[tires screeching]

[growls]

[growling]

[sirens blaring]

Don't lose them, Calahan.

This is the night I'm gonna
nail those Ghostbusters.

I can feel it!

[driver] Yes, sir.

[all screaming]

[growls]

[all screaming]

[continues growling]

Nothing to worry about, folks.
The Ghostbusters are on the job.

All right, Double Bubble, drop the piano.

[growling]

Blast him!

[proton pack blasts]

Blast him open!

Slimer, we need a scouting report
on that ghost.

Me?

You got it, little fellow.

[Slimer blubbers]

Be careful down there, Slimer.

I will.

[tires screeching]

Get the lead out, Calahan.

I wanna know every move
those rotten Ghostbusters make.

They're troublemakers
and phonies and I'm gonna prove it.

Yes, sir.

-[Slimer screams]
-Huh?

[gasps]

Are you OK, Mr. Peck?

I'm--I'm fine.

What was that thing?

[growling]

[both screaming]

[Slimer screaming]

Nail him!

[growling]

Trap open.

It's all over, folks.

This Class-5 is put to bed.

-[man 1] All right! Hey, yeah.
-Oh, it's so wonderful.

[man 2] All right, Ghostbusters! Yay!

[woman 1] Yay!

-[man 3] All right. Way to go!
-[woman 2] They did it.

[all cheering]

[snores]

Ghostbusters!

Look at them, Calahan.
They think they're big heroes.

Did I tell you how they made me
look like a fool and cost me my job?

Yes, sir, several times.

But I'm back now, stronger than ever

and I'm gonna get even
for what they did to me.

How are you gonna do that, Mr. Peck?

I have a plan, Calahan.

A brilliant plan.

[Ray and Slimer]
♪ It's raining it's pouring ♪

♪ The old man is snoring ♪

♪ He bumped his head
And he went to bed ♪

All right.

Ghostbusters Central.

What's that, sir?

[Slimer continues singing]

Repeat that, please.

I said that there's a very
dangerous ghost on the rampage

at the government
research facility in Queens,

in Testing Lab 5.

Ghostbusters. Emergency.

Huh?

[alarm blaring]

I wish I could see their faces

when they find out
there are no ghosts in there.

But what's even funnier
is when they get arrested for spying.

[both laughing]

It's definitely not performing
like it should,

but I can't find out why.

It's been sluggish for two days

and I haven't been able
to find the reason either.

OK, where is the ghost?

What ghost?

[exclaim]

Remember, men,
they're extremely dangerous.

So, use caution.

Are you gentlemen aware
that this lab is a high security area?

Yes, sir, but since this was an emergency

we thought there'd be no problem.

Obviously, you thought wrong.

As you can see, there are no ghosts here.

I wouldn't be too sure of that, miss.

Ray, I'm getting a strong reading here.

Activate the Specter Detector.

We've got one, all right.

A Class-5 right there in the centrifuge.

What?

Let's flush him out.

[growls]

[Slimer screaming]

[continues screaming]

Hold your fire, guys.

[crying]

I've nailed them this time Calahan,
right against the wall!

Yes, sir.

-[growling]
-[screaming]

[gasps]

-[continues growling]
-[continues screaming]

I'm outta here.

[exclaims]

[growling]

Gentlemen, I salute you.

That was a fine job
you did on that pesky ghost,

a fine job.

And getting rid of that ghost,
returned our centrifuge to normal.

You guys are great!

Miserable Ghostbusters,
they ruined my plan.

I hate them! Wait a minute!

That's it!

Why didn't I think of this before?

Calahan, this time I'll get them
where it really hurts.

I'll find some racks, Slimer,
then we'll get to work.

And no playing around
with the water, OK?

I don't want a big mess in here.

OK, Winston.

Aha!

[mumbling]

[screams]

Quiet, slime ball,
you're coming with us.

Uh-uh.

Adios.

Hey! Come back here!

Janine, Janine!

Slimer, what's wrong?

[panting] Bad guys, bad guys!

What bad guys?

Mr. Peck.

What are you doing here?

We want that--that gelatin mold.

What's the problem here, Janine?

Remember me, Ghostbusters? Walter J. Peck.

Now with the B.U.F.O.

"The B.U.F.O?"

The Bureau of Unidentifiable
Flying Organisms.

And what you have here is a UFO,
thus, you are breaking the law.

You've gotta be kidding, Peck.

I assure you, Dr. Venkman,
I am very serious

and this warrant for your
slimy friend's arrest proves it.

Let me see that.

It proves, Dr. Venkman,

that I have all the powers
of the government on my side.

What are you gonna do to Slimer?

Scientists will run
a series of tests on him.

What kind of tests?

General tests to determine what this...

This organism is exactly.

And you know how unpleasant
those kind of tests can be.

[whimpers]

All right, you,
whatever you are, into the box!

No, I don't wanna go!

I warn you, Ghostbusters,
cooperate on this,

or I'll close you down permanently!

Bye-bye.

You'll never get away with this, Peck!

That's right! No way man!

Don't worry, Slimer,
we'll have you back here in an hour.

