01x04 - When Monsters Meet

Post by bunniefuu »

Hi, g*ng. This is Stan Lee. What do you

say we take a little trip, just to keep

the Hulk company? Here we are in Paris,

home of the mighty Arc de Triomphe, the

famous Eiffel Tower, and of course, the

ancient, mysterious cathedral, which

was the home of one of fiction's most

grotesque characters,

Quasimodo, the hunchback of

Notre Dame.

Oh, Bruce. Oh, it's magnificent,

isn't it?Yes, it is, Betty. I've always

wanted to see Notre Dame.

Oh, I I thought I saw

something move up there on the parapet.

You shouldn't have read about Quasimodo

before we came here. Now you're seeing

things. Oh, don't be silly. I'm a

scientist like you, Dr. Banner.

And right now, we have the evening

meeting at the Academy of Science.

And we don't want to be late.

The gold key. The time has come.

Salvatore. Salvatore.

Where are you?

You saw what I saw. And you heard their

words.

Precisely. An American scientist

joining the rest of the great scientific

minds of the world who have gathered

here. We must observe.

And listen. One. Perhaps

more may be able to help me.

Willingly or not, I cannot,

must not remain a monster for all my

days. There is hope.

There is hope!

Bruce, listen, the cathedral bells are

ringing. But how strange.

Yes, it's the wrong time. When the bells

ring like that, there are those who say

it is the ghost of Quasimodo.

Come along, Salvadore.

The gold key.

ohh Of course I saw it. There

is only one other like it.

Precisely. It is exactly the same as the

gold key worn by the Minister of Finance.

Listen to me, all of you.

Out there in the sewers and tunnels, how

long have I... Nay, how long have we

searched?It is

there. Vault of gold.

Riches beyond even my wildest

dreams. Yes, it is there, somewhere,

buried in the rock beneath the city. The

wealth of many nations hidden away,

known to but a few. That woman a

scientist?HmmPerhaps.

But, my friends, perhaps a secret

agent.

Ah, you agree. Otherwise, why would she,

of all people, have that key? There is

much to be learned this time. Go!

Clear the way. Return to the dour

salvadore and keep a sharp watch until I

return. You've probably

figured it out by now. He's not the

original Quasimodo. He's not even the

ghost of Quasimodo. No.

He's the great-great-great-great-great

grandson of Quasimodo, a

descendant of the original

Hunchback of Notre Dame. But there's

one great difference between the two of

them. The first Quasimodo was

kind-hearted and good. Gah! Get

out of my way! But

this one is just the opposite.

This one is fiendishly evil.

And he has seen

Betty Ross. We have

arrived, my friends. The whole are

science. Ah, thank you. I

still think I should go with you. I need

to to meet that... The Minister of

Finance?Hmm, I never should have told

you. Now all you do is worry. But why do

you have to meet him at midnight?Because

no one must see us. Look, it's only to

match the key to his. don't forget, a

large part of that gold shipment arriving

soon belongs to our government. But you

don't even know where that secret vault

is, buried underground somewhere. But he

does. And once the gold is safely stored,

my job will be finished. Frankly, I was

quite honored when I was asked to... To

Be a secret agent. Oh, you make it sound

so, so mysterious. Come on, I want to

hear your talk.

I was fine. Soon I shall be a

most wealthy monster.

An excellent talk, Dr. Bernier.

Excellent. Thank you, Professor Royale.

But no one's rushing up with any answers

to my gamma ray problems. I may

not have an answer, but perhaps, oh,

in my own research,Certain

laboratory animals have been helped by

this chemical I've been developing. Wow.

How much of this do you have? This is all.

The result of nearly 10 years, a decade

of research. You are welcome to it.

Professor, I I don't know how to thank

you. It is a scientist's duty to share.

Well, what was that all about? You have to

meet the Minister of Finance, remember?

Wait here while I call a cab.

Here! Taxi! Taxi!

What's that?

