[theme music]

[music continues]

[pleasant music]

[man shivering]

No. No!

[groaning]

Aah!

No!

[glass shattering]

[fire crackling]

[snarling]

slam

[howling]

[fire roaring]

[intense music]

[snarling]

He'll be fine, Tuk.
He's a strong boy.

Just like his father.

whoosh

What is it?

Perhaps it was nothing.

grrr

Take him home to bed.
I'll see you in the morning.

Thank you for seeing
my son so late, Dr. Metier.

Not a problem, Tuk.

[engine cranks]

grrr

[gasps]

skrrreeek skrrreeek

crack

Aah!

grrr grrr

Ugh! Oh!

arooo

slam

[g*nsh*t]

whoosh

Aah!

Stop!

How is it you speak
and a wolf listens?

I don't know
what you're saying.

Don't you?

arooo

arooo

[theme music]

[Jonny]
'I don't get it, pop.'

You're telling us that the wolf
jumped through the window

to attack her,
and then stopped?

- That's what Dr. Metier said.
- I don't buy it, Ben.

[Race]
'I've never heard
of a wolf attacking someone'

'in there own home.'

[Hadji]
'I'm as skeptical
as you are, Race.'

Well, the sooner we trap
this mysterious animal

'the sooner
we'll get to the truth.'

[Race]
'I don't know.'

'I'm not so ready to believe
somebody crazy enough'

'to come all the way out here
just to practice medicine.'

Race, I'd like you
to meet Dr. Marie Metier.

Uh, pleasure, Dr. Metier.

I was just saying
how courageous it is

to practice medicine
in a remote place like this.

Courage comes
in all shapes and sizes.

Benton tells me you're quite
the hero, Mr. Bannon.

Well, that uh, proves you can't
believe everything you hear.

And, please, call me Race.

Only if you call me Marie.

Thank you so much
for coming, Benton.

No thanks needed.
You're practically family.

[whining]

'It's good to see you, too,
Monsieur Bandit.'

You know, Marie..

...I've never heard
of a wolf attack like this.

I know what I saw.

Are you absolutely sure
it was a wolf?

Yes.

[Tuk]
'It is no wolf.'

No wolf could take a b*llet
in the heart and still not die.

- Perhaps you missed.
- I never miss.

Next time,
I will k*ll the wolf.

How are you gonna do that

if you didn't miss
the last time.

'Now...I have better b*ll*ts.'

Silver b*ll*ts?
Are you kidding?

I guess not.

Somebody oughta tell Tuk
that the only thing

any animal should be shot with,
is a tranquilizer dart.

[snarling]

[gasps]

[intense music]

[door creaking]

[Bandit whining]

woof woof

What is it, Bandit?
Where's she going?

grr

woof woof

Shh.

I know you are out there.

I don't know who
or what you are

'but you must
leave this place.'

grr

[Jonny]
'Marie, look out!'

[gasps]

[snarling]

grrr

[Tuk]
'Move out of the way,
Dr. Metier!'

Huh!

No!

I knew you were friend
to the werewolf.

Move doctor,
or I will k*ll you, too.

[Marie]
'No!'

[g*nsh*t]

swoosh

[yelps]

You fool!
I could have k*lled him.

Take it easy, big guy.

Jonny, you and Marie,
head back to the cabin.

I'll follow Tuk.

[intense music]

[growling]

Aah! Argh!

[hissing]

Shootfire!
No air pressure.

slam

[yelps]

grr

thud

[yelping]

It sounds kinda lame

but I don't think
the wolf wanted to k*ll Marie.

You're right, Jonny.
I saw it in his eyes.

Shame he didn't feel
the same way about me and Tuk.

[Benton]
We'll double
the tranquilizer dosage.

There.
That should do it.

Hey, Hadj,
you don't think Miss Metier

'could be a werewolf, do you?'

'I think not, Jonny.

The full moon
has no affect on her.'

She does, however, posses
a certain power over the wolves.

[Jonny]
'You can say that again.'

[engine revving]

woof woof woof

I want radio contact
at the first sign of the wolf.

We meet back here
before sundown.

You got it, pop.

Be careful, Race.

Relax. I'll be as safe as a cow
in a Calcutta stockyard.

vroom

[dramatic music]

vroom vroom

Looks like there's a
burned down cabin down there.

- Let's check it out.
- Alright.

But it'll be dark
in two hours.

After this,
we gotta head back.

[engine revving]

Come on, I'll race ya!

vroom

vroom

What's it look like,
Race?

It was some kind
of laboratory.

[Benton]
'A laboratory
in the middle of the Yukon?'

It looks like
there was a struggle

and the fire
could have been arson.

'I found some tracks
outside that just might'

'belong to our wolf.'

Well, it's almost dark.

Note your position
on the map

'and we'll start our search
from there tomorrow.'

Race, come here.

Look at these.

Metier, Metier, Metier.

Whoa!
This one's about Marie.