Make that half an hour!

I wouldn't count on it.

Oh, no, Slimer!

Goodbye, Ghostbusters.

Hang in there, you little spud.

The Ghostbusters are not allowed inside
under any circumstances! Understand?

Yes, sir, Mr. Peck.

Quiet, Slime bag!

[blows raspberry]

[indistinct chatter on phone]

Mayor, are you saying that
because this is a scientific matter,

there's nothing you can do about it?

[indistinct chatter on phone continues]

Fine! But the next time
there's a ghost in your closet, pal,

don't call us!

His hands are tied, he says.

"There's nothing I can do," he said.

So, what's our next move?

Easy, we're going down
to that research center

and bring Slimer home ourself.

[in German accent]
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.

We are privileged today to have with us
for a close hand inspection

a fascinating creature

that perhaps may lead to
some scientific breakthroughs.

[screams]

Come on out, Slimer.

No one will hurt you.

[screams]

In case you're wondering,

the walls of this laboratory
have been lead-lined

to keep the creature from escaping.

The food and the table
has been laid out into individual groups

in order to determine
what kind of diet the creature prefers.

Ooh!

Yummy, yummy, yummy!

[sniffs] Ooh, yum.

Poor Slimer.

He looked so scared in that little box.

Yeah, the little spud
is probably pretty miserable.

[laughing]

[giggling]

Will you please sit still?

I can't...It tickles! [giggling]

[Slimer continues laughing]

[sirens wailing]

Now, we shall find out what's going on

inside the brain and body

of our little ectoplasmic friend here.

[machine beeping]

How perfectly strange.

[all clamoring]

[groans]

The Ghostbusters, to see...

The Ghostbusters are not allowed in

under any circumstances.

Why not?

Orders from Mr. Peck.

Ugh, Peck!

[Janine] Now, what, guys?

Find another way in.

We have concluded, Mr. Peck,

that there is no classification
for this creature.

Though he is a gentle creature,

he is neither animal, vegetable or mineral

and could pose
a possible danger to our world.

Then we'll just have to send him back
where he came from.

No!

Take him to the cyclotron.

The cyclotron?

Maybe this is a dumb question.

But how do we get over this fence?

No problem, Janine,
we'll use the jet jumper.

Have you tested it yet, Winston?

Yeah, it cleared five feet.

Well, that's comforting.

This fence is at least ten feet.

Yeah, right.

We may have to lighten the load a little.

Keep your fingers crossed,
here it goes.

OK, so maybe we lightened
the load a tad too much.

"A tad?"

Hey, it worked, didn't it?

[tires screeching]

Getting rid of this slimy little ghost
is only the first step, Calahan.

Piece by piece,

I'm going to dismantle
the entire Ghostbusters operation.

[squeals]

[PKE meter beeping]

I have a strong Slimer reading

from a building
about 2 o'clock, Winston.

[Slimer screaming]

[screams]

It won't be long now.

[screams]

Peck, where's Slimer?

You're too late, Ghostbusters.

Your slimy little friend
is on his way back to where he belongs.

Peter, Slimer's in there.

Turn it off, Peck, now!

Never! He's going back where he belongs.

Egon, how do you shut this thing off?

Master power switch, here!

Stop that machine, Peck!

Save your breath, Ghostbusters.

I won't stop it until
your friend is taken care of.

Mr. Peck, this is unsafe.

The cyclotron is not designed
for long-term operation at high speed.

We have to shut it down.

That's impossible, Doctor.

I changed the stop code myself
which is written on this paper.

Nobody shuts it down but me!

I'm through playing games, Peck.

What's the code?

I--I don't remember.

If we don't stop it soon,

this whole building will blow up.

If we fire our beams together,

the cyclotron's magnetic field
will bend them into a ring,

like a lasso and maybe we can stop it.

Let's do it!

Everybody, clear out!
We're gonna try and stop this thing.

Janine, that means you, too.

No way, Ray! I wanna be right here

when Slimer climbs out of that machine.

OK! Hit it, guys!

Lower the frequency two stops.

It's working, guys, forward on!

[cyclotron powers down]

Slimer?

Oh, Slimer!

Poor little spud.

Oh, I'll even miss
those slimy little kisses.

I'm sorry, Slimer,
I wish we could've got here sooner man.

Take care, big guy.

I, uh...

I'll miss you, Slimer, very much.

You were a good friend.

I love you, Slimer.

[sobs] I love you too, Slimer.

You were the best.

Slimer!

[groans]

All right.

[Janine] You gave us such a scare!

We all owe you a great deal
of thanks, Ghostbusters.

If you hadn't stopped
that cyclotron in time,

there would have been a disaster.

You're heroes in my book, big heroes!

And as for you imbeciles, you're fired!

Permanently.

Get them out of my sight!

And as for you, Slimer,

I present you
with this Good Conduct medal.

Ooh!
[exclaims excitedly]

[chuckles] Uh...

Where exactly should I pin it?

Uh, right there on his chest, General.

Uh, the middle lump.

I salute you, Slimer.

[blows]