Stop!

Betty!

Betty! This way, doctor, if you're there.

Betty! Betty!

No!

I assure you, Dr. Banner, she is...

She is...

What?Ohh

No!

Within a hidden dungeon, the evil

Hunchback of Notre Dame and the

Incredible Hulk risk all

in a battle for Betty Ross, who is a

prisoner of the fiendish Quasimodo.

The Hulk!

The window, if I can only... got

to try!

I know every inch of this place. The

tunnels, the sewers out there.

The entire city of Paris! You think you

have a chance against me?

ohh No tamagawdy.

He's mine.

Where's Betty?!You'll

never find that

To the Eiffel Tower, and there all

pirates will see the end. Not the Hulk.

I will be a hero. Masimodo will put an

end to the Hulk. Ah

ohh

So powerful is the Hulk's bare-fisted

blow that it endangers the

terrified elevator riders.

Have you seen Dr. Banner?Mi no memosir.

He has not returned. Thank you.

Come along, Hulk. The higher we go, the

harder you will fall.

He

lives! Down!

The end of

the hot

Quasimodo with...

The hold is no

more. We must return to the woman. She

escaped?Where did she go?

Hello, daddy. Go. Keep

watch. Tell me the moment she leaves. Go.

Go, go, go, go, go, go, go.

Saved by his own savage

strength, the Hulk still lives

and changes once again.

But what of Betty Ross?Little does she

dream as she goes to meet the Minister of

Finance that a pair of evil

eyes are watching.

Finally, Betty reaches the main terminal

of the Paris subway, little dreaming of

the danger that awaits her. Ah,

Mademoiselle Ross, you are right on time.

We are almost ready, Mademoiselle. Ohh

You do have your keys, yes?Yes, right

here. Sebien, good.

The truck came from Switzerland without

incident. Now, the goal is our

responsibility. Come.

You see?Out of service. Who would suspect?

The gold will be locked safely under the

floor until we are safely

inside the vault.

Salvatore, Betty's still a prisoner.

And Professor Royale's formula is gone!

A metro car. Hmm, how clever. One

car shouldn't be too hard to locate.

Come, Come along, Salvatore.

Thank heaven, it's here.

Is that a secret potion? Is that

what makes you normal again? It might.

It's never been tried. It's still an

experiment. Then experiment on me. I'm

doomed to look like this forever

unless... Dr. Banner, at this

precise moment Bentley Ross is aboard a

metro car carrying millions in gold to

the secret fattest vault. You You know

that?

Down here I know everything. This is my

realm. I could become most wealthy should

I so choose. But I would give up all the

gold in the world if I could only be

a normal man.

You must! I'm only a

monster part of the time. But this

poor creature...

Well, well, nothing is happening. Time.

Give it more time. Time! There is no more

time! It is worthless, fake, a

trick to keep me from getting the gold.

No, No wait, wait listen to me!

Enough! The gold will all be mine,

monster or not. While you, I

leave you to Salvatore.

Stop!

No!

We'll crash into the vault doors! We'll

do! Penny! Wait!

Look at me! It worked!

The potion worked! I...

That girl, you must save her! Quickly!

Through there! It's the only way!

David! Stop the car!

Hold your fire! close the door!

Mona me!My friend.

Dr. Banner?

Yes, Dr. Banner. I am or was

Quasimodo. Well, uh,

congratulations. Welcome to the real

world. I don't know what to say. Well,

then don't say anything, just enjoy your

life from now on. But what about you?I

mean, I I know what you did for me, and I

don't know how to thank you. But the

formula?It's all right. I'm a scientist.

And And there'll be another time.

Oh, Bruce, listen. The bells of Notre

Dame. I wish we could stop and listen all

day. No time for that, Betty. I'm afraid

we have a plane to catch. For home. Home.

Oh, it'll be good to get back. I've had

enough excitement in Paris.

But there's never enough excitement for

us. Hey, true believers.
