FLASH GORDON: Blastingoff on a desperate mission

to save Earth from
the evil plottings

of the tyrannical spaceLord, Ming the Merciless--

[evil laughter]

FLASH GORDON: --Dr. Hans Zarkovand Dale Arden have joined me,

Flash Gordon, on a fantasticjourney into worlds where

peril and adventure await us.

[roar]

[growl]

[explosions]

NARRATOR: Arboria's
Leaf Fighters

fend off Ming's unprovokedattack upon the forest kingdom.

[laser blasts]

Flash leads a raiding partyin a captured mole machine,

in a desperate
attempt to save Earth.

Already, Ming hasbrought Mongo dangerously

close to Earth, preparing tounleash his invasion force.

We have to alter
Mongo's course,

or Earth will be devastated.

It seems that I
have underestimated

you, Flash Gordon.

NARRATOR: Gainingentrance to the Emperor's

secret laboratory,
Flash finds himself

the last hope to prevent Ming'smad dream of galactic conquest.

But time is growing short.

[music playing]

[laughter]

[thud]

The powerful and
controlled effects

of the gravitational rayhave carried both planets

to the brink of disaster.

While Flash eludes
Ming's wrath, Dale

seizes the opportunity todestroy the diabolical machine.

[music playing]

[electrical blasts]

Earth is saved.

But Ming escapes.

And Flash, Dale, and Zarkov findthemselves trapped on Mongo.

[music playing]

You did it, Flash.

Fools.

You but delay my
plans for a while.

I can afford to wait.

We have stopped Ming.

Let's hope Thun and
the others are doing

as well with Ming's metalmen.

Flash should better hurry.

We can't hold out
here much longer.

Ming may have cut them off.

VULTAN: If so, we'd better startthinking about pulling out.

[laser fire]

[laser fire]

We can't fight heavy
armor with hand weapons.

We can't leave without
Flash and his friends.

Remember-- Ming wants
them taken alive.

DALE ARDEN: The rope's
not long enough.

It'll have to do.

Remember, you're strongerhere on Mongo than on Earth.

[music playing]

They can't get away.

What holds us on the roadway?

It's magnetized.

The cars can't skid or slide.

In that case, let's move out.

All quadrants-- the
three Earth people

are fleeing on Arcway 903.

Intercept and
capture at angle 19.

[the vehicle roars]

[shots fired]

I don't think he
likes the way you drive.

With Ming's
guards on our tail,

I haven't got time to be polite.

Here we go.

[smash]

[laser blasts]

I've got to ram
our way through.

[thud]

If we can hold
this thing together

long enough to reach
those mountains,

maybe we've got a chance.

DALE ARDEN: They've
opened the bridge.

We can't stop!

[splash]

[music playing]

Captain Erzine reporting.

The three Earth
fugitives have perished

through their own actions.

All units, return to the palace.

They think that
expl*si*n got us.

You OK, Doc?

Half drowned.

But otherwise fine.

Heh.

What do we do now?

Do you miss theluxuries of Ming's palace?

About as much as I missdear Emperor Ming himself.

If you're right, andthey think we're done for,

they won't be looking for us.

Which means we've got
a chance of rejoining

Prince Barin in Arboria.

Any idea where we are?

Nope.

But Arboria is due west
of Ming's capital city,

and we're somewhere
south of that.

At least we're on the
right side of the river.

Dr. Zarkov-- there's no waywe can ever get back to Earth.

Our chances aren't good.

When Flash demolished Ming'splanetary drive controls,

he sent Mongo lunging
back into deep space.

Beyond our solar system.

Maybe our chances ofgetting back aren't so hot.

But at least there's still
an Earth to go back to.

[music playing]

If it weren't for
Ming the Merciless,

it might be a wonderful
place to live.

Maybe we can dosomething about that, too.

[grunts]

[music playing]

DALE ARDEN: What kind of
a place is this, Flash?

FLASH GORDON: Savage.

It's like Earth during
prehistoric times.

ZARKOV: I don't think so.

[crash]

If I am right, these
people are being

kept in this primitive stage.

[grunts]

[music playing]

[threatening grunts]

[music playing]

BEAST MAN: Yah.

Grr.

Grr.

[music playing]

[CHANTING IN BACKGROUND - "MING"]

Flash-- it's a statue of Ming.

[chanting - "ming"]

They're worshipping
that thing.

As if Ming is their god.

[chanting - "ming"]

Flash-- what are
they going to do to us?

Whatever they have
in mind, I don't

think we're going to like it.

[chanting continues]

[music playing]

[chanting]

Roar-- ah!

Grr-- ah--

[chanting - "ming"]

Roar-- ah!

MING THE MERCILESS [VOICEOVER]:I am your god, Ming.

[chanting - "ming" - "obey me"]

BEAST MAN: Not harm.

[music playing]

MING THE MERCILESS[VOICEOVER]: Keep them for me.

BEAST MAN: Keep them--

hold them-- not harm.

Now-- follow me!

[chanting]

The only way to go is up.

FLASH GORDON: The holes in therobe-- they look like stairs.

Let's see where they lead.

theory of evolution.

Sure thing you couldn't bedescended from tree swingers.

[commotion continues]

worse over there.

This is where we part company.

and kept it for his armada.

we see what going on.

ERZINE: You're sure
they'll be here?

There is no other way out ofthe caverns of the beast men.