'"Dr. Marie Metier
given humanitarian award'

'for her work
in the Yukon."'

Come on,
we'd better head back.

[panting]

growl

ruff ruff ruff

Hey, Bandit!

Ugh!

I flooded the engine.

Hang tight, kiddo.
I'll get him.

vroom

Oh, man!

ruff ruff ruff

Bandit!

vroom

[crash]
Whoa!

ruff ruff ruff

whining

Race, are you okay?

arooo

[shivering]

Argh!

Jonny, I smell gasoline.

It's your bike.
It's busted up pretty bad.

And so is the radio.

Take your bike.
Leave me here.

As food for the wolves?
No way, Race.

Dad and Hadj will find us.

I'm telling you
to leave me.

Oh, man,
this is not good!

ruff ruff ruff

Bandit!
Bandit, come back!

'Bandit!
Bandit, here, boy.'

growl

'Come back.
Come on.'

Uh-oh.

[growling]

I don't know, Bandit..

...uh, under
the circumstances..

...I think the best thing
we can do is...run!

[growling]

[panting]

crack

Aah!

thud

[wolf yelping]

thud

thud

crack

[coughing]

Ugh!

[coughs]

[Professor Metier]
'Help me! Please!'

Help me!
Take this book.

'Use the formula.'

'Try to make the serum.'

[growling]

'For pity sake, help me.'

aroooo

[howling]

Run, boy!
Uhh!

Run!

arooooo

'Run while you still can.'

arooooo

- 'Race, Race.'
- Ugh! Ohh!

We gotta
get out of here.

[growling]

Dr. Quest, over here.
I have found their trail.

[growling continues]

zap

boom

[wolves yelping]

Over there!

[Marie]
'Oh, Race.'
Mon petit chou.

How do you feel?

Like I was run down
by the Santa Fe railroad.

Marie, this has
gone on long enough.

Your pendant,
the ring Jonny found

Professor Metier's journal

they all bare your
family's code of arms

and they're all connected
with the werewolf.

- You have to be honest with me.
- I did not mean to lie to you.

Only now, am I beginning
to believe in the legend.

Legend?
What you talking about?

For countless generations,
the men of my family

have been persecuted
as werewolves.

I thought it all a fairytale
until...I read the journal

of this tortured soul.

[Professor Metier writing]
The disease still grips me.

I have lived with it
all my life

and still, each full moon
is like a new nightmare.

Who could I tell?
Who would believe me?

I hardly believe it myself.

And yet,
just two days ago

I came to consciences
covered in blood.

Whose? I..
I do not know.

This serum must be successful.

It's been so many years
searching for the antidote.

But no matter how hard I try

all my experiments
end in failure.

I drift between forms,
changing from a demon at night

to a half man half monster
during the day.

I hover between lives

a ghost, a devil,
a man, a beast!

No one can know my agony.

I have located
my last living blood relative.

She is my only hope.

It's all here in this journal.

But if Professor Metier had the
formula to make the antidote

why is he still a werewolf?

Because I have
the one ingredient he lacked.

My blood.

Professor Metier believed
his disease to be purely genetic

but that somehow
the female Metiers are immune.

Isolating the female recessive
gene, mainly to a serum.

[Hadji]
'A werewolf vaccine!'

It's only possible
with your help.

There, I have it!

Now, all we need
is the wolf.

Don't worry, Jonny.
He will come to me.

Using yourself as bait
is too dangerous, Marie.

It is the only way.

Whatever happens,
I want you to have this.

It has always
brought me luck.

arooo

[snarling]

Look, beyond Marie,
in the shadows.

[Race]
'I see him.'

grrr

'Come on out.'

I can't get a clear shot
till it comes out.

I have a bad feeling
about this, Dr. Quest.

What is she doing?

[growling]

[Jonny]
'What's going on?'

[Hadji]
'It is as if she is mesmerized.'

[Jonny]
'sh**t it, Race!'

[Hadji]
'He is going to attack!'

[Race]
'She's in the way!'

Marie!

I can't get a clear shot.

We've gotta do something!

Jonny, no!

arooo

Are you alright,
my friend?

[werewolf howling]

That had to be the stupidest
thing I've ever seen you do!

But, dad, I--

Then again, it was probably
the bravest thing

I've ever seen anyone do.

I just hope,
for Professor Metier's sake

the serum worked.

You know, I think
I rather like this.

What?

Having someone
doctor me for a change.

Thank you.
Thank all of you.

'Benton, Hadji
and especially you, Jonny.'

'I don't how else to say it.
You saved my life.'

Found him.

Up on the mountain,
naked and half dead.

[Hadji]
'Fate is a strange master.'

You tried to
k*ll him as a wolf

but it was your destiny
to save him as a man.

[Iris]
'Welcome to Quest World.'

'Please specify desired data.'

'Commencing deletion
of Saturn file.'

[upbeat music]

'Searching.'

[music continues]

'File found.'

'File deleted.'

'Thank you
for accessing Quest World.'
