own hands almost 50 years ago,

it was my dream to build
a place where our community

could do the thing we love
with the people we love.

what nonsense was going on

outside these walls,
right here on this wood,

it would all just melt away.

Now, I don't need to tell you
how rinks like these

are disappearing across this country.

You know that.

Greedy landlords pricing us out
left and right.

But as long as I'm here,

there is gonna be a place to roll in NYC.
