I'm good.
I'm OK, Adam.
d*ck: We're up on those bananas, and we
know we need to win this HOH.
I mean, who's the biggest target?
Oh, bro, I'm losing it.
You gonna be all right?
I'm slipping too here.
[buzzer]
SHELLY: Good job, Adam.
JULIE: And Adam's down.
ADAM: [yells]
I fell, and I'm just looking up at Dominic,
and I'm praying to the banana gods
that he can find a way to pull this out.
KEITH: Come on, Jeff.
Do it for Chicago.
Yeah.
Dude, I got a bad position on this bad boy.
SHELLY: Come on, Dominic.
KEITH: Come on, Dominic.
[buzzer]
JULIE: Jeff is down.
[buzzer]
Dominic is down.
DOMINIC: I drop, and right off the bat I'm thinking,
the new school is not looking strong here.
We only have two people left in the game, Porsche and Kalia.
And both of them are not looking good.
RACHEL: Brendon is starting to struggle,
and I'm just thinking to myself, like, buddy,
you better not pull me down.
[buzzer]
JULIE: Brendon is down.
[applause]
Oh, Rachel, come on!
Am I the last guy up here?
Are you [bleep] me?
I'm the oldest by far, I'm way out of shape,
and I'm riding that banana like a bucking bronco.
Must be the competitive side of me.
My stomach is like, doing, like, complete flip-flips.
Oh.
Ooh!
[buzzer]
JEFF: So Kalia falls off, and then there's
just one newbie left, Porsche.
And at this point, I feel confident that one
of the veterans will win.
She's asleep.
She looks like she sits on a banana a lot of time.
I spend most of my time on bananas.
Hello.
[music playing]
And it's all well and good riding a big banana,
and then you get shot with whipped cream in the face.
[laughs]
[music playing]
JEFF: Good job, red team.
PORSCHE: I'm just struggling completely.
I'm trying to hang in for the newbies,
but it's really, really difficult.
Oh, her leg's shaking.
Hang in there, Porsche.
You're doing awesome.
All of our newbies' hopes here in this house
are riding on the youngest kid in the game.
If the veterans win, they're going to start picking us off,
one by one, like deer standing in a field.
They're just going to be like, boom.
Boom.
Boom.
[music playing]
[buzzer]
[applause]
JULIE: Only three people remain.
Rachel representing for her and Brendon,
and d*ck and Daniele both hanging on.
Good job, guys.
I think we should work a deal with Rachel.
Work a deal.
Do it.
You guys can fall.
You guys are safe if you fall.
It's just d*ck and Daniele and me.
Now it's time to make a deal.
And I'm like, OK, the deal is you guys fall off.
[laughs]
I'm like, I'm not stupid.
So you want to do it?
Are we cool?
Cool.
All right.
Woo-hoo.
[buzzer]
JULIE: And d*ck is down, eliminated
from this competition.
Oh, my legs are spaghetti.
DANIELE: I don't know if I can trust Rachel.
Who knows? It's "Big Brother."
You can't trust anybody.
[buzzer]
Rachel, you better keep your word.
JULIE: And Daniele is down.
Congratulations, Rachel.
You are the first HOH of the summer, and that means you
and your partner Brendon are both safe.
RACHEL: Rachel winning another Head of Household competition?
Not a surprise.
No one comes between me and my banana.
[cheering]
Yes, Rachel, thank you.
I love you, and, baby, I want to marry you today.
Good job, Dani.
Thank you.
Rachel wining Head of Household, I'm like, no!
Oh, I wanted to get the old people out first.
Her winning is definitely going to throw off my game,
because I know that we're going to be targets.
You proud of me?
I'm really proud of you.
JULIE: Rachel is the new HOH, but another twist of the game
is about to send shock waves through the house.
Stay with us.
[music playing]
[music playing]
Welcome back to "Big Brother."
Rachel has just won the first HOH competition of the summer
and must nominate one duo for eviction.
But there is one last twist.
Hello, houseguests.
Julie.
Oh, no.
JULIE: All right, everyone.
I need you to please gather in the living room.
First of all, congratulations, Rachel.
Yay.
[applause]
JULIE: So how does it feel to be the most powerful person
in the Big Brother House?
It feels crazy. [laughs]
JULIE: Well, as I told you earlier,
you and your partner Brendon are safe from eviction this week.
[applause]
But Rachel, the decision of which duo to nominate
is yours and yours alone.
And your choice is more important than ever
before, because being nominated for eviction this summer
will be both a blessing and a curse.
As in the past, one houseguest will be evicted,
but a huge advantage awaits the houseguest who
survives the chopping block.
It's called the Big Brother Golden Key.
The Golden Key guarantees you a spot in the top .
What?
Anyone who survives eviction in the first four weeks
of the game cannot be nominated until only
of you remain in the house.
Damn.
JULIE: And because the holder of the Golden Key cannot be
evicted, they will not participate in any
competitions during that time.
However, they will vote for eviction.
That is big.
ADAM: Expect the unexpected.
JULIE: Rachel, it's a lot to consider.
Yeah. [laughs]
JULIE: Goodnight, houseguests.
ALL: Good night, Julie.
That's crazy.
So how many HOHs do they skip, then?
The first four.
I'm not gonna lie.
Kalia, if it comes down to you and the Golden Key,
I have to get the Golden Key.
I'm like, OK.
So getting nominated's a good thing if you don't get cut.
The Golden Key twist this year's crazy.
If you get the key, you're scot-free till the top ,
which is awesome.
Any preconceived ideas that we came in,
"Big Brother" blew 'em all up.
I'm plotting against Daniele right now.
DANIELE: Having The Golden Key in the game
is really going to benefit me.
I will happily send my dad out the door.
I'm here to win.
I'm not here to hand him another half a million dollars.
The Golden Key totally blows my strategy out the water.
You're not playing for who you can get rid of,
you're really playing for who you're keeping.
So this Golden Key is, like, pretty
much the ultimate floater.
Now that the pairs are in place, who will take it all,
and who will fall victim to the game?
For now, let's eavesdrop on the houseguests.
From outside the Big Brother House, I'm Julie Chen.
Good night.
So I don't want to use myself as an example, but--
[laughter]
DOMINIC: Go ahead.
Go ahead.
Let's say Adam and Dom go up--
Thanks, guys.
So two people go up-- -OK.
Let's say Pete and Nancy go up.
OK?
And Pete goes home.
Nancy's safe till there's people left.
PORSCHE: Pete being you, and Jordan being Nancy?
That's crazy.
Then how does someone else get nominated?
Well, that's what I'm saying. So if you--
JEFF: Like, if I take myself--
[music playing]
